Tl;dr
Updating Level 3 Inscriptions:
Technique crits should pull from the same list as inscription crits. They are a similar enough pool that their overlap would be a good way to add some interactivity to some techniques and to shake up some creativity with the equipment we wear. The way I would reorganize it looks roughly like so:
Blind: Temporarily blinds you for your next 4 performed actions. While blinded, any offensive actions you take will be unsuccessful.
Burn: -15% toughness for the next 8 performed actions made against you. Receive 10% more damage for the next 8 performed actions made against you.
Confusion: 10% chance for your attacks to miss for your next 8 actions. Potential misses are rolled before an opponent posts.
Crush: -5% all stats for the next 8 performed actions made against you. You receive -1 action in each of your next two posts.
Death: Cannot be added to custom techs. 10% chance of instant kill (replaces normal critical chance).
Energy Stealing: Steals 2% Ki from your opponent.
Holy: Deals +25% damage to opponent if Chaotic Evil.
Immobilize: Increases the action cost of your next 2 techniques by +1.
Pierce: -10% vitality and toughness for the next 8 performed actions made against you. Increases the action cost of your next 2 physical attacks by +1.
Poison: Halves the effects of healing and increases ki drain by +50% for your next 8 performed actions (i.e. a move that would take 20% ki now takes 30%).
Regen: Take 25% less damage for the next two turns.
Slice: -15% vitality for the next 8 performed actions made against you. Renders one limb useless for the duration of the battle.
Shadow: Deals +25% damage to opponent if Lawful Good.

- Scorching, Freezing, and Toxic should be changed to Burn, Immobilize, and Poison.
- They would just be the regular crits that we already have at the standard 10% success rate for inscriptions.
- Shadow should be added to a reasonable number of Evil Only techniques that need a critical effect(like Dark Kamehameha).
- Holy should be added to a reasonable number of Good Only techniques that need a critical effect(like Ka... you get the point).
- Energy Stealing could be added to a couple physical fundamentals (at a fundamental rate, obviously) or physical or hybrid advanced attacks.
- It makes so much sense being attached to Heat Phalanx, for example, doesn’t it?
- Debilitating can just be trashed because let’s be honest, nobody on the site has it anyway.
- All other crits would just be added to the inscription list, again at the 10% rate that all inscriptions function at.

Tl;dr
Change level 3 inscriptions to: adds a critical effect from the technique page at a 10% chance. Put a link to the technique page in place of the inscription effect list. Add Shadow, Holy, and Energy Stealing to the critical effects on the technique page (and go ahead and add those crits to some already existing techniques as well). Extra bonus: it would allow another level of potentially interesting ideas to enter the custom technique world.
