Vegeta [W] vs Mona [L] [Ref: Puar | Complete]

Going according to his plans Mona struggled to deal with his rapid approach. Blow after blow had landed in quick succession and riddled the plain with craters that were roughly a meter deep and three meters wide. To much of his surprise the female wizard had managed to lift her guard, using her forearms to block the majority of the force. However, this meant little to the Prince as he continued with the barrage, beating down the woman like a red headed step child. 

Suddenly his eyes caught a strange movement, one clearly not used for defense. Instead he caught Mona's frail hand creeping toward her sword's hilt with grand purpose. Instinctually Vegeta leapt back but there wasn't enough time to avoid the vertical slash. With a growl he lifted his arms up, crossing one over the other as they formed an 'x' in order to shield his face.  Acting of its own volition his aura engulfed his body, coating his skin in a thick plate of ki, almost as if it were it's own armor. The blade found purchase in the film of ki that Vegeta had managed to muster, shattering large chunks of solidified ki from his forearm. 

Already the battle had started off in a rapid manner, causing both emotion and adrenaline to run rampant. With a growl that would rival a lion's Vegeta took her bait, charging in close to maintain striking distance. White gloves glowed with brilliant light that illuminated even the mid afternoon sky. The white ki formed itself like boxing gloves around his fist as he prepared for the 'slugfest.'  He started with a left body cross, aiming to crush in the fragile ribs of the wizard. Twisting his hips and driving through his heels he swayed his body from the left cross into a right hook, once again aimed near the ribs. Finally with a quick dip he rose like a rocket, his fist threatening to permanently change the structure of her chin if it connected. 

The Prince of Saiyans wouldn't stop there. No, instead he would continue with his assault. Leading with two weak hits and following with a vicious strike after said attacks. It was a flurry of attacks, belting down on her like a blizzard, streaks of white from his gloves and boots became hardly visible as he lashed out at her. Punches were followed with elbows, knees proceeded kicks, and the beat down ensued. Finally he knew he needed to recollect himself, so he dipped low once more after two quick jabs. This time instead of preforming another clean uppercut, he would sweep out his leg like a lever, attempting to collapse her stance and knock her onto her ass.

Falling to her back with her legs spread into the air Mona seemed to growl back in defiance. Vegeta, more considered with the battle could only click his tongue against his teeth. "Silence wench, we have more important matters to deal with." He spat back in a tone much more stern and serious than her own. Her tattered clothing would do little in terms of womanly wonder for the Prince, not that he wasn't interested, but instead the Prince was too thrilled with the thought of going 'all out' against an opponent for once. It was almost as if his mind had censored out her features, masking them in a crimson red haze so the could focus on the fight instead of the person. 

"Had enough?" He taunted with a sinister smirk plastered on his face that was nearly unmistakable at this point in his life. Vegeta was having fun, like a dog with a new toy or cat with a mouse. He viewed Mona as nothing more than his play thing, his prey, a creature worthy of a hunt. Deep within, possibly due to his race's natural battle prowess and desire, there was a fire lit. One that he could feeling raging inside like the darkest depths of hell. It began to burn, not just metaphorically but literally. He could feel his body begin to rapidly heat up, sweat forming in response over his skin. More so there was a burn that crawled from the base of his stomach to the tip of his tongue, nearly the same as a cheap Vodka. 

His jaw unhinged and from his uvula a blazing inferno was summoned. It erupted from his throat like a tornado, swirling over on itself in a surprisingly well controlled manner. As the flames licked the grass and singed them to a deep coffee shade, Vegeta made his way forward. He cupped his right fist with his left hand- telegraphing the attack from a mile away. If she was paying attention through the flames, she would see it coming clear as day. However this didn't stop him. Instead of using his right hand as a focal point for his ki, he surged all his focus into his left hand. An orb manifested itself and engulfed the balled hand that rested inches from the open palm. 

"Grit down!" Vegeta said as he took a final stride with his left foot. Throwing his entire body into the swing he allowed his mass to shift through the proper motions. On top of the velocity behind his attack, as well as the weight, he allowed his muscles to erupt with their true strength at the last possible moment. Like a fine tuned machine Vegeta's body would deliver an attack that was leaps and bounds stronger than any normal fighter could produce. The hook swung out, but instead of swinging wide he tucked his shoulder down tightly and pulled into the strike. This allowed the strike to stick close to his center of mass, almost acting as a hammer as his fist grew closer to her left cheek. 

As the explosion filled the air Vegeta leapt backwards, slashing from his toes to the very stars in the sky. Once more an invisible blade of compressed ki and air threatened to tear Mona in two. Yet at the same time, the attack had a weakness, the plume of smoke created from his attack would act as both a hindrance and blessing. Due to the smoke Mona might have been disoriented, but at the same time this became a clear sign for an oncoming attack as it parted like the red sea. His eyes quickly tracked down Mona if she would move from her last defensive position. 

With a mighty roar his jaw once more flung itself open and a beam shot out from his mouth. The brilliant blue ki crackled with destructive power as it scared the ground below it. However that wasn't all for Vegeta's offense! He still had time to keep her pushed back into a corner, and it could spell disaster if he would give her any room to breathe. "Guard up!" He warned as he charged head first, his arms guarding the top of his skull as he attempted to crush her sternum.

"Oh -ho, still have some spunk left?" Taunted the Prince with a look so sinister that even his own skin recoiled back in response. "Good, it's about time you began taking things more seriously." Lowering his guard slightly he leapt back, putting a few feet between himself and the battered woman. "Now that my warm up is over, I think it's time to kick things up a notch myself." Without any theatrics this aura suddenly vanished and his hair spontaneously transformed from a deep raven to a dull gold. His eyes glistened with the green irises of the legendary power that he had now mastered. "Witness the true power royalty. The few capable of mastering the Super Saiyan transformation and surpassing its limits. Now then, where were we?" 

His aura continued to be absent as he launched head first once more, with his arms out in order to protect his cranium. Rather it was through his spikey hair or his raw strength, he intended to ram through her stomach once more- infusion every fiber of hair and layer of skin with ki in order to accomplish his goal. He flew through, or by, her with such incredible speed post transformation that it even took him by surprise. His feet dug themselves deep into the ground as he scared the surface of the planet. Skidding to a halt he crouched slightly and sprung forth once more. His right had was already cocked back and ready to fire like a loaded gun. As he pulled the trigger he could feel the impact of the punch's force exploding out in such a grand radius that the very battlefield would whisper tales of their bout for years to come. 

Solid soil acted like water as it lifted from the ground like a tsunami and came raining down on the two contestants. His right hand continued to drive through the swing as he hoped to knock more teeth from that pretty face. As the sun glared down on a switch in his mind flipped with excitement. He rose both hands to his face and extended four fingers out far before placing them on both sides of his eyes. Tightly clenching down on his own vision he prepared himself for a little backlash of the technique.

"Solar Flare!" Vegeta bellowed with such bass in his voice that it could have been mistaken for its own explosion. 

The light was blinding even though the Prince had secured his eyes tightly like a vault, so he could only image the image she saw moments before the technique. A bright screen of light struck down from the heavens, obscuring his vision slightly as streaks of gleaming beams covered her indecency. He lifted his head to his head, shaking off the after effects of his own ability.

"Damn old crone, such a double edged sword." Vegeta groaned having been the first time he ever used the technique that Bri had taught him.  Gritting down with all his might has hand found itself conveniently clutching onto his necklace- the one gifted from the tribes and given to Prince Vegeta upon birth. Why had he been holding onto it? 

Suddenly, only audible to the Prince of Saiyans, a drum began to echo. Slow and methodic- steady, like a heart beat. It was strange, yet at the same time it was welcoming. The first thing since his new found abilities that granted him a semblance of peace. The moon gem began to strum louder and faster, each beat carrying Vegeta's body forward with such purpose it was as if he were possessed. He found his left hand, the same one that was previously latched onto his necklace, extending itself of its own volition, fingers raking out like claws. Claws, that was it! The moon gem, the claw that stretched out before him, the true power of the Saiyan race- the Oozaru! This was a clear sign of Yamoshi, the Saiyan God that the race revered so dearly.

Mona would face the pride of a true warrior! The calling of a god himself! Her fate was sealed even before the thought to face the prince had manifested itself in her mind! He lunged out like a snake, striking with such furious and speed that he looked more primal than composed. His eyes burned with such intensity that even the depths of hell would have felt welcomed. She only had so much time to react, maybe even less due to his previous technique. If she moved the world would quake with his power, continuing to fill the ground with craters as if a meteor had fallen. However, if she remained in his path- something worse was instore. This wasn't the same as before, he wasn't trying to toss and slam her around. No, instead he was going to slam her head so far into the ground that she would be able to feel the sting of the planet's core. Recoiling from the aftermath of the attack he prepared himself for her retaliation, sliding down into one of the Saiyan's signature stances. Was this the opening he needed to bring a close to their little bout? Was this the will of a god?

Vegeta cackled with amusement as he lifted his hand from the side of the woman's face. Dust and debris fell from the now soiled and once pristine snow white glove. "I have to admit, you've surprised me." Vegeta said with a huff, sweat rolling down the chiseled features of his face. "After all that beating I could have sworn you would stay down, yet here you stand." Lifting his soiled glove he smeared the sweat from his brow and stood to his full height once more. "I think this little game has gone on long enough." Muttered Vegeta as he dramatically clenched his fist and held them joined at his waist.  

With a roar that echoed like thunder the Prince revealed his true power. Darkness stretched out from the depths of the planet's mantle and kissed the golden inferno around him. His power, as corrupted as they were, clearly battled with one another- light and dark, good versus evil. The lightshow was more than just a brilliant display of color, in fact his power began to climb to it's absolute ceiling. The once smug grin that was on his face was now exchanged for a furled brow and look of annoyance. 

"I'm surprised you pushed me this far. I guess you desire credit for that much at least." Vegeta growled, his hand fumbling along his belongs as he pulled out a small capsule. "Here, catch this." Lobbing the small pod over with such a nonchalant attitude. The Prince avoided his gaze once more and just as before a blaze of light filled gap between the foes. He flew forward, aiming to take out his enemy in the small moment that he had. His emotions ran rampant, fueling his muscles and ki with every ounce of power that they could muster. 

Unlike before Vegeta didn't have to worry about his body's position or his footing. Instead, due to his suddenly flight path, he could throw his entire body into his attack. His fist twisted and aura once again sparkled with it's dazzling brilliance. Silence became absent as the explosion rang out like a sonic boom. His fist threatened to tear through his enemy if he had landed his punch, and more importantly it would give him the distance he needed to continue his attack. His right hand cupped itself against the rear of his left hand, fingers slightly intertwined as he loaded the attack toward the back of his rear leg. 

Purple energy crackled as the basketball sized orb appeared in his palms. "I'll show you some of my most powerful techniques!" He spat as his aura ran wild. It took no more than a moment before the orb had doubled in size and sent bolts of kinetic energy arching into the ground. "Galick," Vegeta said before suddenly disappearing from sight. He had hoped that Mona would be flying back, but rather she was or not didn't matter. His goal was to appear behind her, body crouched down low to the ground and his hands already in motion to launch his signature move. "Gun!" That's when it happened, all in a single instant- he appeared, exactly like he wanted to. The arms threw themselves forward with no care in the world, the beam offered little sympathy for anything in it's way. 

The purple beam devoured all it touched. Stone was reduced to dust, dirt had vanished from sight, and finally the sky had a single hole in the center of it. The hole was placed where the beam had torn through, like punching a pencil through a piece of paper. Clouds dispersed themselves in a perfect circle and lingered for a moment before converging back together. 

Still the Prince of Saiyans was not done, he had said techniques.... 

The left arm stretched out as far as it could to his left. His right mimicked the motion, spreading his ribs open as far as he could as he stretched out his wingspan. His hands crackled with energy, sparking with such grand power that even the lightning that arched off of his hands caused minor wounds against his own skin. His right hand however was calm, gathering ki in such a refined manner that it was almost like he was split into two different people- right down the center. While his left side was uncontrolled it was clearly more powerful, and his right was nothing to ignore either as the orb created in it only continued to grow in mass. "Final!" Vegeta said under his breath with determination lingering on his tongue. He ran forward, hands at his side and raking against the ground leaving scratch marks against the earth. When he was finally within his judged distance he pushed all his reserved ki into his feet, leaving nothing more than a flickering afterimage in his stead. 

"FLASH!" Screamed Vegeta as he slammed both orbs of ki together. Controlled and unstable, raw strength and refined will, both clashed together beautifully. Their colors mixed and swirled, twisted and twirled, until nothing more than a brilliant golden light was in its place. A single orb found itself cupped against his butted palms and then... there came the flash. Much like the light of the stun grenade or even the Solar Flare, the Final Flash's ability to illuminate even the daylit sky was spectacular. The sound of the end of days filled the air- like one hundred atom bombs explosion in unison.

That was the only sound for awhile, until the hum died down and the rustle of branches wisped into the air.   The Prince stood there, sweat now cascading from his forehead constantly. His body was weak, and his power was nearly completely gone. It was the first time he had been able to preform such a technique and after years of training he was pleased with the outcome. But it took quite a heavy toll on him, he knew that he wouldn't be able to push himself like he had just done for some time- in fact this might even be Mona's chance if she survived. Acting as if she would he lowered himself into the same stance he had before. He would not be the fool to underestimate his opponent.

Mona spoke of pride when Vegeta had used the item that hung along his belt- she was right though. Was that how things all came down? Did the proud Saiyan warrior really need to use cheap tricks to win against such a low life entity such as herself? No, he didn't. Still, Mona had managed to surprise Saiyan Prince in more ways than one. First, the amount of force behind her first attempt to clash with Vegeta's attack was more than impressive. Had it been for raw strength of the technique alone she may have won, but fortunately for Vegeta more would need to be considered in order for her to overpower him. 

Next there was the final technique she used- the one that was meant to slow the most devastating attack in Vegeta's arsenal, the Final Flash. Whatever the attack was it held the potential to rival even his ultimate technique. While it didn't do much to stop the Final Flash, it did manage to slow it slightly as to avoid lethal damage. Maybe that was the thought process behind it all, maybe Mona was just throwing the abilities out to save her life.  Regardless she had managed to peak the Saiyan Prince's curiosity, with some time she might become a refined warrior one day. A warrior that would be worth the effort to face on the field of battle. 

"I.... Have to.... Admit," Vegeta said with heavy fatigue breaking his sentence into segments. "You're not.... half bad." The Prince leaned forward, resting palms against his knees for support as he panted with exhaustion. "Got... more... left?" He said as he stood up, his neck flinging back slightly and his hair dropping back to the raven black hue that it once was. 

The Saiyan Prince still had more fight in him, but upon viewing the state she was in he knew nothing more would come from it. She was on her final legs, hell she barely had the strength to lift the bean she held to her mouth- let alone eat it. So he had a few options, finish things right where she rested or let her walk. Never the one to be known as merciful Vegeta pondered the thought, but still there was something that told him not to. Something that whispered in the back of his mind with promises of stronger and better fights. Maybe he should spare her? 

Sweat rolled down his face as stress settled into his fatigued muscles. "Give up, you can't win. I will spare your life, find me when you're stronger." Vegeta stood there regally, waiting for any signs that she would agree or deny his terms. If she so decided to stand against him then her fate would be sealed, but this was her chance. Could she swallow her own pride and accept defeat but live to breath another day?
