Shell VS Juch
Juch — 12/21/2022 10:50 AM
"Oh, you don't say?" Juch smiled, adjusting his tie. If Shell had spent time with the Grandmaster, even if it was years ago, then that was another point of connection that he could look into. While Adel had little patience with idle gossip, he'd at least be pointed in the right direction, "I'm glad to hear you enjoyed your stay."
However, upon Shell's second comment, the android tilted his head a bit in curiosity, "You haven't been on Namek? That's certainly odd. I hear most Namekians would prefer their own homeland. Is that not true?"
Shell Mira Towa — 12/22/2022 8:51 AM
Shell would have loved to have spent time on Namek, but he was cursed and if he was there, then bad things would happen and the Omni King would be notified. It had nothing to do with Shell's intentions, but just how things for him were.
"If I'm on my homework, then bad things happen. It is the curse related to my gifts." The seer explained.
Shell did not wish to go much further into it than that, but if the scholar asked him more he would not be rude and would actually answer.
Juch — 12/22/2022 11:05 AM
Talking about odd, that was certainly a strange answer to give. Juch raised his brow in a questioning manner. The Namekian was cursed? He had heard about such things before, but haven't observed it for himself before.
Certainly, the Scholar was curious. However, it was also evident how uncomfortable Shell was at the topic, especially since he just stopped at expanding his explanation beyond a simple description. Juch didn't want to push it; for a introductory conversation, it didn't seem like the right direction to go.
"I'm sorry to hear that," the android offered, "If you're not on your home world these days, then where are you normally?"
Shell Mira Towa — 12/22/2022 4:45 PM
Shell knew the topic of Namek was a sensitive one for him. He had feeling that did not mix well. He wanted to be with his people and help them, but he also knew his presence was something that would cause issues for everyone there. He had to stay away, but the fact that they also hid that part of his past hurt him deeply. If they knew his entire life it was an issue, then why did they allow him to cause all that harm?
He did not wish to ignore the question though from the scholar, "I spend most of my time on one of two worlds. 1 is a rather unique situation that I'm not allowed to speak much about and the other is Avalon."
The fact that he had direct connections with Lord Beerus and Whis was something that the Namekian also tried to hide. Being that he had a home on Beerus' planet was certainly not something most people would even come close to understanding.
Juch — 12/23/2022 9:46 AM
"That is alright," Juch put a hand up with a small smile, "You don't have to talk about anything that you don't want to."
While the android certainly wanted to probe the Namekian further, he knew in his line of work that you wouldn't be able to get the good stuff right away. It's always a delicate balance. But now he had a few points to keep in mind about Shell, Juch decided to move on to what he thought to be an easier subject.
"I've been to Avalon about...oh, I forget how long ago. Lovely place. The Dojo of Ganr and the technology really stood out then. I hear it's gotten even more impressive recently."
Shell Mira Towa — Yesterday at 11:14 AM
"It has advanced a great deal over the past few years too." He said speaking about Avalon.
The campaign to Make Avalon Great Again had gained a bunch of momentum and the planet was thriving now. Overall it was much better and with its own guardian now, it was that much more impressive.
"The Dojo is one of my favorite places to work out. The warriors there are always trying to improve. I know it helps me improve too. That makes it even that much better for me."
Juch — Yesterday at 12:02 PM
"Oh, you don't say?" Juch chuckled after Shell described not only the improvements of Avalon over the years, but also an entire campaign on top of it. It had a catchy title to it as well. Someone could make hats with that acronym; the businessman within the Scholar was certain that it would be very popular.
"I'm glad that Avalon is thriving," the android nodded, before looking up at the three suns bearing down on top of them, "I even hear there's a prominent figure that's been leading all of these developments. You wouldn't happen to know anything about that, would you?"
"Why don't we find some shelter?" he suggested, gesturing to a nearby village before pointing up at the harsh sunlight from above, "I'm sure it'd be more comfortable than standing out in the open."
Shell Mira Towa — Today at 9:37 AM
Shell smiled at the question that was asked, "Well the planet and the senate started a campaign for Making Avalon Great Again. It seemed to generate a great deal of support and raised lots of zeni for planetary upgrades. That is certainly the most important thing to cause the change."
Maybe it was secretive to hide it was he that was the face of that campaign and his influence on the planet was cause much of the improvements, but ultimately he looked at it as being humble. Shell understood it took everyone to make a planet and not just him.
"You get used to the 3 sun's when you live here." Shell chimed in, "I remember it was never something we thought of much, but I can tell the difference now for sure. If you wish to find shelter, caves are normally the best option."
