Kaine was resting within New Prosperity just thinking about past events of what happened on Earth and dealing with Anton Castillo. One painful road for a Saiyan such as him just trying to survive here and get stronger not having much but maybe. He should consider it after all working to become the strongest warrior, he could be wondering about his friends though. Christmas should be a time to be with family and his parents were gone because of the orders of King Vegeta which he couldn't forgive. He wanted to do more but his true goal was finding a new home for himself because Earth 2 was good and still it wasn't enough. Thinking about the past of how he and his friends fought so hard to protect the planet from dangerous threats, it wasn't enough. While his friends were at King Kai learning techniques such Kaioken and the Spirit Bomb. Learning the False God State wondering if there was a chance of discovering something else looking for the next big thing. He'll need to step up his game and help people however he can almost Goku would. Checking the maintenance of his ship and noticed a present something from Grand Kai saying "Merry Holidays". He didn't know anything about Grand Kai at all...
A gift from the Kais was unforeseen but Kaine accepted, thanking the Kais for this.

“Why does anyone care about these “holidays”?” Kale wondered to herself out loud as she looked around, walking along the streets of Maverick with her hands shoved deep into the pockets of the puffy-yet-stylish coat she had most certainly overpaid for upon arriving to the planet. A white, powdery substance had been falling from the sky around her and the air was oddly more chilled for the Saiyan woman than she was comfortable with. Walking along the streets she took notice of how loudly “decorated” the buildings and fixtures had been made up, finding it all obscenely annoying for some reason.
In the town’s center stood a large tree. She wasn’t sure if it was something local or, in the tradition of Maverick, was really a species of some kind of tree from another planet but it didn’t matter to her in the end. She wasn’t any kind of botanist and plants didn’t demand any space in her brain for specific details like that. What did matter for the Saiyan was the absolute mountain of wrapped mystery objects sitting under the ornately decorated foliage. Approaching the packages she picked one up, bringing it to her ear to give it a curious shake. She didn’t understand why she felt the urge to do so either, it just seemed like the thing she should be able to do without many questions from others.
A sign caught the corner of her eye, drawing her attention from the package to the rules about the “gifts” below the tree. Apparently she was expected to “exchange” the gift she chose from under it with one of her own for someone else to possibly pick. Her mouth “ticked” as the corner snapped in an annoyed fashion. She wasn’t in need of the mystery item that bad and even if she did it wasn’t like she had any gifts of her own that she could leave behind in its place. Something felt somewhat off with the coat she had just purchased. She wasn’t sure where it had come from but reaching into her pocket allowed her to find a small package of her own, no bigger than what one would get when they bought jewelry. She had no idea where it came from or what was in it but she didn’t really care either. Shrugging it off she simply decided to put the smaller box down in place of the gift she had picked up with a soft “plop” before walking away.

It appeared as though many had already showed up for the gift hand out. The Namekian was not really late, he had been here the entire time. Well on the planet, helping out with local issues where it could for his payment for being here. He had little desire to actually rush ahead and grab a gift. This entire thing was about letting others have a chance to claim what they never had a chance to acquire before. Maybe things from the past that Maverick had stashed away or just interesting items that would help them throughout their journeys. It was clear this was meant to be a place of peace as each of the elves and other costumed people around seemed to have power levels capable of being guards as well. Clearly Maverick wasn't looking to have the gifts stolen. He also did not want this to turn into some crazy battle.
Shell looked around the room as people had gathered up their gifts. He figured some would still be coming later, but for now it seemed like a good number of people had actually shown up for this. That was certainly a good thing. The more people that got help the better, he just hoped they wouldn't exploit whatever items they got and use them for evil. From the sensations he was getting from around the place though, that was not going to happen. Plenty of heroes and villains lined the room. It was certainly an impressive gathering of powerful individuals.
The Namekian looked around at the presents that were left and one in particular caught his attention. Clearly someone had run out of paper or was confused as the gift said "Happy Birthday" on it. He giggled a bit, grabbing that gift since it had entertained him and moving over to a table to watch the crowds from that point on. He had little more to do here than just sit back and enjoy the festivities.

Zero was running a bit behind as he made his entrance to what seemed like a pretty populated event. At his side he carried a bright gold box that Dr. Oreg had asked him to drop off at the event. Several crowds of mighty warriors, some local, and some from distant planets were all gathered sharing stories, and beverages around a nearby fire. Zero was never into what people were calling "The Christmas Spirit" then again this was the first time he had really thought about it at all. Matter a fact he had no recollection of there ever being a day celebrated known as Christmas.
However, this did not prevent Zero from participating in the festivities. He was sent here on behalf of the Saiyan Empires Science & Research Team, and the last thing that he wanted to do is not blend in. He made his way through the crowds towards what seemed to be the remaining gifts. It wasn't too late. He glanced over the bags and boxes and one of them stood out like a sore thumb to him. It was red with an all too familiar emblem of the Saiyan Empire on it. Zero reached down and grabbed the package with a smile on his face. "This should do!" He then proceeded to drop the doctors package off at a nearby table and made his way over to get a refreshing beverage and do his best at conversing with the group. Perhaps this was a great way to learn and for the first time since joining the military, have a relaxing evening.

Zero selects #1. Looking right out of a Saiyan dollar store there is a red shirt box patterned with the Saiyan empire’s emblem. To make it a little more festive, the two corners are wrapped in a black trimmed red ribbon.

A Nihilist Christmas Special
Three very different inviduals from three very different walks of life descended on the planet Maverick, merriment on their minds. The changeling, Eski, was here to enjoy the holiday season and make some contacts among the Kekko to further the interests of his various enterprises on Cactaylisma. Cauli, a Saiyan cum Demon who was currently a permanent resident on Kelioux, was here to explore hedonism with a few extra races that weren't currently present at the academy. She had spent a lot of time in hell before she got here and was interested in making up for lost time. Then there was the little furry ball of chaos designated Android R but known as Rocket by his friends. He had also gone by Raph and Rafe in the past, depending on the scheme.
Eski was the first to approach, his diminutive restrained form failing to convey the power at his disposal. He floated towards the Kekko assembled at the base of a giant statue. He wasn't immediately familiar with the representee, though the decorations and festive lights also did a good job of concealing the statue's identity. Making a beeline for one of the larger Kekko who seemed to carry himself with an air of importance, Eski produced a simple sack from beneath his robes with a flourish. To the uninitiated, this might appear to be some sort of dodgy attempt at ripping the Kekko off. If this Kekko thought as such, he didn't allow it to show on his face.
"What have you brought?" squeaked the voice, not at all matching the burly body that it emerged from. "This is a bag of endless riches," responded Eski, "simply speak the code word, 'Raya', and think of something valuable. As long as it is small enough to fit in the bag, it will be there when you open it."
Wide-eyed with the possibilities, the Kekko took the bag with great interest, even bowing to Eski once he had done so. He indicated that Eski should choose a present from beneath a tree. Eski spied what he wanted almost immediately. Amidst the garish colours and flashy parcels was a nondescript brown package. The planet trade organisation logo stamped on the side was also of interest to him.
Next to approach was the fiery-haired demon perpetually dressed in workout gear. The tights cupped her glutes in such a way that VERY little was left to the imagination - just the way she liked it. Previously the attention that her general appearance garnered made her uncomfortable but with her recent carnal awakening she found herself enjoying the lustful glances from boys and girls alike. Her new patron, Morgan, was pleased with her progress. Cauli approached a quiet-looking female kekko with an air of innocence about her. Cauli did so enjoy introducing the innocent to her manner of conducting her affairs. She bowed to the girl, ensuring that an ample amount fo cleavage was presented to the girl. She indicated that the girl should hold out her hand to receive her gift. When the item was first placed, it resembled a very specific sort of plug. Less than a moment later, it shimmered to reveal its true form - a gold ring.
"This ring will adjust itself to fit any wearer and will enhance any sort of pleasure that its wearer is experiencing."
The Kekko thanked Cauli and bade her choose a present for herself. For her part, Cauli was drawn to a particular parcel whose wrapping paper depicted a jolly old elf trying to work a new gadget without much luck, much to the amusement of animals standing nearby.
Last came the little furry bundle of chaos known as Rocket. He flounced up to the nearest person and tossed a small item to them.
"I stole that from Emi," he said with a grin, "its a DNA bomb. Not only will it reconstitute itself after a couple of days but its explosion will not harm anyone whose DNA is imprinted on it."
The Kekko was wide-eyed in response to the explanation but nevertheless bade Rocket pick a present for himself. He already knew what present he wanted - the one shaped like a gun.

"Aahh! Oh crap! I got to hurry!" Goten yelled in a panic as he quickly raced around his room. It was down to the wire and the teenager had almost forgot about the Holiday Party he was planning on attending. The only stipulation was, in order to get a gift, one must be given in return. However, at this point in time, the young half saiyan had no gift in mind to give to the Kekko on planet Maverick. Zipping from one corner of his room to the other, Goten held a concerned look on his face while looking in, under, and around everything in his room that would be considered a special gift. Goten knew he needed a gift for the party but he also wanted to make sure it was creative and something worth while. He had to make a good impression for the Kekko, only issue was, he didn't know what they like. Closing his closet doors, Goten let out a sigh as all hope seemed to lost. Until... Turning around, the teenager laid his eyes on the one spot in his room he saved for last. The one place he had yet to look through for a suitable Christmas gift. "Nightstand don't fail me now." He said aloud as he slowly walked towards it in a defeated manner. Reaching the nightstand, he then got on one knee as he then opened up the top drawer to the nightstand. Shuffling through some random items inside, it was then he found the perfect gift to give the Kekko. Slowly, a smile formed with his lips as he brought his gift up to his face for further inspection. Looking around the outside plastic case, as well as checking the inside contents, he knew instantly this was in fact the perfect gift to give. Not only a gift to the Kekko, but to anyone really. "Oh yeah, this will do! Mom always said; 'A gift means more if you made it with your heart." In Goten's hands was in fact a mix tape he had made years ago. He even made the album cover on his computer and printed it off to place inside the CD case. "Goten's Soundz... I'll sure miss this masterpiece, but its a risk I'm willing to take." Goten declared, as he then quickly stood up and made his way to the party on Maverick. Once at the party, the teenager saw it was already full of guests whom arrived before him. Having no trouble locating the area to place his gift, he was lucky enough to run into one of the Kekko who seemed to be checking up on the gift area. "Hey! Whats up? I'm glad I ran into you." He said to the small stature Kekko. Extending his hand out, Goten gave his mix tape to the Kekko with a genuine smile as he let out a small brief chuckle. "Here ya go! I hope you guys like it. I put a lot of work into it, and yes, that is in fact me on the cover. Haha!" Goten stated as he rubbed the back of his head. Instantly, he then saw the area where all the other presents were from the Kekko that the guests could choose from. Granted, there wasn't too much left, but looked like still had some decent choices he hoped. Before the Kekko could reply, Goten raced off towards the gifts to choose from as he gave the Kekko a wave goodbye. "Thanks for the invite! See ya!" He said before making his way to choose a gift. As the half saiyan left, the Kekko was at a lost for words as to what had just transpired. More so by the fact of what he was looking at. In the Kekko's hands was a normal CD Case that contained a mix tape Goten made, complete with his own CD cover. There was just a few things... 1) Goten didn't know CD's arn't really a thing anymore... 2) Goten's taste in music was most likely not for the Christmas Spirit... 3) The picture on the cover of the CD case was in fact NOT Goten, but was a picture of his dad when he was a baby. Just, no one had the heart to tell him... and 4) The Kekko knew the half saiyan meant well, and after all, he did make the gift himself from his heart... Looking down at the CD case, the Kekko then looked up as he saw another Kekko walking by. "Hey! Check this out, wanna listen to it with me? Its called... Goten's Soundz." He asked the other Kekko as he handed him the CD. "It's from that kid over there by the presents, hes says that's him on the cover too!" "Huh, interesting cover art idea... Like that would actually sell haha! Alright, why not, we got some time to kill anyways, lets go." The other Kekko said as they both walked off to find a CD player. Meanwhile, at the gift pile. Goten looked around at the last remaining presents as he finally made his decision. "I guess this one is as good as any." He said with a shrug as he picked up his gift. WC: 875 _____________________________________________ *Goten picked gift #5 (This present is clearly shaped like a statue of a bust, wrapped completely around its body and head with gold and silver wrapping paper.)

It was Christmas time for some people of the Galaxy and it was a time that the Avatar of War didn’t really understand. Getting something for doing absolutely nothing? It went against everything he believed in. He did, however, hear of the Kekko people.
While visiting the planet for the holidays he saw how people were getting into the festivities. It made him want to join in, but he wanted to wow the warriors known for collecting rare weapons. In an instant, the pink-haired warrior teleported to the depths of an inactive volcano on the ruins of Cauldron. There he banged and banged against pieces of raw iron until a burning axe was forged.
Before it had a chance to cool down, he pulled out a flask and added it to its core. Once the steel was finished simmering down, it would be a gift fitting for a tribe of warriors.
Walid returned back to the planet with his axe and boarded the Wandering Hunter until it was ready. After it was, he poorly wrapped it and brought it to the statue like others before him.
To anyone, his gift would have appeared to be an ordinary tool for combat, but it wasn’t. After the user twirled it around its secret power would be known. It had the ability to generate fire due to his “special” drink. Why slice up your foes when you can also toast them?
“Hey wait,” one of the Kekko said after the Zaunite dropped his gift off and started to walk away, “Don’t forget yours.”
“Oh I’m-,” he said, but then realized he might come off the wrong way if he refused, “I’m only joking of course.”
He then took one that came in a gift bag. Who is Jesus, he wondered and why is he the reason for the season? Regardless he accepted the gift.
25. A gift bag with the words “Jesus is the reason for the season.” written in pleasant typography with Christmas bells and bobbles.

The elf Kekko people of Maverick? Trunks shrugged his shoulders, unsure of it all. He had been searching for Goten all day long and thought he had finally caught up with his best friend. Only now, he found himself standing in some sort of gathering place with a giant statue up ahead, plastered in colorful lights. His eyes glazed over as he stared at the vibrant display and swallowed hard. His gaze trickled downward, hoping to see Goten's head poking out from somewhere in the crowd. Instead, Trunks only saw the many gifts that surrounded the base of the statue, some piled up on top of others and all decorated in different colors, styles and wrapping arrangements. It was something to behold and Trunks made careful note, that it looked like many of the presents had already been taken! In fact, thinking back, he thought he had remembered seeing strangers walking off with decorated boxes just like these! Suddenly, Trunks could think of nothing else but getting his hands on one that looked like some sort of giant kite-shape! Maybe he and Goten could go fly it, whenever he finally tracked the son of Goku down...
Not wanting to waste anymore time and fearful that his hesitation might leave room for others to come and take the kite before he could, the offspring of Vegeta stepped forth with great determination, his eyes pinned on the present that would soon be his! As he reached a hand out to grab it, he suddenly felt a sharp slap on his wrist! Startled, he turned his attention toward the assaulter and his eyes widened when he saw no one was there!
"Huh?" he blurted, before feeling a tug on his pant leg from below.
His eyes slowly drifted downward like the falling snow and he spotted a short little elf-like person with an unpleasant look on his face.
"You must present a gift, in order to receive a gift... that is the way of our people, the Kekko of Maverick!"
"Present... a gift?" Trunks repeated, blinking his eyes several times in slight disbelief and confusion.
He began to panic suddenly, not believing he had anything at all useful on him to be considered a worthy gift for this little elf dude. He patted at his clothing and pockets and suddenly his eyes lit up when he felt the slight bulge in his front right pocket. Perfect, he thought, reaching in and plucking the object from its confines. He quickly presented it to the elf-man with a slight bow, opening his palm and revealing the sacred gift that he would offer. It reminded Trunks of some movie he had seen a long time ago where the people had cone-shaped heads and he tried to hold back his laughter.
"Ooooo... Ahhhh..." the elf-like person's eyes lit up as he gazed upon the flat, rectangular-shaped object in Trunks' palm, wrapped in a single layer of shiny silver paper, with the words BIG RED imprinted.
"It's called, Chewing Gum," Trunks assured as he felt the elf pluck the item from his hand.
The Kekko began nodding his head profusely, a look of pure amazement still on his face and his eyes sparkling with anticipation.
"Very good, very good! You may now receive a gift of your choosing!" he offered, excitedly.
Trunks nodded in response and immediately grabbed the kite-shaped gift, before giving a way and rushing off to try and catch up with Goten!
Present Chosen: 13. A large kite, decorated in green and red Nightmare Before Christmas wrapping paper depicting the face of Jack as well as that of Oogie Boogie.

Jared stared at the large tree that seemed to be at the center of the entire the area entirely. For an alien civilization by his standards, it seemed like they had taken up the customs he remembered from Earth quite to the letter. It actually looked like something he would find at the center of Dokensapato City. He was starting to feel flooded with the memories of home when Freed interrupted him to speak.
Jared, this is a Christmas tree?
"Right, I guess we weren't home long enough for you to see Christmas there. Yeah this is about right. I wonder who helped to decorate it. This is almost magical!"
"For once I agree with you," came a female's voice.
Standing there with him was Ayumi. She had caught up with him again at some point and decided to stick around for a while this time when this event peaked their interest. As it was their first holiday season together, Jared had decided to pay forward the spirit that was given to him at home with his parents. It certainly felt like the holidays with so many people about. It seemed a lot of them were exchanging gifts with each other. It was enough to make a smile contagious. The three of them seemed to be doing it.
Jared, it seems people are over by the tree for some reason. We should see for ourselves too.
Jared nodded and started to walk over to the large tree. As they got closer, they could hear what seemed to be chatter about taking something from the tree and putting something back under. Of course! A public gift exchange. This was done back home too. Gifts were placed under the tree and you could grab one freely as long as you put something there in exchange. It made for a continuous gift exchange to ensure everyone who came through would receive one. So far, not seeing anyone they recognized, their approach to the tree was fairly quick. That's when they could see how truly large it was. Jared had completely tilted his head back to see the top.
"This thing must be at least 6 stories! Wow!" Jared said.
Stories? What kind of stories would a tree tell?
Jared grumbled for a moment. "Not that kind of story, moron! Back home it's a measurement of height! I'm saying it's as tall as a city apartment building!"
"I don't know how you put up with him, Freed," Ayumi remarked on the side.
Jared seemed annoyed, glaring at Ayumi. "Hey! I'm the one who has to put up with him," he barked back.
"Save the aggression. We're at an event! Don't ruin it," she said back.
She walked closer to the tree and looked on the ground under it. Seemed quite a few gifts still remained. So she pulled from her pocket a wrapped up object the size and shape of a 1 liter bottle. There was a very decorative pattern of colors on it that she placed down there.
"Is that holiday wine, Ayumi?" Jared asked.
"What it is will be a secret to you kiddo," she replied as she then reached for a box,
"I'm sure the contents of your gift are lovely, young lady," came a voice from her other side.
The three of them looked over to find one of the natives standing there. It seemed they had failed to notice him standing there in the midst of their squabble.
"Thank you! Is this the first time you're all doing something like this?" She asked.
The man smiled and then said, "Well it's certainly the first time I'm doing it,"
"I see," Ayumi stated as she then pulled a wrapped box from beneath the tree.
Jared, do you actually have anything for this event?
Jared shrugged and pulled one side of his jacket away from him and reached into the inner pocket. He actually had something on him. Instead of putting it under the tree, he decided to hand it to the stranger who was standing there.
"This is for me?" He asked.
"Well you being the first to actually talk to us, sure why not?" Jared said.
The man looked at the silver and blue swirl patterned wrapping paper with curiosity. Jared gave the nod for him to open it. The wrapped object seemed mostly flat. As the man ripped off the wrapping paper he could then see something of a flat device there. He pulled it out to reveal what appeared to be a tablet device.
"I've been working on a lot of different devices back home and thought someone would appreciate this tablet. Back home we use them to download all kinds of information off a data network. This one should connect to a galactic network and give all kinds of useful features,"
"Wow, that sounds really good! I'm sure I'll enjoy it. Feel free to take something now from under the tree! I thank you very much for the gift,"
Jared nodded and looked under at the handful of things wrapped up. He looked to Freed with an indecisive expression before their eyes seemed to fall on the same object. They drew closer to it and noticed its scouter-like shape. As Jared was working on different projects at the present time, including his D-Wheel, this caught his interest. He took it into his hand and looked to the man who merely smiled and nodded.
"Merry Christmas to ya," Jared said.
The three of them back to the crowd, Jared not being able to stop himself from seeing the flashbacks of Dokensapato in the Christmas season. In doing so he found himself for the moment thinking about his parents.
Mom...Dad...love you!

Keres hadn’t been to Maverick in awhile, but it was always worth visiting at this time of year. Even from space you could see the sparkle of lights beaming up from each of the complex cities woven into its vast jungles. As you got closer the greens, golds, and reds were all the more brilliant, and this was just the aerial view. Once you entered into a city itself, you were almost blinded by the holiday cheer. The Kekko people knew how to celebrate and the entire city was decorated with each neighbor in fierce competition for the most extravagant display.
Keres took her time strolling through the capital, inspecting each dwelling and city building as if trying to decide for herself which was the best, before arriving at the center, her own gift prepared. She had been walking around with a brown paper gift bag. Painted on it was a gnome with a big babble of a nose with ‘JOY’ written beside him. At the end of the line she presented the package, and one of the silver haired Kekko’s who were running the event greedily looked inside.
A soft glow came from the opened bag, as inside were vials of blessed water, good for various things and bestowed on by the spirits themselves. The Kekko man wasn’t completely sure about this gift, such things could easily be faked, but he would have to figure it out later. As it was, Keres was allowed to pick a present. Enjoying all the various wrappings, she walked around the statue and picked one to suit her fancy.

Frieza had come to Maverick to enjoy the celebrations. Frieza also had a winter solace, but it was not as grand as Mavericks. The Kekko people reveled in an excuse to party, and he was happy to partake in good food and liquor. He would partake in a few large feasts while he was here, and broker a few more deals with various Kekko traders. It was a win-win to be sure, and he did this almost every year so he was familiar with their traditions, including the gift exchange.
He handed the Kekko a gift card holder, decorated in beautiful gold patterns. The Kekko glared at him at first, considering a gift card was the least creative gift ever, but when he opened it to check the contents his eyebrows rose. The document was the size of a gift card, and was a voucher of sorts, but it wasn’t one hundred dollars to Best Buy. It was the ownership of a planet. What else would one expect from the Emperor of the Universe? Frieza was not one to ignore tradition, and a proper gift deserved a proper gift.
He inspected the gifts that were left, a smile growing at the ridiculous wrappings, and then he plucked one out of the dwindling pile and headed back to his dwellings on Maverick to enjoy the rest of the holiday.

Among the silver haired Kekko people was a dark haired man in a business suit. He wasn’t especially tall or intimidating like a body guard might be, and instead looked more like the suit’s intention: a businessman. He watched over the gift exchange making notes on a tablet as they went. He had a record of every gift donated before they were wrapped and so he knew every coveted prize. It was his duty to monitor and note which packages were taken and which were donated. It was still a direct trade, so the owner of the chosen box received what was exchanged for it, and Chai Long had to make sure the gifts were up to snuff.
Unfortunately, some seemed to be basic trinkets from Earth without a whole lot of thought put into them, but while the Kekko people were treasure happy, like most planets, other worldly possessions could still fetch a high price on Maverick. What was a simple gift picked out at a random department store, maybe only worth twenty zeni could be offloaded on Maverick for a good five thousand. So they were allowed, but being from Earth himself, Chai felt a bit disappointed in some of the warriors who entered with obviously more desire to take than give.
As the holiday celebration ended, Chai was done documenting what was exchanged and what was left when his most recent employer offered him one of the remaining gifts as a bonus of sorts. He wasn’t sure his efforts were worth a well picked gift, but he accepted it nonetheless. Like the Kekko people, a Long would never say no to treasure.
