It had been a while since Katelyn felt the desert sun upon her skin.
Yet here it was: blistering, relentless, and artificial, but a sun nonetheless. The grit of simulated sand crunched beneath her boots as she looked around, a feeling of disorientation sweeping over her. One moment she was aboard the interstellar cruiser, bathed in the cold, sterile light of technology, and now this - a mirage of the desert within the confines of the ship.
As the door behind them hissed shut, Katelyn's smile widened. She looked over to Middy before breaking the silence, “Do not be fooled by the illusion. This chamber can mimic the ferocity of the elements as mercilessly as nature herself.”
Her dark eyes gleamed as she waved a graceful hand toward the environment around them. 'Welcome to the Elemental Chamber, a masterpiece of magic and machinery, where the environments of countless worlds are at my fingertips.'"
Her slender fingers brushed against a hovering holographic console. The ambiance of the room shifted, the desert morphing into a thick forest that bristled with the scents of earth and foliage. The temperature dropped, the moisture in the air coalescing into an unnatural mist. Katelyn intoned, her voice echoing off the towering, simulated trees, “You'll pass through realms of sand, ice, fire, and storm, dodging hazards and navigate treacherous terrains in a test of endurance. Your stamina will be the crucible, and your resolve will be the forge. Any questions?”

Midnight was now in a special chamber in his saiyan warship, it was a special chamber which Dr. C hemin and Katelyn Nightshade made, it was based on the rainbow shell and magic; the Scientist and Mana Officer working well together. He entered and the door closed behind them. This was a special training assignment, he was ordered to get more skilled, this may have been an illusion but to the imperial saiyan: It was VERY real. It was something new to Middy and even so it was safer then fighting mercenaries and civies in the cities where innocent lifes were at risk, collateral damage was something he wanted to avoid, the enemies got locked up or in some cases... destroyed. The dark elf said the room was controlled by her, realms changing as he was told this is the test of stamina, a really decent exam for the saiyan elite to go through. The first question he asked was 'which realm is first,' wanting to begin right away as this was an adventure as well as work. Such was the life of a saiyan warrior elite in the saiyan empire. They trained the hardest regardless of what was on file...

"Ah, impatient for the trials ahead? Very well," Katelyn's fingers danced across the console once more. At her touch, the forest around them disintegrated into pixels, melting away like sugar dissolving in water. The chamber shimmered, oscillating between realities, before finally settling on its next visage - an arctic tundra blanketed in a pristine sheet of snow, tinged with the dying rays of a sun slipping below the horizon.
"As it is said, 'it is always darkest before the dawn.' So let's begin in the twilight of the arctic," Katelyn murmured, her words turning into misty clouds in the freezing air. She relished the sudden drop in temperature, the way the chill nipped at her skin, invigorating her senses.
Her eyes looked at the Saiyan's, gleaming like twin shards of ice, "Welcome to the first realm; here, the cold and time are both your enemy."
The dark elf gestured to the scenery in the distance; ominous shapes would protrude from the raging blizzard like twisted sculptures - an eerie art gallery frozen in time. These were the humanoid, but monstrous figures made of ice, with menacing expressions and clawed hands outstretched. Seemingly inanimate, but Middy would notice a subtle twitch in one of the figures - an unsettling suggestion of life lurking within the frozen abyss.
"The Statues are not mere decorations," Katelyn's voice would echo across the frigid air, a whisper of menace. "They guard this realm zealously. Beware, for they awake when warmth draws near. Fire can defeat them, but watch your back and don’t let them sneak up on you."
Further in the distance, towering barriers of ice rising up to meet the darkening sky. Their azure faces shimmered like enormous gemstones, reflections of a sun that no longer warmed this world, "Climb them, shatter them, or find the way around. But be quick; they don't stay defeated for long."
Indeed, should Middy attempt to smash or melt his way through one of these towering barriers, the ice would slowly regenerate, creeping back into its original shape as though fed by the arctic air itself. Time would be of the essence, as dawdling could mean finding oneself encased in a freezing prison.
“Move through this area and you will know when you reach the next realm. Good luck, Middy.”

Middy Buckz now was in a very cold place, an icy artic place which was the case. It got colder but Midnight now had a heighten sense of things, all were heighted from the shiver he felt through his body.
This was the first of the trials, the statues were many and they looked vial, gargoyles were the first ones he saw... he kept on walking, with his scouter flashlight on.
Soon he saw one of the statues move, there was only one and it was running forward... a weighted death punch broke it into pieces. It broke like glass really fast but middy was going to have to do more then this to last. He kept walkin until a pillar guarded the way, He was still relaxed at 3/4ths of his real strength with the cold air keeping him from using ki suppression, he now opened his mouth and let a stream of flames come out, this melted the pillar but this was going to take time, the frozen pillar got lower and lower, his precog jumped up. The statues were coming to grab him so he jumped up, firing blasts from his right hand, this being a mastered fundamental breaking each statue that began to assemble. But more were coming from where he was, 20 of them were running and climbing the half melted pillar wit claws, hissing and screaming as they showed their razor sharp jaws.
Making it to the top the monsters moved faster, he fired more blasts as they were still coming. He now started running to the other side, this pillar was long like 2 miles wide.
He jumped off just in time as the statues made it up and were coming at him, he now started sprinting to the degree that would have been seen as a fast moving portral of a convict on the run when they broke out of jail.
It was going to be a long run but soon two more were seen running toward him, now gathering energy in each hand and fired an energy wave from each hand, breaking them both like taking a bat to a mirror.
He saw another pillar and cupped his hands to his right hip while running and at the same time more were coming, from left to right and even under him but he coulden't sense them so he jumped, 30 feet and discharged a turtle style wave which hit the next pillar, breaking it somewhat as there was even more comming; now using powered flight he went over it fast and made his way continuing but there was even more, it was getting colder so he had to make it or freeze to death, a thick stream of flames melted the statues down as well as this being another pillar, a hard heat phalaux broke it and he kept runing focused, he saw the end and he now used powered flight to make it before he froze to death, suddenly the ice crept and began to freeze him solid. Soon kaioken was used and it broke the ice, shooting forward until he made it to the end...

"Well navigated," her voice broke through the frigid air, infused with a touch of warmth that belied the surroundings. "But this is only the prologue. Are you ready for the next chapter?"
With another graceful flourish over the holographic console, the arctic realm began to shudder and ripple, as if reality itself were a mirage wavering in the heat. The towering glacial walls and frosty ground shivered, their icy forms liquefying into cascading waterfalls that flowed upward, defying gravity; the water droplets suspended mid air, forming a shimmering curtain that separated the frozen world from what lay beyond.
"As you cross this veil," Katelyn’s voice meandered through the mist, "you step into the next trial. Pass through."
The curtain of water droplets would part should Middy approach, allowing him passage into the next realm - a sweltering desert with winds carrying grains of burning sand. From biting cold to blistering heat, the transition was as disorienting as it was instantaneous.
Sinking into the hot, shifting sands, an ominous vibration shuddered below the surface. The sensation radiated outward from the point of impact, the sand bubbling softly, almost teasingly. With a guttural hiss that seemed to erupt from the belly of the earth, a massive slithering figure burst forth, its gaping maw aimed skyward, fangs dripping with venomous hunger. The creature’s scales glistened like molten gold under the blazing sun, and its eyes - coal black orbs - fixed on the Saiyan with burning intensity. In a single, sinuous motion, the serpent dove back into the sand, leaving behind a spiraling mound as evidence of its passage. The ground itself seemed to hold its breath, waiting for the creature's next explosive emergence. Every step forward risked rousing it from its burrow; every moment of stillness allowed it to better pinpoint its prey.
Meanwhile, the air began to shimmer at the horizon, the heat distorting reality as if taunting the student's senses. Then it twisted, the atmosphere coiling in upon itself as it spawned a swirling whirlwind; twisting about like a dervish, it was a twister of heated air and abrasive sand, cutting across the desert floor in an erratic dance. Its form was a translucent pillar that tore through the dunes, flinging sand into the air as if conjured by an invisible hand.
The dust devil approached, its churning core emitting a haunting whistle that mimicked the wail of a lost soul. As it grazed past, it tried to engulf Middy in its swirling vortex, the granules of sand stinging against skin and fabric like tiny darts. Visibility plummeted within its funnel, turning the world into a dizzying chaos of earth and sky.
And up above, it was not tranquil either; the sky above pulsed with an unnatural intensity. A radiant beam descended like a celestial lance, shattering the air with its blinding light and suffocating heat. The atmosphere crackled, each molecule supercharged as though set aflame. Shielding one's eyes provided only meager relief; the flare's brilliance infiltrated eyelids and seeped into the mind's eye, creating an internal blaze that could easily unseat focus and resolve.
As the flare retracted, the desert seemed to sigh in collective relief, but the tension remained palpable. Moving through the sands and the blistering heat required both skill and stamina - the second trial began.

Midnight now passed the first trial but it wa far from over, soon after the raindrops parted ways when the saiyan elite approached as he went into the next phase of katelyn's survival trial, the winds blew in grains of sand that were burning and the heat could be felt by midd it was hot as fuck, the air was hot and sticky then something came out of the sand, it was some sort of sand snake but his eyes as it made contact were seen a orbs whic were black coal and it's scales were a form of gold that the saiyan elite never saw before. The snake now had it's eyes looking real hard at the saiyan before going back into the ground, this wasn't a game or for sport, this yet again was work and on top of that a creature was constructed by the very desert wind until it came to life as what was called a dust demon trying to trap the great damiao midnight in a sandy cyclone made by said dust demon. Middy now put a field of energy as he used the body shield method to keep the sand from affecting him as he jumped in to defeat the dust demon which was more dangerous than anything he faced. This was a dangerous trial as he was spinning around in the tornado, using his bukujutsu method to move even faster than the tornado, now firing two double energy wave, one from each side to escape the sand storm and using his ice blast ability, froze the dust demon, causin the cyclone to fall to the ground only to sense the sand snake coing up which made him jump up and discharged a strong super sized kamehameha down to the snake who's mouth was open as it was ready t devore the saiyan warrior was who now used powered flight to get out of harms ways and he used a skill which was one of his more dangerous to hold the sand snake from attacking and then began to crush him with a special tech and soon the worm was screaming as the body was being compacted and it was beginning to thiis trial off and this was crazt he hadto find a way out, He now fired a blast at the sand snak who came downb amd the saiyan elite quickly charged up energy and dicharged a strong double tsuhidan to the core of it's body which hit and caused a large explosion but didn't kill it but made it mad, now using cryokenesis to freeze it solid, causing it to drop to the ground and not have it moving around. It looked like this could be the end of it, but for good measure he formed a black orb of energy and hurled it directly at the mentally frozen worm and it was strong enough to break it into pieces, a large explosion was soon heard and it caused the sand to kick up in all directions, this being the very end of the golden sandworm; the sonic boom was strong and powerful but the ki suppressors were enough to keep the chamber from exploding. Now the dust devil came back as the heat caused it to melt out and a strong tornado now was rushing the saiyan elite whom used the fire breath method to burn it down cmpletely. It was finally over but now it was time to quickly look for a way out which was easyer said than done since looking for a needle in a haystack would be simpler that finding the exit.
The saiyan warrior kept looking and used powered flight with his body shield to find the end of this trial. He was having difficulty until he found an oasis which he touched down in. The room went on for miles and miles and middy needed a break.... he was sweating to the point the saiyan was going to pass out, it was strainious even with ki mastery to the level of god degree, he had to breathe and rest for a little bit since the heat took alot of energy out of him.

Katelyn initiated the transition sequence on the holographic console, the tactile feedback resonating like a soft hum under her fingertips. A dramatic spectacle unfurled before them; the hot sands of the desert started to give way - with each grain transforming into a shimmering droplet of water, leaving behind a glistening pool that eventually became an expansive sea.
Before Middy could step into this next realm, Katelyn materialized at the boundary that separated the sweltering desert from the mysterious new expanse. The line was tenuous yet palpable, a dividing where fire met water, and heat clashed with the possibility of cool relief just beyond the oasis that Middy had landed in. She stepped through the iridescent veil that marked the passage, her figure now framed by the contrasting elements of desert and water.
"How do you fare, Middy?" her voice was softer now, "The path to mastery is not a sprint but a marathon. It's essential to know one's limits, even while striving to transcend them."
For a moment, her eyes locked onto his, as if searching for something beyond mere physical exhaustion - a flicker of spirit, perhaps, or the dying embers of resolve.
"Do you wish to continue, or shall we pause? The sea ahead offers new challenges, but it also requires the fuel of your spirit and stamina. Your choice will dictate the next chapter of this journey."

The trials were trying and tiring, he used alot of stamina from all of those attacks, he quickly drank a potion and his stamina came right back, he was refreshed by the liquids and apparently was ready for the next trial, he had no where to be right now nor did he have any serious missions to do right now. His brow stopped sweating and it was time to move forward... looking at katelyn. "Yeah, we could continue but... we need to get YOU super effient and there's a book we need you to absorb to really be at your fullest, it's on toffit so lets just take a break for now."

So he seemed alright, although certainly a little worse for wear. But that was to be expected - this trial wasn’t for the faint of heart.
The dark elf waited patiently as Middy took a swig. It wasn’t the water one would request, gasping of thirst amidst the sweltering heat - but, such a potion apparently rejuvenated the Saiyan enough to return to his former self. No doubt the trials were exhausting and tiring; it was their express purpose, to push the trainees’ endurance to their absolute limits. The constant obstacles and dangers, the drastic changes in temperatures, all served to such a purpose.
“You did well, Middy,” Katelyn continued with a soft smile, “Traversing through two whole realms is by no means an easy feat. As expected from a Saiyan elite; you should be proud of yourself.”
“But…” she trailed off, her encouraging gaze shimmering under the desert heat - the twisting and turning of the heat waves transformed it into a more confused expression; as the waves splashed against the edge of the boundary behind them, she continued, “You say there’s a book on Toffit that can unlock my potential? What is that about, Middy? Can you explain a bit more?”

The saiyan warrior than spoke, "This book is a serious one, it has alot of dark power... dark enough to make a non disiplined mind go evil and sinister if they had no experience in black magic or in the most serious case... the most forbidden arts of grey magic... it's a serious book which could improve your masteries as well as change you. It's somewhere on toffit and its a dangerous piece of text since only dark people can learn from it, knowing you and your powers, you could drain the text off of the pages and still keep your resolve..." The saiyan elite stated to Katelyn.
"So after it's drain cleanly, it can be destroyed by me... since as far as i'm concerned, it has arts and method that you need to learn. The ememy always gets stronger because as you can see; the fights last much longer and are harder to win. You are worthy of taking this power and self refinement for self mastery and mage supremisy is important and i know you can for you have shown it countless times rain or shine, in battles, training and coaching. Your the only one i'll trust with this power due to your devotions."

It sounded fascinating.
Dangerous, surely - but fascinating.
The matters of such sealed contents could not be taken lightly, and whilst her pursuit of power remained tame compared to others, she couldn’t help but be curious at such an endeavor.
“Such an artifact cannot be tamed without a fight,” Katelyn muttered, more to herself than to Middy.
After a moment’s consideration, however, she gave the Saiyan a nod, "Very well," Katelyn smiled, “It may be a struggle, but struggle is a part of life. Come, it would be appropriate for you to rest now. Training too much yields too little in the face of all the effort you’ve made.”
Her hand moved in the air, her fingertips tracing an intricate pattern. With a final touch, the world around them shuddered, as though exhaling a long held breath. The chamber flickered, the boundary between the desert and the sea quivering before melting away; both droplets of water and grains of sand dissolved into the ether, leaving only a growing fog that swallowed both of them whole.
Gradually, even that had cleared, revealing the metal walls and advanced machinery of their original setting - a space ship drifting through the dark reaches of space. Stepping away from the machine, Katelyn reached over to hand Middy a towel, “Perhaps a shower is in order?”

This was going to be serious and trying as he reached his limit. Tired from the change from cold to hot made him sweat alot. This wasn't a lie as his gui was never dry. He arrived at a point where he knew these tests and trials would never end just like sage and time would never blend. "It's going to be difficult to get the book, it's a dark book where lives would be taken to gain such powerful material... your skilled and knowledgable enough so i don't think you really need it. If you did get it, your character could be defeated so at the end it's just dark text..."
He looked at the realm fading away and going back to being a reinforced gravity chamber then looked at katelyn. "Yes time to take a shower, we've been at this for a couple of long hours, you go first, but don't use up all the hot water!" He said in a bantering tone.
