Nelgae VS Juch
Juch took a quick glance over his schedule. Tonight...well, it would be best to convert it into a more standardized format, but indeed, tonight would work for him. Galactic standard time, "Then, let's say 6 pm GST? Would you be able to make that?"
Nier did have a good head on her shoulders though, fitting for her position.
Rei — Yesterday at 10:54 PM
"That'll be perfectly fine, Mr. J!"
Though Juch thought that Nier had a good head on her shoulders, he'd be in for a shock when he saw her. The girl didn't dress up too much, but she did understand that there were appearances to keep up. She added a frill here or there, but her master? The same as always, just he shrink himself to a more respectable one abs a half meters tall.
When the two got to the street, he looked around for a moment to make sure that they were at the right spot.
Juch — Yesterday at 11:12 PM
"Cheers," with a click, the call had ended.
It wasn't a long trip to Cactaylisma, the planet of the unending day. However, it appeared that he had arrived just a little later than they did.
As he entered the town, he was greeted by a quaint, tree-lined street adorned with shimmering crystals that seemed to reflect the light from the dual suns above. While the place was just as seedy as many of the places on Cactaylisma, it was certainly a little more colorful.
Waving his hand, Juch approached Nier and Nelgae with a smile, "You made it," he spoke, taking a glance at Nier's outfit before reaching out for a handshake to both of them, "Trip went well?"
Rei — Yesterday at 11:36 PM
"Yup yup!" Nier looked...perhaps smaller than Juch would have thought. Twelve, thirteen at the most. Nel and the girl were such a strange pair. But they looked better with Juch. After all, he was dressed up a bit. Well, at least it looked that way to her. She wasn't really sure, as the girl placed a finger on her lips. It wasn't a shush, more like she carefully observed the android. After all, she had not seen him on the video side of their calls, just heard him through the speakers.
They both took his hand, as the bug had even taken any spikes that usually showed away. He nodded his head and replied, "Looks like you made it well, J." He wondered if they should ask be careful here. "Are you still J here?"
Juch — Yesterday at 11:57 PM
At the very least, Nel attracted a bit less attention with his shrunken form; as for Nier, her cheeriness shone through even now. However, Juch did put a finger on his lips as Nelgae asked about his name, "Indeed, I would prefer for it to remain as such. Come, let's head inside."
Inside the tavern, the android was immediately engulfed by a whirlwind of noise and commotion. The air vibrated with the sound of boisterous conversations, clinking tankards, and the occasional roar of laughter that erupted from the patrons. Live music set the scene, with jeers and boos mixed in with the performances.
However, a quick nod from Juch to the barkeep led them to a quieter corner of the establishment, "You two even been to Cactaylisma before?"
Rei — Today at 12:32 AM
Nier giggled about Nel's question, as she had already guessed the answer. But she grinned as she dragged her master’s hand, "Yes, Mr. J!" Of course, Nier was older than she looked, but that didn't deduct from the way that she spoke. Something else to note was that no matter how her hair moved, no human- like ears showed. To Nel, this didn't matter.
Inside, the whole place tumbled and rolled with the cacophony of noise that rolled around. Luckily Nel's recent evolution made it possible for this to but effect him as much. His eyes looked around a moment before he was dragged by Nier towards where Juch went.
"My first time!" That was Nier.
"I've been here a few times," the former Champion said. "After I quit the ring, this was the third planet I visited, I think..." His mandibles clicked as he thought for a moment.
Juch — Today at 1:56 PM
"First time for Nier, then welcome, welcome," Juch chuckled as he sat down, "It's a bit more rowdy than what I would like, but I think it encapsulates the essence of what you may expect here rather well - without the whole 'murder' aspect."
It didn't take long for messy tankards of beer to be slammed down at their table, alongside a plate with slabs of lizard meat. Foam spilled over the edges, trickling down the sides of the tankards - they dribbled down, silently spreading out on the surface of the furniture. The table itself was a sturdy, worn piece of wood, adorned with etchings and scratches from countless past encounters. Its surface was marred with rings and stains, testament to the merriment and revelry that had transpired upon it over the years. Meanwhile, the aroma of charred flesh filled the air, mingling with the smoky scent of the tavern. The Grug lizard meat glistened with succulent juices, cooked to perfection over an open flame. Each slab was substantial, which wasn't surprising, given the size of the monstrous creatures that roamed the planet.
The waiter, a burly and tattooed fellow with a mischievous glint in his eye, had an air of jovial - albeit silent - impudence. He gave Juch a thumbs up before wiping his hands haphazardly upon the towel that hung limp on his hip. The android returned his gesture with a small nod; he'll be back to take their orders later, if they wanted anything else specifically. No matter what, however, Nelgae required meat and so that was there in abundance.
"You've been here before, Nelgae? Then you're familiar with the Star Wolves?" Juch tilted his head before turning to Nier, handing her a rather worn down menu dotted with grease spots, "Anything catch your fancy, you may order."
Rei — Today at 5:29 PM
Nelgae nodded his head to Juch's statement, before he let out a little sound. Juch would recongize it as a chuckle, as would Nier. But it would almost sound like his mandibles clicking- just higher pitched. It was the eyes, slightly narrowed, that gave it away. Nier, for her part, tilted her head. "The only planet I've known is Frieza-Sei and whatever planet we went to to find your package."
Nel placed a hand on his head before he looked back at the tankards and the meat that was given. He was familiar with the usual fare, and this would be fine for a start. As a former arena fighter, he was used to this type of alcohol. "I'm familiar with the Star Wolves since I've been forced to deal with their ships as well," he stated, as he reminded him, "I was around for the Steel Legion war."
Nier, of course, looked at the menu with facination as she was used to the kind of food that Nel would get for her. These were a lot less healthy, but that in itself was a treat. Probably just the usual kind of kid's pub fare. For Nelgae, however, he ordered several of their highest meat-oridented dishes. "Will you be eating, J?" The real question behind that was "can or do you normally eat?"
