Eating was his favorite past time. The bug just omitted that he ate creatures of humanoid size when he could, or larger. He nodded in agreement.
"Yes, even death is reversed from the Realm." Thigh he understood that one could have nightmares afterward. But it was the way that she said it.
"Very well, shall we start?" He'd not had an opponent so eager. Perhaps he was too eager. He moved into a slight crouch before he exploded from the sand and flung his right arm in her direction, a slash aimed at her risk. He then landed with a skid and spun, his left leg kicked up to strike at her face. Test time.

Nelgae switched her stance, so Riki did too, spreading her legs apart for a sturdier position seeming to be ready to take his strength full on. When he sliced out she moved her arm with ease under his strike before snapping it out to further parry his blow in an attempt to feel out his strength.
He was very big, so it was interesting to see his martial arts prowess in action but she ducked under the kick as well. Her moves were extremely fluid, not showing off her true speed but hinting to it in the ease used thus far. This time she countered though, moving under the strike to send her own leg crashing towards his side. The strength behind the strike definitely did not match her fit but slender form.

Nelgae was surprised by Riki's reactions, but he had fought faster opponents before. Though usually that came with a gimmick. Her movements didn't hint at a gimmick as sand and dust were thrown into the air.
The first attack sailed by, and the follow up also went just as swing and a miss as the first. He wasn't that frustrated by it, as his calm seemed almost casual to the Grey Hurricane, one of his ring names.
What he wasn't used to were those faster and stronger than him. His eyes seemed to grow wider when Riki lashed out with her own kick that threw him back, and with power he was not used to. He'd seen it with his psychic powers, but it was faster than he thought. With a movement, his wings flared out as he landed just at the edge, but still within. "Speed and power. A hero in training indeed." He launched back towards her, this time with sand and dust as he threw forward a snap punch, followed by Earth boxing techniques, with two jabs aimed at her stomach, before he finished with a palm out, psychic energy flared out with a push.

“Whoa, cool!” she said to his wings, but his compliment quickly turned to a counter attack forcing her to look at his menacing appendages. She recognized the form pulled back from the face punch before pulling the arms together to block the incoming jabs. What she didn’t expect was a psychic push after.
Her feet were planted well enough that they skidded through the rough ground before she released the tension to jump back. As soon as she landed she jumped towards him. Ki filled her palms but she struck with them instead of releasing the blasts, sending three hard strikes toward his face then body. The ki offered more destructive power, and as if she wanted to see the toughness of his natural armor.

It was rare that anyone complimented his body in any way, so he took it without complaint, though her ability to evade and defend was certainly not something he was comfortable with. He'd need to learn to fight against potential threats like these to the Queen.
It was only when she went back onto the offensive that his training and time as an Arena fighter came back into the swing of things. She came with ki and the bug ignited with flames - wait, those were real flames!
He wasn't able to do much about the first blow that struck him, and while he grunted with the pain, he could handle that. The second one he misdurected, but made sure that she still touched him so that the transmuted Ki still flared. Her third strike met his right forearms, as he grunted against the pain. But his tough shell held. He lashed back out as her last attack ended with his arm not used in defense, before he opened one of his small arms and pulled down. If this worked, it would feel like something heavy struck at her from above. He hadn't used tricks like this in a long time. "Indeed, you are strong. Especially for a human," he said, and hid the frustration.

As Nel’s flames tried to lick up her arms, her own aura flared and her speed shot up even higher in her snap back, pulling away from the fire as quickly as possible, limiting the damage. Despite that she was relentless, continuing on until he made out to strike her. It came from an unexpected place, but she saw it with enough time to shift her stance so it cut into the strength of her shoulder. She might not have had a exoskeleton, but her body was as tough as steel nonetheless.
She let the strike push her down but moved into a sharp spin to try and sweep kick the giant bug off balance, her ki shifting into her leg now, seeming to detonate on contact to further send him reeling. With that, she jumped up again, then drove her heels down into his body with another burst of ki fueled speed, trying to crush him like a two ton weight rather than the small human girl she was.
“Could I be a champion on Arlia?”

Nelgae had not been so pressed in a long time. Her movements were not just fast - he could deal with fast - they seemed faster than lightning. He grew further frustrated with his own lack of ability. Perhaps he had simply slacked off to much.
Those thoughts didn't help as the girl renewed her furious attacks, though they hadn't seemed to reach beyond basics, in his estimation. She swept following his psychic attack, and he let loose a growl or a grunt as he used the chance to launch away from her a bit, gave some ground.
The follow up was a detonation from a kick, a technique he actually knew, and the bug had thrown an arm up to defend, his left this time to distribute the damage more evenly. This time he reeled back, and decided to do something drastic. The girl attacked once more, heels drove into the ancient bug's chest- and seemed to drive through, caved in the chest cavity.
From the back, a golden version of Nelgae pulled away, slick with a sticky fluid as he placed a hand where the attack had struck. He responded to her query with that calmness in his tone, though on the inside he was quite rattled, "Yes, Arlians that have taken my place are not nearly as strong as I. I would be considered a freak of nature." Actually, he was probably considered one to most anyway.

“Whoa!” Riki let out as her legs crashed through the hollow skeleton. She had expected to kick off him or land straight through, so her landing in this circumstance was a little awkward.
“Oh, ick,” she let out brushing some of the slime off her legs before looking at the golden bug. “That’s so cool!”
While Earth had a lot of cool creatures, she had never fought a bug like Nelgae before. She had seen a bug person in North City once, but he had average human strength meaning barely any at all. Nothing like the warrior bug before her now! She did wonder if that guy could get rid of his skin like that since it was more of a bug quality than a warrior quality but she didn't imagine he would have been able to do it quick enough not to die from her attack first. Nelgae was a wonder, and super cool. She wondered what other types of people she had yet to meet.
