Goddess of war, love, afterlife, and fertility.
Freyja, also known as The Lady, is considered a Goddess in some realms. She is the daughter of the God of the Sea – Njord. Born as a Vanir and embraced by the Aesir for her beauty and Sieder powers until her ability to encourage sensuality and passion triggered the Aesir Gods into less than moral behaviors. She was often seen as the evil Witch after she taught the Aesir Gods magic. They attempted to kill her multiple times but each time she would rise again. Refusing to die, Freyja often travels between the realms to bring slain warriors to her hall in Fólkvangar (The field of the people and her home). Her intentions are not known to the Aesir, but their betrayal left her ready to activate the war part of her worshippers. The Vanir loved their Freyja and were masters of magic. They went to war against the Aesir who had brute force on their side. The war came to an end when hostages were exchanged between the two sides. Freyja, her brother, and her father all moved to Asgard.
The boar and cats are important to her. She often travels on a golden boar throughout her journey. True to herself she enjoys luxurious things and feeling passion, beauty, love, and sensuality. She also has a necklace named Brísingamen that she obtained by sleeping with dwarves who were master blacksmiths. She continues to oversee the souls of the fallen warriors in the Field of the People and offers them Solace in the afterlife. Currently, she goes back and forth between the realms searching for warriors to join her in the war to end all wars. She is also a caretaker of souls that might have departed during childbirth and of children.
Side note – She has come to enjoy Starbucks and Energy Drinks on Earth.
