Soul
Soul studied the woman with a confused, anxious gaze, then shook his head at her remark as he answered a bit unsteadily as his heart started to pound; "No? She doesn't scare me." He frowned, and the woman switched her attention from Sitka to Soul, her expression dissatisfied as she in turn studied him. A moment passed, then another, and emotions started to flit across her face at a speed that he could barely catch, each not coming fully into focus before it began to shift to something else. Indifference turned to curiosity, then to confusion; only to morph to shock and joy before being replaced with sadness. Fear followed, and something thrummed inside his head, one eye of his closing at the pain that followed.
The origin around his dantian vibrated, his Ki suddenly erratic to join his heartbeat.
Then, she spoke, words soft and impossible to go across the distance from the volume yet it was like she was right next to them both; yet would Sitka hear? Static white noise skewed in for barely a moment before the words followed, concise and packed full of so many emotions that he didn't know what to make of it...especially with how short it was. "I shouldn't be here. I must leave."
Then, she waved a hand in their direction, and many things happened all at once. The space and reality they were in fractured like a pane of glass shattered right at the middle, the epicenter of which was the strange woman as something reflected itself in the void and one of the pieces of reality. A monstrosity overlaid over her own black silhouette, then it and her was gone to leave a very confused and lost Hybrid to stare where she once was.
"Um." He started, then paused for only a moment to ask, "Is uh...Does that usually happen?"

Sitka
Sitka’s free hand steepled with her other one, both now staying pressed to her lips as she watched with a type of wonder. She was definitely waiting unguarded to see what happened next, like it was an interesting TV show unfolding in front of her and not some twist in reality that could truly affect her in any way
Well, it couldn’t. She was confident in her mental prowess to not be tainted by something in a realm she still felt a certain amount of control over. Besides, it wasn’t in the script, which meant ultimately, it did not matter.
The woman’s focus moved to Soul and there she found recognition. Sitka watched some of the emotions pass over the woman’s face but lost some to look on Soul who seemed just as perplexed by the entire encounter.
“Boom~” Sitka uttered just in time with the woman’s wave predicting what would happen next, giving a stronger sound effect to what surely deserved a crashing sound of some sort but contained none. In reality, or wherever they were, it was a little more anticlimactic.
“Not really, no,” Sitka said with her easy smile, dropping her hands. “Is there something wrong with your mind?” she asked rather bluntly, her tone never changing so it did not sound harsh or judgmental, simply curious.

Soul
Soul winced, then grinned wryly at her question, yet the sour emotion wasn't at her but at himself; "Yes and No." He sighed as he rubbed his temple, suddenly abashed at having to reveal weakness while contemplating on how much he should tell her. Should he lie? Tell the truth? Which would paint him in a light that wasn't the one he wanted?
He shrugged, then decided to go full bore with the truth, "My mind is fine. I won't snap and go crazy or anything like that, I think anyway, but I'm just suffering from Amnesia. A while back when I was stronger, I suffered a grievous injury to my entire being. One that fractured my mind, ruined my body, and sent my soul in an innumerable amount of pieces everywhere."
He paused to collect his thoughts again, then shrugged again and smiled lamely at the sidewalk, not attempting to meet her eyes or look upward as he let out a dry laugh. "Will I get it all back, who knows? All of these missing pieces of me are attached to things that I did know at one time; like people, places, and ev--events." He tried to not catch himself when he realized how much he was saying, but hoped she'd pass it by.
"Sometimes if I hear about or interact with those things, the memories around that soul fragment may appear to assimilate with me. When they do, I get a bit of my power back with those memories."

“Statements like that are just asking for a ‘yet,’” she replied easily, giving him a nudge once the realm was repaired to continue their walk. “Either way, with amnesia there’s no way of saying you didn’t once know who that was. If anything, her presence here reflects that she was once important. She was pulled here by you.”
Her eyes went back on the search. She didn’t expect something so dramatic of course. She didn’t expect them to come alive. If anything they’d probably walk right on by her, but it would give her clarity none the less. Unfortunate Soul could not say the same, though it was quite different for everyone.

Soul nodded uneasily, "I suppose." He had more he wanted to say yet didn't as he decided to instead ruminate on what he had felt and thought at the time before, during, and after the woman had appeared and left. Each person he walked by in his distracted state made him a tad skittish, yet he forced himself to continue by as he did his best to ignore them.
Would they suddenly start filling in with features like that woman, and cause more problems?
Another thought tugged at him yet he did his best to stiffle it, but ultimately failed; How damaged was he? Instead of ruminating on that he did what he normally did, which was smother it and throw it to the recesses of his mind as he asked Sitka; "So, miss Sitka, who do you see?"

Sitka
“Hm,” Sitka said at his question, seeming to still be waiting until her eyes fixed on someone. It was hard to tell who as the distinguished features still seemed to slide off of them but then there was a young girl. She had white hair and grey eyes and despite her young age wore the uniform of a Paladin only with a few strange insignias Soul would only recognize if he had knowledge of the Chaos Wars.
“There she is,” Sitka said happily, as if it were but a game. She didn’t seem at all surprised by the appearance of this girl, and unlike Soul’s summoning the Paladin didn’t change her course of acknowledge their existences at all.
