“Freak?” Vael’s voice came out as a whisper. That was an interesting word to use in this situation that just continued to escalate. He’d underestimated both her resolve and ability. A point that was further proved as an aura of energy erupted from her body. “So you’re no average assassin. I guess I should take that as a compliment,” he said with a wry smirk. She rushed in once more with her axes held at the ready. Vael stood with his injured side facing away from her. He hoped it would help shore up his defenses.
The teal energy that wreathed his body surged as he channeled ki into his palms. His right arm was raised to meet her assault. His hand was cupped as energy began to form and gather in a small sphere. The energy cast a dim light as it began to spin rapidly. The energy in his left hand was more subtle. Without warning he shifted his stance so his left arm swept around to launch the energy towards her. It twisted and rolled akin to molten metal. As it sailed through the air to intercept her it rapidly expanded until it fashioned itself into a net that could envelop her if she didn’t break off her advance.
Vael attempted to use this to leap back to gain some much needed ground. If she wanted to take him out with those axes then it was in his best interest to make her work for it. The spinning sphere of energy in his right hand had grown by this point. With a deafening shout he released it into a massive beam that dug a trench along the ground in its wake. Vael shifted his left foot back to protect his injured arm again and to better brace his right arm.
He focused his mind as he manipulated the beam’s path to follow his opponent. There would be no easy escape from this one. He’d make sure of that.
Bankoku Bitsu Kuri Shiyou used Defensively + Tsuihidan
