| Round 2 Tarble Word Count: 384 |
In a moment of sheer desperation, Tarble channeled the potent ki energy coursing through his entire body, orchestrating a display of power that rippled through his limbs. His outstretched arms and legs generated a surging force that displaced the water surrounding him, creating a formidable pressure wave that sent ripples across the underwater terrain. In this intense and exhilarating moment, Tarble found himself thoroughly engaged in the battle. Nappa's presence had ignited a fierce determination within Tarble, urging him to respond with equal fervor in this sparring match.
Fueled by the rising excitement coursing through his veins, Tarble tapped into his latent potential and unleashed his maximum power. Crouching low, he clenched both fists tightly by his sides, allowing the vibrant aura of his ki to envelop him in a radiant, light blue sheen. The energy surged within him, its flow echoing the rhythm of his own life force, pulsating like the very blood running through his veins. The underwater environment surrounding him began to shimmer and dance with light as the young Saiyan approached the pinnacle of his power, the water currents twisting and swirling in response. Even as he continued to charge up, Tarble could perceive Nappa closing in beneath the water's surface, his formidable presence felt as a looming threat.
"What do to" thought Tarble.
Although Tarble usually favored employing a variety of tactics to gain the upper hand, he recognized that against such a formidable adversary, a direct and head-on approach was necessary. Thus, he sprinted toward Nappa with all the speed he could muster while submerged in water, infusing his right fist with a concentrated surge of ki energy. Time was of the essence, as his air supply dwindled rapidly.
Drawing near to Nappa, Tarble initiated his attack sequence. First, he launched a swift left jab toward Nappa's right shoulder, aiming for a strategic strike to unbalance his opponent. The force behind his punch was formidable, causing ripples in the water as it traveled towards its target. Then, without hesitation, Tarble unleashed a devastating blast punch with lightning speed, directing it toward the left side of Nappa's torso. This punch carried the full force of a ki-infused blast, targeting Nappa's ribcage with the intention of leaving a significant impact that could potentially turn the tide of this intense battle.

Champion Lvl 2
As Nappa sunk deeper beneath the waves, he saw a flash of color, before he felt his entire body begin to shift, turning to the right. He’d been punched - and aggressively, too - in his shoulder, causing him to pirouette underwater. In shock, he actually opened his mouth to say, “What th--” before quickly shutting his mouth. The bubbles he’d already lost by those two syllables would be critical.
It seemed Tarble had been playing him for a fool, and was actually luring him into an underwater match. A surprising tactic, but one that definitely left the bald Saiyan feeling more confident in continuing the spar with him. His adrenaline still flowed heavily, but now it aided his battle instincts, rather than filled him with fear.
He’d realized all this, but realizing it had taken the precious second away from him that he would have needed to avoid the next attack, a Ki infused punch to his ribs; he felt the shockwave push him back some, and his arms flailed wildly in reaction, trying to hit anything in the vicinity. He didn’t hit anything but more water, however, so he tried to spin his body back to face the smaller Saiyan.
Looking him properly in the eyes now, Nappa could see that he’d even taken the time to power up while underground, a faint aura humming around him. Nappa smiled a bit to himself, pleased he had found a Saiyan with a brain he could spar with. He kicked up with his feet to head back to the surface, poking his head out and gasping briefly for air, before using his Ki to fly the rest of the way out of the ocean. The salt-water was starting to irritate his eyes - which actually gave him an idea.
He turned around, assuming that the Saiyan would be rising out of the water as well now that the ruse was over with. Quickly, before Tarble could react and come up with any kind of defense, Nappa placed his hands across his face, fingers splayed as widely as they could be.
“Solar Flare!”
It was as though the energy of Sol was channeling itself through Nappa’s own body, creating a burning light that filled every bit of space within the nearby area. Once he felt sure the attack was complete, the gargantuan Saiyan rushed forward, attempting to throw a couple quick body shots towards Tarble’s midsection. Word Count: 410 Nappa’s Word Count: 410

Tarble unleashed a powerful blast punch, striking Nappa and creating some distance between them. It was Tarble's first attempt at this move in battle, and he successfully landed it, sending Nappa soaring through the water. Nappa struggled to regain his composure, surprising Tarble, who had briefly thought the battle was over. Tarble realized that Nappa was a formidable opponent who wouldn't go down easily.
Tarble knew he had limited time left underwater before needing to surface for air. He noticed Nappa swimming toward the surface and quickly decided to follow suit, determined to maintain the pressure. As he approached the water's surface, he saw Nappa suddenly take off into the distance.
Confused, Tarble wondered, "Where is he going?" He darted out of the water, fixing his gaze on Nappa, who had turned around and placed his spread-out fingers on his forehead.
Nappa shouted, "Solar Flare!"
A blinding light engulfed the entire battlefield. Tarble's eyes were directly exposed to the blinding flash, causing an intense burning sensation. He clutched his eyes and cried out in pain, "MY EYES... MY EYES!"
Unable to defend himself, Tarble felt a series of sharp jabs striking his midsection. Each blow lifted his body higher into the air, his arms flailing as if they were lifeless. He gritted his teeth, spitting out words through the pain. At that moment, Tarble realized that all he could do was endure the agonizing burning sensation in his eyes and midsection.
The blinding pain in Tarble's eyes seemed unbearable as he desperately tried to shield them from the searing light. His mind raced for a solution, but the relentless assault on his midsection kept him immobilized in the air. Nappa's ruthless attacks left Tarble gasping for breath and unable to muster a defense.
As Nappa's final jab landed squarely in Tarble's midsection, a resounding crack echoed across the battlefield. Tarble's body was left with no option but to slump over onto Nappa's massive forearm. His arms dangled lifelessly, devoid of any movement. Tarble's eyes were rapidly closing as his dwindling strength threatened to push him out of the fight altogether.

TCHK!
Tarble immediately looked... looser, somehow, eyes drooping and his body swaying, before he collapsed on top of Nappa’s arm; immediately, the Saiyan stopped combat. Was this another trick? It was difficult to assume it was, because that noise had sounded sickeningly real - however, he also wouldn’t have predicted that Tarble was capable of pretending to drown so effectively earlier in the fight.
He wondered if the Saiyan was crafty enough to attempt the same move twice in a row, preying on Nappa’s more gentle nature. However, as he leaned heavy on Nappa’s arm, and his limbs went lifeless, and his eyes began to close, Nappa decided that he would simply make the responsible choice - and if this turned out to be another trap, he would simply end the fight and walk away.
With the smaller man still draped over his forearm, the bald Saiyan shot into the air, making a beeline for the world’s most renowned producer of Senzu Beans - Master Korin. He had met him months ago, discovering the tower - and its subsequent climb to the top - while traveling the world. If anyone could save this young man, it would be the old martial arts master.
Human hospitals weren’t nearly good enough for him to trust them, and his rejuvenation tank was actually auto-cleaning at the moment, and wouldn’t be usable for another few hours. Time was of the essence, so neither solution was viable. As he flew through the air, he mumbled words to his new ally, though on recollection he had no idea what he’d said - some phrases of encouragement, no doubt, combined with requests that he not die.
After what felt like an eternity, but was likely only a few minutes, he’d managed to make it all the way to the massive disc-shaped tower, barrelling in at full speed. The pure white cat leapt backwards nervously at the speed of Nappa’s arrival.
“Doggone it, Nappa, you almost gave me a heart attack!”
“I’m so sorry, Master; it’s just--” he held his arm out, showing the limp Saiyan hanging onto him. “I... I don’t know if he’s gonna make it. We were just play-fighting, and then he got hit, and he’s been like this ever since, and I don’t know what else to do - except maybe if you have a Senzu Bean that might be able to help him?”
“A Senzu Bean?!” Korin looked affronted, lifting his stick up and jabbing it at Nappa crossly. “Is that all I am to you, huh? Just some Bean Factory you can hop up and visit whenever you beat somebody lifeless? You know, I’m a very well-respected individual, not some bean chef!” Despite all the big talk, though, Korin glanced down once more at Tarble’s face, before sighing and flicking his paw, a Senzu flying across the Tower towards Nappa.
He caught it instinctively. “It was in your hand the whole time?”
“I was about to eat one myself - sue me.”
Without saying another word, he shoved the small legume into Tarble’s mouth, gently pushing his jaw up and down to help the man chew and then swallow it. After that, he laid Tarble on the tile floor and waited patiently. Word Count: 552 Nappa’s Word Count: 962

| ROUND 2 Tarble Word Count: 4271,161 |
The battle drew to a close, and Tarble's weary eyes began to droop. He struggled to summon the last ounces of his strength, but his reserves were depleted. The devastating blast had drained him considerably, and Nappa's relentless assaults had pushed him to his limits. His body felt feeble, and all he could think of was surrendering to sleep. He had always heard tales of legendary Saiyans, but now he could see that Nappa operated on an entirely different plane of power.
As Tarble's eyelids surrendered to gravity, time seemed to blur into a haze. Suddenly, a surge of energy jolted through his entire body. His eyes fluttered open, revealing blurry visions of two figures. Slowly, his surroundings came into focus as he rolled onto his shoulder blades and rose to his feet. A surge of newfound energy coursed through him. Scanning his surroundings, he saw a diminutive white cat-like creature wielding a small wooden staff and Nappa.
"What just happened?" Tarble inquired as he surveyed the unfamiliar terrain. He recognized this place from his travels, but he had only glimpsed it in passing as he ascended to Master Kami's lookout tower. Approaching the edge of the tower, he realized they were high above the clouds.
"Nappa nearly bested you," the white cat chimed in. "You're fortunate he arrived in time; otherwise, you'd be on your way to the afterlife by now."
Tarble smiled, gazing out at the vast sky. Nappa was an immensely powerful Saiyan, and Tarble felt honored to have shared the battlefield with him. This sparring session had presented Tarble with a challenge that would drive him to become even stronger and seek another confrontation with Nappa.
"I'm grateful for what you did, Nappa. Not many Saiyans would have acted as you did, and I'm forever in your debt. I hope to test my strength against you once more, if you're up for the challenge."
With newfound determination, Tarble understood the path he must tread. He needed to push his limits beyond anything he had experienced before. Young Gohan had been a formidable opponent, but Nappa had defeated Tarble with just a few blows. Tarble couldn't help but wonder what a battle between Ember and Nappa would be like—a clash of two powers that could potentially reshape the Earth's destiny. Tarble turned to bid farewell to Nappa and the white cat.
"Until next time, Nappa, and you too, Korin," Tarble said with a nod.
He dashed off the side of the tower, hearing a distant response, "I'm not a cat; my name's Korin."
