Yua [W, no kill/steal] vs Mona [L], Ref: Joe

Mona was just minding her own business and reading from her grimoire of infinite knowledge when she got assaulted by some random stranger. She felt a tap on her shoulder, which was a nice warning and all, but it didn’t prepare her for getting her face smashed. Then the lady pushed her for a long ass time. Mona had a feeling she could have stopped the lady from pushing her, but it seemed like she was taking them out of range of civilians, so Mona just accepted that she was going to have to put up with some bullshit today. A year of peace, and now this.

“Yua huh, paladins of Avalon. That’s a fancy title there. Aren’t paladins supposed to heal people, not smash their faces in?” Mona shook her head with disappointment then continued, “listen lady, I’ve been away for a year searching through time and space for something you couldn’t even comprehend. I haven’t seen Joe in over a year. I left a magical clone of myself behind but I doubt they did much of anything while I was gone. He helped me a lot when I first arrived on earth so I’d call him a friend, to answer your question.”

Ordinarily Mona would have just left it at that and just went about her day, but she wanted revenge for getting hurt for no reason. It was a new, dark feeling that bubbled up inside of her. she told Yua "you shouldn't have attacked me. now I need some revenge." Mona couldn’t properly judge how strong her opponent was. She was permanently altered by her aforementioned trip in only bad ways. She was losing her connection to magic every day and there was a voice inside her head telling her that she ought to use weaponry instead of ki attacks, but as her luck would have it she had no weaponry on her. She’d have to make do and try to survive, somehow.

Mona surged ki through her body and yelled as a black energy enveloped her. She was trying to turn super saiyan, but this was nothing like what she expected. In the end, her transformation failed. “Fuck,” she said and spit on the ground. She held out her hands and surged her ki again. What normally would have been blue ki was an inky black which tore open a portal. From the portal she drew a weapon that had been lying somewhere in her apartment.

“Guess I’ll have to make do with this,” she said. rushed at Yua and begun to spin like a Beyblade when she got close enough to hit her with her massive sword. She’d spin one, two, three times, attempting to cut right through her middle with ferocity that Mona had never had before when using a weapon. Then, when she started to get dizy, Mona took a step forward and brought the weapon down over head and tried to cleave yua in two (vertically).

Mona wasn’t surprised that her initial attacks hadn’t hit their mark. They were wild and uncalculated and with a weapon she had never used before. So, Mona didn’t need to be told to stop spinning because she would puke if she did it any more. She would’ve responded then but Yua started her own attacks, kneeing her right in the chin which slammed Mona’s teeth together. Thank god her tongue wasn’t in the way. Mona allowed the attack to happen just like she allowed herself to slammed into the ground. The next thing she knew she was lying in a small crater and her weapon was nowhere to be seen.

Mona got to her feet slowly, taking in all the pain and allowing it to erupt within her. She hopped out of the small crater and looked at Yua. Rage overcame her. In an instant her hair turned yellow and she was finally ready to take this fight seriously. She said, “if you’re supposed to be Joe’s protector we might as well push you to your limits!”

Mona braced herself by digging her feet and she started charging up her next attack in the classic Kamehameha pose. She shouted at the top of her lungs as the orb between her palms glowed blue and when she couldn’t contain the power anymore she launched herself towards Yua with her palms extended. “HAAAAA!” she shouted as not one, not two, but three kamehamehas shot out in three different arcs at Yua.

As the arcs curved towards Yua, Mona circled around to Yua’s other side. As she ran she charged up another ball of blue energy. When she got to Yua’s rear she let loose yet another attack, hoping to truly test how durable this so called “protector” was.

“You’re the big strong protector, you should be able to handle it even if we’re fighting IN the city!” Mona roared at Yua’s warning. Her words were met with a series of slow but strong hits. Mona was far too winded from using up a third of her ki in a short period of time that she couldn’t even hold up a hand to block. She might have had a chance, if she had her sword, but she’d lost track of it.

“Ugh,” Mona groaned as she was smashed by Yua towards the ground. She could feel her organs moving around inside of her, as if being parted by the blow. The good news was that as she fell she spotted the sword. The sunlight gleamed against its massive blade. Mona spread out her body in such a way that she could fall right towards it. She grasped it right before hitting the ground and felt her knees threaten to shatter under the force they were asked to absorb.

Mona swung the sword like a bat towards Yua’s approaching foot and intercepted it at just the right time to block some of the force. Mona dropped to one knee during the collision because there was so much raw power there for her to contest with. Yua then quickly tried to close the distance but Mona used the sword as leverage to vault herself away.

“Hell no, you hurt! I’ll stay over here thanks,” Mona said through gritted teeth. She was pissed that her Kamehameha energy dan attack hadn’t worked. She blamed her lack of power so this time she was going to give it everything she had. She stabbed the sword into the ground and leaned against it for support as she charged up another volley of kamehamehas. She charged it so much that her body was nearly engulfed in the aura the blue orb gave off.

“Dodge this you robo bitch!” Mona shouted as another three arcs of light escaped her hands. She was angled in such a way that the attacks would go right towards the city if they missed Yua and Mona was excited to see how she would handle it.

Yua wondered what other tricks Mona had, but she noticed that her witch opponent seemed to go between phases. She used her sword from time to time, but it was rather large and unwieldy for Mona. She was able to block Yua'a second kick, which clued her into Mona's relative combat speed, being closer to her own. The Android was avoided for the grapple that she attempted, but that gave her to to see Mona get her next attack ready. Her body finally showed signs of the Firmware upgrade, as dark crimson armor plating swiftly started to attach to get body.

But she was already familiar with that technique, it was like Mona only knew how to use that for ki. No magic yet, but she had spotted that Grimoire earlier. The android's Epyon system didn't give a warning this time, as she instead knew what Mona was up to, since she had once knew how to empower her own techniques. Yua choose nullification of the Empowerment to best defend both herself and the forest as Yua prepared her sword. To Mona, it would just seem to be the morphed blade pointed at her to defend against the beam. However, from her blade and stemmed from her arm, she emitted a signal to cut off the Empowerment at the frequency that she knew it best. That was all the time that she read before the blue beams fired off. "Epyon, help me! Yua had some desperation in her tone, since she was still not sure if this would be enough.

But Yua's Epyon system and chassis had one more defense that was auto activated for her. A light shimmer could be seen just as the Kamehameha beams struck at her sword as she slashed at the beam with the morphed weapon. It took less than a second to get through, but it was enough to shave off just a little more damage as Yua endured the hit as she braced her legs and thrust her free hand behind the blade. This was only temporary, however, as she allowed the morphed sword to shatter from the beams. It would reform soon enough as she grunted, but stayed upright without much visible effort.

Damage reports ran, but they were pushed aside by her advanced A.I. systems. The witch's attack was calculated at the normal damage range that an unenhanced Kamehameha would do. But Yua still had her armor on, so she survived it well enough. There was damage, but what remained around her was mostly burning bushes and a burnt tree as smoke billowed around the lone android. And Mona would see that Yua stood tall as she had this newer armor on that smoked from the beam.



Her eyes had changed with the helmet that now adorned her head from yellow-golden to a light green, and they lit up as Yua suddenly rushed forward at the witch, as thrusters behind her large wing plates activated. From under the shield that showed, a light flared to life as a sin grenade was launched from her wrist, while the hand there had turned into a cannon barrel, which she aimed right at Mona. This was to lock movements up as Yua charged her first attack. Since Mona had attacked with such a highly dangerous move, Yua's programming as a battle droid had kicked in for self preservation.

Her right arm flared with flames as the Paladin pulled her arm to strike Mona with a lariat, right at her collar bone. The rush was so fast that Yua ran right past her, but that was part of the plan. Mona seemed in the habit to use the same move over and over, but that was not Yua nor her program in this mode. Silent as the grave, Yua spun on her heel and pointed her sword arm at Mona as the morphed sword had finally returned to form.

Portals opened all around Mona as the android finally spoke, "Arrow." The voice was off, and far more robotic as the portals launched waves of purple Arrows at Mona from many different angles. Once they made contact with something, each blew up as they released venomous ki towards the mage. If she loved using her ki so much, then this would punish her heavily.

"Unit Yua is still functioning at 75% capabilities. Unleash full combat ability? [Y/N]"

"Not needed as of this moment." was the reply Yua gave the Epyon system. Only if Mona kicked things into high gear, did she her operating systems calculated that of this moment, she'd need to do so.

"Has your little outburst satisfied your curiosity yet?." Yua questioned the mage as she showed no signs of backing down from this. Not when Mona was (understandably) this aggressive.

It was a strange feeling to have an opponent be totally vaporized by the Heat Phalanx. In fact, Yua didn’t feel an impact or the wind rush away as her opponent tried to run. But she had to pause even after the Negative Arrows missed their mark as well. Well, if the mage was vaporized, then she guessed that- BEEP, BEEP, BEEEEEEP. Her targeting systems regained her witch opponent some distance away instead. She was out of breath, but that was about it. Yua tilted her head, but there was not enough time in the day to try and figure it out, other than it was a spell. Either way, what she rushed at was a clone, or the witch had frozen time.

Well, that hardly mattered. With how Mona must be feeling, Yua didn’t think that there was much that Mona had left in her gas tank. The android’s body flared to life as thrusters started behind the wing plates, as an aura of crimson wrapped around the inner color of electric blue. “Well, you’ve activated my full power with that stunt. So I suppose you’ll have to try a lot harder, Mona.” The ground around where her left foot landed created a crater as she launched forward and blinding speeds, as the crimson sword flew out of the scabbard in a battou-ryu type of attack, an attack from the sheath. She followed that with an over-head swing of the morphed weapon, an attack that would have shattered the earth below them if Yua hadn’t stopped it before it touched the ground.

The Eypon system quieted down, happy at last that Yua took this more seriously. It was likely that Mona’s last trick had activated this subroutine to go full power against foes not just of this strength, but those with this level of magical aptitude and destructive tendencies. The offer to throw one of the others at the city likely didn’t help Mona’s case as she had actually threatened an innocent population. Systems and chassis operating at full capacity.

After that, the sword that swung down came back up, as the android brought her other sword as she used the cross technique again, so that Mona would be placed on the backfoot. But Yua was not done as she stepped forward with a gut check again, this time with a much larger boot on her feet than when she only had on her combat dress. She stomped again, as she flew in from above with her thrusters and wings, as she attempted to assert dominance, “Concede.” Her body took on the Crush stance, just in case she actually thought to fight back one more time.

It seemed that Mona contemplated her life, but something was definitely off about the woman. She ate attacks left and right without armor, just her natural toughness. Yua wondered briefly if this was what it was like to fight a Saiyan that didn’t give a damn about how much they were hit, so long as they could hit back. Well, she didn’t really think that now was the time to find that out. Instead, the android’s stance came into play as she readied up, but once Mona got up, she took the stance to power up. Why Yua would let her do that in peace was not something that could be explained, expect in one word: arrogance..

The Epyon system howled at Yua to do something. Stop this menace from powering up, from doing whatever it was that she was about to do with all this ki, but it understood that Yua had been able to deflect or otherwise withstand all of Mona’s attacks so far. She was not in pristine condition, but that was merely because of the attack she had taken to make sure that the whole area wasn’t entirely destroyed. However, the Epyon system then realized that she drew into it even more than before as she clenched their fist.

“Then it seems like I’ll have to put a stop to you here and now, Mona.” The android launched from there, without so much as a warning as the crimson bot launched into it’s first sequence with it’s swords again, as she lashed out with the flat of her morphed weapon to strike at Mona’s face first as she replied to her comment about dinner, “I suppose this will have to do for dinner.” The second strike happened as she spun on the spot and thrust an elbow at the woman’s stomach as a power blow meant to double Mona over. Maybe make her throw up her food. But Yua was not done as she threw her knee up to follow that to launch her into the air, where she activated the Hikou to fly after the body.

Yua charged her next attack, and launched a large azure and white orb from a clenched fist around her sword’s handle, from her knuckles. The azure orb flew where her targeting systems locked onto Mona with a few beeps in her head. “Big Bang Attack.” Of course, this was no normal Big Bang Attack, as the thing had flames about it before it exploded on impact with whatever it landed on. But this was not her final move.

Yua’s final attack was going to blow this battle to it’s conclusion as she moved her hands to the sides of her body as if getting ready to hug her opponent. But this was not, in fact, the case. No, it was time to launch the first attempt to make Mona give up. From the large green orb on her chest, energy gathered before the android’s arms moved out to the side as her legs moved so that the right was in front of the left. With Mona in the air, she didn’t have to worry about hitting the ground. The energy blast that launched from the orb was immense, as yellow-blue energy flared out at Mona, a technique that was passed to her from Shaoran, the Eraser Cannon. A move meant to finish this fight here and now, so that Mona would stop these wicked lines. The whole sky lit up like a huge fireworks display of crimson, yellow, and azure enegy that rocked the surrounding area. The wind pressure alone likely knocked down any remaining trees near the two and pushed the clouds away from the area, or vaporized them more likely. The area was vast enough that Mona would need more than just speed to dodge as the shockwave even forced Yua to land with a huge crater made on the ground.

“This the end of this fight, Mona. You made this harder on yourself than you had to.” Her system complained about the amount of energy used, but this much should be fine. If needs be, she had one more finishing move within her arsenal.

Alright, time to do the thing. Mona, the brevity you exercise and the straight to the point style of your posts is something often underappreciated in your writing though I think a little more detail in the imagery can go a long way. This was a point made by a number of people such as Connor and a previous creative writing professor I had. He once cited a passage where ki was used in a short story and suggested I went into things such as what does the energy feel like when the ki is manifested with that in mind, I'd like to see more of the effects of what your doing, how does powering up for two minutes affect your body? What do these tears in space look like? On another note I liked the time freeze RP. It's a technique rarely used and I like it when Character's pool out an ability that isn't known to most characters and they get thrown for a loop as a result. It reminds me of how Cell and Beerus were caught by surprise and thrown off by it. I did enjoy Mona's banter.


 Yua's RP is no less than what I'd expect from RPing with him and reading his stuff. I liked taking the Kamehameha Energy Dan with Martial Arts Database and DR reducing abilities was RPed. However, I feel like I should remind you that  Vitality is no longer is no longer the stat determining ki attack damage so I'm basing it on ki and power level and though Yua has Armor and sizable toughness you that was still a mid-level DR advanced taken from someone considerably more powerful than herself.
