Shell Mira Towa — Today at 1:03 PM
Protectorate business never stopped. Shell was constantly trying to handle what he could, but he had a much larger focus on the planet of Avalon than the dealings of the Protectorate. He was still invested in helping the Protectorate, but his goals had shifted slightly towards simply helping this world. The regrowth process had been successful for the most part and now he could obviously start to expand his focus.
It was hard though. He had seen amazing things from the Protectorate, but also seen a number of flaws as well. They were far from perfect, but honestly; so was he. He just had to decide how far into the political game to invest himself. That was clearly going to be a vital decision moving forward.
The positive thing though was that he had a number of strong allies within the Protectorate. Some he knew well and others he certainly did not, but he did trust. In this down time, he wanted to reach out to one of them and hoped that Yua would be available. He had worked with the Android a few times before and yet did not feel like he knew Yua well. That was the goal here. Start to build an alliance that even if he did not agree with all that the protectorate was doing, that he would have others he could trust.
Rei — Today at 2:02 PM
Yua had just about stood up from her chair, when another wave of the Atral Realm came for her. In some ways, she might have been annoyed about it, but there was something familiar about this. She just sat back down as the wave came over, and the android entered what seemed to be a void, or maybe it was not exactly black or white.
She snapped her finger to release a little bit of a wave so that they at least had something to stand on and more easily see each other. Her fellow General on Avalon, Shell. She smiled at him with her crimson hair that flowed about her head. She had on the chassis that she'd fought Joe with, instead of the one known as her General form, with white hair.
"Hey there, General Shell, it's been a while, hasn't it?" She grinned at him, as she wondered how he'd been. Though they were in a certain alliance of sorts together, they hadn't really spent any quality time with each other. The android had made a world for them that was quaint, if not simplistic. Because she had sensed that it was Shell, she created a quiet field on Namek for them to talk on. "I hope this is an okay venue for us?" She wasn't sure if he had bad memories from here or not.
Shell Mira Towa — Today at 2:13 PM
Shell gave a respectful bow as he was brought into the Astral Realm and now with the person he had wanted to see, "General Yua, it is a pleasure to see you once again. I hope all has been well with you."
The Namekian could tell the difference in style. Her body looked much more ready for combat than conversation and her hair showed a much more fiery side. He had known Yua in her General form for the most part, but had read in notes that she often could change that appearance to fit the situation. That was a rather cool trait to have and Shell certainly found it interesting.
"This place is fine." He always had concern with being on Namek, but in the Astral Realm he assumed it would be fine.
He looked around taking in the scene for a moment before he continued, "It has been awhile. Since we helped the RBC units. I have heard that things are turning out better for them after the guidance and aid that you provided."
Shell had concerns always about the RBC units due to the Galactic War and what he had seen on Namek, but he knew the idea behind them and also did not feel it was necessary for them to suffer. That was not the way of the protectorate or how he thought either.
Rei — Today at 3:26 PM
There was certainly something about Namek that he was not entirely comfortable with. But it wasn't like the android could ask about that. She closed her eyes a moment and then smiled as she created an Avalanian table and chairs for them. "I'm sorry for this style, but I'm not good at making Namekian style." She had tea that she could pour, but that wasn't usually an issue in this realm.
She sat down as she looked at him and nodded. "Yes, efforts have gone well with them. They are not entirely stabilized, but I get them what they need." It was likely not a great idea to let Shell know that she had pieces and bits from those units that used to comprise her body. Especially when she had first arrived on Avalon. That body still existed, though it was now a part of her main body, liquid metal.
"They are... have been... rather warry of us still. Not that I can blame either side," she added. It was hard not to symphonize with them, especially when she had felt a lot like them in the past. "I hope you have been well, as well?" It wasn't like Yua hadn't seen the public information about Shell, but she didn't like to pry without knowing how the other felt.
The android General decided that she should be a little forward. "I am a mystery to most on Avalon, I'm sure. Unlike most android units, I'm not hooked up to anything in the Avalanian or Paladin networks, after all." It was a sense of freedom, but one that many units were afraid of. Without purpose, many units that were made to have them were aimless. They couldn't function well without it. In such a sense, Yua was a true enigma. They would have to rely on reports and Yua's self reporting for them to know her location. But she even broke the rule for artificial intelligence: she could harm life.
Shell Mira Towa — Today at 4:32 PM
Shell never wanted to allow himself to look vulnerable. He had many concerns and things going on behind the scenes as well as person questions that he was seeking answers to. Some of those would lead him eventually to a battle royale, but he did not know that. All he knew was he was questioning a large number of things lately. At the very top of that was his own purpose. He knew the threat to the Universe his power might have had if merged with his other half. Still he wanted to know more and know how to stop that from ever happening. He only wanted peace; one way or another.
"I've been keeping busy, but as most I have my own things going on." He said with his normal calm demeanor.
That was when Yua shared a little bit about herself. It certainly made sense considering what happened before when AURORA tried to establish herself for communications. Shell smirked a little hearing that, "Yeah, I have spoken with AURORA about just invading peoples communications like she did before. I have to assume based on your unique status that had to be alarming to you." He knew it would have been to him as well. He just had let the AI do its thing before, but knew he had to keep it more obvious on what was happening moving forward. Lessons learned or at least he hoped that was the case.
Rei — Today at 4:57 PM
Own things. That was likely an understatement. Shell was fairly reserved, but then again, most with power kept their cards close to their breast in order to keep information or weaknesses hidden. Yua was honestly no different. She gave him a bit of knowing smile.
"Sorry if I was harsh back there. Sudden attempts to connect to me would be like someone trying to invade your mind," she explained. A bit like prying into one's most inner thoughts. Yua had carefully cultivated her secrets and knowledge. If she were to reform the Paladin order, she needed to keep her cards away from the dealer- Avalon and its Paladin Order's eyes.
"I hope one day, you can come to reply on me for something. I may be lacking in many ways, but I'm at least confident in my ability to lend an ear and keep information confidential." Though that last part usually wouldn't have been best to trust to an android, Yua's flaw was also a strength. Though she didn't share information with Avalon, all that she had stayed with her. Ask the dirty and clean secrets included.
Shell Mira Towa — Today at 5:09 PM
Shell did enjoy getting to know others. It was one of the reasons he strived for peace and fought for so many that he did not know. Being on Namek in his youth, his people did tend to seclude themselves from others. Now that he was out and about in the Universe without even being able to return to his home world without something bad happening there he found that desire to know others grow even that much more.
"I do need to be better about relying on others. It is certainly not something I am good at doing. Shell said very matter of fact in what he said, "My power and my background leaves me concerned for hurting others around me. I'm half of a whole and my other half is certainly as much of a danger to those around me as I hope to be a benefit." The Namekian did not normally opening share things, but he could tell that Yua was also attempting to form a bond of sorts and he knew he had to share, she had already done the same.
"The power is also a curse to Namek. If I go there, bad things tend to happen." He sighed deeply, "It is hard to know you have another half that can harm those you care about and also that you can't return to the world you were raised on. I have grown fond of Avalon, but I have fought so hard for it, because I know my other half could return from hiding at any moment."
Rei — Today at 5:42 PM
So, it was a trauma inflicted. Yua didn't know much about this other half thing. She didn't gather any information of it when that was her only task. But it certainly sounded like a heavy burden. "So a reflection." Rather crude, but she couldn't think of another way to put it.
Not only that, it was an inverse of Shell. But at the same time, did that mean that it was different from him? Or did they have the same goal, but different ways to see that goal through? But more importantly, the android thought that perhaps Shell sought comrades for confronting this shadow Shell.
She then thumped her chest and grunted, "Well, if that guy appears on Avalon or Namek, just let me know. I'll help you out in a pinch." Even if she couldn't fight that thing directly, Yua could probably get people to safety.
