Top 10 Best ADBZ Battlers of All Time

Shell. Shell is just impressively intelligent in his battles. He’s been in so many fights that would have gone drastically different were there a different ref, and he takes in that reffing style, as well as his opponent’s play style, and adapts, and fights the way he needs to in that battle to win.

There was a reason Whis was able to hold off HALF of UT on Quasar and while Chaos wants to go I had it before Tarble jumped, the reality was Shell specifically ran down his ki while keeping five different strategies in his pocket in how to finish him. Shell can tell me exactly how that fight would have gone, his next steps and how he would have countered what Chaos had left in his tank.

Whis versus Vegeta was also dealing with a crazy ref, and Shell found an advantage to that craziness and made it work for him. He’s also not a drama llama. He takes in what unfair shit he has to deal with and makes it work. His writing is not the most flowery, but he paints a clear picture of his intentions and his shit always makes sense. I don’t think he’s the MOST fun to fight, but he is the biggest challenge in this game.

Chaos sure. He’s survived pre-2013 battling with a 30+ win record along while being able to grow into the systems we’ve developed over the last decade. The man dodges too much when the heats on, but he is a beautiful writer and that ability to stay relevant throughout the years isn’t one to ignore. He’s also a super chill guy and his writing keeps you engaged.

Aria. If Bebi wants Chaos at his back I want Aria. The man has vision. He sees tactics not everyone else can, and works well on a team much better than Shell or Chaos lol He’s that good at reading the entire battle to work his build in with yours. He also takes timing into consideration. This is partially a fault imo, because he will let his writing suffer for timing, but he knows it. He knows when to do it and what pressure and pace he needs to set. He knows what he has to put in the get that RP award if he needs that instead and when he is writing at his peak, in his best form, I’m sincerely sad there was never a 1v1 Chaos or Doan vs Aria fight.

He’s also played this game more than any of us. I’m not saying battled more, or was more active, and y’all might find fault in his Vierisms, but thats because he’s playing the game. He is constantly coming up with new builds, seeing what can and cannot work, to see what he can make work (or break) making all his fights fresh af. His characters are interesting but his play-style is constantly changing and evolving. Chaos probably hasn’t changed anything in his build since Nightmare became meta. Shell also is pretty set on Shell and Mira’s stuff. He has not made any drastic changes that I know of. Aria’s legit switched his SS from fisticuffs to a damn weapon user. If he didn’t get so bored and could actually settle on one play style he would probably destroy all of us. But he’s having fun. He’s experimenting and he is so fun to read through and watch.

He’s stupid competitive, will 24 you on the minute, and will make a referee wanna punch him BUT DESPITE THAT, he remains pretty well liked because he’s a decent dude who make battles fun to reply to, to interact with. Any OOC drama aside, his characters and actions are fun to write to and he himself is chill enough people blame me for his shit in a group battle cuz I’m the angry one.

And Doan. Geetz is another SMART battler, AND his writing is chef’s kiss. Doan > Chaos imo. I will be angry in an old folks home Chaos snuck me on Namek while Doan ditched fighting me. But he hasn’t been as active. He hasn’t been as tested while I’ve been around and I honestly didn’t get to see him fight as much as I wanted to so it’s very possible I’m just hyping him up from the highlights.
