Ember: Champion II
Lilim: Combat Rune
Em — Today at 5:44 PM
Raven looked upon the towering throne that she had once appeared in front of as a small, blue wisp, and kneeled. It had been a long time since the Dark Fae had come back to the Infernal Dominion. Now, she had been called by the Demon Queen, requested for an audience with her. The idea of it made her wonder if she had maybe done something wrong - or if she was finally going to learn how to become a succubus, as she had hoped to.
"Mother." She murmured, bowing her head low enough that the red locks of their shared vessel touched the dark marble flooring. "You summoned me, and I am grateful to appear before you. May I inquire as to what this visit is about?"

Lilim was resting in her personal throne room within the pocket dimension of her castle, contemplating and referencing some of the tomes within the seemingly-endless coridoors of her fortress. However, she was interrupted by the return of Raven, an individual that brought a smile to the demoness' lips as she beheld the newest addition to their not-so-little coven. "Raven--darling--so glad you could return on such short notice," she said with a warm--yet still somehow malevolent--smile across her face.
"There is no need to rush--please, enjoy any exquisite luxuries here that you wish. The castle is a place of rest and recovery for all within the coven, my dear daughter. Unless you still have pressing matters?"

Raven lifted her head up, her crimson eyes meeting her Mother's. She had a few questions, especially after everything that had happened on Toffit. She had to admit, she wasn't as tired as she should had been, even with the gruelling journey to the realm.
"I... I have to ask. Tomoko - your daughter, she mentioned something about becoming a succubus. And she called me... The Chosen. I don't know what that exactly means, but..." The Fae woman trailed off, trying to find the correct words - she didn't want to insult the demoness. "I also wished to inform you that I believe I am getting much stronger. I feel as if... sometimes, I am splitting away from Ember."

Lilim nodded at the question, still smiling that Raven was picking up on things like this. "The Chosen are those that are brought to me and are selected for elevation into our coven proper. Look around, stretch out with your senses," she said, gesturing to the whole castle with her hand. If Raven used her ability to sense spirit energy, she would know there were a great many demons in the castle, all of them succubi, unless it was the occasional male demon that was visiting. Or 'visiting'. "Every single one of these girls were wronged in their past lives, and they prayed to me, entreated with me, or were selected by my minions. Through their hardship, they expressed their desire for retaliation--and I gave them the power and strength to do so, by elevating them to demonhood," she explained without any mystery or obfuscation.
Her gaze returned to Raven and nodded once more. "Once you are able to create your own body once more, you will be able to undergo this same elevation and transformation. Your human or fae body will become more like that of a demon, and in so doing, you will join our family properly. In your case, you are very special--a soul marked by a destiny defied--and as such, you have the potential to become quite powerful, indeed. Like Tomoko and Miria, you have the potential for power even greater than mine, one day. You becoming stronger, slowly splitting away from Ember is only natural--you are becoming less and less dependant upon her body."

As the words sunk in, Raven could feel excitement coursing through her veins. There was a possibility to surpass the power of even the Demon Queen herself? Part of it sounded too good to be true, if she was being completely honest with herself. When Raven had first arrived here, she had believed it to be a trick - some folly that the Ancestors had given her, as a way to further torment her even in death. Yet, she had quickly realized just how benevolent Lilim was to her brood. And then, there was the fact that the other females surrounding Raven had also been wronged in some way. Part of her felt a kinship to them - knowing that she wasn't alone... but another part of her felt pure, unbridled rage. Were males the culprit of their sorrows?
Raven had one more question to ask, but felt childish, even foolish for asking. She had grown up with a mother, but she had died when Raven was merely thirteen, taken by a plague sweeping through Fall. Maybe, that was why she was so eager to see Lilim as her mother.
"Do you consider me your daughter, as you do Tomoko?"
DarkKnightCuron — Today at 6:15 PM
The question was not a rare one--indeed, nearly every one of her daughters had asked some variation of it, and Lilim's smile became more warm and comforting. "Of course I do--or rather, I will. Once you have ascended beyond mortal-kind and joined us in demonhood, you will truly be my daughter, just like Tomoko, Morgana, Miria, Alexandria, and all the others. That is not to say you do not deserve my kindness or warmth, dearest--like all of my daughters, we have all been wronged in life, and through our ascension to demonhood, grasped destiny and justice with our own two hands. That is power that cannot be denied. So verily--I am and will be your mother in all regards. After all, as part of the ascension, you will need to sup upon my own blood. I hope you are not... adverse to the task."
Em — Today at 6:18 PM
Raven nodded at her words. She understood the requirements needed to truly become one of Lilim's daughters - and was determined to do anything she possibly could to have that title. In the meantime, she was going to do what she could to please her queen. "I understand. Is there anything that you need of me? Should I go anywhere, run any errands for you?"
DarkKnightCuron — Today at 6:23 PM
Lilim started to laugh like Raven had told a very good joke. "Goodness, no, my dear. You are already doing what you were instructed--grow in strength, feed upon the blood and fear of the wicked, feast upon the wrath that dwells in your heart. You are growing stronger with every passing moment, and it thrills me to see what you can achieve. You will be ready to create your own mortal flesh soon... just be aware, it will need to be created on the world you were born upon for it to work, but otherwise, it will have whatever appearance you desire. The more-closely it resembles your body in life, however, the easier the task will be, but you will not need my instruction on how to do it when you are ready. The force of your imagination and spirit will be enough--and you will know when you are ready. It will simply come to you, like a spark of inspiration. I need no one to run errands--that is what the familiars are for, as you will soon learn. However, I did wish to grant upon you a new spell. Now that you have mastered the ways of the flame, next comes the ways of the chill. The cold can be even more deadly a weapon than flame--so take upon the knowledge of ice from my mind, and know that you have my blessing, my child."
