Mid Battle Learning
Not going to lie, this is just coming off the top of my head with the help of Bane. Its a raw idea and needs some work, which is why I'm bringing it to the suggestions for feedback. Based on Determination we should allow people to learn 'needed' techniques and super forms in mid battle. The technique portion will need some serious polishing, but the super forms one is pretty easy to polish up.
Super form quests have word count requirements. So how about, if a person meets the actual requirments in a battle and during the battle hit the word count needed to have completed the quest, they are rewarded with the super form mid battle. I don't really need to go too in-depth with it. It is just that simple.
*Base stats requirment, check.
*Trait requirement, check.
*Personal Word Count, check.
Next RP Award, [Fighter] has unlocked the ability to [Super Form].

It could be something like "If you're in a battle and your total WC is equal to or more than your next trans that you don't have then when you're declared near death you can trans into that state"
Then you get to keep that trans after the battle, even after you die.
Minimum probably like 5k Determination. Working idea.

5k Det is almost as much as you'd need for top tier transformations. I'd suggest a much lower amount, so that people around mid range can possible get their transformations this way.
If we did it this way, it might encourage people at weaker power levels to use this dangerous method. Since battles are always a risk when you enter them. Considering some of the 100k+ transformations are already at Very Hard level, this would already exclude any battles done to just give power level. The flip side is that there maybe be people that try to use this method by dueling, and just aim for the transformation and not the fight itself. So I can see why we'd want to have it at a higher than low level Det level.
I would suggest it closer to the 1k mark, though this may even be a bit high.

As for techniques, those can be aimed at in a certain vein as well. By hitting 10+ posts each, a fighter can learn a fundimental for hitting... lets say an average of 300 words per post to give it a little dump, so 3k words. For an advanced, could be something like double, for 6k words.
I would also like to ask if we did for the word count method, would there be a stacking with transformation words?

This is being suggested in some form in the next patch, just fyi. Just wanted to let people know we do look at these and try to implement them! Not to get anybody's hopes up though, I believe we suggested it in the last patch too and it didn't get added. Fingers crossed  |

tbf, I'd only agree with the idea as a sort of replacement to the actual quest, not to allow people that haven't met any of the requirements to get em...except maybe as say a temporary (in battle only) thing. I mean it is interesting, but shouldn't be abused...certainly since battles are nowhere near as dangerous as a decade ago.

I think it should go without saying that you would need to meet the requirements. I honestly don't really think there's much potential for abuse here since you'd earn the trans and be done with it. Worst case scenario is someone gets off a few hundred words as opposed to just completing the quest, which at that point I have to say, it's really not that big of a deal. Yes battles are less dangerous, but they still maintain some level of danger and extra work. |

It's not exactly like questing for them is dangerous. and that's fine, but claiming battles are dangerous is kind of an overestimation too, considering you can just go for a battle with someone, tell them up front you want to use this method to get your form and voila...you basically have a zero danger way to not just get your superform, but also some nice juicy battle gains. If this method would be approved, you can basically scrap the quests... |
