“I just don’t get why it has to be them, though,” Nappa said with exasperation. He glanced around the room as though looking for the words, but he saw nothing except for the sterile white walls of his living room looking back at him. After a moment, he turned back to look into Raven’s eyes.
“They’re murderers, slave traders - they don’t even pay you that good!” A palm rubbed over the back of Nappa’s scalp, and the Saiyan took a long exhale. “You know what - it doesn’t matter. I didn’t even ask you about your job - I asked you what you like to do for fun. We’ve got to be able to interact together, so we need something to do.”
Nappa stared deep into Raven’s eyes, as though he was trying to read her mind, before asking again. “What are your... like... hobbies? Stuff that you do in your free time when Ember hasn’t taken control?” He leaned back and sat on the coffee table, looking up at her. “Do you like swimming? Hiking? Video games?” he asked, waving his hand towards the television behind him. “How about cooki-- nevermind. Maybe even you just like traveling to random places to see things?” Word Count: 213 Nappa’s Word Count: 213

Raven groaned at the Saiyan's words. She had heard him incessantly complain about her choice of career from within her counterpart's subconscious for what felt like years now. She had decided to take control for a few days, but ended up in a slightly... sticky situation - right in the middle of the goliath's home. She let out a little huff, and raised an eyebrow, before speaking.
"That's the thing, Muscles. My job is fun. I get to go on missions, deal in some..." She figured the word torture wouldn't go over well, so she smirked at him instead, and purred, "Carnal pleasures... and all the while, make enough money to help Ember get the pretty little dreamhouse she wants to have so badly with you. Six hundred Zeni a week is hardly nothing."
She paused, before continuing, and fixing the Saiyan with her amber gaze.
"I enjoy my job. It is my source of fun. Swimming is...meh. Hiking is part of the job, I could live without it. I've heard about video games from some other members of the PTO that keep them in their barracks, but what's the point of playing them when I can just do it in reality?"
Of course, she was speaking about murdering and going on adventures. Her bunkmate in particular back on Frieza had a console that he regularly played action games on, and she didn't quite understand why. He went on missions all the time, and even partook in torture with her. Video games were stupid - but there was a market for them.
"I like to fight, kill things, have...intimate encounters." she said, giving him a suggestive wink.
"My job is fun. It's what I like."

Listening to her talk was giving Nappa a headache. Who in the galaxy liked their job? She was being so unnecessarily difficult. Like what did she do in her free time, put on a mask and cosplay a serial killer? Nobody could be so boring that they worked a full time job, went home, and fantasized about working extra hours without pay! Nappa didn’t even enjoy killing - he did it only in self defense when he was on missions; frankly, killing wasn’t that necessary in his line of work. The amount of strength he and his fellow Saiyans wielded typically convinced anybody they crossed paths with to simply surrender.
As he crossed his legs, fuming to himself while Raven spoke, an idea suddenly hit him. There was a way for them both to have fun, despite her incessant whining about loving violence as her preferred hobby - honestly, because of it. He smiled, a wide Cheshire grin as he looked up into Raven’s brilliantly amber-colored eyes. “I got it,” he said, still unable to stop himself from smiling.
The Saiyan swiped his Scouter off the coffee table next to him and bounced to his feet, barely turning his head to glance at her before announcing, “Follow me - I know exactly what we can do to have some fun.” Opening the front door to his house, he called back, “Honestly, I’ve been meaning to do this for ages anyway; I just knew Ember probably wouldn’t enjoy it that much, and I could never think of a reason to go alone.”
Walking out the door, he clicked the Scouter onto his face and input a name, waiting for the address to pop back out. Within seconds, he had it, and - once making sure she was close enough to see him - he jumped into the air, allowing his Ki to raise him higher and higher into the sky, before flying off into the distance.
He was going to take her to a Rage Room. Word Count: 337 Nappa’s Word Count: 550

The red-head's eyes rolled slightly - why did this lumbering idiot want to spend time with her? Why did he care so much about her hobbies, about what she wanted to do on a daily basis? It was probably just the attachment he had to Ember, and that quite vexed the Dark Fae. She never really preferred the company of males - they always wanted to assert their dominance, prove they were the strongest one in the room - and for some reason, the Saiyan seemed to be just like the rest of them - albeit with a protective streak.
She didn't even acknowledge the wide grin that he gave her as he stood, grabbed his scouter - she tsked as he did, a small noise to express her dissatisfaction. She hated the scouter he had given Ember, and unfortunately, the one he had proffered to her counterpart was the only one she had access to. The reason? The PTO required for all scouters not being used on missions for other planets to be checked into equipment lockers. The being that had earned the Scouter still owned it, but wouldn't have free use of it until they were a Praetor.
Raven hated being a Bruiser within the PTO. It was better than being a grunt, but she still looked forward to the power that being a Praetor, or hell, even an Enforcer would bring.
Either way...
She watched with annoyance as the Saiyan walked towards the door, and she stood, following suit. She had wanted to change out of the white dress adorned with light blue flowers that Ember had donned before Raven had decided to take control, but... it didn't look as if that was happening anytime soon.
As he shot into the air, she followed suit, and even though she had no idea where they were going, picked up speed so that she was slightly ahead of him - there was no way she was going to be led somewhere like a stray dog looking for its mother, much less by a male.
"Where are we even going?"

After a bit of flying, he noticed Raven begin to take the lead, flying several feet ahead of him. He was momentarily confused - how was she going to lead the way if she didn’t know where he was headed? - but in the end, he just went with it. It wasn’t as though she wouldn’t notice when he changed direction.
“...going?”
She didn’t even turn her head to look at him, but Nappa still chose to glance Raven’s way before replying. Then again, he probably shouldn’t have, because the moment he glanced directly at the Fae woman, he realized that her flying in front of him, while still wearing that same white dress, meant that he got a full view of her nether-region.
While he wasn’t going to pretend he was completely unfamiliar with it, this was certainly his first encounter while Raven was in charge, and as such, he was unsure how to feel about it. His neck grew hot, and a little damp, but he managed to push through his embarrassment and dry lips to speak: “I’m taking you to a surprise!” he shouted over the winds. “Don’t worry - I listened to everything you said, so this is something you’ll actually enjoy!”
A few seconds later, he noticed it was time for the descent, and so he shouted, “We’re headed down now!” before angling his body back towards the ground. As he flew to the earth, a part of West City that Nappa was unfamiliar with came into view - it seemed to be some kind of mall area designed for mothers, filled with clothing shops whose names he didn’t recognize.
He didn’t head for any of that stuff.
He was angling down towards an unassuming office space along a strip mall with the name RAGE RAGE RAGE across the top in faded blue lettering. He could feel his stomach bubbling with excitement, really hopeful that he’d found something that she would like to do. After all, he didn’t intend on courting them both, but he did need to at least be friends with Raven - this entire arrangement would be untenable otherwise. Word Count: 368 Nappa’s Word Count: 918

"...actually enjoy!"
Raven's eyes narrowed in irritation, and she felt her lips press into a tight line as he spoke. How did he know what she enjoyed? Not even two minutes ago, he had called her organization one full of slave traders, murderers... he wasn't wrong, but still, why was he so confident that she would enjoy some strange activity he had thought up without a moment's notice? Knowing him, he was probably going to take her to see some action movie of sorts.
She didn't respond, but did a slight pirouette in mid-air, right as he spoke again.
"We're headed down now!"
He dove, plummeting to the city below that seemed to have a shopping centre amidst the hustle and bustle of people.
Instead of following suit, she simply allowed her Ki to stop propelling her, and in turn, the air around her reached its hands out to caress her as she fell. As she stretched her arms, for a brief few moments, she felt free. Free-falling was something she had always appreciated, had always liked to do - it gave her a strange sense of peace that she couldn't seem to find anywhere else - maybe it was similar to what Ember felt when she was relaxing in a natural spring in the forest, or how she felt when she was wrapped up in the Saiyan's arms.
Raven felt a tinge of pink cross her face, but chalked it up to falling too quickly; she righted herself, twisting in the air so that when her feet finally touched the ground behind the Saiyan, she landed delicately. She hadn't really known how she had gotten to the correct spot - maybe she was following his energy signature?
She strode ahead of him, looking at the faded lettering and raising an eyebrow.
"Rage....rage....rage...?" She murmured, her mind working furiously, her eyebrows narrowing as she started to think. Whirling, she put a hand on her hip and threw her hair over her shoulder, which was now wind-tousled, and fixed him with her gaze. "What, do you think that I'm angry all the time? What even is this?"

Nappa turned to look at her, confusion in his eyes. “Do you think this is a place people go when they are angry?” He shook his head; the Saiyan knew she was unaware of rage rooms, but he at least thought she already knew what a therapist was. “It is a marketing strategy. What do people do when they are angry?” Rather than wait for a reply, he opened the door, standing behind it and half-bowing as he let his hand glide through the air in the universal motion for ‘after you!’
A nice, cool wind billowed out from inside the building, and through the open passageway, he could see a large, wooden desk; behind the desk was a woman perhaps Raven’s age or younger, wearing massive gauges in her ears and an impressive updo that showed off the multiple strands of highlighted hair atop her head. Her eyes held a disinterest that fascinated Nappa, and her nails were jet-black.
She definitely fit the tone of the business. After that quick glance inside, he poked his head back out and watched Raven, still waiting for her to come inside and still unwilling to explain properly. All he said as he watched her was, “Tell her that it’s two people and that we’ll be using the place for an hour.” Word Count: 222 Nappa Word Count: 1140

Raven walked inside the building at Nappa's behest, surveying the inside of the building. It seemed to have a chaotic energy to it, which immediately made the Dark Fae's eyes light up with interest, and she moved towards the woman sitting at the front desk, leaning forward and pursing her lips slightly. What had Nappa said? Two people for an hour?
"Two people, please," Raven repeated the words the Saiyan had instructed her to say, holding up her fingers. "For an hour."
The woman looked up from the cell phone that she had been swiping her thumb across, each movement eliciting a new noise, and placed it down on the counter. Raven noted the skull and crossbones that seemed sloppily drawn onto the back of the phone, almost as if someone had taken a marker to it. The Dark Fae smirked slightly - she recalled the small doodles that she had left on various places within her and Ember's ship and recalled the shrieks that Ember made each time she discovered a new and usually vulgar drawing.
The receptionist yanked a slip of paper from a device on the desk and watched as another piece slid from it, achingly slow. Once it had finally printed, she placed both of them atop each other, and handed them to Raven.
"Go down that hallway," she muttered, pointing to the only hallway in the room, "and take a left. You guys have an hour. There's bats, tire irons, hammers, you name it, whatever you wanna use to- Oh, shit, wait."
The woman yanked open a drawer on the desk, and slapped two papers with an egregious amount of text on them against the counter after using a pen to mark a line at the bottom of the paper with a large "X".
"Just sign these first. Basically says that if you hurt yourselves, I don't get in trouble, neither does the company."
Raven raised an eyebrow, but obliged, hoping that Nappa would do the same. After she signed her name on the line - Raven - she placed it back on the counter, where the receptionist took it, looked over the paper, raised her own eyebrow in return, and shrugged, almost as if to say, I don't get paid enough for this.
The woman stood, walking to a small cabinet in the corner of the room, furthest from the door, glanced back at the pair, and pulled out two pairs of what seemed to be denim overalls, orange goggles, and brown gloves. She walked back towards Raven, and outstretched her arms so that the Dark Fae would take the clothing.
"Put these on over your clothes. The both of you are wearing close-toed shoes, so that's good. Anyways, go down that hall, first room on the right, and smash shit to your heart's content."
Raven raised an eyebrow, looked back at Nappa, before pulling on the protective equipment the woman had given her, and heading towards the room, but not before muttering a comment towards the Saiyan under her breath.
"Maybe you know me better than I thought."

The receptionist slammed the two sheets of paper down on the desk, and Nappa sidled over to it, ready to sign away his rights. He skimmed the page casually, reading phrases like “will not accept liability under any circumstances” and “must enter arbitration in the event of” and could feel him brain melting at the legalese. He understood the general concepts of ‘it’s not our fault if you break a leg in there,’ but it almost felt as though it had been written in such a dense way on purpose to try and lure ignorant humans into a situation they couldn’t get out of.
Despite that, Nappa wasn’t really concerned about anything on that disclaimer anyway, since he could always heal himself in his Juve Tank - he hastily scribbled out ‘NAPPA’ in rusty capital letters, before looking up; his gaze followed the receptionist as she walked over to a large cabinet and pulled out two sets of ‘uniforms’ to wear while inside the Rage Room.
He excitedly strapped the goggles onto his face, and grinned stupidly to himself as he looped his thumbs around the overall loops that hung from his shoulders. Raven finished getting her clothes on before him, and walked towards the door, but he could almost hear her talking under her breath: “...know me better...”
His grin widened as he followed her through into the next room; the theme of this particular rage room was some kind of middle class chic: there were dozens of chairs and couches, a handful of television screens hung up on the walls around them, a half-build island counter, and large amounts of glass shelves holding small ceramics and other breakables. Above him was an insanely large (though probably affordable) chandelier, and more. Honestly, Nappa could barely even take in how much there was available to him to destroy. He pulled on his gloves in excitement, and turned back to the way they’d come.
Two mallets leaned casually against the doorframe where they’d entered, and Nappa picked up both. “Raven,” he said, holding out one of his arms. “This one’s yours, I assume.” He kept one mallet in his not-outstretched hand, eyes already sliding off the Fae’s body and trying to pick out what he would break first. Raven surveyed the room with a scrutinous gaze, staring at the walls covered in graffiti, peppered with holes and the piles of debris that no one had bothered to clean before the next arrival. She vaguely registered that new appliances took their place, and heard Nappa call her name. Turning, she took the sledgehammer he offered to her, and twirled it in her hands, trying to get used to the weight of it before she swung. If she moved rashly, there was a possibility that she could hurt herself or even Nappa. The Dark Fae didn't quite feel like being reprimanded by her lighter half for hurting the Saiyan.
"Well. I guess..."
She swung the hammer into a nearby appliance, one with a glass screen and several buttons beside the door. She wasn't positive, but she was quite sure she remembered Nappa calling it a 'microwave'. The satisfying crunch that sounded through the room as the glass collided with her hammer sent shocks down her spine, and Raven couldn't help but turn back towards the Saiyan, almost as if she were asking for approval, or praise for the damage she had just caused.
She moved towards the televisions that sat on the ground by the piles of debris and began smacking one particularly large one with the steel end of the sledgehammer, surprising herself when a laugh bubbled from her throat and turned into a cackle.
"This is... ridiculously amusing." She gasped, her eyes alight with joy. "You try."

“You try.”
Nappa was trying to not look shocked at the destruction that Raven had just done to the microwave in front of them. After all, that was the entire point of the Rage Room. Despite that, he had social norms both from the Saiyan Empire and from Earthen culture that were embedded in him, and told him almost down to the DNA of his very being that just destroying home appliances for no reason was a terribly rude and abrasive thing to do.
This was his idea, though, so he attempted to mask his shock as awe instead and stepped forward, eyeing the room for what to do. He decided that if he was going to break his own internal chains holding him back, the first thing he chose to break should be something that was about as taboo as he could get; smashing a simple ornament, or knocking the leg out of a wooden chair, simply wouldn’t do under those circumstances.
He started to get worried before the perfect idea came to him, and he walked as far to the left as he could. Raising the sledgehammer, he heaved and with all his might he smashed one of the windows that showed him the street. He expected to see the glass shatter and fall all onto the sidewalk outside the building, but instead when the glass broke, he just saw pitch black, and a massive poster flap to the ground harmlessly. With a start, he realized that it hadn’t been a window to the outside at all, but only made to look like that in case anybody tried to do the very thing he did.
Disappointed, he turned back to face the Fae woman. Was he imagining things, or did his heart tug when he saw her?
He shook it off; Raven and Ember shared a body, so of course that would happen from time to time. “How was that?” he asked, glass crunching under his feet as he approached her. Word Count: 333 Nappa Word Count: 1856

"How was that?"
Raven grinned at the Saiyan, looking back towards the window, or rather, the pseudo-window that he had just knocked out. For a moment, she had nearly gasped, believing that he was destroying something that they could get in trouble for, but once she heard no sounds emitting from the outside of the wall, she relaxed slightly.
Wait, why do I even care? It's not like I've worried about breaking things before.
She instead, grinned at him and moved to twirl the sledgehammer in her hand. It was something that she figured would look cool, but she ultimately ended up dropping it, barely moving before it clattered to the floor. She brushed it off and picked the hammer back up.
"It was great, but you have to have more... feeling, you know? You seem like you're wound up, almost like you're afraid to break things."
She reared back, and slammed the table in the center of the room with the sledgehammer, before looking up at him, a smirk flashing across her lips.
"You have to really mean it, y'know? What's something that really pisses you off?"
She batted her lashes at him, her smile nearly catlike.
"Maybe me? The fact that I'm in the PTO, and you absolutely hate them...? Or, maybe it's the fact that I come in and take over your girlfriend's body from time to time?"
Raven once again slammed the hammer into another television near her, and turned back to face him.
"Take that rage you feel, and take it out on these things," She purred. "I promise - you'll love it."

Something that really pisses me off...?
The thought made the Saiyan’s brows furrow in consternation. Sure, he felt anger; he wasn’t incapable of it. But typically, he felt his anger in... moments. He wasn’t really the type to get consistently angry about any one thing. While the Saiyan tried to think of something that truly got his blood boiling whenever he thought of it, he passively listened as Raven continued talking to him.
“Maybe me?”
Why would he be upset about her? He’d taken her out; he was trying to do things with her.
“...PTO...” He was annoyed about her job, but certainly he wasn’t going to be so bothered by it that he would go into a reckless rage. He only even started a fight about it once a moon or so. A thought occurred to him - the moon? If he could be a Great Ape, that would--
“...girlfriend’s body...”
Before he could even process what she’d said, his mouth was already working: “That doesn’t bother me,” he replied, automatically. The second he said it, he felt blood pump faster through his body. It should bother him, shouldn’t it? It wasn’t exactly a situation he could ask a friend about, but the fact he’d said he didn’t mind another woman controlling Ember’s body felt... it felt like a crossed line, somehow.
In an attempt to cover up what he said, the Saiyan immediately tried to break the first thing he could - which turned out to be an antique clock leaning against the wall nearest him. He swung the sledgehammer so softly, though, in his distraction, that he only cracked some of the wood; he had been hoping to leave the clock mangled in one strike.
