Character Bio:
Pan is the daughter of Gohan and Videl, a child born to a half-Saiyan and a human. Yet from a young age, Pan has shown despite having less Saiyan blood than her father - there have been signs of it being more dominant than expected. Even as a toddling little thing she was determined and headstrong, enjoying training and getting stronger - she found fighting fun, although she hated to hurt others - she'd laugh and happily enjoy a 'fight' with her Uncle Goten or her Father when she'd beg him until he'd agree, to do so. There is little doubt that she has always had her Daddy wrapped around her little finger. As she grew older, she became more serious about training, enjoying it far more than studying - much to her Grandmothers' dismay and complaints.
Her childhood was as normal as it could be with her unique family, she had lessons, she had school and she had training. She had two parents that loved her and an extended family beyond her Grandparents and her Uncle Goten. Of course, there were battles and fights she witnessed from a young age, things that had to be fought to protect the planet that she and her family called home - but anytime that occurred, she was tucked away 'to be safe' - even though she wanted to help, she could fight too! Even if she was small. She hated being treated like she couldn't help.
She has never been one to enjoy remaining still, going to school and studying despite trying to please the wishes of others, she would fidget and complain of boredom. Before rushing off outside to explore as soon as she was free to do so - something that some of her family often would speak of clearly being something she inherited from her Grandfather Goku - the older she gets, the more that she longs for the chance of going on an adventure. To live out her own rather than through stories of adventures told to her as a child, she knows that her parents would worry - her poor grandmother likely even more so. But she's strong and her entire being is buzzing to move - to fight - to do something more than just wait for some big bad to fight and defeat - if she was even 'allowed' to help out.
She's still young - she's a teenager now - but she's been planning an adventure of her own for a while, even if her family won't agree that she's ready or can handle it. She hates the idea of lying, of deceiving those she cares about - but maybe she won't tell them at first. Could they really stop her if she tells them after she's already set off and started her own adventure after all..? Perhaps they would try - but maybe, just maybe - she could finally prove herself, that she's no longer a little girl that needs protecting - but a fighter with Saiyan blood that can hold her own.

With a rather dramatic little sigh, the young teenager quickly pulled her hair back from her face - annoyed with it falling into her eyes, a determined expression formed on her face as she tied the strands back - eyes narrowed at the things on her bed. In front of her was a backpack, all ready appearing to be somewhat full - sitting on the edge of the bed, lay several folded-up pieces of paper, all showing the familiar messy scrawled writing, of her own hand. How she was to fit what she needed in one bag would be a mystery - she knew to only take what was actually needed, she didn't need too much - she could hunt for food, cook it herself even.
But she needed some things, she had no idea when she'd make her way back home. The thought of leaving was still one that was a bit of a struggle - she hadn't told anyone yet about her plans. No one knew that the young teenager had been secretly planning this, for months she had been working on it - saving up little amounts of money, working harder on her training - she had even picked up some books to read up on things. She had been preparing herself, to leave home and go on an adventure - it had been something she spoke about before of course, asking when she could do it - always asking why she couldn't yet - always though it seemed no one wanted her to do so. They didn't seem to think she could or should do it.
'It's too dangerous Pan'
'You're too young still - focus on your studies,'
'You can do that when you're older, wait until you're just a little older.'
'Stop worrying about adventure - you're still a child, have fun'
'It's dangerous out in the world, you're safer here'
All things she had heard before. Over and over again. It was frustrating, no matter how old she got, the answers all remained some variation of one of those. The constant reminder of danger, of being 'too young' - most of all was the way she took it without realizing it, no matter how much she trained and how strong she got - how much she tried to prove herself - the reminder of dangers made her feel like she was seen as weak. But they seemed to think she couldn't handle it, that she wasn't capable. Her own family, it stung and remained in her mind - even though she knew deep down - they likely didn't mean it that way at all.
With a small grunt and several pillows were quickly tossed and thrown to the other side of her room. She was frustrated with it and she was done with waiting. With one last look around her bedroom, she grabbed her backpack, tossing a couple of last-minute small things inside it before closing finally. Pausing for one last look around the room, she grabbed the folded-up papers, holding them carefully as she left her room - placing them carefully in a small pile - on the counter in the kitchen. The one on top was addressed to her parents. She may not be telling them in person, but she wasn't just going to disappear - so letters had been written - to her parents and her grandparents.
She would be gone before they got to read them. Quietly she glanced at a photo on the wall near the door, the smiling faces of her parents with a younger version of herself.
"Sorry, Mom... Sorry, Daddy, I'll be okay though - I'll show you I can do this." The words came from the girl's mouth softly, one hand gently pressed againt the grame of the photo - followed by a determined nod to herself. She would do it, she'd make them proud of her - she'd come back home eventually, stronger than she left.
This was it, she had to leave now.
With one final glance around her home - she turned and walked out the front doors, bag swung over her shoulder before shooting off into the sky as quickly as she could.
Now it was time for her adventure, she'd prove her strength - to her family and friends. Most of all, to herself.
