It had been several days since Kalabasch had landed on this new planet and one thing was clear, it was not a place for him. They were so behind in technology, so behind in strength, the place was more boring than his cell ever was. With that in mind, he shouted to his only companion while carrying today’s meal back to the wreckage of their ship, “Hey Prometheus, how’s the ship looking? Do you think we will be able to radio out any time soon? I don’t know how much more of this rock I can take, we need wings to get out of here.”
Lights began to illuminate the mechanical companion’s eyes as he spoke, “Unfortunately by my calculations, it would take me the better part of a day to get it operational and even then, we lack the parts for such a repair job. The only system that seems to still be working in this ship is the long and short-range scanners. These were powered off to conserve energy and thereby closed off from the shock when the ship gave out on us. If I may be so bold, if we activate the scanners…”
“Ha! I have a brilliant idea on how to fix our situations. If we activate our scanners, we might be able to find some ships to take the parts we need from. Not bad if I do say so myself,” Kalabasch gloated to himself as his robotic companion looked on feel mildly defeated by the saiyan’s pushy nature.
“Yes sir, I couldn’t have come up with a better plan myself,” Prometheus said in a dry monotone voice. The robot began to flip switches inside the ship and with a small whirling sound and a few electrical sparks, the display screen came alive showing several ships on a course for Earth. “We may be in luck there seem to be several strange vessels heading to Earth and their landing site is calculated to be just a few miles south of our current location. You should be able to make it the ETA for them entering the atmosphere is 30 minutes.”
Kalabasch smirked wickedly, “Alright! Prep the repair process while I’m out, it shouldn’t take me too long since I’m not picking up any significant power levels from those ships. This will at least give me time to stretch my legs and let loose a bit of pent up aggression. Time to party.” With that, the Saiyan went from a crouched position into a blazing fast sprint, purposely ignoring the ability to fly for the sake of the exercise. After about fifteen minutes of running, he saw the ships heating up on their approach and his mind started go wild with excitement with the anticipation for a fight building within him.
“Alright you bastards, time to see how good you are at dodging,” he said before throwing a few ki blasts at the ships to gauge how agile they would be on entry to the planet. The yellow balls of energy collided with the first wave of invaders with a satisfying explosion, or rather it would be if Kalabasch wasn’t hoping for an actual challenge. “Oh, come on! I’ve seen sturdier ship in a junk yard,” he shouted as he refused to fire anymore ki blasts until they had some troops on the ground.
The second wave, now alerted that their fleet was under attack, began to open fire at the figure on the ground not knowing who it was just knowing it was not friendly to them. The attacks against Kalabasch excited his body as his hairs began to stand on end while watching the blasts near. “That’s better! Let’s make a show of it,” he shouted back knowing damn well that no one in those ships could hear him due to the distance and the sound of explosions as the first barrage hit the Earth. Kalabasch tapped his scouter that began playing music from this planet into his ear. “Well I guess there is one good thing this planet seemed to have going for it,” he said as he began to dodge incoming ship fire to the sound of the driving rock song blasting in his ear.
The second wave of ships landed on the ground with their landing allowing them to touch down relatively unharmed despite the haste of the operation. “About damn time, I was getting bored of dancing with myself.” The Saiyan quickly ran towards their ship hoping that they would be better fighters on the ground than they were in the air. One of the eager soldiers fired a hand blaster at him and hit him square in the chest while he was busy dodging the third wave of enemies. His clothes became charred and left a small burn on his right pec. “Damn you guys ruined my new clothes already with those tiny peashooters you got there,” he growled as he advanced on them.
As the he neared the soldier, Kalabasch deflected one last energy bolt from the ships and it crashed into one of the already landed ships, engulfing the aliens escaping from it in flames. After that, he noted they had stopped their aerial bombardment to try and cut their losses. Now he had his desired personal time with the soldiers which started by him grabbing the muzzle of energy gun and crush it. The explosion from the energy gun caught the soldier’s arm on fire as he screamed and began frantically patting it down as his attacker casually walked by looking for a proper fighter. “Hey! I know its cliché and all, but take me to your leader. I hope he’s a better fighter than you and the other grunts seem to be.”
The nervous soldier looked stunned at the request before realizing that if this man had taken a direct hit from his gun and crushed it just as easily, they stood no chance against whatever his goal was and the only fighters worth their weight in salt in their armada would be on the flagship. The nervous blue skinned alien nodded to him quietly before pointing to the largest ship that had just recently landed down. A large Cheshire grin appeared on Kalabasch’s face as he hurried the man along, “Excellent let’s not keep them waiting I’m sure they are dying to meet me.”
As the entered the ship, the soldiers eyed him and were ready to fire as soon as their leader gave the command, but no command came as if they were already watching the soldier escorting him. He looked around and saw that each and every being on the ship with the same loadout before laying his eyes on their leader and his right-hand man. The leader wore an elegant uniform befitting an admiral, but the enforcer was a different story all together. He was a massive hulk of a beast covered in scales with four arms and constantly scowl on his face. “Ah you must be the leader of this little gang of invaders, I am Kalabasch and I assume that over there is the only worthwhile fight I’m going to see today so let’s skip formalities and get to the fight proper, shall we?”
The leader looked at him quite irritated by the cocky fighter before them, “If for no other reason than to get you out of my sight so I can finally begin our plans for this planet in peace, I shall humor you.” With a flick of his hand, the monstrosity to his right stepped towards the Saiyan and roared fiercely. Kalabasch wasted no time running towards him and unleashing several body shots on the creature. To his dismay, there was no noticeable damage on his opponent from the strikes. “Well damn,” he said before being interrupted by the creature grabbing him with two hands and pummeling with his second pair of hands. Through the punishment he was taking, he saw weaker flesh around his armor and smirked.
With no further notice, he blasted his opponent’s weak spot with as much ki as he could spare. The next move from Kalabasch was his body instinctively landing on the ground free from the grapple. Now free, the Saiyan began grabbing each arm and blasting them off at the weak point one by one until the four-armed monster had nothing but bloody stumps left. Kalabasch looked up to the leader and smiled, “I think the winner is determined how about you leave this planet and never come back?” With a look of sheer horror the leader nodded timidly, “Troops prepare to launch w-we will be leaving at once.”
Kalabasch walked off the ship and blasted one more of the second wave just to ensure he had plenty of salvage for his own needs before tapping on the scouter. “Hey Prometheus, our friends will be vacating shortly run me through a description of the parts you need and I’ll start scrapping some of their ships they were kind enough to leave as a gift of our good times together.”
History:
His mother gave birth to a half-breed, an action that would cause her great shame in the saiyan empire should it ever be found out and the offspring proven to be weak this made for a constantly tense situation raising the child on her own. His father was from one of the other alien races the that were under the vast empire ruled by King Cold and his sons, his race had several things in common with the saiyans. On a full moon, his race would turn into hulking felines, specifically in his father's case, a humanoid lion. Due to the similarities and the lack of a moon on the planet itself, the half-breed nature of Kalabasch went unnoticed by the general populace. As a young child, he was going to conquer planets as was the case for all of the lower ranking saiyans and that became a usual routine for him up until around age seven.
On another routine conquest, he found himself ruling over a planet now devoid of battle ready lifeforms with many robots now serving under him as he waited for his ride back home. The ride never came and Kalabasch fended for himself for over a year. all while exploring the planet. Upon one of his exploratory trips, he found a decently advanced robot that was sturdy enough to spar with. After that, his days added training to his list of daily tasks, slowly gaining strength through discipline and hard work. One day during his routines, he saw a ship land sporting an emblem denoting it as part of Frieza's empire. His first thought was that they were finally here to pick him up, but that quickly proved to be false as the grunts began firing at him making their objective of killing him to be made perfectly clear. In the struggle that followed saw Kalabasch along with his robotic companion board their ship and blast off leaving the soldiers on planet and distracted by their traps.
His robotic servant engaged the ship and they took off but, not before the Frieza soldiers took shots at the ship causing it to be unable to leave the solar system. With this limitation, they were forced to make a stop on a planet unknown to them. This planet was not yet conquered by saiyans for the Frieza empire and had strong enough warriors to call for a proper strike team. This would be where his luck ran out. Within moments of landing, a group of resistance fighters surrounded the ship and began firing at it. The metal began to fall apart with some of it hitting Kalabasch in the back of the head. He was careless in his panic of the attack and lowering his awareness to the collapsing ship cost him dearly.
When he came to, Kalabasch found him in a cell with a strange collar around his neck. It was then he realized he was taken prisoner making him the youngest captive in this strange new home he found himself in. He would later find out it was only his young age that allowed him to survive the attack on the planet. He spent decades in this prison plotting his escape until one-day chaos swept over the prison and he had his opportunity. Through the chaos, he managed to find his companion and steal a craft to get him off the planet. This ship wasn't as well guarded for good reason, it was small, slow and barely holding together.
The ship took several days to get to an inhabitatable planet. The planet it found itself was Earth. It seemed primitive to him, but now an adult that made a point not to stick his neck into places that it didn't belong, he tried to keep his arrival quiet. His drive now was the need to repair the ship well enough to signal back home without knowing the full story of why he was attacked and the fate of planet Vegeta.
