Trick or Treat: Emi (W) vs Joseph (Dead)

Joseph had considered this year’s Halloween a success, with another night of managing to fill his bag with copious treats. The Demi-Earthling had spent some of the night trick-treating with friends. Eventually, after they were done and had to go home, Joseph, with permission from his mother, teleported to other cities to expand his night of trick-or-treating and catch a few more that didn’t yet shut down their festivities for the night. Once he filled his bag nearly to the top, the Demi-Earthling returned home, situating himself by putting up his bag of sweets and changing out of his costume. He didn’t sleep for long. However, being woken early in the night since he had napped earlier in the day between training sessions. He woke up feeling annoyed at having wakened up so early on a school night. He took a trip to the bathroom, and on his way back to his room, he heard the television that had been left on downstairs.


It was on the news, and Joseph was still half asleep and paid little mind to what the reporter on screen was talking about until the mention of explosions and an ongoing riot in another town caught his attention. The child reached his senses to feel the energies in the area stated in the reports, and he felt one strong energy and copious distressed aura moving away from it. Joseph quickly changed from his pajamas to his fighting clothes, gathered supplies, and teleported to the sight of the Chaos.


The Demi-Earthling through the streets, looking to each side at what had previously a peaceful, thriving city now a hellscape. The streets echoed with explosions and screams as the half-Saiyan sped through the green mist along the crater-riddled streets. Joseph flared his aura around himself to blow away the smoke in his path. He felt that the immense energy was a good distance away from the fleeing ones, and the boy acted with haste to mend the situation on his way.


He placed his palms together, gathering energy in his hands. His palms tingled as the invisible ki vibrated in his palm, resonating a low bass sound. Joseph held rose his hands up and casting the transparent orb. As it ascended, it expanded from the rough volume to that of a beach ball, for miles, the ravenous fires left behind by the Pesky Demon’s onslaught slowly receded and eventually disappeared.


Joseph knew that putting out the fires only solved one issue, and there were still the overwrought civilians and the injured. The boy broke off into a dash through the city's streets and put on his scouter while keeping his own senses reached out. The auras that weren’t faint from critical conditions were a maniac. He could feel the influence of chaotic and malicious energy in the air; it felt somewhat familiar. Joseph became a bluish blur as he sped through the Town. Along the way, he had to take brisk and careful steps and jumps over craters, chunks of ruined buildings, and bodies that ranged from charred corpses that rarely appeared whole-bodied and some just being left as skeletons. He had to push down a twinge of anger and his disgust at the devastation around him.


The boy seldom encountered such mindless destruction. He’d compare what was around him to atrocities committed by Spider and Broly, two individuals that earned their place on a short list of people he abhorred. He made his way to the violent crowds, and before they or any watching them knew it, a wind seemed to blow passed them before they fainted and stumbled to the ground. They had been dealt with by quick jabs at their pressure points. Joseph didn’t want to harm people who didn’t have control over what they were doing. He did his best to quell the chaotic population and give the rescue teams and law enforcement time to arrive.


Joseph looked up and thought he’d get a better sense of where he was needed most from the sky, then he thought of Mona. She could fly and was strong, almost stronger than him. She’d be helpful against what was causing this, plus her ability to heal and teleport would be useful here. He reached his senses out trying to find her ki. “I guess she went to Kelioux or somewhere. Alright, Nimbus!” Joseph called, and a cloud quickly sped to his side. He readily hoped on and took to the skies.


Joseph stood on the cloud and scanned the ground below. His scouter caught some unmoving energy signatures and informed him that they were injured. He teleported any injured he found on the streets, placed a hand on them, and teleported them to the hospital with instant transmission. In the case of citizens that ambulances were nearby and on their way, Joseph flew by them and shot them with healing energy channeled through his staff to ease their pain and improve their chances of survival.

The rescue teams arrived and mobilized to alleviate the scene as Joseph made his way toward Emi’s aura. He descended into the green smoke and flew through the streets with the cloud hovering over the streets as he moved forward. He rose his arms and lowered his stance to prepare himself to attack or defend in any way he’d need for what was coming. As he looked, he felt a spike of energy and caught four bombs flung towards him. Joseph jumped off the cloud above the bombs and threw a ball of ki. Upon colliding with one of them, the bomb exploded, causing the rest to detonate at once. The force of the explosions launched him higher into the air and hurled him across the streets right towards Emi. Once in range, he shot his leg forward in an attempt to crash his sole into the pesky demon’s face.

After making it back to the ground, he shot his leading hand forward for two quick punches at her jaw. After the combination, he got a good look at the source of the night’s mayhem. “A Pesky?” In his studies, he had learned about a number of demonic races, some of which he had even encountered some, peskies being one of them. He had seen some during the war while clearing Valhalla. The bigger demons had them bring weapons and do other tasks, and they even were used as shields sometimes. Joseph looked up as Emi spun in the air and rapidly descended towards him with a wide swing at an astounding speed. He watched as she rushed, ready to knock his head off while standing his ground. Joseph kept his arms raised and launched his rearward right hand forward to intercept Emi’s wide hook with a right-cross. Her speed may have been amazing, beyond any speed he had witnessed apart from Yan or Mazikeen and Aria’s speed enhancement, but she had given him a great deal of distance by going into the air. Her swiftness may have made up for that, but her mistake was opening the door for Joseph to take the shortest path to strike back. The right hand was a linear blow, and the fastest way between two points was a straight line. In engagements like this, a straight attack would always beat a looping one.


When either punch would have struck its mark, Emi’s punch knocked against his head. Though having less steam than intended, Joseph turned his head at the moment of impact to have the punch graze across his face to disperse the force. Joseph reached his hand over Emi’s head and moved down in an attempt to lower her head and break her posture. He moved his hand to control her head, swaying back and trying to steer her second punch off course. While doing this, he may have obscured her, lowered her hat, and obscured her vision. When the third punch came, he moved back while still trying to keep her head down to maintain her broken posture and keep her from having stability on her feet. No stability meant no power behind any shot she’d take.


Afterward’s Emi took to the air, spinning yet again. Joseph took advantage of this time and distance and ignited his Super Saiyan transformation. He looked up at her, wary. He felt the energy building rapidly. The boy pulled a capsule from his sash, pressing down on it and summoning a green shield with two snakes at the ends with their heads raveled at the top and a lion's head in the middle. He jumped back and held the shield forward in both hands to brace himself. He heard the demon exclaim that he was a bad kid and would receive a big trick before an explosion erupted. Joseph focused and channeled his energy into the shield. It gave a green glow before a vast wall of translucent manifested in front of it and spread a block wide and three stories tall.


The immense blast crashed into the wall of energy; Joseph gritted his teeth as a sharp twinge of pain jolted down his arms, his hair and clothes blew as the blast violently exerted itself against the wall. The overwhelming force carried throughout his arms to his legs and back as he fought to remain steadfast, harrowed at the havoc the blast would wreak on everything behind him. The heat singed his forearms, and his legs shook for a moment before he steeled himself and lurched forward against the blast. The wall developed cracks that gradually expanded before the wall of energy shattered, knocking him back. The remaining force of the explosion opened cuts on his arms and tore the side of his gui and his pants. Joseph landed on his back and coughed as he rolled to the side and slowly got up. There was a trench that went up to where he was knocked back and more broken glass and rubble around, but for the most part, the land that stood behind him was saved from further harm.


Joseph stood up and straightened his stance. He placed his hand on the sides of his head. “Solar Flare,” As if evoked by an incantation, a flash of overwhelming brilliance erupted, trying to ravage the vision of the violent demon. Joseph then bounded high into the air. “Nimbus!” The cloud quickly rose and placed itself under the half-Saiyan child, and he rose higher into the air high above the building of the town and was already nearing the clouds. The boy was making it a priority to get this fight away from the town and its people. He kept ascending higher and higher, going through a cloud and then riding nimbus across the air in an attempt to leave the town, wanting to compel Emi to give chase and draw her attack to the air away from the civilianry and the rescue teams.

The child yelped and pain and stumbled back as the retaliatory flames lashed out at him to ensure he didn’t get his hit in for free. The burn sensation rushed through his entire body, but even so, he steeled himself and didn’t let that slow him down. He was hoping the counterpunch would have rattled her more. He wasn’t ecstatic about his tactical position in how this fight was going early on in this early stage, but the Demi-Earthling was relieved that he saved the city and its people from further devastation.



At the least, the boy managed to use Solar Flare to open a window of time start leaving the area to the Piskie’s protest. The Demi-Earthling leaned forward, and in a vast burst of acceleration, the cloud shot through the air at even greater speeds. A sonic bomb erupted in the sky, sending out a shockwave and parting the cloud that surrounded him.



On his path, a bunny ball shot up in his direction before releasing two more bombs. Joseph projected his aura around himself as tiny blue wisps manifested around and a thin blue layer of energy appeared over his skin. He then made a baseball-sized sphere of ki and flung it towards the bombs. The Demi-Earthling then bounded from his cloud and was over the explosives just as the ki blast met them.



Upon collision, the blast detonated both bombs at once, with the explosion launching Joseph even higher, soaring further across the air bringing even closer towards the continent's borders. Joseph looked over his shoulder to see if Emi was still behind him. He was almost driven to smirk at the impression that he flew too far to be able to see her. However, the moment he turned his gaze glimpse of a fist immediately followed by one hitting his face did well to correct him.



The child felt a surge of ki following this, and right after the moment of impact, he channeled his aura, snaring the energy released, dispersing its explosive force as the ki then swirled around him and took the form of a blue veil of fire. The relentless demon was not finished there. She then jabbed at him with claws of ki. Joseph quickly formed another layer ki, this time generating a milky white layer of energy.



The claws dug through the veil and made sparks as they poked against the blue layer of energy and pressed against his gui. Joseph made a violent cough as her fingers jabbed and came just short of pushing into his guts. He may have had ki protecting him from being pierced, but it was like wearing armor and being struck by a heavy attack from something like a sword. Some of the force may have been mitigated, and it may have saved him from a more severe injury, but there was still internal damage from the strikes. However the commandeered energy would ignite sending an explosion to have Emi share some of the pain.


Joseph yelped as the claw detonated and engulfed him in an explosion. Red energy circled him as he tried to absorb it to dampen its impact. As he quickly descended, he made it five stories down before his nimbus cloud caught up to him and caught his fall to some relief. Red sparks of electricity shot from the boy's aura as he gritted his teeth in an attempt to absorb her energy in vain. The boy then stuck his arm out and pointed his index and middle finger at Emi. A bolt of red lightning launched from the boy's finger at the Pisky demon. The bolt had two colors, yellow and red, with red being dominant. The bolt would collide with Emi and envelope her in a painful electrical cage of her energy, momentarily immobilizing her. Joseph lowered and took a knee on his cloud and panted as he continued to fly forward and made it to shore. After passing the edge of the continent, Joseph descended and had the nimbus hover above the water as he flew across the sea moving away from any energy signatures he could feel.

After gaining some distance away from the City, Joseph stopped and turned around to see if Emi gave chase as intended. The Demi-Earthling looked approached the shore to see what the Piskie demon was doing. He saw the piskie demon moving her sights to an undestroyed area and gleefully throwing down another bomb to his dismay. He promptly rushed back to land on his nimbus, making another sonic boom to thunder through the air and splitting the ocean behind him.

The first explosive landed in the middle of the street. Luckily the road wasn’t too busy on a Sunday night. The explosion caused three cars on the road to swerve and spin in panic, with them on their way to a light post and the side of buildings. Joseph quickly shot his hands towards the cars and released three beams of ki, each car was enveloped in a cloak of his ki upon contact, and Joseph stood on his cloud and pulled back, causing each car to slow down and come to a halt before crashing. The boy took a breath in relief before blasting off in pursuit of Emi’s energy signature. He caught sight of her spinning and throwing bombs with reckless abandon.

The pain caught up to him immediately after, and Joseph had to fight to keep himself from being brought to his knees by the injuries. He couldn’t let himself drop-down now. He had one vicious enemy in his midst, not to mention the innocent people below him. He cursed his folly the inside for what happened just now. Being certain she’d follow him was a mistake, one that an entire city could pay for if he didn’t do something soon. The blue energy receded and vanished from his person, leaving him wishing that it would have lasted a little longer.

The Piskie Demon was not done. However, she ascended higher into the sky when he felt a spike in her energy; Joseph generated a bubble of energy around himself. He then held his hands towards each other like having a basketball and generated golfball-sized blue ball ki. The sphere exuded warmth and tingled each of his palms as more power was concentrated into the small mass of energy.

When she deployed the explosive, and it lit up the sky, Joseph shot his hands forward, sending out the ball of ki to meet it. Upon contact with the bomb detonated, and the blue sphere of ki rapidly expanded and resembled a black hole that grew with each moment as it worked to engulf the explosion. Once it was entirely inside, the black hole of ki contracted, shrinking down before the ground began to tremor slightly, and another explosion erupted through the air. Joseph quickly expanded his barrier into a wall over the area to keep the shockwave from carrying down to the City.

The blockhole of spirit energy exploded and released Emi’s explosion, though its size appeared halved after exploding from the void of ki. The explosion crashed over the wall of energy he casted, with Joseph pouring all the strength and concentration into maintaining the shield. The boy gritted his teeth and growled in a determined effort to keep the destructive force at bay. A hurricane rushed through the city, and the land of the seaside City quaked below. The barrier slowly cracked before eventually shattering against the wait of her explosion, sending out a shockwave shattering some upperstory windows before it dispersed doing no harm to anyone, anyone besides Joseph who was pushed off of his nimbus, which was blown away from him. The Demi-Earthling plummeted to a violent crash forming a crater where he landed.


Joseph made a pained rolled the side and coughed up blood before turning to his back. He slowly pushed himself back up and rose to his feet. He jumped from his crater, prompting his nimbus to follow him and catch him. However, just as he landed the demon spewed another blast of energy at Demi-Earthling and it exploded against his shoulder nearly making him stumble off before leaned forward to steady himself. The drone bombs came from outside his line of sight and exploded against the Demi-Earthling, nearly knocking him off his nimbus again. He braced himself, keeping steadfast and speeding up on his cloud, ascending towards the demon; the nimbus suddenly stopped flinging him off it towards Emi as he then shot his fist to explode into her face and send her flying back, hopefully towards the ocean.

He grabbed his staff from behind him and landed on his nimbus, which zipped from side to side and appeared and left images of where he was an instant before. The real child and his cloud shot towards Emi again, holding his cudgel in both hands like a baseball bat, and spun for a heavy swing at her body to send her farther away. Afterward, he rose above her and came to a stop waiting for Emi’s next move. He needed a new approach to lure her away while staying engaged with her otherwise her mindless destruction would be directed towards the city.

Joseph’s aura rapidly ascended as he prepared to hurl the barrage of ki blasts at the Piskie demon, though before he could toss the first sphere, the orb flickered and vanished from his hand as lethargy suddenly assaulted him. His vision blurred, his body loosening as he looked as if he was losing his legs from under him, as he leaned forward, beginning to fall off of his cloud.



Everything started to go black as the boy’s consciousness began drifting away from him; his hair changed back to black, and his bangs lowered. He was on the verge of falling from his nimbus cloud before he straightened himself and stepped back to get more steady on his cloud. The Demi-Earthling aura ignited around him in the color of the gold as he reentered his Super Saiyan form.



The child shot forward on his nimbus cloud towards Emi. He clamped his hands together as he hurled his hands together to crash across the face, intent to send her flying back before he shot forward and shooting a fist forward at her stomach. He then circled to cut her off on her path and spun into a kick to crash into her side before vanishing and appearing in front of her as he shot his fist up for an uppercut.



 Once the physical was done, he didn’t stop there, as he stretched his arms out to each side as red energy emerged in each of his palms. His power ascended exponentially before he shot his hands back and forth rapidly to cast a torrent of ki to bombard the Piskie demon.
