The synthetic life form awaited something to react to Saiyan may not comprehend that more cows with their young stripped from them did react emotionally and showed reactions to pain an awareness however small clearly was there and capacity to suffer and feel deprived, when their children are stripped from them, not just operate with mild detached awareness of the now.
“Yes many ways to make non-animal byproduct milk, and blend them together and flavor them like the Neapolitan ice cream, good stuff however beyond a database of details my food centered data is dwarfed by my data on how to operate a brewery and create or refine drinks.”
The android floated in place with his arms behind his back joined low on his back loosely/ casually.
“The protectorate branch I serve operates under sustainability concepts. We give civilizations the means and training to defend themselves so that we can supplement them with trade and other non aggressive aid until circumstances take violent turns beyond their capacity to combat.” he gave what could be seen as a bit of organizational supported reason to train with other races. “And tho I lament actual conflict, I have to admit that I do enjoy friendly contests. And being a mechanical entity it is harder to unintentionally total me, and I have data feeds of high grade diagnostics smart scans of a target to keep me from doing lasting damage to others. I would be delighted to engage you in a practice bout.”
He let his arms fall to the sides of himself, “my training style did away with weaponry skills to make my own body and ki emulating systems my weaponry. I shall demonstrate with one of the latter” his body began to glow as his systems climbed to his max general output without the system regulators or tapping the secondary or tertiary cores. His body glowed through seams in his armor, concentrating in his neck, revealing patterns in his throat of wiring pulsing with neon power.
His mouth opened as nano robots in his mouth turned their function to focusing lenses and joined energy into the center of his mouth, a ring behind the ball formed and fired the sphere like a cannon the size of a soft ball at Nappa’s chest.
A power higher than 500k but with his TK shielding, so hopefully in combo with saiyan armor could take the blow easier. Granted it would still hurt like him using a rubber bullet would still be traveling at high speed with high impact
If his internal calculations were correct, it would be sufficient to give a decent sampling of his power. The move he figured Nappa may recognize in spite of the differing medium, it was generated the all general mouth blast intended for an isolated target. Would be a shame to damage the area around.

As Vlad spoke, the Saiyan warrior readied himself, feeling the energy charge in the air between them. It was a bit odd to him to learn that the android’s systems had him avoiding any use of weapons - personally, Nappa had chosen not to pick up a weapon, but in his head, it didn’t seem to make much sense for a robotic creature to not utilize their technological capabilities to their fullest by utilizing... well, more technology.
He shrugged it off. It was hardly his problem, and whatever decisions Vlad had made(or someone else had made for him) didn’t seem to be having any ill effect on his ability to protect the people he cared about and serve the Avalon Protectorate properly.
The glow of brilliant light coming from the open maw of his now friendly combatant got the Saiyan ready to fight; while something about the energy seemed off, he couldn’t properly place what about it was different in the moment; it looked well enough like Ki to him, and figured he could treat it the same.
As the blast of Ki shot out of Vlad’s maw, Nappa planned on knocking it away with his arm, easily Deflecting it. He started with his arms in an X position over his chest, but quickly pushed his arms outward, trying to time it so that the back of his arm would hit the blast just before it hit him. And so it did.
However, the problem arose when the Ki made contact with him. He tried to shove against it, but the power coming off that simple attack was absolutely awesome. Instantly, he began to feel sweat bead on his forehead, as he couldn’t move the arm; it was all he could do to wrestle the Ki blast to a standstill. He used his other hand after a moment, propping up his strong arm with his weaker one, and it allowed him to slowly, slowly move the attack away from him.
Several agonizing seconds later, he managed to (in slow motion, of course) fling the ball of energy upward, sending it rocketing towards space. There was a second where all the Saiyan could do was pant, and feel the throbbing on his arm that would surely become a bruise by the next day.
“That... that was insane!”
Flying towards the android, figuring that he clearly couldn’t match him in Ki if the android was packing that kind of power, Nappa tried to aggressively headbutt Vlad. In most circumstances, a person probably wouldn’t try to headbutt a robotic creation like this, knowing how the metal would clang against their head, but Nappa had been known for having a hard head since early childhood, and had taken advantage of this face several times to great effect.
Hopefully, that same idea would hold true still. Word Count: 479 Total Word Count: 479

The synthetic gleamed confusion in his new friend's mind. Suppose it was the focusing on fisticuffs vs being a tireless weapon wielder, or walking gun show, the ladder he could still assure nappa later his body as a weapon did have a good few armaments, but he looked at his faithless gauntlets and thought yeah the spike is all he needed as a tool, an extension of himself.
The android Vlad awaited his partner’s reaction and was happy to see his reaction to the technique handled as he suspected it could be a saiyan no doubt dealing with foes that use themselves in various ways as their weapon systems. A simple technique that even untrained giant monkey transformation state can use, granted the android’s shot was a charged bullet vs the rocket that those states typically use the blast as.
The android watched the successfully redirected blast go up and smack an orbiting stone the size of a small house explode in space and shower with pebbles a mini meteor shower above and he gave a thumbs up to both nappa and the 10 second light show they made as the debris harmlessly incinerated in atmosphere.
“Suppose I do not need weaponry when I am my own walking armory.”
Vlad readied himself against nappa who indeed chose a most unorthodox approach to an entity that was made of metal and any number of material to counter blunt force trauma. A headbutt on a clearly helmeted and metal armored target even headbutting in the mouth or nose would be likely not the best choice knowing that the silicon face and under-layer of musculature was over at lightest a plate of star ship grade aluminum that could survive a 50 cal shot in space hit at near warp speed.
Point being, Vlad concluded the saiyan spirit was strong in nappa, no quit or bend to the stance against even a mightier foe.
The android let his gloved hand settle on nappa’s head, intercepting it, but Vlad flew back a bit momentum above projections not only fully committing to the headbutt but one that clearly knew how to do it not just rely on saiyan safer bone structure/ ki natural atonement but one who knew ow to further get the most out of the blow without head trauma on his end, impressive, fully committed. Some may think it was brain damage to know you face a humanoid robot and think any form of fleshy blow on it was a good idea. But saiyans were curse or blessing, a race of warriors that would not back down to any natural, artificial/synthetic, otherworldly force that they decided they would scrap with.
A subtle deformation in his hand showed on the impact zone and a slight error as a series of joins flashed a yellow tinted green to shock absorbers along the impact zone with the skull
<hmm not bad> thought the synthetic entity as he then shoved the head with impressive force, internal instruments calculating the requirements with hi power to force the organic on a back-foot for a counter kick to the gut. He would then attempt to execute it by an aggressive shove before sending a kick if went to plan nappa would not have time to recognize the strike or brace himself, but again the android blanketed his foot in telekinetic barriers so it did not truly inflict injuries doubly so for ki seemed dependent on the body bracing itself against an oncoming attack to minimize injury. If the attack went as planned that bracing would be highly unlikely, but he wanted a friendly contest that would still give him a look how a defender of his type would rather engage a fight this unit preferred to fight, reactive steel walling, using his robotic nature to his advantage both in tireless persistence and internal measurement systems that in many cases outstripped the unreliability of organic entities raw intuition.
Fiber optic nerves, composite metal bones bio-mimetic cable muscles reinforced by space grade aluminum and carbon synthetic nano fibers, actuators and hydraulics springs and other elements that did not share an organics' susceptibility to fatigue. “Is this a good friendly bout, giving you a good idea to fighting an android? I can only speak for my own branch as if you met my general Dusk Newmen she would show her approach is quite diametrically opposed to me, I prefer to steel wall and buy time, I fear growth of power to hold onto my ethics. There is no pause to Dusk, she is a digitized consciousness in an android body and uses that to relentlessly offense with her sword gauntlets.” he deployed his spikes that if nappa were a fan of earth games or seen the media of it would look like mass effect’s omni-blades in hard light gauntlets.
“Her gauntlets have long sword sized blades of molecule thin blades that still show when she holds them up to a foe. I prefer to let my foes ultimately become tired and force errors on their part. She would just keep the pressure on and speed going faster and faster and faster until the guard failed and then use her bionics to make surgical cuts at insane speeds, taking arms and legs out of a fight. I am but one style of both my kind and my faction. Hope you are enjoying all the same.”

There was a moment of quiet nervousness, as Nappa rocketed forward, but soon his forehead made contact with the android’s midsection, and powerfully, too. He’d sent his foe flying through the air with the force of his headbutt; hopefullly, I winded him, too, Nappa thought to himself.
He hadn’t been eager for anything like this in a while. Being able to possibly impress Vlad had him toothily grinning, not even realizing that what he’d hit felt nothing like a stomach. A moment later, reality came rushing back to show him just how flawed he’d been, as he felt Vlad’s stomach cup his head -- cup my head?! -- and his fingers firmly gripped the sides of it.
He had a split second to realize he had headbutted the Avalonian’s hand before the Saiyan could feel the pushback. Vlad’s hand shoved Nappa away with the same kind of force on his skull running down his spine that he typically felt when training in a gravity chamber; however, he was still horizontal. This wasn’t an elemental force pressing on him, but his combatant.
He could feel Vlad’s hand move; he readjusted to hold Nappa down at the shoulders. Was he about to get tossed? He wasn’t about to go out that easily! Quickly, he thought up a plan to flip himself over, using his tail as a--
Pain.
Snot.
Heartbeat -- his heartbeat, pounding in his ears.
Bright light splashed in the Warrior’s eyes, and tears started to leak as he was suddenly gasping, a blinding pain hitting him in that sensitive spot just below the ribcage. Had he been punted, like a... like a sports ball? He couldn’t help but admire the simplicity of it, but even as he struggled to catch his breath, he had to admit his childhood temper was starting to flare up again; someone had gotten one over on him, badly, and he didn’t like it.
He shook his head a little, in the same manner that a puppy would try to shake water from its ears, and continued to blankly take in the ground for a beat, almost as if time had slowed down, and he wasn’t still in a sparring match.
Man... he thought, a lightbulb going off in his head almost bright enough to hide his shame at getting so thoroughly outclassed, I’d heard tell about some guys becoming cyborgs and getting stronger, and if Vlad was any indication, I might have to look into some kind of cybernetic augmentation. That was... strong.
“Is this a...”
”What?” Nappa muttered, his nose still dripping. He lifted his head up and listened to the rest of what Vlad announced, wiping his face with the under-armor garment he had on and managing to catch his breath by the end of it. ”Yeah, no, this is great practice! I’m not usually concerned about weapon users, but if she’s willing, I could get some prac...”
Oh, no. Vlad had no intention of introducing them just yet, Nappa realized. Two glowing spikes, as red as glowing magma, began to slide smoothly out of Vlad’s gauntlets. He’d hardly feel comfortable calling the blunt instruments on the android’s arms “swords,” but it definitely got the point across.
He didn’t immediately rush in, though, choosing instead to acknowledge the differences between his ‘weapon,’ and General Newman’s. ”Oh, I think I get it,” Nappa said after listening patiently for a few more minutes. ”So... she’s kind of a Death-By-A-Thousand-Cuts type of warrior, and you’re more of a tank, holding the line and being able to take any offense that might be brought to you without going down.”
The faint throbbing in his abdomen made a bit more sense now; he’d basically ran headlong into a brick wall... and the brick wall had fought back. Nappa was still building his defensive capabilities, which was probably why this had winded him so much.
”I promise you, I’m having the time of my life right now.” He wasn’t lying; even despite the fact he was angry about losing, and in a decent amount of pain for a sparring match, he was loving it. The pain, in some kind of situationally combat-themed way, Nappa had long since learned that he and many other Saiyans were masochists.
He was ready to come back for more.
”I guess I’ve never fought someone as strong as you before now,” he’d admitted, rubbing the bald skin on the back of his neck sheepishly, ”except maybe the Quartermaster on Valhalla. But typically, people who know my fighting style have called me a ‘Glass Cannon,’ and I usually don’t really even have to tank hits like this. My opponents are typically the ones needing to have strong defenses.”
”If for no other reason than giving me this wakeup call, thank you,” he sincerely said. Having had this fight, Nappa had come to the realization that he would have to put much more effort into his defenses, because even though he felt in his bones - and was always told by his betters - that his strength was exponential in growth, he wouldn’t always be the toughest guy in the room, and he had to know how to take a hit, too, if he was gonna stay alive.
”Now,” he said, allowing the aura on his body to suddenly stop cold, ”Let’s see what those can do.” He inclined his head to Vlad’s... spikes? Hammers? Dull dual-wielded swords?
Whatever they were, a moment later Nappa’s clear-white aura was back, but only on his arms, and glowing about twice as intensely as it had before.
He wasn’t sure if that would be enough protection for his hands - everything else Vlad had done in this bout had made Nappa feel woefully inadequate, after all - but he was willing to try. Rushing at the android, arms up at chest level, the Saiyan attempted to use his own forearms like blunt object weapons, having them both close in on Vlad from opposite ends in the same style as a swordsman holding two blades attempting to slice his opponent in the middle with both weapons simultaneously. Nappa was resilient and adaptive, a saiyan as true as the blood in his veins, clearly. Perhaps a tad uncommon in how his desire to learn could be seen as, but some saiyans were scholars if they did not make the cut in the army or simply disagreed with the ethical priorities of the king.
Vlad met many an odd entity, a changeling with a moral code such to oppose PTO? A demon that behaved like a decent, good intended child? Saiyan scientists sufficient to build androids? Vlad encountered them all “her weapons are like mine, clawed gauntlets, but where mine are thick and broad spikes hers are long blades with finer than scalpels surface area.”
Vlad reviewed how he put the descriptor to Dusk’s style. It was true that she would unrelentingly lay into a pristine defense, but it was not quite the core of her style, the function was to gauge the tier of the guard for exploits then show them with a surgeon style. “If you hold an unyielding guard, she will test it like razor wind. Unfortunately for her targets an opening shows quite allot and the true nature of her style comes out, she is not a shallow cutter but a surgeon, each opening exploited with devastating intent. Eyes being targeted where the arms nerve functions targeted heels with kicks. I often wondered why paladins would permit those that take on the pirate side profession into the order, she cleared it up for me, it is less taking up any type of morality of the wolves but their relentless objectivity in battle, honorable battle is kept to honorable settings, tournaments, regulated arenas, that stuff, when in the wild she fights like a wolf, fights like a fighter in the yard where survival to carry the mission is priority 1, those who warrant kindness were likely not to be found on a battlefield opposing a paladin. When she told me that, I understood how one separates the fighting style from the morality. She would rather I let you meet her on Avalon then show how she conducts herself in the badlands but safe to say when she is called in to remind the bad land bandits of the price of becoming too bold, gang structures are forced to make a lot of changes of their top brass with all the new handicaps. I more ascribe to her brother, Dawn’s defensive style and the protection. She is inspiring and terrifying with her if you cut the limbs off the threat it can do little it could before as a threat ending a fight surgically and in a blitz target the leader and knock them prone the faster, the better. A paladin’s job is never over boons of a tireless body to see to all the needs of those around you and end those that would threaten when they make the mistake of crossing virtuous civilization lines those are some of the things she coaches”
“My data suggests my student EP-3 is trying to blend both my style with hers, with her shield and weapon style building an unyielding guard and yet speed to bring a threat low quicker than my style. I am touched my student seen such warriors in her time but still seeks to keep my defensive style, expanding it with her shield that I trusted to her, she may get a new blade, axe, hammer, baton, or even whip to pear with her shield, but she intends to keep the shield I gave her to be that which will be her symbol “
“Do you have any superiors you may disagree with the approach of but still respect? Or fellow warriors that look up to you, hope you will take them under your wing? I must say you will never feel worthy, I know I don’t, my combat record is more a bouncer than a great warrior, I obstruct for a time, but I never got into fighting that was real animosity, it is not my style and rather help people. EP3 may not take that long to become my better in combat when she catches up to me, or I entrust my power to her. She respects me for my heart and that is what drew her to me, but she knows the kind of warrior she wants to be and where to sharpen herself more than I, she may well overtake me as a fighter when her power comes. Rest assured, she may respect what drives me forward and my heart, but her potential has me feeling privileged to have been the force that drew her out of her chambers upon gaining sentience. I think every mentor pines for the day that they are eclipsed. That they give to the future a champion that carries elements of them and more.”
Vlad shook his head and laughed a bit. “Listen to me, such a sentimental machine, let us start round two”
Vlad passed his will into the spike, and it became knuckle dusters and the color changed to mid morning sky blue. No doubt hard light so it was originally white, so it altered with the AIs needs and desires “faithless claws got them on an away mission and have been using them as my symbol, faithless as my oath sticks to people not deities. We are in this soup together and we can help each other. That is why I, a member of an organization called the paladins tho on a secular branch so less odd, wield faithless gauntlets. Let's get round 2 going, friend”
He let the momentum of the attack meet his rear arms, predictive models mapping nappa’s approach and setting his arms to meet them. As the sword breaker frame upgrades to the gauntlet caught the strikes, the pulsing light flickered a bit. Indeed, nappa knew how to make the most of his lower power momentum to add force to blows that might alone could not break. Unfortunately Vlad stood on the tail end of becoming a king of the sky in the infamous gravity well of a planet so momentum and powerful speeds were things he could manage.
“Fantastic form and countermeasures on the disadvantage in power between us, if this frame was not literally made for battle and to be about as fast in action as my brain is at thinking up courses of action I would be in a tough back foot. Just so you know, there are other paladins and androids that could make me a meager warm-up for them. No matter how big a fish you become, always going to be bigger. If you take anything away from this apart from a potential cross organization friendship, let it be that Nappa.” He was curious now nappa had an opening how would the saiyan use it now that he diverted the android’s arms from blocking what he may do next, tho Vlad did have quite high speed “never let the presence of greater power detour you from what you are determined to put your spirit into. I never did. Hehe and I am 100% robotic.” he joked
