Yua VS Delyth
Clusters of alien fruits dangled from the branches, each one resembling a translucent orb pulsating with vibrant colors. The quick snap sounded away as Delyth picked off the last one, placing it in the basket before wiping her brow, "...phew," she breathed as she leaned against the beaten truck.
It was time to head back. She was about to press the ignition when something fell out of her pocket; a gleaming gem of sorts - oh right, she did get this back at the bazaar.
It seemed to call to her; Delyth's eyes felt woozy as the world turned black; when she woke up again, she sat up with a huff, "...oh, this place again," the girl exhaled. She seemed to be on a floating island of sorts.
Rei — 06/29/2023 11:19 PM
Yua mediated in her room, in what could have been said to be a bubble of metal. Earthlings would have said that this resembled a certain black-clad space wizard had sat on. She was in a state that her psychic energy flared when called.
Though she didn't intend it she was pulled from her body's rest as she was yanked into the dimension for spats. When she landed, it seemed that the Paladin landed in an island that floated.
Yes. In. Her body was stuck on the ground as her eyes narrowed as she grunted, "Damnit." The android floated up with a violent upheaval as dirt and grass landed around her.
"Embarrassing," she muttered as her scanner warned her that there was someone here. Her crimson eyes flashed towards that herself as the casually dressed Yua tilted her head curiously. "Hello," she said with a slight smile.
Juch — 06/30/2023 10:16 PM
Delyth slowly stood up from the ground. Almost nervously, she approached the edge of the island, peering down below; all she could see was the vast expanse of clouds - and nothing else. A shiver crawled up her spine as the girl stepped away.
Only to let out a high pitch scream at sudden plumb of dirt exploding outwards; teetering close to the edge, she swung her arms around and managed to stabilize herself; she swiveled her head to see what was...
The cloud of soil shot up into the air, burying Delyth within its grasp. Coughing, the girl brushed off what she could as she looked over.
A person?
She seemed friendly at least - but definitely she seemed to belong more on the city streets rather than in this weird place, "...hey," Delyth wiped the front of her overalls, "You okay? That looked like a nasty fall."
Rei — 06/30/2023 10:36 PM
"Fall?" Yua tilted her head as she waved her hand and removed the dirt from her new companion before she realized that their meeting was...uh...strange. The android smiled a bit weakly then as she replied, "No, I just uh. Messed up my entrance. I metalized in the island, rather than on."
It wasn't like this sort of thing was new to her. Unlike some psychics, Yua was more used to the more physical side of it. It made more sense to move objects with one's abilities. Since she was a computer, the mind was not really a very familiar concept with her.
Her new friend seemed to be a bit of a stray cat, though. She must have some power, enough to at least be able to use the Gem. Yua decided that she's just introduce herself, "I'm Yua." Though the other was likely not looking for it, there would be signs on Yua. She was advanced as an android, with multiple different organizations that had willingly- and unwillingly- given her their technology. Damaskian, Avalanian, Earthing, and maybe there was some PTO tucked away somewhre. Taken from the time of the Steel Legion- there was even a bit of that. "May I know your name?" The golden eyed android asked.
Juch — 06/30/2023 10:49 PM
"Materialized? You can do that?" the Damaskian scratched her head, realized that she was just getting dirt in her hair, only to doubly realize that her hair was covered in dirt anyways, so it didn't really matter, "That's neat - sounds a bit dangerous though."
The other girl introduced herself as Yua; she had really pretty eyes. As the light danced upon the surface of these golden gems, it revealed a myriad of intricate details. The irises, encased within a halo of rich amber, were adorned with delicate flecks of topaz and copper, giving the impression of an ancient tapestry woven with the finest threads of molten metal. They seemed to possess an ethereal quality, as if each flicker of light brought forth a kaleidoscope of ever-changing patterns, like the shifting sands of a desert dune or the ripples upon a tranquil lake. "My name's Delyth. But uh, where are we? Is this the astral realm place thingie?"
Rei — 06/30/2023 10:57 PM
Yua blinked before she giggled and nodded her head. "Yes Delyth, this is the Astral Realm. Ususally the first one that comes here shapes what the ones who arrived meet in or on. A city, a place to get away, or even a place for combat." Yua nodded before she placed a sword on the ground- it had seemed to drip from her palm like liquid metal. In fact, it was.
"Worry not, Delyth. I don't think you have any intensions to fight with me." Not that the other could sense out her battle strength. Or really any life force at all. As Yua leaned against the sword, she tilted her head. "I guess you wanted a little break, huh? Working hard, don't forget to take breaks. It won't do for you to get a sick body because of that."
Juch — 06/30/2023 11:34 PM
"C-Combat?" the girl all but squeaked, her expression squirming underneath the layer of soil that she hadn't fully removed; she nearly took a step back at the sight of the strange blade that literally oozed out from her hand, only to thankfully remember that she'd fall down.
She did learn how to fly now, but it wasn't something that she wanted to test with. So, Delyth breathed a sigh of relief when Yua seemed to ease any semblance of tensions. Street thugs was one thing, but drippy metal swords were something that Delyth didn't want to tangle with! So far, it didn't seem like the girl had caught on yet to Yua's nature, but it was most likely that she didn't even think about sensing powers yet.
"Yeah, I've only been here like...once, twice before? It was snowy the last time I came here, and now this is different again. I was originally just finishing up my chores, but decided to take a little nap - and yeah, here I am."
"But thanks," she gave an appreciative smile, "it ain't work that I'm not used to, but you're right."
"What about you, then? Were you also looking for a break?"
Rei — 06/30/2023 11:53 PM
Androids of her type weren't usually given breaks. Yua was not hooked up Avalon's network however, so she could do so, even if it was more like she just compartmentalized what information that she had. Advanced as she was, sometimes it was good to tuck that data away when the android wasn't learning more and more. Humanity's emotions and ways was not a big part of her before. It was...complicated.
"Mmm. The Astral Realm is quite useful to martial artists. Since it drags people at random, you probably want to be careful," Yua said with a smile. "Some people you meet won't be as nice as myself." She then thought a bit about Delyth and if she had seen this girl somewhere. Well, she didn't think so. She seemed more like a civilian than a warrior, so why did she have a Gem of this type on her.
She was pulled from those thoughts when the girl asked her another two questions, though they could be answered simply, "I was taking a small break of my own. When my body and mind relax as they are, it's more likely for me to be drawn to the Astral Realm." She nodded her head before she tapped the side of her face, "So, I guess you are a farmer?" Was it the overalls? She wondered, as she added, "You don't have to answer if you don't want to."
