[Cauli: Telepathic Link, Kale: Superior Gem[2/10]

Kale returned to her room in the Capsule Corp building after a brief training session. The workout was more of a time killer than anything else. As of now she was simply bidding her time until Dr. Briefs or his daughter would be available to help with per predicament.
Kale looked at her dresser and gazed at her gem. She sighed and closed her eyes focusing on the gem to beckon herself to the Astral Realm.
After a few seconds she emerged into the astral realm appearing in what resembled a rocky canyon nearly devoid of any vegetation. She looked around. In the distance she could see small houses, more like huts than anything else. They reminded her of the villages lower class warriors resided on Sadala. When she looked longer she began to realize that this strongly resembled an area in Sadala. The Saiyan woman looked around trying to see if anyone else was occupying the realm.

Cauli had been meditating in the forest of illusion for a sufficient amount of time that it had irreversibly altered the structure of her brain in the same way that the locals had evolved. According to the Kanassan that had guided her to this spot, she would now have the ability to astral project. Her body would stay on the rock pile that she had constructed, but her mind would enter another realm entirely.
Exactly how that worked was lost on her, but Cauli stayed nonetheless. She was interested in exploring other worlds, in visiting Kale in purgatory to see if she was strong enough to allow herself to leave as Cauli had done.
As Cauli let her consciousness drift, she left her body behind and a heartbeat later was at home on Sadala. That didn't make sense - Sadala was gone and Kale was in purgatory. Yet when Cauli turned around, Kale was there.
"How is our world back?" she asked, "and when did you escape from Purgatory?"

Kale's eyes widened as her perception of energy alerted her to another presence. Kale turned toward it and stared at woman. Her eyes squinted curiously. In terms of her shape and hair she looked like a Saiyan, a Saiyan from her world, but she was red. Adding more to her confusion she was being asked how their world was back and when did she escape Purgatory.
"What do you mean? Did something happen to Sadala?" Kale asked distressingly. This whole time Kale believed that she was just missing from Sadala. "Purgatory? What's Purgatory?"

Cauli didn't answer right away. There was something off about this whole situation - she hadn't been looking for Kale when she astrally projected, she had just been thinking about her when she tried it for the first time. The last time she had seen her de facto sister had been in Leviathan's domain. Had the beast captured her and intercepted Cauli's astral projection with another of his psychological tricks? The distress looked real enough that if it was a reproduction, it meant that Kale had almost certainly been captured and was undergoing the same treatment that caused her metamorphosis from Caulifla the Saiyan plus Kale the Saiyan to Cauli the Fury.
"What do you mean, what do I mean? What's the last thing you remember? Where were we and what did we talk about the last time we saw each other?"

Kale stared blankly proving herself to be as flummoxed as the woman in front of her. Ever since she entered this universe she was hit with confusion each time went.
"The last thing I remember? I was training in some gravity chamber before going back to my room. Last time we talked I've never met-" Kale stopped for a second before staring back at Cauli. "Wait. You kind of look like my sister. Do you know Caulifia?"

Cauli started to get mad, power rolling off her in waves at the thought of Leviathan using her sister against her like this. Yet something continued to stay her hand. There was something believable about Kale's performance that made Cauli want to believe her. But if this wasn't her Kale, then where was she? Had she continued to evade Leviathan and therefore Cauli was now playing into the beast's hand by continuing to be afraid of what it could do?
"I'm not Caulifla," she said slowly, "but I'm not not her either. I'm both of you, but in this existence, I'm neither as well."
It was a risk, revealing the truth like that. Both a risk that Leviathan would figure her out and find her Kale, but just as much a risk that this Kale would have no idea what she was talking about. In fact, the latter was probably much more likely.

As the energy started to crackle Kale leaned back defensively, wary that she may have said something to earn the ire of this stranger. The stranger stayed her hand to the effect of Kale being relieved. The woman continued to explain, though it only flummoxed Kale further. "Both of us but neither? What do you mean? Like a fusion? I thought on Namekians and Metamorans could do that." Kale rubbed her temples she could feel a headache creeping on her. She sighed and placed a hand under her chin to think. "What would her Caulifla do? Try to fight her to see which version of her was stronger, most likely. This wasn't the best time and place for that, not in Kale's opinion. "If you're both of us, then do you know Cabba?"

"You really don't remember?" Cauli asked, more disappointed than angry. "We used something called Potara earrings to fuse and become one person to have a better chance of winning this tournament that the omni king held. We got to the final stage, but were eliminated by someone being sneaky and our universe was erased before we unfused. Somehow we ended up still together in the afterlife. A lot happened and eventually we were split again, so we became 3 people rather than 2 because by then I had my own identity. I'm not a saiyan though, I'm a kind of celestial. More demon than angel though." Cauli said the last part with a laugh to try and set Kale at ease since the word demon tended to have a specific sort of connotation. "What about you? Is there a universe 6 in this reality?"
"Oh, Cabba. Yeah I knew him. He became a super saiyan for the tournament."
