Iagiri and Purple Spiral Flash Attack are supposed to be incredibly dangerous techniques, used by multiple people to completely overwhelm the opponent. But they aren't, and most people kinda know they aren't. Two people burning Ki, wasting actions together in a synchronized attack - and someone can just handwave it away with a no effort Deflect.
I know a lot of the suggestion threads lately have been kinda big ideas, and this is relatively small, but I still think these two changes would give a lot of life to the idea of combining moves and techniques: firstly, that Iagiri is able to be charged up, same as Purple Spiral Flash Attack; secondly, that any defense of those attacks (or any future techniques that require multiple people/forms that we create on the site) must be treated as defending against two separate attacks. In these rare scenarios, someone would be allowed 2 actions to defend, and they would have to use both actions of defense to fully prevent the attack from hitting them. If someone chooses to only use one action to defend from one person's use of the technique, it could function as a 50% Barrier, but the other person's Ki would be completely unaffected.
It's worded a little clunky, I know, but in practice it would work like this:
Person 1: A1) dodge somethin or other A2) punch x2 A3) iagiri A4) handicap
Person 2: A1) also dodgin A2) some beam balls A3) iagiri A4) handicap
Opponent: Free) take punches Free) take beam balls A1) liai on P1 iagiri A2) opal electricity on P2 iagiri [absorb 10% Ki] A3) charge A4) kame..
What do you guys think? To me, it feels like a good way to allow those techs a way to be useful in today's battling, as opposed to just being a way to waste a ton of Ki and still not hit anybody. But if you see any flaws with this, or just don't like the idea, feel free to call me a trash noob who doesn't know what he's talking about.

Prob best to start with “this attack is considered charged.” Since it’s using 2 actions.

I know I don't know much about battling or techniques, but I actually think this is a really decent suggestion and should be implemented. Otherwise being able to deflect two synchronized attacks with one action feels a lot like god-modding/being super overpowered, and that's an ick. Maybe even if they do take 50% damage, there could be some type of effect added that would cause a small amount of lingering damage, considering it's being used by multiple people during a battle.

Prob best to start with “this attack is considered charged.” Since it’s using 2 actions. That would be a great fix tbh. I remember at one point I was asking Mona if he wanted to learn one of those team moves so Joe and Mona could just them together, but we decided it wouldn't be worth it because it could just be kiaied or deflected. Making it count as charged would make it worth both players using an action.

So are we ignoring that these moves have max tier DR for a finisher and usable 3 times a battle though?

yeah no...I agree with what Puar showed. It's an extremely powerful cap-breaking DR10 advanced (let's not even talk about the rush attack) which is as said even more powerful with the added up power. I'd say it's a proper trade off for it to be counted as a single tech

I'd be okay with this only in the context that Revan said, where they count as charged advanced automatically
It simply doesn't matter what the DR is if one person can handwave it away with one of their 12 defenses for uncharged advanced

Thought about this a bit more -- What if we make their team work optional. Actually nah, check this out.
What if we add an entire mechanic (Yea I am going big) to where we can do this with any same move? Not something too hard to implement -- just the whole charging aspect and that's it.
"If two teammates use the same move, they can combine their efforts to increase the strength of the attack and make it considered charged. If the move is charged by both then it is considered charged by 2 actions instead of 1."
Yea I know this will like kill the unique nature of Iaigiri and PSFA, but they can be special as in they have that higher DR or w/e.

I dig it. Stuff like that would add a nice spin to team battles, since they usually devolve into 1v1s except for when AoEs and MTs are used.

We had just talked about adding more team techniques via Alliance quests so I'd rather not change them entirely. However, I consider them like Bakuhatsuha. They are two action techniques spread out across two players. The only change I would accept is that each charge action count as one charge. So if you both players spend two actions, that's a double charged technique. If one spends one action and the other two, it's single charged. The additional stipulation is that it still cannot go over 1 extra charge with Energy Doubler. So you can't both spend 2 actions on Iagiri to get it double charged. That is the only weakness two people attacks have right now compared to normal two action techniques like Bakuhatsuha.
Bakuhatsuha can't go over the cap though, which honestly, you're getting to DR10. Three action technique is DR9 capped. Sensible logic would be 4 action is 10. You want a DR10 advanced that's charged, spend four actions. These techniques aren't weak at all and don't need a fix imo, but if y'all disagree...
I personally think they're never used because you only have so many advanced slots, and who wants to have one of those slots filled by something you can't use in a solo battle?
