Sitka
Soul stumbled over his words, quickly trying to take a step back from whatever he accidentally eluded to. She smiled at this, but her head tilted at the end.
“Peers?” she asked, her tone sincerely questioning, but not in a hopeful way. It wasn’t quite condescending either, but Sitka had a way about her. She was sociable and aloof at the same time, keeping an absent distance from him as an adult might a child. Well, probably not as low as child. Adolescent? She had a demeanor of maturity, and eyes that spoke of vast life experience.
Maybe not as a scholar though.
She looked away at that with an absent hum as if that could be a possibility but it was a bit like a mom going back to school.
“At the end of the day,” she said in her slow way, as if building the tension to her next words, “it won’t be me that decides.“
She looked back to him with an air of mischief before tucking her hands behind her back and looking out to the crowd again. “See anyone you know?”

Soul digested her words as they came, unable to help himself of analyzing it over and over again in his habitual way of overthinking born of anxiety and hope. A question in response to what he said, the inflection in her voice leading nowhere to helping him gain perspective on her views or frame of mind. Was it a poker face, or the way she truly was? A hum followed, then a phrase that was just as aggravating as the rest of what she said as she remained aloof and on the fence.
Is it up to me, Soul wondered, yet didn't ask it. She'd probably expect a response from him and he felt like had already done so a few times...or did he overthink that? Too hard to tell. Her next question was gladly a topic change, and his response was to bring his eyes down from the Sky and look at the crowd of featureless people that passed them by, picking one at random to examine. He knew they had a face, and hair, and had the features of...
Just like before, however, the information he went to reach for flitted from his cognitive understanding much like how successful he would be if he tried to grab a strand of sunlight from the air. He shook his head lightly, and sighed.
"No, no one. I don't know why." A pause followed as he toyed around with the thought of asking her, and then he did; "Do you see anyone you know?"

"Not yet," she said regaining her easy smile. "But this place is all in our heads. Eventually someone is going to come to the surface."
The astral realm played a lot of games, but this one was one she was quite familiar with. The almost familiar would become familiar eventually, but only if the mind gravitated enough towards someone. Was there anyone in Soul's life that would come to mind even distracted on his walk, that had such a presence they slipped into his subconscious? Did Sitka?
She liked to see. Sometimes she was surprised, other times she wasn't, but it made sense then why she was scanning the crowds with such interest. She was waiting for interesting to appear.

Soul paused as he wondered what she meant, hoping that what he suspected wouldn't come to pass-or if it did, wasn't related to something bad. If his subconscious dragged someone to the forefront and materialized them here, or god forbid the damn astral plane itself didn't hate him this time, who would it be? Friend, or foe? Family? One of Zyren's or his? His eyes snapped to a movement to his left as features made themselves known on one particular person that walked along the street three blocks down, their gait becoming confident, their form growing tall and nearly lanky in their appearance with how lean they were.
He squinted, and with his concentration came the fading in of more characteristics. Lean and lanky became tall and petite, short hair became long strands that reached the lower back and chestnut brown, bound lightly in a single wrap for a pony tail. Pants became shorts as a shirt thinned, becoming a crop top before being covered by a black jacket that opened at the front. Golden accents flared into existence along the cuffs, edge of the hood, and the hem of the jacket iself; finalized with a hollowed sphere at the shoulders that then dipped down in a straight line to the elbow.
A sword made itself known at her waist as her face unfuzzed into reality to reveal stormy grey eyes and a jade claw tattoo underneath the left eye, revealing a woman that looked relatively human and in her mid-to-late twenties. To finish off her motif of her golden ascents were a pair of similar golden earrings no bigger than the size of half-dollars that gleamed and reflected the stormy-light just like the ones on her coat as if the metal was under bright sunlight. She paused, seeming to gain sentience with her arrival in the astral plane as she looked around, first at the countless uncharacteristic forms that milled around her, then the landscape itself.

“Don’t concentrate too hard,” Sitka said, watching him again. “The point is to find someone that touches your subconscious, not to create that person.”
As she said, this was all in their minds. They could change things as they wished if they concentrated long enough. She once came across a demon who turned the whole world into candy, and she knew full well she could shift this city to a hellscape in an instant. That wasn’t the point. Such control was present in the forefront of your mind where nothing was hidden. It was in the quiet where your mind roamed absently that you could find what mattered, or at least what plagued you for the time being.
It was potentially too late for them now of course. She had placed the idea in his head and he ran with it, searching for someone and probably knowing quite well who it’d be. That could disrupt the realm entirely, and her own mission would be disrupted.
“Who do you see?” she asked, even though that might just give the construct more power.

Soul
Soul was perturbed as he stared at the newcomer, Sitka's words of advice in his ear. "I dont know who that is, but I dont feel like I created them. They feel real." He pointed the stranger out with a raised hand, still confused, and the person in question immediately stiffened before turning around to face him and Sitka both.
If Sitka couldn't see what she looked like, that would change at that very moment unbeknownst to the Saiyan next to her. She didn't move, yet cocked her head, slowly becoming serious as she stared at the Woman next to Soul with a boundless gaze.

“Generally, the astral realm can only hold two ‘real’ people at a time,” Sitka said as the woman came into focus. She lifted her gloved hand to her lips as she considered the possibilities. It was possible to have more than two, but her mind would have to agree to it, and she didn’t think it had…
“But really, no one here is real at all,” she said with a smile behind her hand holding back a laugh. If the woman was trying to intimidate her, she’d have much better chances with Soul. “Are you afraid of her?” she asked, feeling the shift inside him and the weight of it.
