Trunks' ego swelled as his attacks slammed home just as predicted, leaving Tarble a smoking, battered mess. He could barely contain his smug grin. But it faded quickly as the stubborn Prince kept wailing on Goten without mercy.
"Oh come on, give me a break!" Trunks exclaimed, watching exasperated as Tarble kept pounding on his friend. Annoyingly, a nagging thought wedged into his mind, did Tarble not see him as a threat? Is that why he was so fixated on Goten instead? Did he think the younger Saiyan was the real danger here?
Trunks shook the thought away. No way was Goten that much stronger than him! But his inner turmoil got interrupted when he saw Goten spit up an assortment of weird, floating white blobs. They took shape, looking just like his friend, even down to the Super Saiyan hairstyle. "What the...when did he learn that?!" Trunks murmured, gaping in disbelief.
The ghostly doppelgangers swarmed Tarble, opening up the perfect chance for Trunks to strike. "Yo Tarble!" he shouted, trying to grab the Prince's attention as the ghosts continued to close in. "Some 'Prince' you are, you're nothing compared to me or my dad!" He taunted, trying to make Tarble focus his rage on him instead of his friend. "Still don't believe me? Then eat this!"
Trunks raised both hands, taking a leaf from his dad’s playbook as he pushed his hands forwards, raining an unrelenting and blistering volley of ki blasts down on the so-called ‘Prince’.

The Lost Prince  440/3,560 Tarble's assault landed successfully on the young Saiyan, Goten, sending him skidding across the ground. The lost prince felt a surge of exhilaration coursing through him as the battle intensified. His blood began to heat up, a fiery anticipation building within him, priming him for the impending clash. “This battle is starting to change my perspective on who I am within this small universe. I want more power and to fight more warriors”
As Tarble stood his ground, he observed Goten rising from the impact of his attack. A gust of wind began to swirl around the young Saiyan, indicating his ascent to peak power. "Curious," Tarble murmured softly, intrigued by Goten's sudden surge of energy. With a keen interest, he awaited the unfolding events, eager to witness what Goten had in store. As Goten reached the height of his power, Tarble's scrutiny revealed something unexpected. Small white creatures emerged from Goten's mouth, a sight that puzzled and intrigued the lost prince. “What is he doing and what are those things coming out of his mouth. Is that four of them…”
As Goten unleashed his ghostly attack, Tarble watched with growing apprehension as the four spectral entities closed in on him. In a split second, he assessed his options, realizing that evasion was futile. Though he heard Trunks call out to him and utter words of warning, his focus remained fixed on Goten. Understanding the imminent threat posed by Goten's superior strength, Tarble acknowledged the urgency of neutralizing him swiftly. “These ghosts are going to do some real damage I need to get out of here quickly. Think Tarble before this is over. Wait… instant transmission”
With lightning reflexes, the lost prince instinctively raised his right hand, intending to execute instant transmission to evade the impending explosion. However, amidst the chaos, Tarble found himself bombarded by further attacks from Trunks, each strike stripping away more pieces of his armor.
“This is getting annoying fast. It is too difficult to keep focus with the many attacks coming at me”
As Tarble attempted to shift, he sensed the lingering effects of the stasis grenade, its disorienting influence clouding his vision. Waves of weakness and exhaustion washed over him, a testament to the toll exacted by the relentless barrage of attacks he had endured throughout the grueling battle. “I need to come up with something and fast before these two Saiyan’s overtake this battle”
Determined to execute his strategy, Tarble swiftly speed teleported towards Goten, unleashing a flurry of lightning-fast punches. With precision, he aimed a powerful right elbow towards Goten's temple, seeking to disorient the young Saiyan before springing into action again.

Goten's face dropped as he watched his super cool new technique collide in a massive explosion that shook the battleground. That sneaky Tarble had zipped away at the last second with his fancy teleport trick. Goten squinted his eyes, searching every corner for any sign of that spiky-haired troublemaker. Where was he gonna pop out next?
"Trunks!" the young Saiyan bellowed to his best friend, hoping that Trunks would have a better view of the situation from his vantage point.
"I got your back, Goten!" Trunks zoomed in front of him, shielding Goten just as a flurry of quick strikes came raining down from who-knows-where.
"Thanks, Trunksl!" Goten said as he leaped back, giving himself some space. He thrust his arm out, feeling his ki surge through it like an electric current. A bright beam of energy materialized, extending into a bright, shining blade of energy. "Outta the way, Trunks!" Goten warned, as he charged in towards Tarble. He slashed the glowing blade towards him, then used his momentum to spin around for another strike. Dropping down, Goten pushed off the ground, his feet acting like coiled springs to propel him forward. If he could land a good stab right in Tarble's gut without hitting anything vital, that ought to take the wind out of this upstart prince's sails!

"How the hell did that slippery snake wriggle out of that one?" Trunks muttered, his brow furrowing as Goten's awesome new attack exploded in a brilliant flash of light and smoke instead of smashing into Tarble. But there was no time to dwell on the failed attack as Goten's frantic voice rang out.
"Trunks!"
Golden energy crackled around Trunks as he burst forward, aura blazing. He zipped over just as Tarble rematerialized out of nowhere, those cheap teleport tricks really grinding Trunks' gears. Pivoting on one foot, the young warrior whirled to face the spiky-haired troublemaker, crossed arms deflecting a volley of strikes meant for Goten.
"What's the matter, Tarble?" Trunks taunted, a cocky smirk playing across his lips. "Afraid to pick on someone your own size? Gotta go after my little buddy instead?"
"Outta the way, Trunks!" Goten called out from behind. Trunks threw himself sideways, Goten's crazy new energy sword slashing through the space he'd just occupied.
"When did Goten pick up all these sweet new moves?" Trunks wondered, baffled, as he pushed off the ground. He was positive he and Goten had trained just as hard, so where did all these wild techniques come from?
"Hey, Goten! Leave some action for me, why don'tcha?" Trunks playfully said, rushing back in as Goten stabbed at Tarble. He cocked his leg back, then swung it in a blinding arc, aiming to clock Tarble right in his smug face. "And eat this too!" Golden energy gurgled in Trunks' mouth before exploding in a scorching point-blank beam straight for Tarble's chest.

Notes.
Just a few house keeping notes to correct somethings I saw happening wrongly. Even though Trunks and Goten are being played by 1 person, they are still seperate people and RP / actions can't interflow with each other -- that is too major of an advantage. Trunk's block to Goten attacks can only happen if Trunks posts first, and he has to expend actions to take an attack for an ally (since he would have to move. If you have to actually move, always consider it taking an action unless stated other wise). Gunna have to reduce the amount Trunks mitigated.
Remember. If you want to influence your ally's post you have to go before that ally.
RP Award: Goten. Trunks had it before this, and both writings are really just the same with the flow. So we are going to switch it to Goten. I do like Tarble's posting, I just need a bit more -- the writer for the boys is pretty good.

The Lost Prince 463/4,023 As Tarble's strike connected, he sensed an unexpected barrier; Trunks had interposed himself between Tarble and Goten. His fist met the shield's resistance with a jolt, followed by his elbow. With narrowed eyes, Tarble observed a faint crack emerge upon impact. “Trunks keeps getting in the way. I can’t keep these attacks up… these two are smart with how they battle as a one unit”
Noticing a luminous blue glow emanating from behind Trunks, Tarble swiftly adjusted his stance, seeking a strategic advantage. Amidst the chaos, Goten's urgent cream pierced the air, warning Trunks to evade just as Tarble felt a searing slash tear across his chest, blood spattering the ground. Staggering to his left in a desperate chance to evade for cover, Tarble found no respite as another ki sword lacerated his back, the pain reverberating through his body, causing him to stagger. With a surge of defiance, he attempted to retaliate, only to feel a sharp ki sword impale his abdomen, his muscles contracting involuntarily as he gazed down in disbelief at the weapon protruding from his gut. The beleaguered prince gazed up at Goten through eyes clouded with pain, his vision faltering under the onslaught of damage. Before he could muster a response, a forceful blow connected with his chin, sending him reeling to the side. Struggling to regain his balance, Tarble was struck by a powerful blast that sent him tumbling across the ground, his body skidding painfully against the unforgiving terrain. Sprawled on the earth, agony coursing through his battered form, the prince's breath came in ragged gasps, blood seeping from myriad wounds. With a grim determination, he rolled onto his stomach, planting both hands firmly on the ground to steady himself, though each movement elicited fresh waves of pain. Coughing up blood, he spit it onto the ground before him. “I might have taken on too much, but I can clearly see that these two saiyan’s have a fighting spirit. I do not think I will make it out of this one with a victory. There is experience in battle is outweighing mine”
Struggling to rise, the prince summoned every ounce of his willpower to stand upright. Despite the dizziness threatening to overwhelm him, he steadied himself, fists clenched in determination. With a burst of speed, Tarble surged forward, unleashing a rapid barrage of punches aimed at Goten. Each strike was fueled by his resolve, driving towards his target with unwavering intensity. As Goten staggered from the onslaught, Tarble swiftly followed up with a powerful knee aimed squarely at his chest. Then, with a fluid motion, he swung his right arm in a sweeping arc, aiming to deliver a devastating blow to the back of Goten's head, intending to send him crashing to the ground with force.

In spite of the throbbing sensation radiating through his small frame, Goten couldn’t help but smile a little to himself through his slightly laboured breath. He definitely felt a sense of enjoyment from pushing himself, and although he was still confused by Tarble’s unusual level of aggression, he was feeling that the Saiyan Prince was pushing him.
But before the small Saiyan could truly relish in the feeling, Tarble came rushing at him once more. A flurry of strikes came at Goten quicker than he could react, each one smacking into his petite frame. The force of them forced him to stumble back. Luckily for the youngster, he’d thrown his hands up to steady himself, just in time to catch the forceful knee aimed towards his chest.
The young Saiyan hybrid used the knee as leverage to push himself up, trying to gain some distance between the two of them, only to find Tarble gracefully manoeuvring himself around the young warrior and swiftly connecting with his arm, striking Goten in the back and sending him tumbling forwards.
Goten threw his hands forwards, catching himself and avoiding a faceful of dirt as he flipped back onto his feet, quickly turning towards his adversary.
Tarble certainly looked worse for wear since the start of their confrontation, although Goten didn’t exactly feel like he was in tip-top shape either. Trunks, on the other hand, seemed to still look pretty fresh, having not really been targeted by the Prince at all, in spite of his friend’s best efforts.
“I don’t know what this is all about, or why you decided to attack us, but it’s time to stop,” Goten pleaded, taking a few deep breaths in between words. “I don’t know what’s gotten into you, but if we keep going, this is going to get messy. I’ve still got plenty in me, and Trunks definitely has” the boy continued, not wanting to inflict any lasting injuries on the man he’d previously considered a friend. “So how about it, are you ready to give in?”
Goten used the brief respite to sneak his hand into his belt, picking out a Sensu bean he'd grabbed from Korin's tower, before tossing it into his mouth and biting down on the crunchy bean.
"Okay, I've got a few moments before it properly kicks in. Time to go back on the offensive," Goten thought to himself as he kicked off the ground, sending up a plume of dust as he rushed towards the Saiyan, his golden hue becoming a blur as he turned himself into a deadly torpedo.

Trunks, beaming with pride, couldn't help but smirk at his Saiyan foe. His plan had worked, and boy, did it feel good! He was practically bouncing on his tiptoes, ready to do a victory dance right there in mid-air. That was, until he heard Goten's voice, offering the Prince a chance to throw in the towel and give up.
"Aw, come on, Goten!" Trunks thought, almost pouting. "I'm just getting warmed up!" Sure, his buddy's peace offer wasn't a bad idea, but where was the fun in that? He had way more fight left in him yet. Plus, he really, really wanted to show off just how strong he was, maybe even impress his dad, as he imagined him watching from the sidelines. After all, Vegeta would never let an enemy off easy without thoroughly embarrassing them first.
Clenching his fists (and trying not to think about how cool he must look), the young Super Saiyan readied himself for another go. His golden hair stood on end, making him feel at least a foot taller. "I'm gonna prove I'm the best Saiyan ever!" he thought, grinning from ear to ear.
"You'd better take Goten's offer seriously!" Trunks shouted, his voice cracking a bit with excitement. Then, he launched himself at Tarble. He zipped through the air, a golden blur, smirking to himself as he snuck into the Prince's blind spot. Just as Tarble was busy dealing with Goten, Trunks saw his chance. His leg cleaved through the air, aiming to clobber the Prince right on the side of his skull. The momentum of the kick was so forceful it sent Trunks spinning around.
Once he stopped, once again facing Tarble, Trunks thrust both palms out, summoning as much energy as his eight-year-old body could muster. Ki crackled and sparked up his arms. Then, with a yell that was half battle cry, half joyous whoop, he unleashed a massive wave of energy. The sheer intensity of the brightness made it difficult to see how much of an effect it was having, other than the ground being torn asunder in front of him.
Not wanting to give Tarble a breather, Trunks leaped back as soon as his energy beam fizzled out. He placed one hand behind the other, just like he'd seen his dad do a thousand times. Another sphere of energy formed in his palm, and he couldn't help but smile. "Check THIS out!" he thought.
In the blink of an eye, he was shooting out a barrage of blasts, each one chasing after the wily Saiyan like a swarm of fireflies on a summer night.

Goten was dumbfounded at Tarble's lack of a reaction. The Saiyan had remained frozen as Goten drove his small, stout frame crashing into the Prince's ribs. The youngster swore he could hear the cracking of bones as he connected, before promptly leaping backwards, giving himself enough room to fend off any potential counter attack. It had been a particularly prudent move as well, given that his friend Trunks had rushed in after him to double down on their assault.
But just as before, Tarble didn't seem to want to put up any form of defence against the continued onslaught. Goten could only watch on in shock as the golden haired warrior become engulfed in a wave of energy so large that the young hybrid became a little concerned for their surroundings. Dirt and debris flung through the air as the ground tore apart in its wake, only further damaged by the ongoing explosions from his friend's next attack.
Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, the dust began to settle. The young Super Saiyan could just about make out Tarble in the wreckage. He certainly looked worse for wear, that was for sure. Although Goten couldn't help but be amazed at his determination, appearing to remain steadfast in the wake of their combined power.
But the one thing that the youngster couldn't place his finger on is why Tarble hadn't even tried to defend...was it pride? Was he foolishly trying to demonstrate his toughness by taking their attacks head-on? It just didn't make sense. There had to be better ways to go about it. Was there something else going on? The Saiyan Prince hadn't been acting like himself the whole fight.
Goten shook his head. Something was going on here. The young boy's hair faded, its golden hue lost, and so too did his aura die down. He had no urge or willingness to fight an opponent who couldn't, or wouldn't defend themselves. It didn't seem right. There was no honour in that.
"It's time to give it up, Tarble. We don't need to do this any more," Goten bellowed across the battlefield, offering the Saiyan Prince another chance to stand down.
