Mira VS Juch
Juch — 01/18/2023 11:05 AM
As sparks continued to fly off of Juch as he concentrated his power, he saw Mira's approach. Instead of charging up something big like he was doing, it seemed that his companion was almost planting 'bombs' of sorts all around the behemoth. Of course, it wasn't actually dynamite or anything like that, but rather ki blasts that maintained a close enough distance to the beast without actually exploding.
Evidently, maintaining so many energy blasts at once was a delicate matter. Mira's usual movements had suffered a bit as a result, but against such an enemy, there was quite a bit of wiggle room for error as long as it didn't catch them off guard.
Juch fired. The attacks came crashing down just as the various points that Mira had focused on--as well as himself--burst into a roaring inferno. It was the first time that the monster let out an audible groan at the flickering flames before Juch's attack slammed into it. Smart--burnt opponents were certainly more susceptible to damage so it made sense to try fighting against it with fire.
The giant stumbled, its back slamming against the other cliff; its fist now free, but it dragged along the ceiling. This causing not only a massive indent in the landscape, but also sending countless rubble falling down from above down towards Juch and Mira.
The strategy had certainly worked, but the monster was obviously not down for the count. It clenched its other fist, grabbing a chunk of the cliff straight off and, using it as a bludgeon, swung in a vast horizontal movement across the area in an attempt to try and sweep the two pesky challengers away. Mira may have been faster, but Juch had little room between the falling debris and the incoming attack. Bracing himself, the gigantic rock crashed into his side, sending him flying back.
Shell Mira Towa — 01/18/2023 12:21 PM
Well it did some damage. That was certainly a positive. The best part was the audible groan of pain. Mira had a part of him that enjoyed that sound when it came from an enemy. He knew it meant they were hurting and not happy about it. That was certainly a good thing.
And that was about the end of the good things. The stumbling monster smashed against the walls and ceiling sending debris everywhere. Mira flew around in the air to avoid it until he saw the massive arm sweeping across the area looking to strike at both of the monsters foes. Mira blasted upwards, but as he did he saw the thrown rock heading right into the side of Juch. Another audible groan would likely be heard, but this one did not bring that same satisfaction to the time travelers ears. Even if it was more of just a grunt and not a groan it still wouldn't have been good to hear and would have only been natural after taking an attack directly to the body like that. In this situation, Juch was his ally and that was not something he liked hearing from his ally.
More rocks were falling or being thrown and that gave Mira another idea. He looked at Juch, "How good are you at telekinesis?"
Waiting for the answer his reply was the same either way, "The fire seemed to hurt his armor. How about we throw the rocks back at him, but with a fiery add on?"
Juch — 01/18/2023 9:57 PM
Tch. Actual damage. That was impressive. Juch slammed into the wall with a soft grunt; most likely Mira heard it, despite the cacophony going on all around them. He slid down until landing back on his feet; turning around and looking up, he could see the cracked imprint that he had left on the wall. The front of his double breasted suit--the outermost layer of his armored chassis--had an ugly gash on the lapel. Thankfully, he should be able to not have any lasting effects from the realm here; otherwise, it would have been another procedure to repair it. That wouldn't have been something to look forward to.
The monster was strong. It may be difficult for the gigantic armored creature to land a hit, but if it does, it really packed a punch. Hm, what to do next? Well, evidently, it was to move out of the way of the falling debris.
At Mira's voice, however, Juch looked back up at the falling stones. That was a good idea. As long as they continued to apply intense heat, maybe they could melt through its armor. There was simply a good amount of projectiles to work with. While Juch had demonstrated impeccable control with his note taking during their joint mission to investigate the poisonous planet, controlling a large amount of heavy objects like these were a different matter altogether.
It was worth a shot.
Instead of answering Mira directly, Juch exhaled. One by one, the stones would slow down to a grinding halt in mid air, enough time for Mira to apply any burning effects onto them. When they were ready, Juch would send them flying towards their opponent.
Shell Mira Towa — 01/19/2023 12:15 PM
Flaming rock after flaming rock was created and hopefully thrown at the monster one after another with the telekinetic energy of the scholar. Mira even took time to ignite debris that was falling on the monster without their help. The objective was pretty obvious here. Use fire and break down everything this monster had to offer for defenses. At that point it would be easy to find a weak point and put the beast down once and for all.
As Mira lit the last of the rocks Juch had control of on fire, he looked down at the ground, releasing a blast of energy towards the feet of the monster, but somehow even with the massive body, it seemed to miss. Moments later though, he brought flames up from that hole he had created to engulf the beast from below.
The debris from above, the lava from below and the rocks Juch would throw at him. The amount of raw heat in the room was growing to astronomical levels. Likely even causing a heat wave of distorted vision for both of them.
Mira's eyes narrowed, trying to see through as the armor and weapons started to legitimately melt away. The plan seemed to be working so far.
Juch — 01/19/2023 3:14 PM
The fiery projectiles launched forth, as if tens of catapults and trebuchets had been given the order. The volley flew up into the air, arcing over the chasm almost as if in slow motion. The monster looked up, but it was too late. The first one smashed right in the center of its helmet. Instead of a metallic clang of the rock bouncing off, the ignition all around the boulder carved a path through the armor; a squealing crunch resonating throughout the cavern instead. The flames of below burst upwards like a geyser straight from the depths of hell. The air all around danced frantically as the temperature in the open area began to skyrocket.
The giant's head was jerked back from the impact, but the other projectiles came quickly after, pelting it over and over again with a relentless fervor. It was quite the sight to see such a massive body twitch and stutter with every consecutive attack landing. The metal was melting away and with an outstretched arm, it could do little else as it was buried under the synchronized assault.
Then it fell back down into the deep chasm with an earth shattering thud; the remainder of the ceiling above shook from the impact until the remainder of it broke down as well, revealing an open sky above, "It...looks like we did it," Juch remarked, touching his forehead with a handkerchief from his pocket.
A sudden stillness washed over the area, interrupted only by the sprinkling of pebbles that rolled down from what had remained from the ceiling above.

Scorching flames overtook the enemy and the heat was enough. The armor melted and at the same time the flesh of the monster was ignited in the heat.
Mira nodded as the monster fell and like the others it turned into colors specs of dust. The sky was open above them now and it seemed to also show a bright sky as if the darkness they had walked into also faded.
Mira looked at Juch, "Seems the weather cleared up too."

"You're right," the Scholar tilted his head up as he cleaned the soot from his glasses. Placing them back on the bridge of his nose, a serene calm washed over the area. The dazzling pixels fluttered up into the air, disappearing into the dawn.
The sun was coming out. The night was over--at least for now. And the rain had stopped too. No more thunder and lightning. Perhaps it would be good as a change of pace. The sky was painted in hues of pink and orange as the sun slowly rose above the horizon. The air was still cool and crisp, carrying the sweet scent of dew-covered grass. A gentle breeze rustled through the trees, sending leaves dancing in the soft morning light. Birds chirped and sang, their melodic calls filling the silence. The world was just beginning to wake up, and there was a sense of peacefulness and renewal as a new day dawned.
It seemed so different compared to the house that they had just escaped from. Did it lead out back to the farm or did was it a doorway to another place altogether? Juch was curious, but for now, it was probably better to catch his breath first. They had endured a lot during their current session thus far, so a cool down period was more than warranted at this point.
"Well, that was good thinking on your part back there," Juch glanced back towards Mira, "The fire was a nice touch; I don't think we could have taken down that guy as fast if it wasn't for that. You appear to have mastered the flame."
The opponent didn't leave behind much. Just a shouldering wreck; the heat emanating from the fire had diminished, leaving a lingering warmth that slowly dissipated into the cool air. The smell of smoke hung heavy in the air, mixing with the crisp scent of the outside world that was revealed through the broken ceiling. The orange and red hues of the fire slowly faded away, leaving behind a bed of gray ashes that was hidden by the shadows of the chasm.

"It takes work and experiences." Mira said to Juchs comment on his control of fire. "Specializing in such a power does add an advantage to most skills. I can even infuse basic ki attacks with flames as well. Breaking the protection that others wear is easiest with fire."
Mira looked at the last of the pixels as they faded away, "As we proved here."
Mira did not want to openly admit part of his telekinetic fire plan came from a movie he watched as well. It was cars in that movie, but rocks worked just as fine.
Mira floated down to the burnt metal objects that were sticking out of the monster. They were now molten traces on the ground. They did not fade away like the monster.
He motioned for Juch to come check it out. He figured it was something else that could be considered interesting with this realm.
