Note: This is intended for battle effects in mind. It was brought up the poll title is vague. I cannot edit this, at least from my phone.
Currently there are no limits, meaning someone can make unlimited custom wishes, such as having restricted techniques, lowering the Ki cost of techniques, raising the DR of attacks, etc and they are stacking. It was suggested this be changed so they do not infinitely stack. What do you guys think?

But isn't this with Admin Approval?
The underlined part is where custom wishes come from and they are not repeatable. So if you wish for something custom -- you can't have that same wish. I don't see how its stackable this way

I’m not too sure about the admin approval part, I haven’t seen any wish requests. So I can’t speak to that. But it doesn’t seem to be an issue, I haven’t been made aware of any problematic wishes. The poll is about multiple custom wishes.
But if you wish for -1% Ki costs and then wish for a +1 DR to all techniques, are you saying that you then wouldn’t have -1% Ki costs and +1 DR to all techniques?
I am taking about battle effects stacking, not someone wishing for SP or something. Apologies for any confusion

Well, you have been on a few hiatus' and I am sure no one has bothered you with wish approvals. I have bothered Shell and Alex plenty of times for wish approvals.
-1% ki and +1 DR to all techs are fundamentally 2 different wishes. You couldn't have -2% and +2 DR because you already wished for it -- you also can't just wish for that.. it has to be an approved wished by an admin.
I have never seen that wish, and I highly doubt an admin will approve that. Its part of the process though, admin approvals with logs when you do the wish.

People will go to a certain admin if they think that admin will be more lenient on a wish. Goku goes to Alex, you and Yan go to Shell. It has nothing to do with an admin being busy, let's be transparent here since we're talking about a suggested change for the betterment of the site. I have never been on a hiatus when a dragonball wish was made. People have always done this so I am not singling anybody out, people do this all the time with asking for an update extension or for a ruling.
The current process is not only dishonest, but also ineffective, as everybody but one alliance is voicing concerns over it. I understand what the current process is, I have never liked it, but now almost all of ADBZ is complaining about it. So we need to workshop a solution.
I'm glad this is being talked about before it's a major issue and someone had 15 battle-affecting wishes all stacked up, because that would limit our options. But we do have options right now, we should focus on exploring the best one tbh.

I'd like to see a limit. It never seemed necessary until a couple of people took it to its logical conclusion, and at least to me it is obviously too much. No you can't have the same wish twice, but frankly I feel you shouldn't be able to choose the custom wish option twice, regardless of whether or not you're picking different stuff each time.
Further, these wishes shouldn't be approved or denied behind closed doors. Post custom wish requests just like you do custom items. After you make the wish and you are safe from sneaks, then you post your wish request and work from there.

Later Dave and I agreed that it was way OP and so we settled on changing it to Bunkai Teleport. Well, I am mistaken and I will take my dumb ass to the corner with my hat. The one who got Possession from Namekian DB Wish was Broly. The one who played him before Legion. As for not being able to use the Custom Wish option twice I think that's too limiting. I know that as it stands the amount of battle benefits you can wish for gives way to it being unbalanced but if the custom wish option becomes a one time thing per set then all that's left are the listed wishes which also can't be repeated unless a different stat or item and eventually the Dragonballs won't be worth getting for someone who's used the listed options. I think something along the lines of what Revan suggested in making it so you can only bring so many into battle at time would be better. |

If I’m missing some lmk so I can add it to the list. All of these were approved by Alex, Shell, and maybe the Advanced by Junior but Joseph would have to confirm that. I have no idea where DR and ki cost lowering and stuff would factor in. Never asked honestly.
So my take on DB wishes was that it was end game content. You can wish for random things that are hopefully not OP (like Aria said, the approval of possession opened some WIDE doors that never closed all the way) to further customize a build and make it your own. Thats what those wishes are to me. Which is like Joseph’s saying in not wanting to limit that.
I don’t really want to either but I would honesty not be against a larger cap? Like 3 custom wishes per set. Cuz like, its custom for customization. Allow some extra wiggle room for customizations with a limit on stacking til the end of time. You get to a point DBs are useless but not for awhile and room to get stuff you really want. Then yknow, Frieza is less likely to sneak anyone for them so its better for people also wanting the DBs.
Maybe also add to the standard wishes though. Like the advanced/PU one, the unlimited one time redistribute. And/Or one scenario item (on approval).

I have Pure Blooded on my Main soul with demon transformation line which was approved by Alex years ago, since you missed that you can add it to your list. Which is inactive btw because I am Cold and not Az or Dante. |

Having more examples of standard wishes solves this problem tbh. It lets there be balance and specific limits set like Yan said above.

Even like the +1 advanced slot and shit. I'm, more than anything, just looking for some limits and standards for what is allowed with the custom wish. That is why I mentioned making them something that goes through the custom panel. Imagine if all we did was send our customs to Alex and he decided alone if something was allowed or not, lol. The consistency and visibility just needs to be there to satisfy me, really. |
