Knives: VR Octagon, Combat Rune || Mira: Champion 3, Combat x2, VR Octagon

Bishop repeated his movements, with each slash counting the repetitions. "600, 601..." He said, fake sweat dripping from his brow as the sword arched down in a crescent like path. He had been practicing his form for days, learning the way of the sword in order to differentiate himself from whom he was copied.
Up until this point he had done everything he had done. The Shadowguard, Damaskian adventures, even odd jobs that meant nothing in the grand scheme of things. Yet this was different, this felt like his own- so he kept going, that was until the faint echo of footsteps echoed into the training center.

Lady Sosa had given Mira a gift. The Council Member was handed a key that gave access to the VR Octagon. He took it to the training center, looking to test out the location.
Arriving with a calm walk, Mira saw another here working on weapon slashes. He would do just fine.
"We are entering the Octagon for special training." Mira said directly to the only one in the room walking to the door and waiting for the man to follow.

Wiping his brow with the ends of his sleeve he turned to the man. "UHHH, sure, I guess?" The lingering of the s on his tongue eluded to his confusion. Just who was this mysterious man that appeared and commanded him?
While the quest did peak his interested, what was more interesting was the access to the Octagon, only the elite few had access to it. The pathway to the Octagon was relatively quiet for all but the clicks of the heels- that was until the training room became visible."
"Can I use this, still need some practice with it?" He said holding the ebony blade up slightly.
Shell Mira — 05/17/2022
Mira ignored most of what the man was doing until they got near the training centers inner confines. When he showed the blade, the Android shrugged, "If you desire to do so that is fine."
The doors opened and Mira walked in first waiting for the blades man to follow.
"I want you to go all out. Supposedly this facility allows better gains the harder you work and I want to see if for myself."
Balial — 05/17/2022
With a smirk across his face that aired confidence the Android preceded forward. His fingers lifted as Mira spoke, laying themselves loosely around the hilt of his blade one by one.
His optical scanners ran down the man, examining his stance, ki, and power level. The man was far beyond his capabilities, hell, it was basically like walking into a slaughterhouse as a pig.
But that was the thing about Bishop, he never backed down. With the grin on his face he leapt into action, blade swirling from his head down to his lower waist. Then, with all the force he could muster, he attempted to carve the man from hip to collarbone. His onslaught wasn’t over that as he quickly flicked his wrist to twist the blade toward his foe. Once again he attempted a slash, this time aiming for the neck with a powerful cleaving strike.

Towa's greatest creation was designed for combat. He was capable of many things, but at his very core he was designed to be her bodyguard, her muscle, her instrument of destruction.
Against most that worked, but the forces the Time Patrol could bring forth and the God of Destruction had been problems for him. It was why he wanted to test a place like this, why he wanted to experience it first hand to see if it was truly worth his time to work in here.
As his opponent came at him with his blade drawn, it reminded Mira of one of the most persistent members of the Time Patrol. His eyes narrowed slightly seeing this and wanting nothing more than to put this man down right away, but that wouldn't have been helpful. Instead he relied on his design, his mind showing him the first attack and allowing him to jump backwards at the last moment.
As his opponent continued, Ki infused into Mira's pointer finger on his right hand. He moved the hand to block the incoming attack that was meant to slice up his body. Then the Shadowguard opponent slashed to strike against his neck. The classic attack, but the Captain stepped forward, not allowing the proper distance before raising his right fist to hopefully counter with a powerful strike to the body.
"You are an Android. One of the Robotics Division or something else?" Mira asked calmly wanting to know exactly who this was, hopefully still in the same attacking position from his attempted counter.
A ball of energy formed at his finger tips before he flicked it at his opponent, "Supposedly this place can survive powers almost to the maximum of the God of Destruction." The first beam ball wasn't meant to do much, but then a larger ball of energy formed, "I'd like to test that."
A flip of his fingers sent the second, much larger and powerful blast at his target. He was looking to test both this room and his opponent. Hopefully they would both pass that test.

It came of no surprise to the Maelstrom of Misfortune as Mira effortlessly defended against his highly telegraphed attacks. However, the question that followed did. He had thought himself to be in a league of his own in regards to his design- albeit the goal of the Umbra Syndicate was exactly that. So how did could he tell he was of artificial design?
Unless Mira was something similar.... Something, familiar? "Somethin' else." Bishop said with shortness in his breath as a ball of energy began to form in his fingertips. "Made into someone else, trying to be my own person now." There wasn't much more he would have liked to divulge to his opponent, but he felt he should at least acknowledge the man's intuition- or whatever it was.
That's when he saw it, as if it had happened in a moment before real time, his opponents attack. It was quick, possibly to quick to react to had it not been for his advanced programing. Regardless Knives Millions managed to dip to the side in the nick of time. Explanations of the sudden challenge were then revealed as the power of the man rose and a larger blast manifested into reality.
Options immediately flooded his processors, should he dodge, deflect, defend?! Whichever it was, he was running out of time. "Fuck!" He grunted, suddenly flickering from existence before reappearing on the other side of Mira. Just then his eyes caught it.... The destructive power of the android before him- the power of something akin to a God and it was blinding....
Shell Mira — 05/18/2022
Mira was actually satisfied with the beings answers. He was also satisfied that he managed to dodge the second attack. As the blast crashed into the walls it seemed to be spread out around the place and dissipate without much more than a shake of the grounds. This place might actually be worth something.
Mira turned to see the entity that had moved behind him. Mira then looked around the room. It had seemed to shared the brunt of the first attack, a compressed ball of energy, but that was just one test.
"This place also supposedly provides those fighting in her protection. I want you to fire your best attack at me. I want to test that for myself." He looked at the man, still sounding like he was giving orders, but really just wanting to test these grounds, "That or I can fire at you."

Sweat lowered from the brow of Bishop, was this man for real? Their power was immensely different, so would his strongest move even be affective? His mind began to race with what skills were in his arsenal and then he came to the conclusion, there was one move. One he hated to preform due to the extreme toll it took on his system's power source.
"Ight, I got one..." He muttered in a low hum as his chest suddenly began to split down the center to reveal a nuclear source far to compact for standard modern technology. The blue core began to whine and spin, growing brighter and brighter with each rotation. His hands extended and like polar ends of a magnet the core began to float between them. Suddenly power began to pulse out in a rather odd shape, spherical yet imperfect.
Inside the core grew unstable, but he continued to push beyond the limits his body had set for him. Alerts began to flash against his optical, but he refused to acknowledge them. "Remember, ya asked for this!" He screamed unleashing the gathered nuclear energy directly at Mira.

Mira stood firm as the attack came at him. It was certainly powerful, and the Chaos Council member had to fight his instincts to move to defend the attack. That wasn't the point here. His internal sensors still felt the power of the attack and warned him of massive incoming damage and still Mira stood firm.
The attack landed directly, but as it hit the Android felt a surge of power seemingly coat him to protect him from the damage. It was what one of the Towa's Ki Buffers felt like, but maybe even more powerful than that. The smoke faded from the attack and while Mira certainly had damage on him, he was not nearly as harmed as he should have been after such a massive attack.
He looked at his 'training partner', "This room certainly has perks. It shielded me from the undefended damage. It will let you fight without concern for yourself or your opponent." It might have been a risky place, but it did make some sense. The Shadowguard wanted aggressive fighters. Warriors that trained without fear of being hurt would likely resort to the same tactics when battles got real as well.
"We could try the other way if you want to experience it yourself. It isn't like I gave you much choice, but to come with me to start with." Mira said, now starting to remember he was supposed to be trying to make friends as well with people to aid their ultimate cause.
Balial — 05/18/2022
Unharmed yet not unscathed- the technology of the Shadowguards was truly impressive. As the core drifted back and his chest shut once again he could only stand in amazement. Mira was right in every sense of the word. "It does have it's perks, eh?" He said with a grin that was filled from the excitement of training against stronger opponents.
"Fine then, I'll give it a go!" He said, arms stretched out with blades slightly facing outward as he began to slam his two fists into his chest to pump himself up. Was this a good idea? Eh, fuck it, leave that problem for Future you. He finally thought to himself before lowering himself into a bit of a better stance.
Shell Mira — 05/18/2022
Mira nodded, he didn't want to actually kill the target so while he would use one of his most powerful attacks, he wasn't going to full maximize its potential. He wasn't truly sure how much protection this place could provide after all.
Pushing his hands forward a large ball of black and blue energy formed, crackling with energy he raised it up above his head allowing it to grow tremendously before throwing it at his target. He hoped the room was capable of surviving the attack and that his target would get satisfactory protection as well.
Balial — 05/18/2022
Even the android could feel the heat of the attack while it slowly lifted into the air like a black sun. The aura was something unlike anything he ever felt before. His eyes widened and his foot instinctually took as step back. His sensors, his process, his programming- it was all telling him to run.
"Fuck..." He said to himself as the orb finally reached its maximum size. "The hell I get myself into?" There was no time to waste, his simple defense stance was not going to be enough, even he knew that. Within that split second he threw the onyx blade to the side, lifting both hands as if he were trying to stop the attack in its tracks.
That was until the heat washed over him. It was horrible, as if he was being cooked alive. Skin began to incinerate and his feet started to slide back. This was protection? He couldn't help but to laugh under the fear of the power before him. But slowly he began to stand firm, slowly he began to fight back the strength of the attack.
Screaming he gave every ounce of strength he had, pushing back the orb and letting it off to his right. His hands quaked, his eyes shook with fear, this was true power.... One could not deny the power of the VR Octagon, for if it weren't for it, he would have died.
"Damn it." He scoffed, falling to his hands and knees. "Still ain't there yet...." Self doubt lingered in the back of his mind as he forced himself to his feet. "That wasn't ya' full power was it?" He said, huffing and puffing while he cradled his wounded hands.
Shell Mira — 05/18/2022
Mira watched as this Android's instincts got the better of him and put up a defense. It was certainly not a bad thing to have these kinds of instincts since they helped you survive. It was a good thing to see from someone he might want to work on at a later time.
Still that wasn't the point of this experiment, it was to see how the room would protect his opponent from such an attack. His foe tried to push it back, but quickly seemed to become overwhelmed until the protective barrier of the octagon came forth. It was enough to allow his opponent to push the ball away and crash into the room which quickly reacted as it had before to protect itself.
His target fell to his knees, exhausted from the effort and that was nothing to be ashamed of in this case. Mira heard his question and responded bluntly, "It was not. I held back a little since I didn't know the capabilities of this room. I also didn't tap into the power of the chaos seed. You did well though, that attack would have killed you without the room and that is all I wanted to see if it would allow you to survive."
Balial — 05/18/2022
More to learn, more to achieve, more to do. Those were the only thoughts in Bishop's head as Mira revealed the truth of the power behind his attack. "Heh, thought so..." He said, let down by his own ambitions. "Guess there are some up sides though. Looks like this is the place to train the hardest... Now all I gotta do is get a key." He carried himself over meekly to his blade as he lifted it, wondering if he had the right to wield it any longer. "You got any clues?"
Shell Mira — 05/18/2022
Mira was simply given a key by Lady Sosa due to his position in the Shadowguard, but that wasn't really going to be helpful.
Part of what Mira knew though was that Captain Elroy was often involved with Lady Sosa.
Mira looked at the man as he picked up his sword, "Captain Elroy of the military is normally a good source of information and resources. I'd find him and work with him if I was you."
