Shell Mira Towa — Today at 1:02 PM
Unconciousness was not normal for the Namekian, but the strike from Whis at the end of the Battle Royale had knocked out the Guardian of Avalon and allowed the divine duo to take him away from that situation. Where exactly he was going? Shell was clearly not aware, but even in this state, his mind managed to transport his body to the Astral Realm. A white void was all it seemed to be to start. He wasn't sure where he was going here either.
Realizing he was not just dreaming and that his mind had sent him here after the tournament, he tried to focus on a specific location, hoping that it would help him manifest a location other than a void.
It took a moment, but slowly the scene came into play. The divine energy that had been flowing through him during the battle though was clearly messing with his control. The next thing he knew he was standing on an open field similar to that of the Cougan Plains, but the sky above was not Avalon. It was red, like the skies of Arlia and around him were buildings like those on Toffit.
Even as he tried to focus, nothing seemed to help. He just had to hope someone else would show up and give this place some guidance.
Rei — Today at 1:56 PM
Guidence was not exactly the Ant's strongest suit, but when he was called as he chewed on a meal, there was no helping it. He released a low sound like a sigh before he closed his eyes and was drawn away from the meal. What he entered, however, was not what he expected. The Klaxxi grunted as he looked around and saw Avalon, Arlia, and Toffit all mixed around and together.
He disliked this, so he drew down upon the area. Shell might even focus as he would have felt the wave of psychic power. It wasn't as overwhelming as most powerful benders, but he certainly had a knack for fear. It would have felt like a thousand isects crawled upon one's body, if even for just a moment. Instinctual fear, that was deep down. Or so Nelgae had been told. It might not even phase Shell or bypass his psychic barriers.
What it should have done, however, was shatter the Toffit buildings as he focused the sky and ground. It was an Arlian sky over the plains of Avalon. "This should do, yessss?" The bug chittered as he spoke and looked towards where the other seemed to be. Namekian, if he remembered correctly. If Shell wasn't hiding his power, then even the insectoid would know to at least be warry.
"Mmmm..." The mandibles moved, but if Shell paid enough attention, then he might likely hear that the sound wasn't from Nelgae's mouth, but more an exhale of hair from his whole body. "I am a former Champion of the Arlian ring, retired some two decades ago." There were many titles, too many to rattle off. "Would you prefer a name, or one of my nicknames?"
Shell Mira Towa — Today at 2:05 PM
A surge of psychic energy rained down from above. Shell was not sure exactly this was, but he only had one option. In his weakened and confused state he had to rely on his mental defenses. He felt bugs all around. Too many to do anything about almost as if he was in the middle of swarm of them. He was ready to explode with energy to remove them all, but then suddenly it stopped. The arlian sky remained, but the buildings of Toffit were gone.
The power of the Namekian was also still highly unstable. The fight he had in controlling the influences of the divine had certainly made him much worse off. The power that he showed was not near his max, but the surge of energy he was about to release had shown enough to alert anyone that he was likely a dangerous opponent. Especially with the strange fluxuations that were happening around him.
Then he heard a voice, a former champion of the Arlian ring. It had a tone that also sounded like this was maybe a native of that world. Shell wasn't sure, but he turned in the direction of the words and saw the alien before him.
"I can just call you champion," Shell said, still showing signs of exhaustion that were certainly not normal for him, "That is unless you have another name you would prefer to go by?"
The Namekian took a few deep breaths, trying to calm his mind a little more and focus his energy and power. Messing around in the realm of the gods had certainly influenced him in ways that he had never imagined. Now he felt almost vulnerable... That was concerning as well, because when he was vulnerable his energy was not always controllable by him.
"My name is Shell." He spit out between thoughts and deep breaths, "Sorry for my struggles. My body and mind aren't exactly acting normally."
Rei — Today at 3:14 PM
"Hmmm..." This was certainly something to ponder for the Arlian native. He was like a corner animal, in a way. Unpredictable, with an unstable reaction potential. The Klaxxi knight placed his hand up to where his mandibles were, as he guessed that this guy had touched the divine. He knew it better than most of this era, who had only more recently got into contact with it.
"Shell you say?" Nelgae had heard that name before. A sort of name for Grunts in the Planet Trade Organization. Run on Sight, if the order was correct in his mind. He wasn't told why, it was just to run on sight or knowledge that he was there. He was quite calm for someone that struggled to control their chi at the moment. "That's fine," he replied as he started to walk towards him.
The feeling of the bugs was gone, but once Shell realized that the Ant was not likely a normal Arlian, if this was not the Astral Realm... well, the bug kept any killing intent away from here. He was not keen to remove any heads at the moment. Besides it would be pointless here. The Klaxxi held out his arm from his nine foot frame towards the Namekian.
The multi-layered eyes of the Klaxxi glowed crimson before they died down again as he offered, "Take my hand or arm to steady yourself." If there was any chance to kill, it would have been now. But he didn't know if that was what he should try. It was better to gather intel if anything. He might be mostly guided by instinct, but that instinct also screamed at him to not be recklesss.
Shell Mira Towa — Today at 4:23 PM
Shell's instincts on most situations were what guided him the most. He relied on them and his control of his power to properly act and present himself. He lived with knowledge that he could control it, but after recklessly dealing in the power of the gods had caused a strange change to come over his normal senses.
The bugman offered help, but as Shell was about to take it suddenly the Namekian vanished from sight appearing a few hundred meters back from where he was and in the air. He began to fall towards the ground. Just before he hit though he stopped, moving into a floating position, but upside down.
The guardian moved his hand to his chin trying to figure out what had happened, "Well that was unexpected."
Even if the bug had ill intent or harmful thoughts, Shell would not have normally been worried. Not in this realm. He knew that if something happened unless it was divine he would be fine. Still that did not explain why his body had acted that way.
He turned himself right side up with what appeared to be much more effort than would have been normal for someone like him to have to use, "You have to forgive me. Clearly my powers are acting on their own as well."
He would have normally summoned a staff to balance himself, but he lacked confidence in his powers at this point. Instead he simply tried to keep his body from doing anything more crazy than it already had, "So, Champion of the Arialian Battle Arena. You look different than most natives of Arlia so I'm going to assume you are not one of them?" He waited for some kind of answer, "What made you such a grand champion?"
Rei — Today at 4:46 PM
"Former champion," Nelgae corrected, though not with a harsh tone or malice. That time had been useful, but ultimately, he had left that way of life behind. He had observed the movement of Shell's body, and concluded that even if Shell was not in the right state of mind, it was likely that his body acted on its own.
The Ant placed his hand on his chin area before he answered the question, "You could say that I'm a mutant Arlian. After all, my countrymen are usually beaten fairly easily by even novices these days." Now his time changed as the end of hits words was followed by a click sound, similar to a "tsk".
To his second question, the former champion took his hand off of his chin, "Likely the same answer. Unlike the majority of Arlian people, my strength is quite unique, along with my anatomy. Most Arlians don't look like ants fun Earth, do they?" Well, that wasn't the whole truth. His species were the ancestors of the Arlians. They were weak as an adaptation.
"So let me ask. Why are the powers of Shell going haywire in front of this Arlian?" He was sure that it was a mixture of reasons. But he did want to hear what he could be missing from the other's own mouth. At least while he wasn't so suspicious of the Ant.
Shell Mira Towa — Today at 4:52 PM
Shell listened and learned quickly to not call him champion but former champion. As this bugman explained somethings it caught the attention of the Guardian. Mutant Arlian, but he mentioned these days. Was he from another timeline? The master paladin had heard of such things before, but was this being part of an alternate timeline or was he just different?
As the words continued to come it eventually turned back to the Namekian and the question was rather straight forward and also a fair one to ask. Shell nodded his head, "Well I was just in an event that the God of Destruction and his Attendant took me to. In that event they used some divine power to influence my own power. I could create destructive energy like Lord Beerus and could move and act like his Attendant Whis. I'm not entirely sure why that was the case, but it made me dangerous to those around me."
He thought to what was happening during that event and the stress it put on his body, "I had to fight off accidently destroying someone or the planet I was on. In struggling with holding back their powers my own seem to have gotten out of whack." He said trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together, "The last thing I remembered was Whis knocking me out and now here I am with no control over my power."
Rei — Today at 5:06 PM
So, the divine still interfear in the affairs of mortals. The bug should have guessed that even now, there wasn't anything that they wouldn't- "Hmm? Did you say Beerus and Whis?" Obviously he didn't care about their titles or status. At least not here in the Astral Realm. But this was an interesting turn of events.
"In other words, instead of releasing the full posts granted to you, you are saddled with the responsibility to not kill it destroy, despite the lofty post hoisted onto you." It seemed a bit of amusement leaked through, but the bug held back more words. If Shell was connected to the current God of Destruction and his Attendant, the bug didn't want them coming to him. Too much of a mess to explain.
"Why don't you find a good spot in the universe and just... let it all out, then? I'm sure you'd know a planet or two with a skyline that would allow that." It was an offer, but Nel couldn't think of one. That said, he spent most of his time working or securing his next meal. Not exactly the best words od wisdom, but they were the best that he would offer.
Shell Mira Towa — Today at 5:17 PM
Shell smiled at what the former grand champion had said, "Well I actually sought them out in search of answers to my own problems. The power they gave me was simply a test to see what I could do and if I was worthy of their time I'm assuming."
The Namekian as much as his bloodline might have had something against the gods and the curse certainly kept him away from things, he did not hold a grudge. He understood what they were doing, protecting what they had created and clearly Shell's ancestor was a threat to that. It was understandable that they acted how they did. The fact that Beerus and Whis did not simply destroy him was a sign that they too did not hold a grudge... that or they did not know what powers were doormat in he and his other half.
"I think eventually things will stabilize, but for now clearly my body was not ready to have the power of the gods flowing in it." Shell thought for a moment, "But this is the astral realm and not the mortal realm. There, I believe I am still unconscious. I wonder if my power will be as out of control whenever I wake up?"
