Krillin made his way through the tall muscle bound fighters, the smell of sweat and body spray almost causing him to gag. How was he supposed to find a suitable student in this place, there was barely any potential amongst the whole group, having their minds already filled with too much self satisfaction to realize how little they knew. As he made his way through, he caught a glimpse of a much stronger power, dwarfing his own though it carried with it the unmistakable tinge of darkness.

He pushed his way through the crowds, noting the green fighter he had met once before, even if only on another plane. It wasn't often Krillin found fighters stronger than himsef, and even rarer that he found a one shorter and so the Bas had stood out in his mind.

As the rest of the world came back to him, no longer singularly focused on the powerful being before him, he heard the announcer call for challengers. He saw a large burly man start to raise his hand and Krillin yelled out above the crowd, and jumped forward.

"I will fight him!," bellowed the monk, cutting off all other challengers before they made the mistake of entering a fight with the small humanoid. He hadn't been looking for a fight, much less one he was unsure as to if he even had a chance of defeating his opponent.

Krillin finished putting on his battle gear, and quaffed the small drink from his pouch, placing his training gear and remaining supplies into his pack and to the ground. He had convinced the gym owners that it would be a better idea to fight in the abandoned lot next to the gym rather than the gym itself. It would be easier to manuever out here, and less likely for the innocent bystanders to be injured. But more importantly for the gym owners, they had blocked off the area and were charging admission like it was the fight of the century or something. If only they had an idea of what they were about to witness.

Krillin stepped forward, as he was announced to the crowd that had grown quite large, much to the monk's displeasure.

"In this corner, standing four feet and four inches and weighing in at one hundred and fourteen pounds, we have the challenger! Krillin!", the announcer called, Krillin raising a hand to the several hundred people in attendance, with more filing in.

Krillin glared at the little green man as the crowd chanted for guldo.  "Green Ma-chine! Green Ma-chine! Green Ma-chine!," they chanted as Krillin rolled his eyes, obviously not amused by the spectacle.   

"So, we meet again, Krillin I think it was?," said the chubby little thing.   "It is, Guldo.  And are you just here to beat up on unsuspecting fighters?  You can't possibly find sport in that," Krillin said with a hint of disappointment at the tactic.  

Before he could get out another word, a pair of heavy wooden tables flew at him, Krillin throwing forearms up as they impacted, the force causing the tables to splinter into pieces to the cheers of the onlookers.  

The splinters hadn't even hit the ground yet as two blasts of acid shot from the skull of his opponent.   He dropped into a sideways roll, the first blast landing harmlessly on the ground, though it dissolved the pieces of table that lay scattered about.  Krillin jumped into the air, barely clearing the second blast as Guldo had almost perfectly discerned his expected location following his first dodge. 

Krillin worried he may have bit off a little more than he was capable of handling at that moment.  The usual tactics he used with his smaller size would be of little use against this opponent.  

He flipped midair as he descended from his jump, hurling a blast of energy like a missile across the distance between them, the blue streak moving impossibly fast.  

Krillin landed with a wide stance, dropping low with one hand on the ground in front of him.  Pushing off with all of his might, he flew headfirst at his smaller opponent.  He would show his opponent that he alone didn't possess the only shiny dome that could inflict some damage.

Krillin cursed under his breath at the little being' instinctive dodge of his attack. His eyes grew wide as the blast of acid shot out at him at near point blank range. He reflexively twisted midair, the acid missing his side by the width of a hair. The move put him off balance however, his body riddled with energy blasts one after the other sending him crashing to the ground just in front of a group of spectators. The blasts continued for several moments, Krillin unable to dodge for the sake of the bystanders that stood to be obliterated by the attack if he so much as attempted.

The monk returned the favor, slinging blasts back at his opponent to disrupt the assault. The maneuver earned him but a short respite, but it was enough to jump at his opponent, closing the distance and eliminating the immediate threat to the onlookers.

He brought down an overhanded chop at the alien's creepy little speckled dome, only to immediately spin to deliver a powerful roundhouse to his his opponents ribs with the next instant.

"You're gonna need more than that to get rid of me fat man," Krillin called at the four eyed balloon of blubber.

Krillin lunged forward, ferociously slamming his reinforced skull down towards the shorter fighter's fat face.

Practically salivating as his opponent took every ounce of energy thrown at him head on, Guldo couldn't help but giggle.

What an idiot. He's so busy playing hero he doesn't even realize he's going to die!

A veteran of many battles, he knew better than to think that attack would be enough to seal the deal though. The human would be coming back at him any second, probably, but now his muscles were limbered up and his aura was flaring. He was ready. When Krillin did come dashing out of the smoke he'd already coated his body in a nearly invisible layer of protective energy. This shield of sorts was all the defense he offered, which meant his head was left ringing from the headbutt, but otherwise he stood unharmed within a foot of his opponent.

"Wrong!" he yelled with a grin. As he reared back his fist became engulfed in a partially transparent white flame, leaving a comet-like tail when he aimed a straight punch at his opponent's sternum. No sooner than had his arm fully straightened the Galvan threw himself into a tight spin. Fueled by tiny jets of ki that shot off of his body at an angle, he picked up speed until the very air around him had formed a vortex. When the tornado had reached its zenith, engulfing half the fighting ring in its destruction, Guldo stopped spinning and disengaged from the veritable force of nature, allowing it to wreak havoc all on its own.

"Will you try and protect the defenseless Earthlings again?" Guldo taunted.

Before he could even enjoy the carnage it would cause, Guldo watched with disappointment as his magnificent tornado was torn apart by the sheer force of his opponent's disgustingly good nature. His teeth clenched so hard that a vein popped out on his otherworldly forehead. He barely heard the human's babbling, focusing his attention on the trio of energy disks heading his way.

"I didn't realize I was in need of a shave. No thanks, but I prefer my own razors," the rotund warrior jested. Though he may not look it, the little soldier was surprisingly agile - a trait he put to show as he ducked under the first razor-like disk before hitting it from below with a flat palm strike that sent it careening into the crowd, narrowly avoiding a few lucky onlookers.

As quick as he was Guldo already knew he couldn't hope to maneuver around all three disks, a scenario he was well prepared for. Though Krillin may have thought he'd finished him off, the Galvan fighter merely closed his eyes, tensing as both disks struck his back. Much in the way he'd been protected from the human's earlier attacks these too were severely weakened by the protective barrier he formed around himself in that instant, though like a bullet-proof vest the force of the impacts still sent him stumbling and gasping for breath.

Fortunately for him, Guldo heard his opponent's voice droning on once more, meaning he had at least a second to spin around and prepare for whatever came next. This moment proved crucial, because when he did turn he had to immediately dive hurriedly to the side to avoid being speared by Krillin's fist. Indignantly rising from the ground, he focused once more on the human.

"You think you're fast? You couldn't touch the broadside of a barn if it ran away from you," he muttered, half to himself and maybe only just loud enough to be heard over the now absolutely roaring crowd. Taking off at a run that resembled a quick waddle more than anything, Guldo eventually reached his opponent, throwing himself forward with the top of his skull acting as a warhead, loaded with Ki and ready to pierce through the human if given the chance.

Despite his momentum, Guldo felt his opponent first block his attack and then shrug him up and over, effectively deflecting him. As he landed a short distance away, his small chest rising and falling rapidly from exertion, he turned around to see Krillin's aura flaring around him. Already well-built for his size, the human now looked like the absolute peak of physical conditioning, his muscles rippling with every subtle movement and twitch.

"Jesus, how much does this guy work out?" he muttered, frowning. Reading the human's body language to the T, he formed another protective coating over himself just as Krillin came towards him at a blazing pace. Before Guldo could even try to move his forehead was in contact with his opponent's. Only his barrier stood between the two of them.

Somewhat stunned with surprise, Guldo failed to react to the follow-up attack. Again his barrier protected him from any lasting damage, but still when the human punched him in the eye he went reeling backwards, clutching at the damaged organ. "What the- who DOES that?" he wailed, stamping the ground in anger. After a few seconds he turned again, managing to half open his eyelid to reveal a fiery red eye. "Mess with my eyes, I'll mess with yours!" Seeking the satisfaction of sweet revenge, the Galvan raised his hands to his forehead.

"Solar Flare!" he roared, silently thanking his foe for having the venue for their battle moved outside. The sunlight streaming down from overhead, already shining bright and proud, was focused and refracted straight towards Krillin's eyes. Grinning fiendishly, Guldo took in a heavy breath. After amassing an incredible amount of energy in his chest in an instant, he sprinted forward and opened his mouth wide to unleash an energy blast larger than himself. It was aimed at the ground in front of Krillin, the real destructive strength coming from the resulting explosion.

Though he was protected by a barrier, his body was consumed in an inferno. The dome of fire expanded rapidly outwards, engulfing the entire ring and crowd as it looked for fuel to feed itself.
He wasn't really interested in annihilating the crowd, but he wasn't very concerned with the prospect either. All that mattered to Guldo at that moment was causing Krillin as much pain as possible.

Alright... so obviously you were blinded and you took that in your last post so its over *claps* You successfully dodged all of the AOE... at the expense of hundreds of human souls *claps* And you managed to not only block but block "Harder" lol... my guy. Taking a smite is one thing... blocking a PF Dragon Dive even while blocking HARDER... yeah that smarts but it is 1 DR lower and still blocked *rolls dmg* *takes off safety limiter he used last ref report*

Was actually pretty close this time around, Krillin you closed the gap pretty hard with that last post. I could almost feel the devastation Krillin felt at the loss of all those human souls...at the helplessness. Award goes to Krillin.
