Mira VS Juch
Juch — 01/02/2023 10:42 AM
"I see, you're coming at it from a professional point of view," Juch spoke as the hills began to flatten out as the two of them continued to walk along. They soon became fields and the shadows of farm animals came out to graze on the grass under the blanket of the evening sky, "True, that is also a consideration for me, even if I am not focused primarily on bounty targets like you are."
"I can agree that it is true that invading your privacy would be a bad idea, but I think that model also works under the assumption that there aren't those who don't have a good sense of self preservation, no? Some are nosy, some are drunk, and I suppose there are some who don't know how dangerous you can be."
Shell Mira Towa — 01/03/2023 10:20 AM
Mira shrugged at the notion, "It is probably the case, but those that don't matter and are just annoyances are not my concern either. It is the other powerful beings in the Universe that would invoke a response and if they are that powerful, they should know what they are doing."
Power did not always mean raw strength. He had killed plenty of business leaders before that were rich or famous people or even those that just found ways to influence others. In those situations each of those men had power; it was just different from the might of the shadowguard agent.
"As you walk through this place, does it often change like this," Mira said, noting the animals and such walking around now. He was not the explorer of the Astral Realm that Juch was so he wanted to know if this was a sign that something was going on again. He did not feel anything was off, but it was impossible to be completely certain of such things.
Juch — 01/03/2023 10:44 AM
In other words, there was a filter. Not all transgressions were created equal; they ranged from petty annoyances to being actual problems.
Mira, however, seemed to be more curious about the astral realm. Juch supposed that they had been walking through this place for a while now, but the other android's question was prompted as the scene had shifted from the hills to the fields. The only consistency was the dirt road that they were traveling on.
"Yes, the astral realm hardly likes to sit still," Juch confirmed, "That is why it is so difficult to get a read on things. Most of the time, it isn't much of a problem. Typical travelers through here hardly have any difficulty. In fact, they find particular joy in manipulating the environment around them to what suited their fancy at the moment. Then, they'd disconnect and move on, refreshed with another successful meditation session. But the longer you stay in a session, the chances of the environment shifting grow higher and higher. But even then, that didn't always mean there was a threat."
"The house that I built with Beerus was probably one of the longest sessions that I've had. And it wasn't without trials and tribulations, mind. And I've had my share of antagonistic forces in the realm over the years, but last time with the Demon was the only instance that the realm itself actually intervened. It was very interesting. Since you're part of the Chaos Council, I'm sure this sort of chaos isn't unfamiliar, yes?"
Shell Mira Towa — 01/03/2023 10:55 AM
The fact that he had spent a great deal of time in this realm with Beerus the destroyer was something that brought some attention to Mira's mind. He did not react at all to that, but it was something to take note of for the future. Did this scholar have a relationship with the destroyer that was deeper than the time traveler knew. Considering the way the scholar was seeming, it was also just as much a situation where he was just learning more and more.
"I find no concern with chaos and tend to thrive in it. My combat experience has caused me to be ready for anything, but to me chaos is basically normal."
The Android's eyes moved around for a moment scanning the area obviously, "I wonder if the sections we walk into are actually just the pieces of realm that those that spend minimal time in here and leave. Maybe we are just walking into other peoples created scenes?"
Juch — 01/03/2023 11:36 AM
Certainly, even if one wasn't trained within the ranks of the Shadowguard, one must be able to adapt in combat scenarios. Because things could change in an instant, making the difference between victory and defeat sometimes just a razor thin line.
"Perhaps," Juch thought about what Mira's hypothesis. It was certainly reasonable, "I do wonder how long the realm can hold onto various scenes. You remember seeing the house I mentioned, yes? Before we were transported to that replica of South City. So the realm was able to retain that information for a long period of time--perhaps forever."
"I suppose that makes sense. But in a way, it has also bothered me. Does that mean that there is no limit to the astral realm? Just like how there's so far no theoretical ki limit in the universe? And how does this tie into creation and destruction?"
Shell Mira Towa — 01/03/2023 11:42 AM
It was hard to know for sure the answers to the questions that Juch was asking. It also showed why he had taken such an interest in this place and had made it his field of study. The Astral Realm was very unique and understanding it was certainly something that could not be fully done by most if anyone. It was a challenge like fighting the greatest warrior in time and space, but for the mind in this case.
"The way that the multiverse works and all the Universes that the Omni King watches over, it is possible that the Astral Realm is just another place. Maybe even similar to the Void realm, but obviously different." It caused Mira to think of another question, "We have our bodies and items we desire to have in here, but if you leave a sword, does the realm keep it? Does the realm simply just recall it for another time? If the realm keeps it, then is it gone from your own supply?"
Mira had a though process going about this as he walked with the scholar. He just wanted to know if Juch knew any of those answers. To the time traveler, this place was certainly new to him.
Juch — 01/03/2023 12:13 PM
Mira's input was valuable, as he appeared to be more familiar with how the foundations and how the 'behind the scenes' of the multiverse functioned. This provided an insight that Juch had only been privy to by his encounters with Beerus and Whis. Demons, angels, Kais...all them seemed so distant, but they were sometimes just a ship's travel or portal away.
There was another question posed, one that made Juch tilt his head in thought, "As we are in our current state in the astral realm, it is more of a hologram--a projection of our state than our actual physical beings. You have noted correctly that we retain our energies and we have access to everything we would when we wake up--but while we are connected to the astral realm, our bodies are still in our ships or whenever we were last."
"That is also why out of most circumstances, even if one were to 'die' in the astral realm, it would be the same as disconnecting. You wake up fine, no worse for wear, but keeping the memories of what happened. But you bring up a very interesting question. This is something I am unable to test, as it is beyond my abilities--but I have heard that there were those that had powers to manifest anything they'd like no matter what the circumstances were."
"If you have such an ability and willing to try it out, I think this is a proper place for an experiment, y'know?"
This would be the first time he would attempt something like this. An actual weapon from reality in the astral realm? While Juch didn't show it, but he was getting a little bit excited. Of course, such hype would be all for naught if Mira didn't actually have such an ability.
Shell Mira Towa — 01/03/2023 12:25 PM
Mira knew that people could not die in the Astral Realm. The way he had come to understand it, only energy of destruction or a direct Hakai would be able to properly kill someone here. It was why most were so bold to fight when they came here. It was a battle without risk and only reward to them. The reward of experience against someone you may or may not have any chance with if you met them in the mortal realm.
Mira held his hand open and suddenly a very basic Damaskian Energy Shotgun appeared. It was not the upgraded one he normally would use, but one that they had given him when he was given his rank and title. Nothing special, but certainly the weapon itself.
"Only weapons, but I can do this." He extended his arm, handing the shotgun over to Juch in case he wanted to actually examine it for whatever experiment he had in mind.
"I have a much nicer version of this, so if it turns out lost forever, then I am not that concerned about it." The Android stated calmly.
