We can’t go through patch season without at least talking about revamping an organization and while I hope PTO, Paladins, Scholars, and SE are completely settled, this brings us to the Master’s Guild. We’re looking for suggestions, input, complaints, and whatever other thoughts you have on this feature.
Known Concerns:
- Unlimited Fundie Use
- DR Increases
- Zero Organization Content
Unlimited Fundamental Use
- First suggestion is if Fundies are no loner limited, rather then limiting them again, remove the +10 fundamentals
- Fundamentals have a HARD cap of DR4 that masters cannot go over
I’m against limiting fundies again because I think it gives masters a lot more freedom to do fun stuff in their customs like Oolong and Aria did. I know there’s definitely an issue with spamming DR5 fundies tho which the second point would nip in the butt even if other changes below don’t happen. Other suggestions welcome!
DR Increases
- Master DR no longer goes over the cap except for Signatures
- Let signatures be special in some other way
Other suggestions and input needed.
The other thing we were interested in doing is fleshing the Master’s Guild out as an actual organization giving it quests and various quest rewards. Some of this could even balance out removing DR increases.
- Custom Fighting Style for third (Choose which of perk to get at each level.)
- Can leave the Master’s organization but automatically forget all extra techniques, perks, and potential new items like a normal organization.
- Allow Weapon Master’s as like a branch in the organization with adjusted perks to however we find balance to them (see this thread.)
There was a suggestion to allow them more customs but with how our custom board lags I don’t see that as viable but maybe for some smaller things:
Custom Martial Arts Uniform
- Created in customs with 1 perk and additional master training gains. Can be gained by normal players the same way as other MAUs.
Custom Critical Effect
- IE. Aria and Eski’s can’t use ki in an attack. I think Nappa had some ideas of fleshing them out to be different things
- Could say its tied to Signatures if they don’t want to just choose an existing one or something that can be put on customs
That’s all that’s come to my brain so if you have any suggestions new or building off these, or any other input, let me have it.

- Set a critical effect to them
- Set a Hard to Dodge or Hard to Block label
- Increase uses to 3-4 instead of +1
- Choice to make it Multi-Target
- Allow customization of perks through a point system

- Have Tiers to the Schools advancement via Rank Ups in the Guild
- Training Center Add-on
- +4 SP training with the owner there
- Maybe +40 a stat (divided however but decided on creation)
- Allow the placement of Civilizations (Give Masters the ability to create custom quests.)
- Give them the ability to train more than 2 students at once (freely or tied to the Dojo/School)
