What happened…? Darkness was everywhere. The woman hunched over and remained still under the suffocating gravity of suppression. The entire world around her was greyscale and she did not feel as if she was in her own body. How long has she felt like this? How long had she sat here with her mind scrambled and unable to focus on any singular thought? How long had Plutonia been suppressed to nothing? All the events that were going by her, slipped through as scenes from a window a few feet away. Her eyes hardly ever looked toward it to see what her own body was doing out there. Her last memory was meeting her mentor again -- her father figure who had died years ago. He was the man that took her in and treated her as a daughter. He taught her all of the lessons she took to heart and used to fuel her daily life. But she should have known that he really did die all those years ago. This man she met again wasn’t him. He easily took control of her and weaponized her. It started on Kelioux. Thankfully he was too scared to unleash her there. When he learned how to control her power, he moved to small worlds. He used her to intimidate. He used her to harm. He used her to kill. Each time she watched her body perform in ways she would never, she cried. She broke, piece by piece until the inner version of her finally ended up like this. Grey. Cold. Helpless. Unfeeling. She finally understood now -- this is what happens when you refuse to endanger your friends in order to help you. Pluto didn’t even know if her friends were going to be safe anymore. If her body kept getting stronger under the control of her new master could she stop him from killing them? Learning the lesson of being a lone wolf and its consequences a little too late had broken the once human girl. Now she sometimes wondered did she kill who she used to be and would she be cursed to watch the new Pluto take over her own life.
The city was growing quiet from the screaming people and filling up with sirens and horns. Satan City had just suffered an attack on its people and the culprit was not hard to miss, a tiger the size of a large tank. Her eyes were burning red with evil intent as she mowed down groups of fleeing citizens and created critical and fatal injuries. It was evident that this creature was beyond the military capabilities of Earth as they swiftly attacked. Their ability to protect the infrastructure of the city was tested, and proved successful, but total destruction was never the tiger’s aim. She was there for pure violence and when she was attacked by weaponry and decently strong soldiers the tiger almost seemed to smile wickedly instead of what looked like the baring of her teeth. Her growls sounded like laughs of pity and her gaze felt like a mixture of condescending and disappointment when she created fatal wounds on her attackers. The tiger seemed to be searching for stronger and stronger prey, her thunderous stomps shaking the streets as she ran. She had finally stopped when she found the boy. In her eyes there was an iota of recognition to who the boy was, but that also fueled her attack. She knew he was worthy. Her first strike came quick, hard, and powerful. Her paw, itself bigger than the boy’s entire body, swung like a baseball bat to a ball. The tiger roared as she went for that homerun shot to send him into the toughened exterior of the nearest building. Her roar continued until her body shimmered with a bright white light, the tiger’s form shrinking and becoming a more humanoid silhouette. The white light dimmed down to show a hybrid human and tiger woman who rushed after the boy ready to plant two fists into his chest as she stopped and took on a familiar fighting stance -- Puar’s fighting stance. The hybrid woman then shoved forward with both her fist, a sickening and gloopy black aura dripping from her knuckles and around her body. If she could, she would try and punch through him with all her force and then let out another roar, this time shrieking and high pitch enough to try and disorient the boy. Shortly before the tiger’s rampage, Joseph sat outside West City’s borders in a forest. He had passed the time running around the woods until coming across a lake where he decided to relax by sitting by it and skipping stones. The boy kept a handful of rocks to the side of him, casting them to skip them across the water to see how far he could get them; for the most part, it was two to three skips, sometimes four or five if he was lucky. Joseph didn’t have a goal in mind, other beating his current record of five.
He opened his mouth and placed his mouth over it as he sounded a small yawn. It wasn’t too late, and he wasn’t sleepy; it was more from boredom than anything else. Joseph picked up another rock and drew his hand back to cast it across the lake before a feeling struck him. Joseph turned his gaze to Satan City’s direction. It was a vast energy with an ineffable intensity, and not only that, the presence surrounding it felt distressed and also eerily faded as the wild energy traversed the City. The ominous energy rampaging would have already been harrowing enough if it was doing it where his friends and family lived: his mother, Karen, James, and Emily.
Joseph dropped the stone as he jumped to his feet, a bright blue aura enveloping him as he dashed before the rock had hit the ground. He was already in West City, speeding south, blowing the branches of trees as he passed and running across larger lakes, causing the waters to part as he crossed them. A sonic boom thundered through the air as he rocketed to Satan City.
While running, he heard a beep in his earpiece and pressed a button on the side. It shifted to the form of a vizier. “Joe. Are you ok?” Rose asked. “Something is happening in Satan City.”
“I know, I’m fine. I’m on my way to the City,” Joseph said.
“The military and first responders are evacuating the City. I’ll send you the routing details.”
“Thanks.”
Rose linked the routing details on the Satan City app to the boy’s vizier. After a few clicks to cast the data to his vizier to his contacts, he reverted back to an earpiece and checked the routes while scanning for the energies of his loved ones in the city. None of them were downtown, which quailed his worries a bit.
Joseph followed and first responders he caught on his way to the wild power signature, appearing as a blue blur as he raced through the streets, taking time to scour ruined buildings and rubble and picking up the people trapped under rubble or lying on the roads too hurt to stand on their own power. The blue wind of a child quickly made its way to them and dropped them off near ambulances in the area. Some were unconscious, and any that were awake frantically looked around with wide eyes, wondering where they were so suddenly.
While on the roads, he found crashed cars on the road, many left unmanned. They totaled after questionable swerve to avoid the rampaging figure or evade another vehicle that was trying to evade the rampaging figure. Any empty cars he found that could block the path, he curled into a ball, ramming into them to spread them out and make space for those working to clear the area.
The bestial feeling aura drew nearer. Joseph continued toward it, determined to put an end to the creature’s rampage. He was on the block where the beast was, clouds of smoke blocking his view until he passed through them and skidded on his soles to come to a stop. He stood and stared at what he found: a gargantuan tiger facing him with a predatory gaze. Suddenly, Joseph perceived a sense of focus in its aura. It wanted him and quickly made its first move.
The tiger made its swift, fierce advance. An enormous swipe of its paw collided with the child’s person, sending him flying back, crashing through the wall of a mall, and landing on his back. Joseph coughed and groaned, breathing heavily as instinct drove him to promptly replace the air knocked out his lunges. Joseph got to his feet a a flash of golden light covering him for a split second as he assumed his Super Saiyan form as he watched the figure give off a glow behind a cloud of dust and take a more humanoid form. As the smoke cleared, he saw the now anthropomorphic Tiger take a stance he recognized. “Puar?” Joseph said questioningly.
She struck at him again, launching both fists at him. Joseph stepped back as he swiped his hands in the way of the fist to sway them off their path. “What are you doing?” He stepped forward, shooting a jab at her jaw from his left, a hook at her chin from his fight, closed with an uppercut under her chin with his left.
The next shot, he patted at hand down at the wrist to before snatching it and trying to pull Puar to him as he swung an elbow to slam into her jaw. He let the hand go after and followed with two quick punches at her stomach.
Joseph bounded from the Tigress; who further pressed her attack. The Demi-Earthling shot his arms out to meet the Tigress rushing at him, an earthquake radiating through the streets as they collided. Joseph gritted his teeth as the tigress’ strength pushed him back; “Come on, Puar, what’s with you? You hurt a lot of people,” Joseph said as he tried to hold her back. Joseph grunted as he suddenly released his tension and pivoted while hooking his arm around her waist, spinning her to steer her to the side, letting her own momentum carry her.
“Calm down,” Joseph said. The Tigress turned toward him and clamored an earth-shaking roar. Joseph flinched and stumbled back as the piercing shout made him dizzy. He shook his head and adjusted his stance, crouching slightly as he raised his hands to form a guard. Whatever was happening with Puar, he couldn’t let it go; he hadn’t seen a friend of his so out of control since Goku Jr. became an Ozzaru. The Demi-Earthling jumped toward the Tigress, the moment he landed he stepped a step and thrusted his arm forward shooting an open palm at her torso, attempting to knock the wind out her to hopefully sap that nervous energy.
Joseph then drew his hand back and assumed a t-pose for a split second before clapping right in front of the Puar’s face. If she didn’t resist it she’d find herself feeling dizzy and disoriented, just like what her roar had done to him.
He wasn’t done there. Joseph quickly reached behind his back pulling out his staff from the case over his shoulder, twirling it in his hand and raising it over his head and snapping it down to slam over the Tigress’ head. He then released one hand from the staff and held it in Puar’s direction, a golden light emitted from his palm before a golden beam shot from it, threatening to send her flying back and assaulting her vision with an overwhelming excess of light.

"Oh," the tigress let out when she went to strike. She felt his movement as he swiped it away swiftly, giving her a notion of his speed. His jab, hook, uppercut combination hit after images that left a purple haze behind. She moved between them with masterful footwork and anticipation. He tried to take hold of her hand, which was successful but while he was holding onto her he could feel her power burst. The burst sent a ripple of pressure throughout the streets. It shifted cars and knocked energy rifles out of the militia’s grasp. Her muscles tensed as he pulled her in closer with a swing of his elbow and two quick jabs to her stomach. She doubled over but only chuckled through the pain. Her charge, with that black, murky energy swirling around, collided with his arms. While they grappled, she said to him, "You are a Saiyan."" Her nose twitched as she sniffed the air. “That is why you recognized me huh? That sensitive Saiyan nose, now how come I have never met you before.” The pressure the both of them exuded crashed into the buildings and cracked the windows. It put anyone that was brave enough to be around in awe. “Were you not a big enough threat to make the poor girl go blank? Let’s see -- Joseph. That is what I have in my memory.” Finally, the Saiyan boy took a pivot. Her rush carried on to the nearest building. She flipped her body and crashed onto the wall feet first, making a thunderous thud sound. The Tigress kept her eyes on her prey, a low growl escaping her grinning maw. When he jumped toward her, she pounced off the wall. She avoided the torso shot, but not without admiring his form. It reminded her of this body’s form a bit, but there were mixtures of another style with it. An aura of fire exploded from her skin attacking the boy in response and while she landed behind him. She followed up by pivoting around to his front side with two rough punches toward his body and a lighter punch in the same area. Body shots. She had experience. She knew targeting his body and making his knees weak would be key. This would keep him honest and predictable with his speed. It was that and staying close to him that mattered most. Puar did not want to let up and give him a chance to follow up with anything. Keeping herself close to him left her susceptible to the strange clap in her face, though. It halted her for a moment. Her vision blurred and she danced a bit drunkenly all while he pulled out his staff. Her nose twitched at the earthen scent of his stave’s power and that was more than enough to snap her out of the stupor. She gathered herself and her surroundings just in time, and side stepped from his strike. Her aura seeped from her skin then. It dyed the surrounding area an inverted contrasting hue. The hue would feel jarring to natural vision. She was honing her energy and focus, especially when she saw the gilded light flash at his palm. When the beam flew from his hand and rushed toward Puar, her sidestep and dash were both jarringly fast. Her eyes did not focus on the purity of the light. The intense brightness made her uncomfortable. It was like a direct ray of sunshine that could blind her. Her eyes were on him and him alone. The militia and their comically bad aim did not matter. Energy shots fired all around them. They did not care if the boy was hit either -- they wanted the tigress down. Even with their bravado and bravery, they did not matter. They failed the strength test. She rushed at Joseph, with that golden beam still in view and dissipating into a trail of beads at her side. Sure, the boy could see her approach. But to the men and women around them, they saw a dark beam of light. It rushed at the boy like a ki attack, when in reality it was just her. Her abrupt stop caused another explosion of pressure. It knocked away the men, vehicles, and tanks that were still standing. Puar ended up directly in-front of the boy with the devil’s eyes, staring down upon his small frame. She may have been smaller than the massive tiger, but her presence felt so much bigger. She pressed her intimidating presence down on him with six motions. They looked like fist strikes. They never touched him though, her fist that is. Instead, black energy constructs shot out from her fist to attack his body. They created a mid-range attack that looked like blasts of energy. With a large breath taken in, she screamed at him. Black energy flushed outward to engulf his entire body. It engulfed any man strong enough to still be standing after everything before them. Joseph was right. Puar had hurt a lot of people. She had intimidated civilizations. She had killed generations. And now everyone could see her recklessness on full display. She attacked Joe only. She did not care about the brave military men and women who stayed behind to help people escape. The buildings were chipping, and the streets were cracking. This was a true testament to Earth’s resiliency up to this point. How long though? How much longer could the city withstand their might? How many previous fatal wounds have already been added to the body count? How much longer could these people go without casualties on the battlefield? Puar did not care to use this against the boy however, which may be even more dangerous. It was evident her eyes were only for him as she rushed at him again for another charge. This time, when she tackled him or got close, she unfurled her fist. Dark energy glinted around her knuckles. She swung toward his body, regaining her footing into her style once again. She maintained a close proximity with the Saiyan boy. “Call me Distora,” she said simply while near him. “Puar checked out a long time ago.” Turn Notes

“Huh?” Joseph sounded. When the Tigress spoke, asking how come they had not met. What did she mean? They had a handful of meetings in the astral realm, the tournament at Satan City, that one adventure with that guy, and the bridge. Was another metamorph pretending to be her? There was something off about the cadence and speech pattern. They gave off a different air from Puar’s. When locked in a grapple, the tigress spoke again, asking if he had not been a big enough threat to make her go blank before a brief pause and address him by name before he managed to fling her to the nearest wall. He shook his arms to shake away the soreness that built in the fleeting moments of resistance to their physical might. Joseph gauged Tigress’ strength to be beyond even Yua’s. He expected someone like Lilim or Anna to be able to boast about that, but seeing it from Puar flummoxed him. The tigress performed a feat of speed by dodging his palm strike. She landed and swiftly turned to face him, flames enveloping her before she pounded him with a set of heavy body blows. The first made the child hack and stagger, and each shot made him stumble farther before the last sent him sliding back, his shoes scrapping the floor before he stopped. He covered his stomach and fought himself to not double over as he panted. Breathing and standing felt herculean after that assault. Shots were fired, Joseph flinched as lasers passed him, and he leaped back to gain distance between the ongoing blaster fire and another possible pounce from the Tigress. Joseph kept backpedaling from her advance, widening the distance between them even while running backward. To the eyes of the onlookers, it looked like a blue beam retreating from the dark beam amid the chase. He steered half in half a circle to get farther from soldiers and their reckless gunfire. The shockwave caused by the abrupt stop felt like mild wind blowing against him as the soldiers and vehicles were not back. Joseph was more worried about the soldiers getting blown apart by a heavy shockwave in this than he was about their guns. He had to lure her away. A half dozen blasts followed the shockwave. Joseph stopped before ducking and shifting to weave between the first half before charging, breaking off into a charge, resembling a blue beam once again, weaving between the bolts as he rapidly closed the distance. A dart of his head narrowly allowed the final blast to whistle by from the point-blank position. His reprisal came as three snapping jabs, two fired at the stomach and the final one at the jaw. His swift backsteps put a meter between them in the time the tigress took her breath. Their breath was released in a scream, and another dark blast threatened to swallow him. Joseph shot his hand out. Wavy blue energy formed a hollow circle while it looked as if the air was rippling like a heatwave. The blast exploded against the shield as Joseph held his ground, holding his other hand to the side, blue electricity crackling from his palm before the blue ball of electricity formed around his hands. He waited for Puar’s blast to dissipate before he swiped his other hand. “Shock factor,” Joseph said. He tossed the basketball-sized ball of energy from the other hand; it spiraled and curved as it flew toward the tigress, aiming to put a shock to her system. She went for another charge; Joseph quickly grabbed his staff, pulling it out and holding it sideways in both hands just before she made contact. Joseph turned a ring that was placed toward the bottom of the staff, making a hexagonal shield appear. Another shockwave erupted as she crashed, and Joseph was driven back, but with the shield and staff absorbing the brunt of the impact, it was easier on his arms. Joseph stopped pushing and let himself get dropped to his back. He was sure the sudden loss of resistance would make her stumble. It was akin to playing tug-of-war, letting go of the rope, and then letting go of the rope, whoever on the other side falls. When she was on top of him and the shield, Joseph launched his arms overhead to drive the momentum that would carry her farther. If things went to plan, she’d crash through the wall of the building and end up inside the mall cleared-out mall. Joseph quickly rolled back to his feet, clicking the back of the shield to make it a small ring on the staff again before. When Puar made her next move, Joseph to her with the staff in hand; just before he entered the reach of the blow, Joseph rapidly twirled the cudgel between his fingers; it blurred like the wings of a fan on max setting before sending out an intense wind that pushed against Puar and repulse her blow and disperse the ki empowering it. He responded to the speaker stating their name and saying Puar was away; before those words, he was all but certain of the suspicions from when she started speaking. “So you possessed her?” Joseph said, reflecting more so than asking. “I thought she was just hyped up on catnip or silvervine before.” Joseph then grabbed the staff with his other hand, holding it like a baseball bat before twisting his hips and swinging the bat with all his might to slam it across Puar’s body and hopefully send the Tigress flying into the mall or deeper into it. Joseph quickly spun his staff and put it away in its case before dashing to the tigress. Once he was close enough he did a quick kick at the side of her knee to force her to lower before quickly reaching for the back of her neck for a collar tie. He was trying to goad the Tigress into trying to overpower him. If she moved back, he’d push with both arms hard enough to knock the air out her lounges while also disrupting her ki flow to make her feel heavy like a cat emerging from a body of water. If she pushed against him, he pull back with her to break her posture then push against her shoulders to send her crashing into the wall behind her. "So hypothetically, what would happen if a Yaidratian Elder separated you from Puar with Forced Spirit Fission?" Joseph hoped the answer wouldn't be one or both of them would die or something. He had other ideas, like gathering the Dragonballs if this was over, but such a wish was beyond what Shenron could do, there was a third option he thought of...asking Keres for help, his least liked option, if Distora made him have to do that, she'd be liable to be his third most disliked adversary, below the unknown Rogue Saiyan that served the Cosmic Empire and Gill's sadomasocistic killbot, wait forth, he still had his heart set on throwing Blossom in Galactic Prison to join her sisters, wait fifth, there was Emi who have been trying to kill everything that moves like she's playing GTA online, wait sixth, there was Bubbles. He wondered if Buttercup would be up there with her sister. No she got knocked out before she had a chance to kill anyone on his watch, and he liked her moxie. Damn this boy had a lot of enemies. Joe’s counter to her attack made her step backwards with each shot and she grunted in pain. She was impressed by his strength and very disappointed in how fragile her own body was to his hits. When her massive spray of energy had shot from her mouth, her vision could see where her blast split. He formed a shield that broke her blast into two parts. He protected himself completely from her attack.
Even in her moment of worry, Puar was able to react when her blast faded away. When she charged forward again, she faced a sapphire the size of a basketball. When it crashed onto her murky aura, she felt the tingle of electricity but did not allow it to spark and shock her. Instead, she broke the energy down expertly and added it to her own. Once it had touched her aura, the blue ball darkened until it was as black as her energy. It eventually shrunk into nothing before she crashed into his hexagonal shield.
The crash indeed created a booming noise and a shockwave. The street below them finally gave up and let go of the earth below. Cracks formed in the concrete and the pieces that jarred loose off the ground flew around the area. She growled and even chomped at Joseph who was protected by his shield. Puar looked like a rabid animal and her grin held no resemblance to her proper character.
As Joe slid back, Puar felt she was winning -- up until he used her own momentum against her and flung her toward a building. She went rushing into the window, shattering glass and hitting the ground on all fours. The strength of her claws tore the mall tile to shreds. She slid, spun, and galloped at him with a monstrous roar, which had undertones of a giggle. She gathered her energy into her fist, before punching down on his spinning staff.
“You are an annoying defensive boy aren’t you,” she yelled at him. Her body buffed out, and her power rose right at the impact of his baseball swing. The swing was happening so fast that she could not react properly to it. She braced for it and pushed her body to a new limit. The swing had enough force to knock her deeper into the mall. But, the tension she created by increasing her power to its current peak only made her slide a few feet away.
Her body shook with pain and she mewled as the pain simmered down, but also as a tactic. When he approached her again, her mewling going on instantly turned into a simple, “Heh” as she looked up to him.
She exploded in flames to counter his approach and burn him at the same time.
She soaked energy from his blue ball and it transfigured into a shield of fire. The fire flared around Puar, but didn't push him away. Why push him away when she wanted him this close? He seemed to be halfway monologuing with himself, which was only a guess as she looked at him. Being lost in thought found a way to show itself in mannerisms.
“Well this isn’t a possession,” she stated whe he mentioned Forced Spirit Fission. “That won’t work, but good to know they still practice that technique.” It would take entirely too long to explain what was happening, when Puar just wanted to fight.
Now Puar didn’t care about hurting people, and whether that got out the way or not did not change or phase her. The mall was empty due to the evacuation protocol. She did look around to see if there were people to pick on. Maybe someone to help the poor boy.
His punches hurt and his resiliency had been felt and tested. But this personality was full of herself. He was going to need some help to deal with a former Kai, something the boy didn’t know yet. It would seem he knew nothing about Distora just yet.
Her fighting form hardened, with all of the murky energy that had cloaked her focusing on her hands. Her power as Distora should surprise him then as she pulled her main ability out her bag of tricks.
Shapeshifting the world around her.
The tigress let out an animalistic roar and struck his body with a six-piece combination. In tandem with her attack the air around the boy twisted and molded itself into perfect copies of her hands. They surrounded him from all angles and duplicated her attack. They made a dozen strikes, alternating between hard hitters and quick jabs.

The boy watched as the blue sphere quickly lost shape and took a new form as a dark energy cloak. The technique wasn’t a surprise, but more so how quickly she reacted to pull it off. Joseph watched as Distora was flung through crashing through the window; Joseph promptly followed her inside, and she quickly caught herself, paws tearing the ground as she violently broke her fall. Joseph didn’t feel the soldiers follow them outside. He surmised they were choosing to maintain their parameter. Hopefully, it will stay that way. The tigress showed frustration as she fought against the winds from his spinning staff. “You are an annoying defensive boy, aren’t you?” she said. “That’s my trademark,” Joseph said right before his swing drove Distora deeper into the mall. The boy felt her power jump up as she quickly stopped herself. Fire erupted from the Tigress to rebuff his strike. It made his blow fall short; as the flames made their way to him, Joseph extended his blue aura, placing an outline of energy between him and the dark flames, before the fires swirled around him and shifted from their dark hue to blue like the blast it once was. She answered him, saying it wasn’t a possession and that forced spirit fission wouldn’t work. That confused him further; if this wasn’t a possession, then what was it, a dissociative identity? Joseph noticed Distora looking around. He guessed she was checking for any stragglers that could interfere with them. The Half-Saiyan did a quick check of his own, looking through the windows, clothes shops, jewelry, bath and candle places, an unmoving escalator to the side of them. Joseph didn't see or sense anyone confirming they were alone in this building, and that’s how he wanted it. Distora’s eerie dark energy focused in her hands. He braced, thinking she’d rush him again; however, she came from another angle. He only caught a dark blur before he felt a fist slam into the side of his fiery shield. The boy quickly raised his arms to cover himself as he watched the fists pounding the barrier from multiple angles. This was something new toward the end of the combination. Joseph huffed and pushed his arms out as he cast out the fire surrounding him, making a fiery explosion that knocked the fist away as flames rushed through the area surrounding them. After the flames dispersed, the fists came toward him again. Joseph crossed his arms, and a light blue bubble of energy surrounded him, interposing itself between him and the blows that were coming rapid fire. He gritted his teeth as he concentrated on keeping it firm against the relentless blows and concentrated more energy before flexing and making the shield erupt. He sent a wave of blue ki that exploded against the fist and rapidly approached the Tigress that insisted on staying close. If she didn’t repel or escape it, she’d feel like a cat that just came out of the lake, weighed down and possibly feeling the flow of her ki impeded by the imposition of the energy. The punches kept coming; Joseph had gotten wise to their tempo, brusque darts to the side of the fists. He quickly shot a jab at her jaw before ducking under more of the punches as he swung a hook at her stomach and turned his shoulder to steer the final punch before shooting his fist up to nail her under her chin with an uppercut. The blows kept coming, kept his guard raised. He timed each turn of his guard in synch with her punches going in the direction of her blows to stifle their approach and sap the weight behind them. The moment her last punch met his guard, grayish-blue smoke discharged from where Joseph stood and quickly filled the floor of the mall, obscuring everything in the smoke. “Looks like you are learning about Distora, the Lahana who became a Kai. You don’t know how much danger you are in, kid.” She said. "That's never stopped before," Joseph said as he leaped to the side, landing on a sign and jumping off onto the railing of escalators that had been shut down as sped up to the second floor to gain distance. He had a photographic memory, so his quick glance was enough for him to remember where everything seen in his quick scan was. He wondered how his opponent would navigate the building with all the smoke. Well, nobody asked for it, but this is a story driven fight so I’m going INTO it. Skip to the end if you don’t really want detailed criticism. I feel like you two have planned this battle, and Puar set up the circumstance for Joseph to intervene and have a sensible sneak…and then despite that planning Joseph decided to ignore the setting of the sneak and start off in West City. Adds absolutely nothing to the battle and took away ALL the urgency of him trying to help people as he reached her, when it should have been her reaching him.
Now, one could argue the beginning of Puar’s post was also unnecessary, but I like a good emotional backdrop which is what that was to me.
Aria’s second post wasn’t smooth for me though. I had to make him edit it, and it shows a bit. I think there’s also a lot of countering going on that makes the whole thing messy, but Joe’s second post handles it better. It’s not as easy for me to follow exactly how she is following up as it is for what Joseph’s doing.
You can also tell Aria is trying to set the scene with buildings and height but with the current pace of attacks it’s not quite where he wants it to be. I can’t actually see the scene. I just keep getting random walls and buildings and oh, there’s police and stuff there. It lacks an overall picture besides “stereotypical city setting” which can be very different shit. In this post it feels like he’s pasting in pieces of the setting to give his actions more oomph rather than actually creating a scene.
Joseph’s Fortune Teller dodge on the Energy Dan sparked a pet peeve he should be very familiar with me having by now, which is adding extra steps to someone’s attack and being damn cocky it works. It’s all fair to say you ran backwards as Puar rushed towards you to try and keep distance between you to set up charging back again. It’s not well and fair to go in a full half circle purposefully leading her where you want to when your entire focus should be on just getting that distance and avoiding the attack. Call me old fashioned, but it also should be he TRIED to get that distance. Like, it would have gotten him a really good rp boost because I liked the rp of the charging back at her, but the set up to being able to rush back at her ruined the entire moment.
You are faster than her by a lot, but this is one of those examples where stats are just stats. I don’t care if your stats say you are 20x faster than someone, in the heat of battle it's just an advantage, not a factual statement that you can do 20 more things than they can. You literally cannot and have almost the same amount of actions as your opponent does. Have some awareness of your opponent’s intentions, and do what you can to manipulate things in a way that flows to the pace they are setting.
While I had complaints on Puar’s reactions in the second post he got his shit together and it rolls smooth af in his third. I could feel the flow but the environment points all go to Joe, who created it and continued setting the mall atmosphere in his third post using it to his advantage. Joseph also put a lot of work into his defenses and made them interesting while Aria just went “punches him from all sides a lot.” It did lack a sense of urgency that a swift overwhelming onslaught should probably have as you kind of inserted pauses where there weren’t necessarily any of them. You gotta assume she is in your face immediately with pressure despite your defenses, but it’s not like you had a lot to work with. TLDR: Joe, stop skipping rocks, wasting words and my time, stop trying to do extra shit in the middle of Puar’s attacks. Good job creating the environment and working in defenses with limited attack RP, but work more on your flow and urgency. Aria, if you’re going to use the setting create a clearer overall picture of it, continue to keep your responses clean, and if you’re going to spend 4 actions on combos, you really ought to put more effort into it especially when you know Joe is going to have a defense for all of them. This was a hard one, but while I was very critical of Aria’s second post it’s not a bad post. Honestly, if Joseph made his first post more impactful he would have stolen it, but I’m giving it to Puar. He’s on very rocky footing though. DR6 FS hurts and DR5 Smash hurts. Combos hurt too lol Puar: 16.10% Joseph: 12.89%

Each punch sounded like pistol fire, lacking its silencer. When her arms missed, they hit store walls and the mall floor. Though, when the flames hit her fists she felt them, smiling through her wince in pain. When the blue energy wave exploded against her fist, she fought through the weight. She was still disoriented and reeling from his earlier baseball swing. This weight was nothing to her. She felt something pinching at her chakra points, trying to weigh down her ability to use her own ki. Would it succeed? Her limbs failed to reach the boy. That did not stop them from ripping apart the mall. They danced like professional performers. Her foot work remained sound and key, twirling as she shot punch after punch. When she missed him, punches broke windows and chipped away tile from the walls. The common eye could not keep up with the two if it tried. She realized the boy was countering everything. She did not get frustrated. Puar showed a complete contrast to her earlier berserk nature. She composed herself. She caught on to his defense pattern. As he wizened to her tempo, she did the same for him. Their exchange left her reeling more than him. The hook to her stomach made her stiffen her footwork. The uppercut forced her to drive her weight downward to remain grounded. At this point, she knew that he would counter the next attack. She sent her three pistol shots at his guard, her eyes focused on him and him alone. The area around her darkened with her focus and she sensed the ki that was getting ready to explode from his body. She locked onto his ki signature and spun like a top to get away from him and the explosion of smoke. Her eyes shut to keep smoke out and prevent prolonged blindness. She followed his signature immediately after the hiss of smoke filled the mall and rushed him down, her eyes opening after the initial explosive threat that could have got into her eyes.Puar jumped and springboarded off the sign. She touched down on the escalator railing, then dashed at him on the second floor. Her movement was elegant and graceful like the cat she was. She hopped from one location to the next without using extreme force. She got close enough to him to shoot off a cannon-like punch. The punch had enough force to crush his sternum into paste if he decided to guard normally.Whatever her fist harmed would explode into rubble. The sound would echo throughout the mall, shaking the entire building to its core. With them on the second floor, the pressure behind the punch was so great that the flooring would crack. Then, it would collapse, turning this section of the mall into a one-story building. Yet, Puar would not fall downward with the rest of the second floor and would float instead. Her power level skyrocketed north of 6 million. Alarms immediately sounded throughout the city. In the mall, the two fighters could hear them like a strange distant echo. Her hand outstretched with her fingers spaced out nice and even. Sparks of energy popped around her body like mini fireworks. The tiny explosions worked their way to a focal point at the center of her palm.Behind the eerie red alert alarm going off would be a calm A.I voice stating:“City Level Destruction Detected. City Level Destruction Detected.” Puar's facial expression was still composed. Her eyes were now sharp with concentration, and her lips were frowning. “Only City Level, let’s change that.”“COUNTRY LEVEL DESTRUCTION. COUNTRY LEVEL DESTRUCTION.”She grinned as a black ball of energy grew, taking on the look of a black hole. By the time the dust and smoke began to settle, some of it whipped around the force of her pending attack. The ball of energy was now bigger than half her body. The A.I. that screamed didn't only scream to state the level of threat of the attack. It was also programmed to cloak the entire mall area in a defensive dome. The goal was to contain the attack's impact. “Boom.” She yanked her hand back and pushed it forward, sending the sphere of energy down toward the ruined mall. She aimed at the boy, but Puar knew the danger of the attack. She didn’t expect that boy to move fast enough to get out of the explosion’s range. Joseph could feel Puar’s energy following him as he made his way to the second floor. He looked over his shoulder, seeing her bounding from the sign to the rail like he had. The Half-Saiyan hopped off the railing and swiftly turned to face the Tigress’ direction. As she moved in and threw her punch, Joseph stepped and pivoted to the side of the blow; her fist brushed against his chest as he turned and sent a hook at her jaw. With how she moved in for her attack, she’d feel a lot more weight behind this punch than earlier. The power of her blow sent a shockwave throughout the mall and made the land surrounding the building tremble. Joseph felt like he was sinking, and the moment he glanced down, the floor gave in under him, sending him to fall back down to the first floor and land flat on his back. The child hopped back to his feet, narrowly ducking and running between pieces of shattered tile and glass. He looked up to the sight of Puar floating, feeling an exponential increase in her power before alarms sounded off. He heard a speaker say that city-level destruction was detected. Joseph gasped in shock at the idea of such an attack being used inside this building while it was surrounded. Puar, however, expressed disappointment before she said she’d fix that and formed a ball of energy in her hands as he felt spirit energy concentrating. Joseph widened his stance while spreading his arms out, holding his palms sideways. Red sparks of electricity flickered in his hands before a flickering red ball of energy formed in his palms, his own energy rising exponentially while he watched Distora prepare to bring her attack down. He brought his arms together, pressing his wrists together, merging the spheres into one as it grew brighter as the electricity intensified. He took a quick look toward one of the windows and saw the barrier forming and felt the soldiers standing outside it, which alleviated his worry. He took a breath and aimed Distora’s blast. With the amount of power he was working with and against, this needed to be surgical. When she pushed her hand and sent the sphere of energy down, Joseph rapidly fired a dozen blasts in its direction. Four shots curved with two on each flank. Two shots rushed, guided to explode atop the blast, with another two flying to the bottom of the explosion. The last four bolts swirled diagonally to strike the upper and lower sides of the blast. The volley encircled the precarious sphere of ki for just a moment before the first blast collided and burst against Puar’s own blast, making a beachball-sized explosion. The rest of the blasts followed in a chain reaction that ignited the sky like bright fireworks, each one making a shockwave that shattered windows and sent stands, mannequins, and tables flying across the floor of the mall. Each one becomes bigger and more violent, making the ground shake. The final detonation knocked Joseph on his back as the entire mall was lit up, bright light shining through every opening before another loud crash sounded; once the light faded, Joseph rubbed his eyes and looked up to the sight ceiling being blown to pieces, while chucks of the second floor were missing while rubble and merchandise from the stores were scattered all on the floor. It wasn’t the most clean blast cancel he ever did, but at least he kept himself from being blown to pieces. Joseph drew his hand to the side. A swirling ball of ki formed in his hands and expanded, electric sparks crackling as he pulled his hand back and then threw the electric sphere at Distora; wherever she moved, it would curve in her direction before splintering into multiple bolts of electricity that scattered in numerous directions to electrify Tigress. After that, Joseph discharged another cloud of smoke, filling the room while he remained where he was to stay within the cover of the cloud. The dance continued and the boy was showing his counter prowess. Her punch did not hit him, and the shockwave of her punch ruptured the integrity of the second floor. While he pivoted to the side, her eyes followed him, and her free hand deflected his jaw hook away. The boy sunk downward to the first floor like intended. Before she called forth the energy for her massive attack, Puar looked down at her hand. She felt the smallest tingles.
Deflecting that attack was crucial. If he had landed the attack, she would have been in a lot of pain. She charged and dropped her attack, like a meteor. The attack would bring destruction and test the integrity of the barrier around the mall. Joseph did what she expected him to do and what she expected most heroes to do -- stop it.
She curled her arms over her face. She found herself backing away from the boy's display of firepower used to break down the bomb. Puar hit the ground and maneuvered around stands, mannequins and tables. Glass shards shot everywhere and Puar had an admiration of his contained destruction. The final explosion sent pressure that knocked both of the fighters back. Puar slid on her feet and dug her claws into the ground in defiance from the push.
She broke through wall after wall of the mall. Piles of rubble fell in front of her as the mall crumbled into nothing. The building shook and whined all before it all came crashing down. The pillars were the building's staple. They were standing tall. Finally, they gave up and surrendered to their fate.
They had destroyed the entire mall.
The barrier wasn’t needed as much, with Joe succeeding in mitigating the splash damage. As it dropped the soldiers aimed their weapons at the rising smoke that used to be a massive mall building. They first saw a crackle of electricity zooming across the smoke. It looked like lightning in the clouds. It rushed at the silhouette of the tigress. Before it could reach her, that monstrous roar came from her throat. The lightning bounced all over the dusty area as she destroyed the attack.
Then, within the murky brown and dusty cloud, a whiter smoke escaped into the area. It was thicker than the thin dust in the air. As it spread toward the tigress, she dashed back and snarled angrily.
"Pathetic! You can't escape me! So long as I can SMELL you," she yelled. She dashed through the smoke as it diluted from distance. The soldiers could see her silhouette both times only a split second. When she moved from the smoke it felt like she disappeared while moving backwards. As she moved toward what they could only guess to be Joe’s shadow, she blurred away. It was as if she had moved too fast and erased herself from existence.
The scent of burning debris would fill the air as the perspective of the fight went back a close up of the fighters. After her charge toward him she was upon him with a fist of fire. She aimed for his body with a growling roar, the fire a maelstrom of incendiary destruction. She roared right after the pending impact, and a massive torrent of flames escaped her mouth. It was ready to engulf him and burn the area around them.
She swept her head which swept the fire like a flamethrower setting the ground around them on fire. After the earlier destruction, whatever little vegetation was left set ablaze. It began to spread throughout the entire city. It prompted the soldiers to summon the firefighters. The firefighters would soon be on their way to help contain the destruction. Joseph began to pant, feeling the toll of tossing out a heavy-duty blast. The boy made himself stand straight up and kept his breathing steady. He braced himself when he sensed her prowling toward him, dispersing the smoke as she rapidly closed the distance, snarling as she pressed her attack. "Pathetic! You can't escape me! So long as I can SMELL you," she yelled. Joseph pushed his own hand in the way of her flaming fist, a hollow, blue, bubble-like ball of energy manifested in the extended hand. “I can catch you chasing me,” Joseph said. The moment the burning punch collided with the bubble, it popped, sending out a shockwave and a wide cone of ki that spread to wash over the tigress in an attempt to snare her in a layer of energy and hinder her movements as well with her ki flow. The Tigress then sounded off a roar as she spewed a torrent of fire. Joseph kept his hand outstretched and generated a round shield of blue ki that split the flames into a fork he stood between. He drew his other hand back, manifesting another crackling orb of ki before stepping to the side, blocking the fire with the shield, and then hurling the ki ball at Distora. If it hit her or anything, it would burst and scatter into dozens of bolts, scattering 100 feet. She kept the flames going and turned them his way; just after his shield faded, Joseph bounded into the air, his soles barely making it over the fire as he flipped and attempted to land behind Distora. The moment he landed, he turned with a jerk and shot an open palm at her back. He then hopped up, outstretched the fingers of both hands and jabbed them down at her shoulders to hit more pressure points. Not to stifle or block the flow of her ki this time, but rather to make it unintentionally discharge from her body, leaking from her pours and going to waste. He then jumped back, crossing his arms in front of himself and uncrossing them. Blue lightning crackled around him as golden energy flooded him. The ground trembled beneath him. He sunk slightly as was formed under his feet. He huffed and grunted before uncrossing his arms and getting shrouded in a pillar of golden ki. The light settled and dwindled to just a thin layer of aura that outlined him. His hair was no longer standing; it was more like base form but sharper and raised at the edges, and his previously dead-eyed gaze turned into a stern glare. He gestured for the Tigress to approach him. “Predictable,” she snorted at the sight of his hollow sapphire energy. The flaming energy popped like popcorn. It exploded against the familiar counterattack the boy was so keen on repeating. The explosion and its pressure were the barrier she needed. It prevented the snare of energy from entangling her. She swung her head around and spewed flames in a wide cone. The Tigress then saw his other countermeasure, which made her moan in annoyance.
This moan made the flames wider, but not any more dangerous than what they were. She wanted to say it again, but her mouth was occupied with flames. She continued to find it droning and predictable. The ki ball was hurled at her. She swung a heavy paw at it, cloaked with a protective layer of energy. This prevented it from immediately exploding into a dozen bolts.
She swung it away from the both of them, sending it several hundred feet down the street. It impacted a car and caused it to explode. After his jump, she stopped spewing and began to suck air in instead. This brought stray flames back toward her person. Those flames crashed into her body, forming an active armor of fire. That armor was what Joseph would smash his open palm into if he wasn’t careful enough.
The flames exploded outward. They scattered like children leaving school for recess. This left her vulnerable to his poking strikes, which made her grimace in pain. Small columns of fire ran rampant throughout the streets. Some played hide and seek, and others played tag.
Satan City was on fire.
The Tigress noticed his change and how his power shot up. The golden pillar of light snuffed out several columns of flames and the firefighters had just arrived to start working.
They were brave men. and not complete weaklings and had respectable power levels. They knew they needed such power to be around super powers like Puar and Joseph and to be able to move from fire to fire. Each one was using technology and their own techniques to contain the situation.
Puar wasn’t here to be a menace, and she ignored them. Her purpose here was a test from another person, and Joseph fit perfectly as the opponent she ran into.
As the pillar of light faded she knew he ascended to another level. “All this power just to block again,” she mocked before he gave her the gesture to approach. Typical. People like him never made the first move. It was people like him who would perish to her claws. Her maw spread open like a wide grin before she gave him her loudest battle cry of the day.
It shattered windows and shook the entire city. The firemen froze up at the display of intimidation. She hoped Joseph would feel the same stunning effect before she charged at him. She was a wild beast with him set in her sights. If he wanted her to come to him, then he better hold on.
She was coming. Distora was too quick to suck up her flames and form them into a fiery armor. He had too much momentum to pull away from his strike before the fire caught his open palm, and the flames rushed toward him. Joseph’s ki flooded from him as his power jumped up in the moment it took for the fires to reach him, raising his power to its upper limits to fortify himself along with that, he used a thin layer of ki to shield himself and dampen the flames, though he still felt the intense burning sensation, further agitating the burns from Puar’s earlier burst of flame. He gritted his teeth and bared the pain. To get through this, he’d need to bury the pain. The fires scattered about throughout the street, and the fire department was on the scene doing what they could to put out the fire and keep it from spreading. Joseph felt apprehensive about more people coming to the scene, but it was good there were people taking care of the fire while he could focus on fighting Distora. They had already shown to be more responsible than the soldiers. The Tigress didn’t seem intimidated by his ascension, even mocking him, saying all that power just to block again. The vitriol was followed by another roar that shocked the boy's system, disorienting him similarly to the roar she sounded toward the beginning before moving in to take him on up close. Joseph gritted his teeth and exerted his ki. A bright yellow aura flooded from him as he shook off the effects of the roar before springing toward the Tigress. The boy, slightly crunched, shuffled his feet forward, then sprung at Distora, rotating his left to drive a hook into her stomach before shooting his right to nail her with a cross to her chin, before closing with an uppercut. The boy pressed forward and reached for Tigress, snatching at Distora’s wrist, trying to trap the hand. If he managed to grab it, he’d swipe his hand to lower hers, making an opening for the two quick elbows, one from his free hand, followed by him letting go so he could slam his other elbow across her jaw. Joseph then started launching a flurry of forward vertical punches as he stepped forward to pressure her. The blows came rapidly, rolling off one another, neither hand retracting until the other was three over three-quarters towards its mark. At the end of the chain punches, he snapped his leg forward to nail her in the stomach with a push kick. The lounged at her again, lowering his stance as he shot another open palm at her stomach, then closed with another vertical punch, and a lighter shifty open palm. As he pressed on he could feel his vigor rising, feeling the windedness from the earlier exertion fade. This wasn't just about overcoming a foe, his friends body was being exploited for someone else's ends and he was going to whatever it took to free Puar from this unscrupulous passenger. Being a bit nitpicky cuz I gotta. Joe would still get RP on the blast cancel cause overall there was just more thought and effort placed into it, but it dragged. Lines were a bit repetitive (arms together, then wrists together, as it, as it). I feel like if you were setting up for a chain reaction you could have described how each blast came in as they exploded versus four lines of this blast did this! this blast did this! this blast did this! Draaaaaaag. I feel like the main reason you would have won RP was cause Puar was very obviously writing it to make you GMG defensively. He wrote it to be canceled, which bad on him.
Puar kind said he destroyed walls and I didn’t really get it until a second read through. I also really don’t see smelling being easily done in this situation. You just destroyed an entire mall. The thick dust would also carry a thick smell and make it hard to actually breathe in to get a good sniff. You even added burning debris to further dilute the smell. If that was how you found him there definitely should have been more struggle and not an immediate go to. I’m also losing the environment cause now there's vegetation and stuff? Joe was last seen in the destroyed mall.
But then Joe completely ignored the mall had been destroyed at all so I guess he’s in the grass now lmao The transformation was pretty lame and this post makes it apparent Joseph is fighting everyone’s worst enemy: time constraints and irl fatigue.
Puar’s blast cancel was also mediocre. I would appreciate Puar’s references to the people around them if he had more references to the actual environment. Like in round one, he is still c&ping environment where he pleases instead of giving a decent picture. I got no idea where you guys are rn. There's vegetation in a city? Now the city is on fire? Is city the only descriptive word you know?
By the sixth post, while its not gonna fail you or anything, takes RP points away when your defense is consistently “creates a shield of ki” or a thin layer of ki, or flares up his ki to block. Ice Blast is easily roleplayed by its description intercepting the attack with a blast to the face, but Joseph needs to create a barrier as well as shoot…It’s dull. I also strongly dislike combos that rely on grabbing your opponent. IMO, thats an SA, but if your entire combo depends on you grabbing your opponent, I’m tell you now, if Puar, without even needing to spend an action because you didn’t, avoids only the grab I’m taking damage off the combo.
TLDR: Puar, underestimating the RP Joseph uses on his defenses can hurt you, IRDC about the people in the city if you can’t even explain where you are in it, and I’mma pull a Shell and say try harder. Joseph, as always work on your pacing, even when describing an attack, fight against your irl shit and don’t ignore the environmental things Puar actually clearly states, get more creative with your defenses, and stop relying on grabbing Puar to make your combos work. Again, it’s a post’s difference. Joseph’s second post dragged him down and kept the RP Award with Puar. Flame Shield Strikes Again.Puar: 26.81% Joseph: 22.05%

It was a welcomed change in pace. The Tigress witnessed his gilded aura flush to battle against her stunning roar. Now both of them had rushed toward each other until they both stopped for close combat. The sun was wavering as it typically did. It moved so long as time did, and now the intense dusk light shot shadows across the sky. As the battle raged on, soon the moon would be the only audience. The sun, finally bored, started hiding behind the mountains. The smog and smoke polluted the battlefield, skewering sight and stifling smells. The tigress had experience. She was a being that could shift forms and change her body in ways beyond imagination. Her ability to pick apart the different scents in the air was uncanny and unfair. Keeping up with the boy would remain a simple task. She combined her sense of smell with her ability to sense his energy. When he struck, her sense of smell and feel of his energy kicked in to aid her movement. Her footwork was constant and perfected like the martial arts master this body and mind was. His hook came. There was a short burst of energy from her feet to maneuver her body away from it. Another burst came from her hands to poke his arm with her extended index and middle fingers. An average fighter’s pokes would only sting like common ants. Puar’s pokes stung like bullet ants if Joseph was considered a normal human taking them. His chin shot and uppercut would fall short after the strikes. She used her interruption to disrupt the flow of his attack pattern. During that small break between combinations, the Tigress’ ankles and wrist burst with energy again. It showed that she was using short area quickness to get the beat on the boy. The entire point of bringing the fight this close was to eliminate his ability to use his top speed without any quick movements in a small area. Puar was used to this style of fighting. He reached to grab at her wrist, only to see one of her stingers meeting him halfway and aiming to stab him in the center of his palm. The other stinger would aim for his armpit. Puar was all for disrupting his combinations. Her quick stabs gave her body time to maneuver around the rest of his combinations. His attempt to launch a rolling vertical punch failed. It shot at air, as she stepped forward toward his side. Her two bullet ant stingers rushed toward his exposed left triceps, bending to strike at him there. Short bursts of controlled speed continued to aid her movements. His kick slipped off her body. It didn’t entirely miss, but there was no pressure put onto her to do damage. It was a complete slip dodge as she spun to face him. There was a grin on her face if he looked at her. It was the grin a master gave to a student when they tried so hard to overcome a skill difference yet fell short. Joseph was strong. He was fast, but to Puar he was still learning. His movements felt like copies of styles he had to watch. In contrast, Puar’s movements were absolute and required no thought process. Her stingers rushed at his arm again as he extended his palm toward her stomach. It was evident at this time she targeted his limbs to affect just how he could properly keep his fighting form. Her body shifted after that assault, losing height and coming just as small as he was. “Is that your advantage? Poor boy,” she said with a laugh. She noticed he compressed his size as he fought. This made her bend and concentrate harder to aim her attacks. Countering him and dodging wasn’t much of an issue and attacking him back was a mild inconvenience. Now it wasn’t. With another burst of energy from his feet, she rushed toward his core. This time, energy cloaked her stingers. Her fingers wanted to gore through his shoulder blades. If they did, they would explode to try and blow apart his shoulder joints. The Tigress was like a hunter. She would try to break her prey down and make him useless in a fight. Then, she could finally go for the final blow unimpeded.
