Towa (Winner) vs Nexus (Dead) (Tier 3 Bounty Battle)

Towa was certainly doing a number on the Android. Physical damage was showing even on the metallic body and the forceful deconstruction she was putting the RBC unit through was certainly entertaining to her. Still, she would have liked to have finished the fight earlier. Now it was just time to wear down her opponent. The onslaught of punches had mostly connected, even the counters landed flush and her opponent was clearly off balance.

Towa smirked at the advantage she had, but it seemingly had only woken up a deeper rage within the Steel Legion survivor. A rush of strikes landed, pummeling her around. The impact great even this late in the battle from her opponent. Then the explosion of energy from the hostile unit. It was what Towa had expected from the battle after seeing the scouting report the Assassin’s Guild had sent her. A field of static electricity formed around her, the blast absorbed into the field of magical energy and restoring Towa’s own reserves.

She felt a sense of relief in that moment. Relief that was not earned. Flaming infused energy came at her from all angles right after. She did not pull up her guard though. The time in the depths of hell, the demon realm and the fire temple had all prepared her to deal with flames like this. She instead took it head on. Yes it hurt, yes it was probably foolish, but she knew she had a plan in mind now.

”I’m done with these games.” She said as the smoke from the previous attack faded from her. Her energy flaring once again before it flowed down to her right arm. Flames ignited around the demonic black and fire red energy formed into a sword. It was her signature attack, infused with the raw might of her energy and power.

It was time for her to unleash her biggest attack, one that would hopefully bypass the defenses and really put this battle on ice. She had seen her opponent’s habit of dodging and knew it was possible the wanted target would continue that, but she needed to press her into just dodging as well. Either option would allow the demon goddess to get back on the offensive and maximize her advantage.

The power of the Vorox wing had allowed her to fly at her target with full speed. Slashing towards the body upwards, the flames looking to break the unit down as the blade hoped to cut right through her opponent starting at the hip and heading to the opposite shoulder. Towa had rarely used this technique, because of the raw energy control it required, but when she did she was deadly with it. After the first slash she swiped across the body of her opponent, continuing to tap into the power of the wing she wanted to keep the distance close as well. Her eyes flared for a moment, but as they did she brought the blade forward, looking to stab it right into the middle of the body of her target and finish her assassination once and for all.

Avoidance was what was going on here. One after another the desperate bounty target had done whatever she could to avoid the blade. It was smart, but she could not keep it up forever. Towa was having fun with the fight and was learning a decent amount about how to proceed with things in the future. Her style was pretty straight forward and the advantages she had in this battle were clear to her, but her opponent; the target, had been elusive and had done everything that she could to avoid the death that Towa was trying to inflict upon her.

That was when her body seemed to react even more to the virus that was released at the start of the battle. She could feel the pounding in her chest, the pain it caused, but in this moment, she also realized the drain of her freely throwing around her energy. She was running low and soon would need to tap into those reserves if she was going to properly keep going with this battle.

Nexus had popped out from her transmission and immediately throwing every energy blast she seemingly could muster at the demon goddess. Towa started by dodging the first few, but then realized it was the spray and pray method that was being invoked here. Nothing special, just another attempt of desperation from her opponent. She moved towards her target and in that moment realized the trap that had been set. Suddenly, the orbs all came at her, leaving her no room for escape as they crashed into her body one after another.

The cloud of smoke dissipated shortly after and Towa could feel the power of the attack. It was fairly interesting and maybe something for her to study at another time. She gritted her teeth, pain setting in from standing in front of attacks recently and not properly defending herself. Mira would have been so upset to see this, but it was part of her plan.

She suddenly vanished from the smoke cloud, appearing next to her target once more. A grin on her face as she launched a straight punch towards the body in the flow of her movement from her left hand. At the last moment, ki erupted around the first as it had done many times already in this battle and with that the strike looked to crash into the core of her opponent. She moved quickly, bringing her right arm down towards the next of her foe right after with the force of an attendant looking to put their destroyer to sleep.

The scholar had not expected the strike to do that, but she was ok with it simply hurting her opponent. The more pain should could inflict the closer the machine would come to finally shutting down once and for all.

Rapidly she brought the left hand up towards the chin in an uppercut fashion, this time summoning forth that energy as the attack was moving towards its target. As the uppercut either connected or missed it would not ultimately matter to Towa. She would continue the assault, bringing her right hand around towards the body this time, looking to strike right under the arm and into the ribs with the same impact she had sent the Nexus’ neck just moments earlier.

”You can’t beat me.” She said confidently As she launched one more direct left hand infused with ki right to middle of the face of her target. Even if her nose was gone, it would just allow the punch to strike at every other part of the face that she could touch.

Suddenly, an electrical net of energy surged out from Towa as if she had been planning it the entire time. The slight traces of energy around her attacks all netted together and looked to capture her target. She assumed it would be dodged or defended; it always was, but it was still another thing for the Steel Legion Unit to deal with and hopefully something that would give her a chance to finally take some time to recover some of her ki and figure out what was going on with her heart issues.

The wanted target was nearing the end. It felt like this was the second time they had been to this spot, but this time the machine was seemingly running out of options. Her energy exploded out, a ferocious rage radiating around the area and even pushing the demon goddess to the brink of what she was capable of against such a force.

Suddenly the power of the android began to gather. Towa did not want to waste any time at all and as the target gathered strength, so did she, tapping into her power and finally summoning forth what she had been hiding during the battle. The incoming blast was massive. The power of the rage from the opponent had kept her from moving as she would have normally in a situation like this, but she knew she had to react. She brought up her guard, covering up, but as she did she brought the broken ground from the raging battle up to shield her as well to the blast. It would obviously destroy the debris from the battle, but it would hopefully give her some protection with her guard to withstand the blow.

The rocks shattered to the blast and then she saw another blast coming and doing the exact same thing. Her eyes widened, no this one was actually stronger than the last. She brought her arms up to defend herself again before her body reacted. A magical burst of energy that covered her and caused the blast to be negated before it could ever harm her.

Her opponent seemed to want to flee, that was not going to happen. An assassin never let their target get away unless it was a trap.

”I’m going to kill you. That is how this ends for you.” She summoned forth another ball of raging fire, throwing it at the Android once again and trying to ignite her once again.

She was not certain of how the Steel Legion Unit would handle such an attack, but it did not matter. She tapped her foot to the air as if it was solid ground. Suddenly from underneath her target a burst of raw energy erupted upwards, looking to trap her in place and allow for the end of the battle to be easier to execute for the demon goddess. Even if she spent the effort to avoid it, which Towa expected, she needed to get back on the offensive after the ferocity of her opponent had put her on the defense for the moment. She hated playing defense, it was not nearly as fun.

The Android clearly somehow had gotten into the DRD and they had wiped its memory. She was still wanted, still on the list and still had to die though. It did not change what excuses a target made, if they were marked for death, then they had to die. That was the job, that was the task and in this case she was also stopping the RBC unit from infecting the DRD. Even if they had worked on her memory, it did not stop the detailed programming of the Steel Legion to corrupt the entire system that the DRD used.

”It does not matter what you say, you are wanted for you crimes and so you must die.” Towa was not going to listen to excuses or anything else. It was time for this enemy to die and she would only have that as her fate here.

The soon to be dead android was confused, but she suddenly exploded with power once again. The energy erupting all around was sudden and it caused Towa little room for dealing with it. She simply had time to pull her guard and cover herself up with the class x block that worked so well against the energy attacks.

Towa calmly moved forward as the energy started to grow in her enemy once again. She was ready for almost everything. The key was almost. The burst of energy was not one she could simply avoid this time around. It was instead a flash of brilliant light that was released. This outburst worked like a solar flare and blinded her even through the protective glasses that she wore.

The flare of power was enough to keep her from finishing the fight for now, but she was far from completely worthless even with the flare of light. The demon goddess tried to focus on her senses as she tried to remain calm as well. She took the time to click a button on her belt, a poke from a needle shooting into her side to restore more of her energy while she was blinded by the light.

The suddenly a glowing golden shard of energy formed in her hand. The sensing of the demon goddess let her focus her energy into that shard first. She took the moment to gather the energy as quickly as she could, using the shard as a focal point. He vision came back for a moment and she quickly picked up the location of her target.

Using that focused energy suddenly a series of beam balls formed, merging into one before she fired them off at her target. The orbs broke apart, moving around in what looked like a random way, but quickly they converged from all angles looking to cut off an escape route for the Android and further push the concept of Towa trying to get back on the offensive.

The burning in her eyes flashed once more. She even missed the colliding of attacks as Nexus negated another of her attacks. That was normally supposed to be Towa’s defensive strategy, but here it was being used against her. Certainly, something she would have to keep an eye on moving forward. Well that was if she would actually be able to see again after that blinding light connected.

She had to rely on her senses at this point. Those senses, plus and audible scouter reading allowed her to know that her opponent was ready to fire another attack her direction. It did not feel like it had much energy behind it, but still felt incredibly dangerous. She covered up once more from the attack. The guard simply trying to negate the energy exploding against her directly with the energy from her own power keeping from direct contact as her arms would cover herself as she cringed behind the blast.

The impact of the Heart Virus felt like it stopped finally. She would still have to get that cured, but for now the drain seemed to be done. Now it was just the pain of the Androids merciless assault that had her on the ropes. The positive was that she was not sensing anything else coming at her. That and her vision was starting to return. Rubbing her eyes, energy began to flow around her once more radiating around her body. Just as her vision returned she pushed that energy into her right arm, forming a Ki Sword just as she had earlier in the battle. Maybe not as much energy this time, but still as dangerous as ever. The flames erupted with the attack, taking away its ability to probably slice an opponent open, but replacing it with the ability to burn them to ashes.

”Let’s try this again.” She said as she located the Steel Legion unit quickly and bolted in that direction. The unit had dodged the last flurry from the ki sword, but even if she did that again it would allow Towa to get back on the offensive in this battle.

She slashed the sword across the body starting at the hip and looking to strike all the way to the opposite shoulder. No more being nice in this battle. She expected that if any of these strikes managed to connect, then the battle would be over immediately. The demon goddess was looking for the kill here. That is what Assassin’s did after all, they killed.

She spun quickly looking to almost back hand chop with the ki sword across the neck and maybe end her with a vicious beheading? Not wanting to stop there she shifted the energy, it faded from her right arm and suddenly was on her left, the mastery of her signature technique showing as she brought it upwards looking to just pierce directly into the body and maybe end her opponent that way. At this point she did not care how the battle ended, just that it ended. Mira was seemingly holding off the DRD units from coming out to check on the explosions and that was giving her time, but she would only be able to hold off for so long.
