Krillin looked on as the Celestial being rose, the charred corpse of his pet lay nearby after having jumped in front of the attack meant to finish the fight. A moment later though, he advanced on the monk, followed close behind by Zeke. Ah, so this celestial still had some of his godly powers. "You ask why I, as a warrior of the light, hunt down the dog's of Freiza?", Krillin asked with irritation in his voice. " I am after information on the one you know as Guldo. I will have that genocidal bastard if I have to take down Freiza's entire operation to do so." Krillin threw a barrier up as the celestial advanced, absorbing much of the attack, but not as much as he would have liked. He was starting to feel his many wounds he realized even as more globules of acid splashed against him in quick succession. They lacked the power they had from earlier in the fight, and the saibaman looked as though he were about to drop dead. Normally a frightening prospect to be close to a dying saibaman, but for some reason this one had not done so given the opportunity not once...but now twice. He blurred behind his opponent, the saibaman and delivered an explosive kick at Zeke's back, only to blur again, and spinning another explosive kick into his gut, sending him skyward. With a blur, Krillin was gone again, a spinning forward kick coming down hard and sending the curious creature hurdling to earth. Hopefully not enough to destroy his opponent, but enough to put him out of the fight once more. He didn't condone needless killing, and while siabamen were normally not an adversary he showed mercy, he could not deny that this one was unique. He'd have to take the time to judge this one more carefully, once the battle were over. Before he even heard the impact of his foe hitting the hard ground, he put on a burst of speed and dove headlong at Tapion, the blue sheen of ki surrounding him taking the shape of a dragon as met his opponent. An immediate blur of movement put Krillin directly in front of Tapion again, not giving the slightest reprieve to his opponent. He swung his fist around in a backhand, followed by a massive punch at the taller warriors gut. Again the monk blurred, getting ahead of the fallen celestial's trajectory and flipping back to deliver a powerful kick to send him airborne. Finding seemingly endless reserves of speed, he sped into the air in a flash, in an attempt to reverse Tapion's momentum with a elbow strike to the spine of Freiza's dog. The Old Saiyan silently contemplated why he was bothering with all this. Some group sought to secure the freedom of a few slaves. The evacuation was interrupted and quickly stopped. Normally Vegeta wouldn’t give two shits about something so trivial. “ Oh right,” he said dejectedly. One of the failed rescuers apparently had some pull or at least some wealthy backers. They offered a substantial sum for Vegeta to track down the one responsible for stopping the evacuation attempt. He wasn’t strapped for zeni but money wasn’t something he could readily turn down. After all, he wasn’t fully enlightened to the current state of his universe. In order to survive and gain much needed intel he would need something to barter with. Vegeta received a general description of his target along with a photograph that was taken during the assault. It was slightly blurry but coupled with the eye witness reports it should be sufficient in identifying the target. One of the leads he followed led him within close vicinity of the battle. He grew curious and ventured closer with no real intent to get involved. However, to his amusement one of the combatants happened to be his target. Much to his surprise and ire he recognized the other combatant. “ Tapion.” When he spoke his voice was lined with venom. He’d been tracking that one for quite some time; even before his arrival in this galaxy. At first he was content to let Tapion weaken his target. That way the Old Saiyan could simply jump in and capture both of them. However, it didn’t seem like Tapion was doing too well. “ Damn idiot,” he said when the man got blinded. Then his target began what could very well be the final series of attacks. “ Fuck,” Vegeta muttered as he rushed forward as fast as he could go. Fearing that he would not make it in time he pushed his body beyond its normal limits. Energy spiraled out from his core and spread throughout his legs. The energy expanded his muscles and caused his body to blur as he attempted to rapidly close the distance. Vegeta immediately tried to shove Tapion out of the way and started to turn around to confront his target. However, the short one didn’t seem to be eager to speak. Vegeta had just enough time to turn and open his mouth before a heavy backfist slammed into his cheek. The force whipped his head to the side. The taste of copper settled over his tongue as another blow slammed hard into his gut. The force caused Vegeta to nearly double over. Unable to keep his footing he fell back only to be struck with a heavy blow. One strong enough to send him up into the air. The Old Saiyan failed to mount any form of defense under the series of attacks. “ Fucking hell,” he manged to call out in protest before he let out a loud grunt. Pain shot through his back as a point of force slammed into his back. Not only did it bring his ascent to a sudden halt it sent him right back down towards the ground. The Old Saiyan struggled to control his descent but the effort left him unprepared for what came next. His senses lit up like fireworks when he felt a sudden surge of energy from above. However, he failed to react in time before it struck and detonated. The force pushed his face into the ground. Vegeta pushed his body off the ground in what could only be seen as a half push-up. His cloak was left in tatters. Dirt caked his graying hair. Once he was in a half-crouched stance his hand lowered down to his belt. He turned his head to the side and spit blood onto the ground. “ You little shit,” Vegeta called out as he bared his teeth like a wild animal. A small cylindrical device was freed from its pouch. With a press of a button it was lobbed at Krillin’s feet. The contract failed to specify the state the target needed to be delivered in and the boiling rage in his gut would not allow any delicate treatment at this point. Waves of heat began to rise from the Old Saiyan’s body. The tattered remains of his cloak began to smolder as the last of it fell from his body. When Vegeta stood there was a noticeable scar along his left cheek that crossed over his eye. Whether he’d lost it or if it was just firmly shut was left to the imagination. Battle scarred armor enshrouded his torso. He’d made attempts at some field repair but there was only so much he could do given his limited resources. There was a volatile reaction when the air mixed with the head that rose from his body. Blue flames began to form and spread over the entirety of Vegeta’s body. With a beastial roar the Old Saiyan charged forward fully intent to beat the human into submission.

Though each of Tapion's anger-fueled strikes met their marks the Cleric could plainly see that they did not have the affect he desired. Taking each of them head on, the human seemed to shake them off easily enough despite the scorch marks that now covered his body. As the assassin began his counter attack the Konatsu could only hope that Zeke's acid had done considerable damage to their foe's exposed back.
To Tapion's dismay the human turned his attention again to Zeke, appearing behind the saibaman and kicking him twice. Launched into the air, the creature could do nothing to defend himself from his much faster and considerably stronger tormentor. As the Konatsu moved to aid his friend he was overcome with darkness.
A delayed effect of his blinding technique?
Unable to see much of anything at all Tapion was forced only to listen in anguish as his enemy pummeled Zeke. "Hang on, Hezekiah! The Gods will see us through this, too!" he called, pained that he could not provide more support. With his voice dying quickly in the open air he turned his full attention towards listening. He heard Zeke hit the ground somewhere nearby - hard - followed by a moment of silence.
Then...
A whistling sound filled his ears, the tell-tale sign of something moving fast, and it was moving towards him. With a sharp exhale the Konatsu vanished, reappearing closer to where he'd heard his friend's body hit the ground. There was another sound as someone's feet beat against the ground.
"Come on then!" Tapion yelled, raising his arms. He could make out only a dark shape approaching him and as it arrived he threw up his guard. Instead of a punch the figure shoved him backwards. The push left him sitting on his ass and, looking up, he realized whoever had just accosted him was far too tall to be his previous opponent.
Another one?
Suddenly the new arrival was sent flying into the sky and, judging by the sound, slammed back into the ground nearby.
Or have the Gods sent aid?
With his vision slowly clearing the Konatsu reached to his belt a pulled out three small medicine tablets. He didn't know what exactly was going on, but he wasn't going to leave himself defenseless. Tossing the pills back he rose to his feet again and strained his eyes towards the ground around him. Somehow he'd apparated right next to Zeke.
"Hezekiah, you have done well. Rest now," he muttered to the prone saibaman as he held a hand out. A small light left his palm and encapsulated his friend in an aura of healing. As a voice rang out, that of the newcomer, his attention was torn away from Zeke.
That voice... Could it be?
Though his vision was still in shambles the Konatsu watched as a shadow from his past engaged with the man that had tried to assassinate him. Krillin gritted his teeth in anger as his blast exploded upon this intruder. Who was this Saiyan whom interferes in the capture of this despicable slave trader. Before he could discern the whereabouts of all three of his opponents, and register the layout of the battlefield he saw the silver capsule hit his foot a moment too late. The shock's went through his body, causing the bloodied monk to fall to one knee. His entire body flexed as this newcomer approached, breaking free from the incapacitation just in time to knock his opponent back from pinning him by a flurry of blows. " Sorry old man, my dance cards full. You'll have to find another fourteen year old boy to feel up," said the monk as his hand slipped into his belt pouch and retrieved the tiny bean, and slipped it into his mouth. " If you're throwing in with this slave trader, then you'll receive the same treatment," said the diminutive human while chewing, the juices causing several of the cuts along his face to close up. He swallowed the remainder of the bitter legume, and seeing no sign of backing down from this elderly Saiyan, he screamed in rage and let his power rise once more, the black ki engulfing his body this time with an ominous crackle of power as battlefield grew dark, clouds crackling with lightning filling the sky in a massive swirl as it were a great whirpool of the monk's anger. He felt out his three foes, knowing he was in trouble if this didn't work, and let the ki continue to build, his eyes going white as his own ki threatened to overwhelm his senses. He'd have to even the numbers he realized, if he had any hope of seeing this gauntlet of a battle through to the end. He screamed as the energy strained mightily on his still battered body, tears forming in his flesh, tendons taught, his muscles bulging weirdly with as much barely contained raw power as he could ever hope to control. He looked at his opponents in front of him, meeting their gaze and with his teeth gritted...smiled, releasing the bombardment of destruction. Not only was Vegeta’s charge stopped but his opponent actually managed to repulse him. There was a begrudging respect in those dark eyes. Respect that was short lived when it became apparent that his opponent didn’t seize the momentary advantage. Rather than taking the offensive the boy stopped and actually spoke to Vegeta. While the words made little sense it did not change how aggravated that made a seasoned warrior. What does age have to do with combat? Saiyans trained from birth to be warriors. Was this boy’s planet that peaceful? The visible rage that dominated Vegeta’s expression all but vanished as he donned a mask of calm. The anger became like a silent wave that coarsed down his body and seeped into the ground. A soft tremor spread out from his feet as Vegeta’s power steadily rose. Dark energy enveloped his body as the Old Saiyan hunched forward. His expression twisted to reflect his rage once more as the boy took the time to try and actually eat something mid-battle. The Old Saiyan quickly stood up as he displayed the peak of his power. A wry grin spread across his face as he felt the boy’s power suddenly spike. “ Finally,” he proclaimed. His left foot slid back in order to reposition his body. As he moved his right hand rose. Vegeta kept his left hand held open behind his left side. With his right side now angled towards the boy he began funneling his energy towards the center of his palm. Crimson light ignited as it continued to build. The potent energy rapidly expanded into a large sphere that was roughly half as large as his opponent’s body. It was held in check an inch from Vegeta’s palm by a series of strands of energy. Once the attack was fully formed the strands were severed and a wave of ki flowed from Vegeta’s hand that sent the attack on a direct course for the inbound attack. It was time for a test of might. Either Vegeta would prove to be stronger or he would stand his ground and accept the price for weakness. Even though he stood idle his energy did not. Now that it was no longer being funneled to his right hand it was diverted towards the left. Once he held a small glob of energy it was hurled forward. Mid-flight the energy began to expand and take shape. The net-like energy quickly closed in and would threaten to ensnare the boy if it found its mark. Seldom one to waste time, Vegeta launched forward on a collision course with his opponent. Ki erupted from his body as he rapidly closed the distance. The impact would likely hurt but he trusted that his body would prove sturdy enough to survive. The flow of his energy waned for a few moments before it rapidly spread throughout his body. The energy warmed his muscles so they’d be capable of far greater movement. Abruptly the Old Saiyan’s body seemed to vanish to the untrained eye. Excess ki burst from Vegeta’s knuckles as he raised his fist. The energy he used to enhance his body was nothing compared to this volatile energy. His fist swept down towards his opponent’s shoulder seeking to utterly destroy it. Fashioning his energy into the shape of a blade with his free hand Vegeta stepped forward. He thrust the blade forward intent to sink it fist deep into the boy's gut.

Despite his diminished vision Tapion was still very much on the alert with his other senses. A mass gathering of energy clearly distinguishable as his opponent's prompted the same from the Cleric. He clutched one arm close to his body before firing it in unison with his opponent. By some miracle his vision chose that moment to return to him revealing that the human's attack had already been met by and defeated by Vegeta's. With smoke from the two exploding energy blasts still hanging heavy on the air Tapion's own burst through.
As he gathered his power up for another strike he watched Vegeta mount a full-scale assault against the human's defenses. Though the Saiyan had clearly not found the fountain of youth sine their last fateful meeting it was more than obvious that he still possessed incredible strength. Combined with his tactically superior mind the warrior made for a formidable foe even for a man that had out-classed the Konatsu.
When last they'd met Vegeta was a bounty hunter after the price on Tapion's head. Of course, that had been in the other place, before the Gods brought him to this dimension. There were many questions that would need answering after the battle and though he was not sure where the Saiyan would stand once the bald one had fallen he was content to recognize the enemy of his enemy as a friend.
Releasing a second super-charged energy blast the Konatsu threw his body into a tight spin. Fueling himself with ki he continued to pick up speed until the very wind around him began to acknowledge his pull. Within seconds a powerful tornado had surrounded him and with the Cleric at its eye he sped towards his enemy.

Krillin felt the heat from the explosion as stung his already burned skin. The newcomer had thrown a blast into his own attack, though the result was unclear other than the massive wave of heat that spread in every direction. Who was this bastard?!? "Out of my way!", shouted the battered warrior. Just seconds before he seemed to have the situation under control...now he was struggling to keep not two but three at bay, and this newcomer was by far the strongest. His anger threatened to boil over, the anger he felt from this Saiyan who dared intervene. Not only would Tapion go free, his crimes unanswered for, no... Guldo, who had obliterated an entire crowd of people into little more than ash for the sake of amusement would go unpunished as well. He needed to finish this, but how?
The net of energy almost caught him by surprise, but he managed to activate the glyph on his wrist just in time. The net melted onto him harmlessly, a thin sphere of fire surrounding him just a moment later. But his movement was much slower, he winced at the excrutiating pain in his hip causing him to stumble. Dislocated most likely. He realized it had been adrenaline keeping on his feet, the only thing keeping him from buckling. He pulled the small vial from his belt pouch and downed its contents just before his opponent came rushing forward. He managed to get the drink down by activating the band he wore on his wrist, an energy shield flickering into being just between him and his foe in the nick of time. His opponent slammed into him, the barrier buzzing and crackling under the strain and after only a few seconds shattering with a pop as the stray energy rained down like snowflakes onto the battlefield over the two warriors. Krillin could not keep his defenses up with his hip as it was, but he managed to stay on his feet.
A moment later Tapion rejoined the fight, attempting to sling more attacks his way. Thankfully his first attack sailed wide, probably still suffering from his blindness, he was not as lucky the with the next attack however, the orb of energy hitting home, knocking the monk backwards into as controlled of a roll as the monk could manage. Though the pain was excruciating, he managed to come up on one knee several yards away, his bloodied wounds reopened, and his blistered skin all but scraped from his hands and scalp.
He saw the battered Tapion begin to push energy into an attack, the wind beginning to swirl. Thankfully he had seen this attack before, and though it was painful, he threw himself into the ditch he had been fortunate to end his tumble near. The powerful attack did littler more than pelt him with dirt and sand as it passed harmlessly overhead. While laying there, he slowed his breathing, trying to focus his mind for the task ahead. This may be the end for him, but if he were going to go, he'd making these bastards feel every ounce of hatred he had been holding back, saved for Guldo. After all, were those who protected evil men from the consequences of their evil deeds any less guilty? All he could hope is that King Yemma would be understanding when he arrived.

Though it had been in just the nick of time, Tapion saw the human dodge out of the way of his tornado. Even in his death throes the warrior reminded him that he had a long way to go before he was going to be able to fulfill every wish the Gods had of him. If he couldn't even finish the flailing assassin off then how could he hope to succeed when faced with the army he knew would one day march against the Gods. He'd seen it before, back in his dimension, and he knew how powerful the forces of evil were. Anger welled up in the Konatsu again, though this time instead of his opponent he was the target of his rage. Rage at the fact that he'd come so far, learned so much, merely to be bested by a human armed with a bald head and facts of questionable source.
Turning his anger outwards the Cleric pounced, diving into the ditch the human had found shelter in and aiming another single-handed blast at close range as he fell atop his opponent. Fueled by his outburst of emotion the pitch-dark flames of the Gods outlined his body again. Turning from his usual boxing preference in favor of the ground-and-pound, Tapion stood over Krillin and reared back twice, aiming two jaw-breaking hammerfists at the human's face. Giving into his own body's desire for raw damage output and unrefined technique he reached to grab his enemy's head in his hands and slam his forehead against the man's. With a great heave he flipped himself backwards, flying up and out of the ditch just as Zeke struggled to the edge.
"You leave Master and Zeke alone now!" the saibaman screamed into the trench. In frustration his brow creased. Get out of the way? The demand left him baffled. It wasn’t often that a warrior would ignore a Saiyan. The few who did rarely survived. It did give him cause to ponder over what Tapion must have done to this boy. Whatever it was it inspired an almost blind focus. All of this was overlooked in favor of the begrudging acknowledgement Vegeta felt towards this boy. In the face of overwhelming odds the boy stood his ground like a true warrior. Not only that but he did not buckle beneath their combined assault. In fact the boy managed to mount a defense that left him standing once there was a brief pause. Such determination deserved only one response. Vegeta would meet this warrior head on in a test of strength. He was just about to command Tapion and the Saibaman to cease their attacks when something happened that stole the words right out of his mouth. The boy dove into a ditch. The Old Saiyan’s expression darkened instantly. He fumed over silently praising the boy’s tenacity moments before. Tapion wasted no time in pursuing the boy only for the Saibaman to take up the assault next. The little creature stole the Saiyan’s attention briefly when it spoke. Once this was settled he planned to examine that one. It was the first time he’d seen one say anything comprehensible. He walked forward. With each step he took his hand steadily rose. A bright light ignited in the center of his palm when he came to an abrupt halt. “ Let this be your grave then.” With his intent vocalized he unleashed a steady barrage of ki. While each orb of ki was small and without serious power they were numerous. No matter where his opponent went, Vegeta’s aim would follow in an attempt to keep him in the line of fire. He stopped without warning but a crimson glow heralded something far greater. Energy cracked and popped near his exposed palm. The energy started to swirl and condense into a sphere. The Old Saiyan glowered before he shouted, “ BIG BANG ATTACK!” The full force of the attack was unleashed in an attempt to bring the boy to his knees.

Krillin climbed to his feet, ready to put forth his final stand, the blood pouring from several wounds. However, as soon as Tapion caught sight of the monk, a green missile of energy was upon him. He blurred, feeling a zen come over him that he had not felt. At peace almost, resigned to his fate, yet calm. His body felt lighter than it should. Two powerful fists battered his face as he looked on, the pain not mattering anymore. His opponent grabbed at his head, but the monk managed to slip free, and jump back. Much to his dismay thats when small ki blasts bombarded him and his surroundings. He was hit several times before he managed to put up his defenses, concentrating ki into the shield to protect himself. " Big Bang Attack!" he heard as he stumbled down to his knee, struggling to maintain consciousness. He was fading fast, but he looked up at the powerful attack and let out a deafening roar of defiance one last time, the massive energy blast halted from the pressure released in that cry. The acid balls rained down again, but Krillin could not make out if they were hitting him or not, his body numb from the pain. This would be his end he knew. He looked up, Tapion's silhouette barely discernable. Zeke closer, appearing to be face down on the ground, having given his all for his master. The mysterious warrior that had intervened standing in the distance, he might not know the warrior's name but he felt his aura, remembering it, burning it into his memory. In an act of defiance he stood, bruised, battered and bloodied. Even with the surprise arrival of Vegeta and all the flashy explosions that came with his fighting style, Tapion's opponent refused to go down easily. If they had been attempting to make an example of him then they would have failed. Instead though it was the human's grand gesture that fell short. He boasted of wanting more punishment - a glutton apparently - but even Zeke could see that the assassin's knees were shaking under him. He was on his last leg and though he'd managed to surprise and overcome Tapion and Zeke at first the battle was all but over for him.
Approaching slowly, Tapion sighed. "It is over, let it be that," he said soothingly to the battered man. Stopping just before him, the Cleric reached out gingerly with one strong, sinewy arm, settling it on his opponent's shoulder. He stared the man in the eyes for a few seconds before abruptly grabbing at the back of his head with the hand. With all the force he could muster he slammed his head against the shorter man's, trying to land a decisive blow. Having proven himself incredibly resilient so far though, the Konatsu doubted he'd finished his enemy so quickly.
