Seasons greetings from the elf Kekko people of Maverick! The galactic year is close to an end, and the people of Maverick are close to their own winter solace after a few cold months. Almost every race celebrates the midway point through their most difficult season and this is Maverick’s. In the city capital the Kekko people have built another giant statue decorated in brilliant lights for their own festival. Under the statue is a large pile of wrapped gifts, as it seems to be their version of a tree. In honor of their treasure finding ruler, the Kekko’s have begrudgingly donated their own treasures to travelers who must give gifts in exchange. They hope to come out richer than they started, as is the Kekko way, but it is a matter of both chance and good will. The Presents:
Event is over! Onto trades. You have until the update deadline of 1/8 to confirm your trade! Remember both parties must reply here agreeing, or at least liking the post of the other.

Another year and another holiday in the Universe. Mira did not truly understand what all of these holidays were for, but he did know that they always seemed to give him something good. Last year, he got a knock off version of a Ki Absorption Device… Maybe this year he would get the real thing? He only destroyed 1 planet and killed a few billion people in the process. He wasn’t that bad right?
The Android was seemingly the first to go. He put his offering for the Kekko's in the basket and moved on. Stupid entrance fees... He liked taking the initiative after hearing about the event and figured instead of waiting for Towa to show up, he would draw a gift first from the stash of items.
He noted items that looked like they belonged to specific factions and even a gun. He did enjoy himself weaponry like that, but was that truly what he was looking for here?
A number of gifts grabbed his attention, but one in particular stuck out. It was the most extravagantly wrapped gift of them all. He was greedy and while it was likely one of the gifts at an exchange that looked awesome and truly was just normal, he could not resist the urge being the first one to pick a gift. Yup it was going to be that one. Hopefully he did not fall for the trap, but it was very likely that he had picked a dud. At least no one else would be tempted though.

Pagoma knew the year was winding down, and that soon Planet Frieza would be nearly frozen over. While many non-Changeling inhabitants of Planet Frieza would retreat to warmer spaces, the toughest warriors stayed behind and weathered the storm. Pagoma had done that the year prior, but since Lord Frost wasn’t present on the planet to train with him, he decided to go elsewhere.
Pagoma heard a rumor that some natives from Maverick were giving out valuables as part of some winter tradition. He had never been to Maverick but if there was loot to steal from the naive natives, he was all about it. The only catch was he had to bring a gift in exchange.
After arriving on Maverick, Pagoma found the magical properties of the gifts wouldn’t allow him to steal all of them but he would be allowed to take one in exchange for his gift. Seeing the other gifts present, Pagoma decided to gift his own blade - the Apollyon, in exchange for his gift. It was a very rare, very powerful sword; yet he found it useless since acquiring the Chaos Breaker. His hope was his gift in return would be something equally as interesting.
Now allowed access to the gifts, Pagoma scanned them carefully knowing he could only keep one. He lightly snickered at a few of the more twisted wrapping papers such as one with gingerbread men in various states of anguish, but ultimately decided on one with some sparkles on its ribbon and blades on its paper.

“Just 1 gift,” Blossom said as she walked up with her two sisters. Of course, seeing three people would suggest that there would be at-least 3 gifts! But Blossom only had a cake with her. It was a cake she baked herself, which was an extravagant gift – Blossom was an excellent baker. It would be a temporary gift, sure, but one that was delicious. Blossom handed her gift to – well whoever was supposed to be taking it and as she did, her eyes moved on to the prizes before her. There was an android that went first and she waited with a frown. She had her eye on a prize, and Blossom knew she would have to be nice. If she wasn’t nice then, she probably wouldn’t get a chance to grab anything – plus the guy looked a bit strong.
Didn’t matter, she would have still fought him if it came down to it. He chose and then she realized she was still in … a line. Someone else was posted up before she could as well. “Well, I surely hope I don’t miss out on anything interesting or fun.”
“Ah, you probably won’t. I’m waiting too. I gave them this cat I found sleeping outside. She could talk and everything! At-least she was talking in her sleep. I was also told she was blue. I had never seen a blue cat before. I mean, I can’t see shit now but that is besides the point,” said a voice behind her. Blossom turned to see a young girl, who was a little taller than her bit a few inches. She had 2 different color eyes and her demeanor was very relaxed. Well, at-least she was behind her and not in-front.
Nijusan looked toward Blossom taking note that she did turn around. “Oh, sorry man. I didn’t mean to intrude in your monologue or whatever. You were just… kinda loud. Thought you were talking to anybody. Your 2 friends or sisters or whoever they are kind of left to go do other things.”
Niju was right, as Blossom looked around. “Oh, you are right. I thought they were around.”
“Nope, just us right now. So which one you are going to go for?”
Blossom went into thought as she moved up to the statue and she looked directly to package 6 and its green wrapping paper. Those gingerbread men were pretty cute. She liked the ones that were sad and angry. “I think this one,” she said as she picked it up.
“Oh neat. Well I’ma let Jutters give me a better visual real quiiiick annnnd ah,” she let out as she instantly went to the 10th present. Is that the Avalonian Crest thingie ma jig? I am so fascinated with that little group of weirdos. I’ll take this one.”
And then there was the screech of a cat, as the blue cat tore from the grasp of one of the attendants that was holding her. “What in the world!? How did I end up here,” the cat yelled. Before the attendants could find Nijusan, she—was gone. Yup. She got yet another prank off, and she took her present with her snickering all the way home – or wherever home was to her. Blossom was already walking off with her sisters, which left the blue cat there to transform into Puar! She came to give a gift as well, just out of good faith of the tradition and all, but she was ambushed by some girl in a yellow jacket. “I don’t even know how she put me to sleep. Ugh,” Puar let out.
“I just want to get home now, here accept this as my gift.”
Her gift was simple. It was a necklace that had historical value etched throughout its make. She found it during an expedition, and thought that this was a perfect time to use it as a gift. It was off of a world that was near the Kekko planet, so maybe it would mean something to them if they researched it.
In return Puar reached right for the 22nd present picking up the square jewelry box covered in red and green bobbles. Yup, that would be the gift she took.

Yua was not one to say not to tradition, but she wondered how this relly helped the peopl of the planert. She guessed that it really wasnt that bad, though, so she just walked in towards the place that she was directed towards as she tilted her head. The calm android had a present for the people that lived here, these elf Kekko. She smiled as she approched the statue thatwas decorated and paused once she reached the tree. While she was not sure whta exactly any of these prsents were, she herself believed that what she had for them wasn't anything to scoff at. Though it may have looked like a simple present, within it was a treat.
One of the elves looked at her and rose an eyebrow before they grabbed the holiday decorated capsule. "Happy holidays," she said with a bright smile on her face. She was sure they they got presents that were usually not all that great in the exchange, but within that capsule were several gifts, even if she only got one in exchange. For her time, the android had created the highest quality sake that she could manage with her own skills to give them just a little more holiday cheer. Along with that, some items that were for them, a machine to assist them in wrapping, no matter the size of the package! And the third present, best for last, was several ways for them to enjoy the holiday season with many foot massagers with hot water jets. For her item, Yua selected a present wrapped in hot pink wrapping paper with a glittery red bow.

Nelgae was not exactly the type that gave presents, he was usually given them in a one sided-exhange, as a Champion, in an effort to placate him, he assumed. However, he was not wholy unfamiliar with the practice. Nor was he exactly the stingy type when he did get gifts- though it was normally limited to gifts for the Klaxxi and his queen, offerings that begged them to awaken soon. Until then, he was the only one among his people. But he did have a champion's vault on Arlia, which not only held gifts he'd been given, but also held a great many things that he could offer in exchange for a present from these small Kekko creatures. Honestly though, most beings didn't reach his nine foot tall stature.
For his troubles, the Arlian brought a git for the Kekko, selected from his vault. It was valuable, though not at all to the Klaxxi themselves. Some well meaning person had given him a present that was a valuable relic, but it held no meaning to the bug. In fact, he knew exactly what it was: a relic created to repel the Klaxxi from the planet. So, he thought that this was a good present for these people. And the collector would have his planet protected. A perfect exchange. He decided to grab the box with the little blue creature that was on it.

Urizen had heard about the strange, yet somehow rather relatable way the people on Maverick, the very planet named after its esteemed ruler and known treasure hunter, celebrated their holidays. Though the Primeval did not care all that much about what kind of holidays or what kind of celebration these people had, he did respect and admire the fellow collector like himself and he had actually met the famed Kekko a few times already, thus there was in truth not much stopping him from paying that place a visit.
Within his lair on Toffit, the ancient being took a stroll to his own private collection of artifacts and antiques, with items ranging from as large as dragons to as small as marbles placed neatly on pedestals and in large containers and display cases...though he did have a whole heap of stuff that hadn't been unpacked or properly categorized yet. Considering those people had a peculiar tradition of exchanging not just any gift, but interesting artifacts and memorabilia of their own, it was practically a sin if Urizen did not answer this in kind.
"Golden bust of one of my old vessels?" The masked man looked at it, shook his head and threw it away. "A tad too arrogant."
"How about a vial with water from that fountain of youth on Earth...for a people that live longer lives than celestials...yeah nevermind that," Letting out a sigh, the man continued to walk through his collection, still looking for what he'd even present as a gift.
"Now this...this is probably perfect," The man let out a chuckle as he reached for a large, shimmering and tear-shaped crystal which hummed with mystical power "A Crystallized eye of a voidbeast, the Eye of Ugin, now this is worth it."
Wrapping the large crystal in a lavender-colored, satin paper and finishing it off with a nice deep purple ribbon with a small silver broche attached in the shape of his own mask, the masked man vanished through a portal to arrive straight at the celebrations of planet Maverick. There he'd give it to those receiving gifts, while looking at what he'd want in return...
I guess I'll take that one, it strikes my fancy," The masked man laughed as he pointed at the black gift that reminded him of some awesome movie he had once seen when lazying about on earth.

Android 24 had been following Master Roshi around ever since he was unwillingly converted into a cyborg type being. After months of being stuck in the same hut and training daily, they had grown close. Android 24 saw the old hermit as a bit of a father figure.
It was Christmas time on Earth. For Android 24 that meant a short break from training. But without having a family to welcome him home for the holidays, Android 24 decided to stick with Master Roshi nonetheless.
The old man had a bit of a pervy obsession with certain models in magazines. He certainly had no shame about it either. He welcomed Android 24 to come with him to Maverick where Master Roshi was going to a convention where other old creepy men exchanged magazines.
While on Maverick, Android 24 met some of the locals and learned of a tradition they had where they gave out gifts in exchange for a donated item. Supposedly the greater the sacrifice, the greater the reward you would receive. But the trouble with that was Android 24 didn’t have much to give. But in terms of what it meant to him, Android 24 had grown rather attached to the Flame Tunic and its benefits. He gently placed the unique cloth at the base of a statue and examined the presents available.
After nervously examining the presents, feeling pressured to make a decision, Android 24 picked up a wrapped present that was covered in question marks.

Joseph was simply meandering around the streets of West City enjoying the the sight of snow and the festivities of the Holiday season. He had come across a shop where they were giving out free gifts and picked one up. He held the box to his ear and shook it, wondering what could have been inside. He was tempted to open it and peek in, but decided to wait until Christmas to see what was inside. While walking about, he heard something interesting about Kekko visiting and partaking an interesting tradition where a gift could be traded for one that was donated at the festival.
This tradition peaked his interest, not to mention he had a gift he could trade in to feed into his curiosity. The boy wouldn't have been able to trade a gift from his friend or family member in good conscience. A random thing he picked up from a local retailer that was just perfect. Joseph made his way to the location of this event. He looked and saw the large amount of gifts that were spread around the area. He knew that the Kekko were found of treasures and relics of iconic events so he was sure he'd pick up something cool.
The boy looked at the gift boxes scrutinizing and decided to pick up The box with an ornament, stars, and the big golden bow.

Ah yes, it was the holiday season. Amelia enjoyed the holidays and the traditions that came with them, though she was not the most familiar with them. Her home planet had its own days of celebration in its culture, though she didn't know much about the holidays celebrated on planets such as Earth and the other worlds of this Galaxy. She was however, eager to learn and loved participating in festivities.
Amelia had done some holiday shopping and got a handful of gifts for the friends she made on this world as well as some for the people of her home world. She also picked up some extra gifts to drop off to people on Christmas Eve as a little project to fed into the stories of a jolly bearded man that gave gifts. She wondered if that man was real. If he was, she hoped he didn't mind her encroaching on his territory. She was doing some studying on holiday traditions and learned about an ongoing Kekko event where gifts from visitors were exchanged for the gifts they donated.
The mage with her inventory of gifts meant for no one in particular decided it would be fun to take part in this event. Amelia arrived to where the event was held. She decided to trade pick up the box with shields on it. She had no clue what was within any of them other than vague guesses she could make, but she found the shields fitting as she was known as an Abjuration Wizard.

Joy, companionship, brotherhood, galaxy wide philanthropy. Vlad loved what this all meant, what was the intended behind it, this pagan holiday when it came to earth, a means for tribes to gather together for warmth and companionship in their hours of need in this difficult season, that the tribe would endure together and survive. A holiday where tribes could come together and aid each other in doing so, where for one event the differences of their tribes simply dissolved, they were people coming together and thriving together. Sure the times changed it and religions adopted, one could argue the pagan origin was tied to some religious significance of winter, as a whole, but even secular worlds, societies, people could appreciate the message of the bonds of struggle through the winter, and brotherhood so strong even wars were postponed to honor it, so that no blood be spilled to taint it.
Plus, an event on Maverick gave an excuse to use a pass he got years ago for a winter wonderland visit to a neighboring world. He took EP3 there for a night reserving a suite with a workshop, so he could contribute, EP3 opted out of the gifts seeing she likely was not powerful enough nor recognized as a hero enough to make the cut anyway, plus he gave her a fine gift of a night of ice skating in a winter wonderland of a world, fun and good company was sufficient for her holiday. This drew a smile to the androids face, and he gave a thumbs up, “I value this time with you as well, I hope the exchange brings something I can use to give better capabilities to ensure that other worlds may continue to breathe free and pursue philanthropic global betterment of their people.” Vlad spent the day with EP3 when she went into her provided holiday sleep pod. He got to work on his gift.
Maverick was a world of great technology, some pilfered from great powers, some great minds on the planet created, all of it highly impressive. And Vlad’s gift a spin on the classic replicators of Avalon assembled and upgraded by hand with the synthetics highest intangible quality, his intellect, he was methodical in his selection process of each component down to the last screw, Vi interpreter given the most robust coefficients as well as power and processing regulations to be a top quality voice controlled system with a library of every documented language in Avalon's bureaucratic records of spoken language <those assorted chums handle record keeping as if it were a religion to them, and they are devoted evangelicals to it. >, smart self-regulating systems ensuring wear and tear or passage of time provide minimal impact, solid state batteries with protections against degradation, a sub station in its lower tower to print 2 kinds of drones, one tending to biological, the other mechanical, the system could care for itself, and the 'printing' lenses anti stick surface was so easy to maintain all it required was a dime store wet-wipe once a month to get any dust that managed to find its home on it.
Vlad also ensured it could print more of itself, so that it could be passed out to the destitute as well, to share in the unity of every entity wealthy or poor provided for.
It occurred to the synth he was an android building a machine that could produce more of itself and other devices, this being a horror element in many world sci fi regarding AI but 1 he did not build an AI, he built a VI smart to do the task but no personhood to be exploited or capacity to have philosophical debates with the users 2 the galaxy handled a mechanical menace far worse than any domestic/civilian care replicator could make.
The android dropped into a wormhole he generated to a spot just outside the gift trade, his gift wrapped in a tasteful sky blue and cyan striped wrapping. Plenty of the galaxies finest were already having at the gifts bringing them home as per the conditions, of the gifts he could register at the time not-taken 2 stood out, a small box emanating warmth that even his ambient temperature software passively combing over it could tell an abnormality. Unclear if it were the contents heating it up or the material of the box, assuming it was the former he passed on it, his quantum tech required running cold to be optimal, so his eyes drifted to one that was 2nd best bet for a synth, the small box could have harbored a chip or tiny mod, but this no flash only instructions packing box seemed intended for units without taste preferences, especially since the SL war personality drives of pure synths tended to be tone a fair deal down practicality focused, Vlad would have preferred wrapping of an organic hand gripping a mechanical one in a unifying shake, but this box was bout the safest bet for optimally synthetic gift.
The android made the trade, passing off the gift onto a table sitting about as big as a luxury stacked coffee maker with drawers for all needed to ready it to consumer satisfaction built right in. and if his gift was deemed sufficient, he would go towards the box that looked like it came off a space Amazon truck.
“May all the holidays you celebrate this season bring you closer to galactic community and a unity of brotherhood tier comradery with your fellow sentient.” the android said before taking the gift he traded for and sitting on the side.

Post by Juch on Dec 23, 2022 15:42:02 GMT -5
The ephemeral breath crystalizing in the air.
The shavings of feathery ice agglomerating on the canopies.
The argent hair of the Kekkos.
Not all would melt away with the passage of time. And neither would the ‘snow’ that would dance freely inside of Juch’s project. He hadn’t left his work bench for nearly a full day now; there were just some finishing touches that he wanted to make. The gleam of orbs made out of the same Rainbow Shells one may find on Mortoseth were placed meticulously in their exact positions. Polished until they were basically glowing, they remained suspended in liquid inside the glass sphere.
Juch leaned back, blowing strands of his gray hair away that dangled directly over his face. One final thing. His gloved hand inserted the Sun Stone into its indentation. Right in the center of the carved wooden base–painted to resemble the jungles and coral reefs that flourished on Planet Evlicta–the battery glowed, transferring its energies through the complex array of wires. Slowly, the Rainbow Shell orbs began to spin, rotating on their respective axes and around the center of their container. The particles of gold flakes that had lingered near the bottom were stirred to life, swirling up in a gentle motion. Juch’s gaze watched the sparkles of reflected rainbow light twinkling in the snow globe for a little while longer, taking in the full display of the product.
It was like looking up into the night sky and seeing the rest of the galaxy–the Rainbow Shell orbs not only reflecting the miniscule amount of energy amongst each other to stir the ‘snow’, but also placed in a way to resemble the positions of the other major planets as seen from the Kekko people’s homeworld.
Maverick’s people were known to adore beauty and majesty. Juch could not carve out large statues of their heroes and cities as well as they did, but he was certain that this would suit their tastes just fine.
He’ll call it…”The Winter Sky”.
Wrapping the intricate snow globe up in a box with a paper pattern reminiscent of the ocean, Juch finished tying the bow on top before exiting out of his spaceship to deliver the gift. Making his way through the crowds of the city capital, he found himself at the feet of the titanic statue. It seemed like whilst in his gift making fervor, Juch arrived a little later than what he would have liked. Many had already left their presents and, accordingly, took their own in the exchange.
As he set down his own, Juch peered over his glasses to look over the offerings that were left. He was certain that the more attractive presents had already been taken, but the shiny trinkets and baubles that still remained were nonetheless wrapped in a tantalizing fashion that sent imagination into a frenzy.
Pick me…! Pick me…! Pick me…!
They all seemed to cry out, coyly tempting out his greed and desires. What could this one be? Was this a powerful item? What about this one? What if he selected wrong? What if…what if…
The bright candle light that lit up the present pile underneath the baldachin seemed to melt into each other as Juch knelt down, his fingers grasping at one package in particular. Unlike the other fabulous designs, this one was rather ordinary. A dull blue, addressed to the Academy–a misplaced present.
He slowly stood up.
It was probably just some Lost texts, he surmised as he weighed the box in his palms; maybe some meditation tips. Most likely, it wouldn’t be too special compared to the rest. But…it felt right, for some reason. He was more bothered with this mistaken delivery than him sinking into the goopy, messy swamp of indecision over picking and guessing which remaining presents had the best artifact--or even in the dark recesses of regret of not arriving first.
Perhaps he ‘lost out’ in this exchange by not taking any of the Kekko offerings; that was okay.
Tipping his hat, Juch gave the statue a small bow before spinning on his heel and slinking back into the milling crowds. His arms clutched the blue box tightly to his chest, like when he was just a school boy climbing those steps to the Academy for the first time.
Tis the season to be giving.
Happy Winter Solstice.

Bersimmon was having a bad day. He felt the coldness of Maverick this season to be quite unsavory. He had also lost his jacket, and his armor was smelly and sweaty as fuck. He had to take it off and wear his old robe wrapped around his body. But why was he here?
It turned out Autira had friends who were Kekkos, and she had been too busy with her work to come; She had sent him in his place to pick up and give some presents for her. Bersimmon had black eyes like most Saiyans, Lithe muscles, a long tail wrapped around his waist, and blue hair. However, the Kekko he had just met was quite quiet. She had bright blue eyes, a sweet smile, black hair(which was unusual for a Kekko), and a heavy carhart. Her facial features also seemed to be younger than one might expect. She was also fumbling with the gift, as it was somewhat long and heavy. It appeared to be a sword under the wrapping, which made Bersimmon smile.
Something useful for Christmas. But can Autira really use it?
He grabbed it from the small Kekko and handed Autira's gift over to the female Kekko, which looked to be a gaming console.
I wouldn't have minded one of those, either. I wonder if Autira likes them too.
The girl said "Thank you," before bowing. She seemed to be quite polite. "So how do you know Autira-san?"
The girl's eyes lit up. "She is like a sister to me. We grew up together when she was living here."
"Oh, I didn't know Autira was raised here. Thanks for the gift, and happy holidays!"
Bersimmon had done his Christmas favor for Autira and then left. "Good bye, miss, uh... I didn't get your name. I'm Bersimmon by the way."
"I'm Sutaki, but everyone calls me Su."

Towa was late, but fashionably late to the little holiday celebration party that was being thrown. It was not a huge deal, but being late had allowed others to grab gifts from the collection before she had even arrived. She hoped to turn heads it seemed as she showed up wearing a nice form fitting outfit as if she was going out for the evening with a fun night with "friends". Her presence and appearance was more than enough of a gift for many, but she still tossed a book she had from Kelioux into the offering plate. While it might have looked that way, all she hoped this get together would at least bring her some sort of entertainment value. If it failed to do that at least she would leave with something that hopefully would be useful. Mira had a gift already in his hands. He certainly had a flare for picking the most fancy things, but considering that he was given her good tastes in his creation, that certainly made sense to her. She looked around at the gifts others had grabbed. Some looked more interesting than others just from the packaging, but then the demon goddess saw a jewelry looking box under the tree. It looked like a ring box from the shape of it. It was important that Santa would bring someone a ring; no not on a phone... Oh that Santa Baby... She walked up picking up the ring box, it had some heat to it as well. That certainly intrigued her even more. Turning she walked towards Mira, hoping that he would end up being happy with his gift and that this entire thing would not end up being lame. WC: 287 Towa picks 2. A small ring box with a silver bow that’s warm to the touch. (Dammit Vlad I wanted to pick the box you did )

Midnight came in all tarty for the party, it took him a while to find the right gift, everyone was established like he was now, serving the saiyan empire. It was a serious move, all elites were ordered to get stronger then be assessed by super elites. This was something else, every day he was training regardless of rain, sunshine, hail and snow, the time of X-mas was a time for forgiveness and acceptance. He knew that some people would never accept him but the saiyans accepted him as one of there own after doing assessments, missions and training. The last order was to get strong enough to deal with praetor level threats, Midnight tried with moves, stance, kata, form, styles... his hits didn't do anything to this creature. This changeling was a serious one but he had help taking it down finally. Now entering the planet's atmosphere with his saiyan space pod he landed in the space port and sprinted to the meeting area on the planet wasn't far, at his pace he got close to the spot until he got there with his present in a cylinder box and put it down where the other gifts were and picked up a gift which he though described him best.
