Nel VS Juch
The unfurling of winds greeted Juch as his consciousness materialized in the astral realm once again. The end of his cane found purchase upon the rocks overlooking a cliff; the faint scene of sea salt lingering in the air. Another wave surged forth, dashing itself against the rocks before retreating.
He hadn't been to the sea in a while now. It was a refreshing sight.

Nelgae was about to snack on a new creature near Nier before he felt the pull. He grunted in annoyance, but he didn't pull away from it. He just looked over at the girl with sky blue hair before...
Well, he opened his eyes near the sea as he landed in his crouched position on some rocks. The Ant tilted his head before he looked about and noticed his grey haired acquaintance. Friend? Nelgae wasn't entirely sure.
"We haven't met since Muten Roshi," clicked it the bug.

The waves splashed again, eroding just another sliver of the soil away - carrying what little bounty it salvaged back within its bosom. When the spray of salted water died down again, a voice that he hadn't heard for a good while resonated, "...ah."
Not adjusting his posture, Juch turned his head to the side to see Nelgae - the massive former champion. After they had parted ways after helping Roshi with his little check list, their paths have diverted.
And now they've converged once again, "An accurate statement," the android nodded after a pause, before continuing with a wry smile, "You look well. Been working out?"
Rei — 06/30/2023 10:21 PM
The ant was never really fast on the uptake, but he at least understood the android as he stood up and walked towards the ledge...craige...whatever it was that Juch stood near.
"I am evolved, if you consider that work out," Nelgae relied with a hint of pride in his tone. He had accomplished much since their last encounter. The Klaxxi were reborn in a sense. He had gained a queen for his efforts, and had gained her position of knight.
"What of you? I believe you are a...how to the squishy ones say... professor? On Kelioux." Perhaps there was a better title, but he didn't have time to learn them. As a Grunt in the PTO, his information was limited, after all. But he had done at least a little research on his new friend.
Juch — 06/30/2023 10:43 PM
"Yes, I suppose that does count," Juch replied with a light chuckle. He pressed his cane down onto the ground, his gaze turning back to the seemingly infinite ocean before him. However, the Arlian caught his attention once more when the topic turned back to himself.
With a raised brow, the android turned back to the ant, "...hm, you have done your homework. Very interesting," he spoke, as if taking the alien in a new light.
"There are countless matters that I need to attend to," he continued with a sigh, "But, at least I keep busy; I won't bore you with the details - just that I've made some progress since we've parted ways."
"You're still on Earth these days?"
Rei — 06/30/2023 10:53 PM
"People of this era have much to think on, I see," Nelgae sounded, likey a little louder than he meant. However, he did respond to the other's statement before the question. "Progress is the best. Perfection is never the goal. Perfection means the end." It was likely not a sentiment that Juch thought that the ant would have considered. But that thought was coded into his DNA. He and all Klaxxi were, in essence, a creature that was meant to evolve forever.
The actual question was then answered as he pulled his hand up an pointed it towards the endless waters as he chuckled. A low sound that reverted as if from a speaker, "No, I have already consumed enough from that planet. Until Earth sees a new evolution, there is little point in a return trip unless my queen commands it."
He gripped his fist then, as he pondered the next move. Juch was hard for him to read. Perhas it was his nature, or was it the closed eyes that he seemed to have? They said that the squishy ones used the eyes as the 'window to the soul', or so he had been told. "Are there any matters that you could use some help with?" It was an ernest question, though he supposed that he wouldn't be that much help to such a man.
Juch — 06/30/2023 11:25 PM
"I shudder to happen across a time where people wouldn't have much to think on," Juch responded as he moved away from the edge; no need to stand so close to the precipice. The urge to just fall down and down into the depths from a great height was something that would tempt him should he remain in that position, one that he didn't want to do.
However, it was an interesting way to view the concept of perfection. Perhaps in the truest sense of the word, it was simply unattainable. But that didn't mean that people shouldn't try to continue to push further. Juch followed the taller alien's finger towards the horizon, "I'll wait for that day too then, when Earth ascends further on the galactic stage."
Would that day really arrive? And would it be in the interest of Earth to even do so? No matter where the progress of the planet was, it seemed to be at the center of attention at the most inopportune of times.
As Juch pondered briefly about the queen that Nelgae mentioned, the ant's question caught him a little off guard. His movements were slow and deliberate however; should Nelgae choose to follow him, then he'll continue walking away from the cliff - otherwise, he'd just stand with his back facing the waters. The gentle breeze flowing through the air ruffled his hair as well as his scarf, but he remained a steadfast constant despite the changing tides as he considered the proposition. More help could always be useful and Nelgae had proven himself to be one who got things done. It was something that Juch did appreciate; he was a practical person, after all.
"I could always use some help, certainly."
"I can see you're one with many martial talents; and the saying goes, if you're good at something, you don't do it for free. Or perhaps," Juch looked back towards Neglae with those same smiling eyes, "you're offering out of the goodness of your heart?"
Rei — 06/30/2023 11:44 PM
Hah, Juch had more humor in him than last time. Perhaps it just took the android time to warm up to others? Well, Nelgae didn't really care to ponder on that thought. He tilted his head as he pondered on what n evolution on Earth was. As he saw it, every new creature in itself was that. Sometimes words came from his mandibles that not even he fully understood. Well, that was hardly something for him to worry too much on.
"Earth has ever drawn too much attention to itself," the Ant sighed. "Technology that attempts to get near Avalon and Damaskia, with bodies that have potential. Their power may not be high, but with weapons, they have been able to attain some measure of power." He hadn't been awake for over two hundred years for nothing. But he guessed it would take much longer than that to- huh?
Nel blinked as Juch turned from the waters that started to move away. The grey ant followed after him as he towered over the well-dressed android. It wasn't something like lock and step, he was just curious what else Juch had formed in this world. The questions that Juch offered him were met with a guttural...no, perhaps it was more like a true full body chuckle from the ant that had a guttural quality. Deep and unsettling.
"Payment can be arranged, depending on what it is that you wish for," the Ant said as he gave what...could probably be considered a grin. It could hard to tell without more humanoid features. The only clue was no malice in hia aura, and maybe the slightly narrowed eyes. He hadn't eaten a being from Kelioux before, so he was curious.
