How would Aria's suggestion solve the problem of it not being useful in a solo battle?
Granted, I don't necessarily think it's a problem, I think it's an intended drawback of it being DR 10. But just wondering if I missed something.

But just wondering if I missed something. Aria's suggestion allows virtually every offensive technique to be useable in a solo battle or in a team battle interchangeably as solo or team techniques - which negates the issue that Frieza pointed out about the current system, where people don't want to waste a whole slot on a technique that can ONLY be used in a team battle, regardless of whether they would like to use team techniques in team battles or not. By having all abilities able to be used in such a way, the problem of "should i grab a team tech that i cant use in a solo battle" becomes a non-problem, because of course it can be used in a solo battle. that said, i dont think thats why people dont pick team techs, BUT it does still solve the problem in a roundabout way imo

I thought you could fix the whole team thing by teaching Iaigiri/ PSFA to your student/officer. I mean, you legally could. (I don't know where I'm going with this, I just wanted this to be noted in this discussion.)
Also you can do the same thing with Tri/Deca, which I tried to do to Pagoma.

I understand the suggestion as a whole. Just having trouble connecting the dots from that suggestion to Iagiri being used in a solo battle. Is it "Make every tech work that way and remove the double techs?"

yeah, I'd say that if aria's suggestion would be followed, iaigiri loses its reason to have a DR of 10 and could very well be moved to finishers
