The Forgotten Saiyan 752/752 “The destination is the journey… That is a very interesting thought process to live by. I wish I could have met this woman and gained some great insight by her. Maybe I need to re-evaluate how I live my life and make the best of it every moment. The last couple of months I have done nothing but search for power to try and prove to my father that I can be a strong saiyan and possibly best him in a one-on-one battle”As Tarble idly spun his glass on the table, Grier's question lingered in his mind. The notion of settling down hadn't crossed his thoughts before, especially considering his young age of sixteen. In the Saiyan culture, proving one's worth and strength was the traditional path to winning a Saiyan woman's heart. Yet, Tarble had only begun to tap into his latent power recently, making it impossible for him to adhere to that norm. Being so young, the concept of committing to such a union hadn't even grazed the periphery of his considerations. Pouring another round of whiskey into his glass, Tarble relished the unfolding conversation that connected him with someone from a distant corner of the universe. After topping up his glass to three-quarters full, he gently returned the bottle to the table. Savoring a sip, he pondered deeply over Grier's recent question. “This whiskey is good, I am starting to get a buzz but I think it is helping me open up a little more than usual. Grier seems like an interesting warrior that has been trained well. I think he could be a good adversary in the future if we ever run into eachother”As Tarble carefully set down his cup, a brief silence enveloped the room before he spoke, "The idea of settling down never crossed my mind, especially at my age of sixteen. Among Saiyan women, strength holds immense value; a warrior's prowess is their allure. Yet, I've not had the chance to prove myself in battle, making it unlikely for me to pursue such a path. In my youth, there was a Saiyan girl I admired, but she existed in a league above mine. Being born into a lower class among Saiyans, she wouldn't have spared me a glance," Tarble explained, pausing momentarily before indulging in another sip of his whiskey. Reclining in his chair, Tarble reflected, "There was a woman I met on Toffit whom I felt a connection with. But given our different origins from separate planets, a relationship seemed daunting. I'm still on a journey; a quest I cannot halt until it reaches its conclusion. Discovering my father's identity shifted my plans, and once I've unraveled this situation, perhaps there'll be room for a woman in my life." “I do not even know where to begin on talking to woman. Every female I ran into on planet Earth wouldn’t even talk to me. They did not seem to care too much about who had power. I am wondering if every race is different or is only planet Earth like that”Tarble pondered aloud, "Could I possibly have children, or do I even desire them..." His hand rose to his chin, thumb and forefinger gently rubbing it as he thought further, "I've never been schooled on the role of a father or what it entails. While I know I'd never abandon them, regardless of their power level, akin to a low-class Saiyan, at this juncture, I don't envision children in my future."As Tarble concluded, he rose from his seat, pacing toward the dojo's edge, where he stood, gazing towards the sun. "All my life has been steeped in conflict and chaos. The incessant drumbeat of the Saiyan necessity for battle echoes constantly. Everywhere I turn, there's a call to fight. In this universe, stagnation breeds weakness, compelling me to relentlessly push myself for strength. It's not merely about disproving King Vegeta; it's about avoiding a confrontation where I'm powerless to defend myself."With a deep breath, Tarble posed a question to Grier, "Do you ever wonder if there's someone out there, an unstoppable force wielding power that could rain destruction upon the universe? Lately, I've sensed the presence of formidable fighters, individuals whose might surpasses my own. It's this inner conflict, my Saiyan heritage, urging me to seek them out, to witness their capabilities." Turning to face Grier, Tarble added, "My motto is simple: it's not the core of who you are, but your actions and deeds that truly define you." Actions1. 2.

Tarble took a moment to contemplate Gier's question as he spoke. He swirled his whiskey in his cup and the silence between them lingered for a time, that was until he finally spoke up once more. The first thing he said to the martial artist shocked him, that being how young he truly was. Sixteen? Why, he was practically a child to him. Though that was the same age Gier was when he left home, so perhaps he shouldn't look down on Tarble for being so young. Settling down was the furthest thing from Gier's mind at that age, so he understood why Tarble admitted that such a thought never crossed his mind before.
He went on to go into elaborative detail about how strength mattered the most to Saiyan women, and how a warrior's prowess was apart of their allure and what made them attractive. It made sense due to the fact that the Saiyan race were a culture of warriors. Tarble also went on to confess that there was once a Saiyan girl that he fancied, but she was in a class above him and wouldn't have spared him any mind. That was unfortunate to hear - but that was the reality of things in several different walks of life.
Gier listened with great interest as Tarble spoke on a woman he said he had met on planet Toffit. The young prince mentioned that he had felt a connection with her, but their difference in origins made the relationship seem daunting. He was still on a journey he explained, one that he couldn't take time to halt or pause. That was a sentiment that Gier also agreed with - for him it was very similar.
However, the woman he met changed all of that. Esmerelda changed everything for him. She was kind, sweet, genuine and nice - she helped to shape how he saw the world now and allowed him to approach the every day challenges and struggles of life with renewed purpose and vigor. There was a charm in every interaction, every situation, good or ill, that would have been missed had he not met her - yet she had such a profound affect on him on only a short amount a time.
Once more Tarble continued to speak, answering Gier about whether or not he thought about having children of his own. Tarble questioned if he even had the desire for children at all, then continued to say that he needed strength to protect himself, and how that was his focus. It was true that in this Universe conflict was inevitable, and there were those who preyed on the defenseless. Gier encountered such situations himself during his travels and it made him realize how fortunate he was to have the ability to protect himself. Not everyone was as fortunate.
Now it was Tarble's turn to ask Gier a question as he peered into the horizon where the sun shone down upon the pair. He asked Gier if he ever wondered if there was someone that had an immense amount of power capable of reigning destruction upon them. For a moment Gier contemplated by cupping his chin in thought, his eyes bore into a painting on the wall of the dojo, one that bore the figure of a demonic being of yore.
"I might have heard a tale or two. Stories of beings that have the power to destroy worlds. Can't say that I've met someone who has done that though," Gier admitted.
When Tarble mentioned his motto all the blonde martial artist could do was nod his head sagely.
"Interesting. I like that," Gier flashed him a smile. "What do Saiyans do for fun? Other than fight that is. Did you play any games as a kid, like hide and seek or something? My childhood was pretty boring, but there were rare occasions where I was able to sneak out and play tag," Gier said.

The Forgotten Saiyan 603/1,355 Grier stunned Tarble by revealing tales of warriors rumored to possess the ability to obliterate entire planets. Yet, in all his encounters, Grier had never encountered anyone wielding such unfathomable power. Tarble was utterly astonished at the mere idea that such formidable might could exist within the vast expanse of the universe. “If there is anyone out there with this type of power, how could I contend with this. How does one person have the ability to destroy a planet. To have power like that would be on the same level with the gods. I just became a super saiyan and that took everything I had in me. How could I even get close to that type of power by the way that I am going. Now I am intrigued to meet one of these foes and ask them what they did to get that type of power”
Now it was Grier's turn to pose a question to Tarble. He inquired about the activities Tarble enjoyed as a young child, curious about the games typical Saiyan youngsters engaged in. This question put Tarble in a quandary; his own childhood experiences were unlike those of most Saiyans. Nonetheless, he opted to respond based on what he presumed ordinary Saiyan children might partake in. "From birth, Saiyans are categorized by their innate power levels, determining their initial rank. The higher the power level, the higher their status. It's a belief among Saiyans that those born with greater power have an elevated potential for rapid growth, often ascending swiftly to the elite ranks. Conversely, lower power-level infants undergo rigorous tests and treatments to assess if they can meet the expected standards," explained Tarble, pausing momentarily to gather his thoughts. Tarble cleared his throat, gathering his thoughts before speaking. "My experience was rather distinct. As I mentioned earlier, I entered this world as one of the weakest Saiyans on record. Consequently, I was fated to be classified as a low-class Saiyan for life. At a tender age of two, my arduous training began; a relentless regimen encompassing schooling and diverse combat techniques. Because my power lagged behind my peers, I faced more severe trials and tribulations. I often remained longer in training, enduring additional sessions imposed by my masters. Living with a foster family whom I believed to be my own, I was oblivious to the distinction. However, my foster father consistently marginalized me from his biological children. I naively perceived this treatment as customary for an elder low-class Saiyan, but now I comprehend that he never regarded me as part of his family. I was merely a burden to him, tasked with all household chores so his true offspring could devote themselves wholly to their training."“Now that I think about it, I might need to stop by his house and pay that family a visit as well and show them what I have came of. I know they will not be happy to see me, since I would have shamed their family, but how could I shame a family that is not even my own” "I can relate to your childhood fate. The tag game you mentioned intrigues me; I'd love to learn more about it. Does your race have a similar ranking system for their young ones? Another aspect that caught my interest was when you mentioned Esmerelda. How are women regarded in your culture? Are they seen as equals and believed to wield significant power, akin to men? In Saiyan society, women are esteemed in battle as much as men." Tarble inquired, his curiosity piqued by the nuances of Grier's experiences and culture. Actions1. 2.

Tarble went into more detail about the intricacies of the Saiyan ranks in terms of strength and how they saw it. The higher the power a person possessed the higher the rank that they had. It was definitely in line with what Gier had learned about through the young Prince and from his travels, so he was not surprised to hear it from a Saiyan. Gier could relate however when Tarble went into further detail about his arduous training at a very early age. At the age of two he was nothing more than a toddler, and yet he was forced to train and fight.
That was a very similiar experience to what Gier had gone through. Ever since he took his first steps both his father and grandfather trained him in the way of the Shingen-Ryu style of martial arts. He had to learn to form a fist, to throw a punch, stances and katas and breathing techniques were all the foundations that were built upon his early years and even now his instincts remembered such movements. They molded and shaped him into who and what he was today in terms of being a fighter and the style in which he fought. It was unfortunate to hear however that the young Prince had been regulated to being treated unfavorably by his foster family. For him to be in the position that he was in now in spite of what he had gone through was nothing short of remarkable.
The blonde martial artist couldn't help but smile somberly. By comparison, all he had done was run away. Gier packed his belongings and left his father, he left his grandfather, he left the Zane Clan behind, his home world behind, and after all this time, had he truly become stronger for doing so? Of course he was fortunate enough to meet some kind people that helped him along his journey of self-discovery yet he somehow was unable to use it as fuel to face his demons so to speak back home. It was a bitter pill for him to swalloe if he were to look at it through such a lens.
Tarble then went on to ask Gier if his race had a ranking system much like the Saiyans did.
"My upbringing was isolated from most Damaskians, but it was seen as an honor to join the Damaskian Military, and even more so to be apart of the Shadowguard. If you served under Clark Pendragon and even happened to have found yourself in his inner circle, which is called the Chaos Council, then you can't get any higher than that. My Clan is affiliated with the Shadowguard since most members of my Clan tend to join their ranks. Our culture is very militaristic you can say," Gier explained to Tarble. Truly Damaskia was one of a kind - a planet isolated from the rest of the galaxy where its people were as xenophobic as they came. Gier didn't believe that he was superior to anyone due to his heritage or background, maybe that was a byproduct of his father and grandfather being harsh on him. Compared to them he was nothing - at least that was what he used to think.
"As for Esmerelda," Gier began to speak, his voice turned thoughtful and his eyes were sullen as the memory of her flooded his mind. "I actually met her after I left home and found my way to Earth. She was an Earthling that lived in a farm town outside of the City. There wasn't much around her besides cows and sheep, but she enjoyed working the farm with her uncle. She died awhile later though, but she lived a simple and happy life. Far away from troubles, from fighting, from martial arts, all of it. My time with her made me think if there was more to life ya' know?"
Gier broke from his stupor and regained his composure, reverting back to his usual jovial self.
"On Damaskia your worth is based on merit, I think Earth was the same way, though there are those among men and women who can choose to live in peace and solitude. If Esmerelda hadn't passed, then maybe I would have still been on the farm with her. But everything happens for a reason right? At least, that's what they say," Gier said with a touch of sadness in his tone.
"But let's switch gears for a moment. What planets have you traveled to? And which planets would you say that you liked the most? Are there any planets that you would like to visit in the future?" Gier asked out of curiosity.

The Forgotten Saiyan 538/1,893 Grier delved into his upbringing, painting a vivid picture of his childhood for Tarble. He explained the encounter with Esmeralda on Earth, knowing that Tarble shared a deep connection to that planet from his own experiences. Memories of those days sparked a warmth that contrasted sharply with the turbulence that entered Tarble's life after departing the woods. Grier drew parallels between the lifestyles of Earthlings and those of Damaskia, highlighting intriguing similarities.“I might have to go to this planet Damaskia that Grier is talking about. It seems like this planet is very similar to planet Earth, and I met a lot of great people on that planet” Grier inquired about Tarble's interplanetary travels, curious to learn which destinations had left a lasting impression. Tarble paused, reflecting on his recent journeying. "My travels have been quite varied," he began. "Much of my life unfolded on Earth, until Master Kami beckoned me to accompany Midnight on a pivotal quest to planet Avalon. Following that, our path led us to planet Toffit, where I've resided for the past few weeks. But soon, I'll return to Avalon, where my Saiyan rank two mission awaits me. Each Saiyan has to meet certain requirements before they can undertake a mission to acquire their next rank."Pausing briefly, Tarble took a moment to collect his thoughts and catch his breath.“Which planet is my favorite so far. Well, each one has their own pros and cons but I would have to say so far that I gained more knowledge on planet Earth than I did anywhere else” "Grier, if I had to pick a favorite, it would undoubtedly be planet Earth," Tarble shared with a hint of nostalgia. "It's where I encountered two remarkable masters, Roshi and Kami. Not to mention the myriad of diverse warriors I crossed paths with, engaging in brief spars and even a formidable battle against a Saiyan named Kaine."
“That battle with Kaine was a tough one. I had no chance against him. He is a powerful warrior and didn’t even go to his max in our fight. I can not wait to battle him again.” Taking a second to pause and catch his breath."I've got a lineup of planets on my radar, each holding secrets to unique techniques," Tarble explained. "One of them is Yaidrat, home to the instant transmission technique. Then there's planet Frieza, offering insights into other skills. My journey to becoming a true Saiyan warrior involves traversing these worlds. Toffit, while ok, lacks the allure I seek. However, I highly recommend their meditation chamber; it granted me substantial power during my stay."“I can not wait to learn instant transmission. I have heard a great deal about this technique and the individuals that live on that planet. I am hoping to possibly go there after my few weeks back on planet Avalon”"Since you're curious about my travels, I'm interested in hearing about yours too. Who knows, maybe there's something intriguing in your journeys that could captivate me. I'm particularly fascinated by Damaskia, the way you describe it. Have you encountered any special training spots on your travels? Any particular places that stood out for their unique training methods?" Tarble inquired with genuine interest. Actions1. 2.

When Tarble spoke fondly on Earth, Gier could not help but feel the same way. It seemed that they both had enjoyed their the humble planet, though it was for two very distinct reasons. The blonde martial artist didn't spend much time fighting at all, or training - his time was spent in local taverns and bars, restaraunts and malls, and in rural towns and abandoned roadways and insterstates. He truly embraced the vagabond lifestyle one would say, traveling from place to place and crashing at various hostels scattered about the planet. He met plenty of interesting people along the way, making friends of strangers on the road. However in all of his travels he never ran into a Master to instruct him. Thus, when Tarble spoke the names of Master Kami and Master Roshi the names did not ring any bells for him.
"Earth is a special place, no doubt about that. As I said before, that was where I met Esmerelda. My time there meant more to me than anywhere else. You could say it really helped me to change my perspective on life. And I didn't have to throw a single punch to do it. Funny how that works," Gier spoke fondly while his azure eyes stared at his balled fist.
Tarble continued to elaborate on the worlds that he wished to travel to. Planet Frieza was said to be a hotbed for the Planetary Trade Organization, and Gier was warned to never go there unless he had a reason to. Yaidrat he had not heard of, but was intriqued by the idea of learning a technique that allowed instantaneous travel. It didn't seem possible to him but Tarble seemed sure of it so Gier didn't question it. The Universe was a very strange place and more and more he began to believe that anything was possible.
"Damaskia is very imperialistic and xenophobic. I wouldn't recommend that you go there unless you have some business there. The locals can be quite hostile to outsiders, especially those that are friendly with Avalon. There's a lot of history there, and none of it is good, but personally I don't see why I should hate a group of people over something that happened a long time ago. That just doesn't make any sense to me," Gier spoke in earnest.
"After my friend Esmerelda passed away I was in a dark place. I felt hurt and alone and confused and I ended up heading to Planet Namek to help clear my head. I heard it was a beautiful and vibrant place and the stories didn't do it justice. It's absolutely stunning. The locals were friendly and helpful and their leader was a large and wise Namekian named Guru. He helped me find peace with myself. I can't thank him enough for that," Gier said, his voice was filled with gratitude.
"Right now though I'm on Kelioux training with a martial arts master named Puar. She's very strong, maybe the strongest person I've ever met. She's taught me a lot and really helped me expand my mind on what I'm capable of. You should pay her a visit sometime. Heck, maybe we could both spar her at the same time. I'm sure she'd be able to handle the two of us together, plus it would be fun," Gier said, offering Tarble an invitation.
