Riki VS Juch
Juch — Today at 6:11 PM
At Riki's expression, Juch let out a small chuckle. He gestured towards the road ahead, inviting the pajama wearing girl to continue down the yellow path with him, "The 'cookie', in this case, would be the astral realm - and, if I'm on the right path - these are the dregs leftover from countless connections to it."
Yan — Today at 6:43 PM
The Astral Realm. That sounded really familiar like something multiple people had explained to her at multiple different points in time. Only understanding that much—that she should know—Riki nodded along after a moment’s pause. She walked with the gesture, looking down at her mismatched socks for a second. She could understand dredges of course. They were in a place made of many different coffees!
“So that’s why things are so bizarre?” she asked, looking back down the path. “But why are there so many multiples? Is there just an astral realm full of flamingos?”
Juch — Today at 6:51 PM
"The astral realm can be as bizarre as you would like it - and, you may mold it to have it make as much sense as you'd like," Juch nodded as he followed Riki's gaze and movements down the immaculate path, "But, after playing with their toys, there hardly is much clean up to do; people just disconnect and go about their day afterwards."
"It can be a realm just filled with various knick knacks, as you've said. Or, it could be the accumulation of so many flamingos over eons of suburban backdrops," he looked to her, "Is this your first time in a place like this?"
Yan — Today at 6:55 PM
“Sounds like somebody needs to clean out the filter,” Riki said to Juch’s explanation. All the flamingos lost down the drain into the world’s worst coffee. He said something that interested her though—that they could control it to a degree.
She decided not to lie however and nodded. “I think so,” she added with about as much certainty as declaring this not a dream. “If you can mold it why settle with the leftovers?”
Juch — Today at 7:06 PM
"Perhaps some maintenance needs to be done around here," Juch agreed with a light hearted nod. The path continued to meander, as the rows upon rows of plastic decorations had reached their end, instead being replaced with fluffy, rolling cotton balls. They bounced away like tumbleweeds, leaving the distinct smell of strawberry milk in their wake as they moved across the yellow road, "But it's difficult to do so without knowing where the trash can is."
"I could certainly move us away from here, or change things to something more suitable, more normal," the android continued, "But, I like to study things. And in order to figure out how things tick, you have to let nature run its course, y'know?"
Yan — Today at 7:42 PM
“This could be the trash can,” Riki mused at Juch’s words, taking another glance about as if she might find the place dripping with a mysterious ooze. Juch went on though, and she stopped her search for gross substances to try and see what would be worth studying here. It was all a mess of randomness. “Do people not know how the Astral Realm works?”
Juch — Today at 7:46 PM
"You may be right," Juch diverted his attention briefly from Riki to side step a horde of cotton balls. Goodness, that was close, "But, this is my first time being here, so I wouldn't know for certain."
"We know superficially how it works. There have been a few studies conducted on it," the android answered as he moved back to Riki's side, "But do we understand it fully? No, I don't think so."
Yan — Today at 7:48 PM
“Seems quite arrogant to trust your brain to something when nobody knows how it works,” Riki said more thoughtfully. “But then, I wasn’t really given much of a choice was I?”
