Having joined up a group of warriors on a certain Bra's recommendation, truth be told Upa still wasn't too sure what things were truly about. He was happy meeting some people whom he could call his allies, but allies in what exactly? His limited worldview was, while aware of outer space to some degree, still very much confined to the Earth at best. He knew most of the powerful warriors he's met to this day to be Saiyans, and learned to decipher their Ki signature from mere experience. But what would these guys truly hope to achieve, banding together?
Nevertheless, he joined because a friend invited him, and he wasn't going to pass up the opportunity.
And yet... "You're the Chief in this alliance, right?" The boy turned to one such scrawny-looking chief, taking note of her exponentially stronger power; dwarfing pretty much anything he's picked up so far. Her power alone was enough to dwarf even the mightiest of Beings he's come across - and for the second time in his life, he's been face to face with one he deemed to be A Power That Be. Possibly strong enough to rival a God -- a powerlevel so high that it was almost tangible in the air, just being around her.
He had to remain calm, despite the clear perceived threat. While he may have joined the alliance, the fellow dark-skinned hadn't seen himself as a true member yet; reason why, he turned to the Boss. "I'm Upa. This led to that, and I'll be in your care from now on..." He said, trailing off somewhat while still, trying to keep relative cool.
Does he instigate an actual spar here? Or does he wait? Fending off a power that much greater than his own never seemed to work in his favor before, despite surprisingly himself on occasion. But with a properly designated ally...?

"You want me to lead to a team?" Kale asked. Rose was across the table from her typing on a computer with one hand and writing with another while she spoke to Kale. "Yes well you'd be one in more a defacto sense. You wouldn't believe what's been going on in this Universe Kale, the Fallen War, Damaskian Commanders destroying planets on a whim are just a few things on the list. We can't just count on someone who is capable of facing these threats to just happen to come around-even if that happens a little more than you'd expect. Anyway, we need a unified force of strong fighters that can engage individuals and small groups that are acting as a threat."
"I mean it makes sense, but each major power has their own armies. Their military, the organizations. Certainly any people in need can get recourse from those groups."
"Yes they can and they're often effective but they focus more on things that effect their position in the Galaxy on a greater scale as opposed to someone coming to destroy or conquer a planet. Besides events involving major powers coming together to combat something that threatens the wellbeing of the Galaxy as a whole. They're not swooping in to stop an individual or small group from invading a planet."
" I haven't even ran my my own vanguard even on Sadala, my sister and Cabba were the leaders. Isn't there anyone else that can lead and I can just be part of the time."
"No one that has more experience than you. You have military experience and you're the strongest out of those we could find."
"Alright. I'll do it. Worse case scenario You or me could turn the position over to someone else."
"Great. There is someone I'd like to meet. He's the newest member of this group. He's on his way."
Later that afternoon.
Kale waited in one of the training area, kicking her legs and checking nails while she waited for the newest member to arrive. She heard someone enter and looked in his direction. He looked like the picture Rose showed her and what he said further hammered in who he was though the way he asked somewhat confused her. "Y-Yes, well. I think the term she used was Captain." The human went on to say that'd he'd be in her care for now on. She didn't care for that wording, she was already diffident enough about the idea of being responsible for a team, that wording just further drilled that thought in. "Umm, well. I'll do my best to make sure you're taken care of." Kale said she got off the bench and gave a small bow. "So. Where are you from?"

So they use 'Captain' around here... Not unlike at the security office, huh. "Y-Yes," He awkwardly assured at the woman's confirmation; instigating what must have been an odd moment for the both of them. He'd be in her care, for now, somehow.
"I'm from--" -- A short pause before he finished, intrusive thought getting in. "-- Earth." This one was a Saiyan, wasn't she? He got a little better at noticing the minute difference in Ki signatures, and already attributed the Warrior race to be a clan different from those who lived alongside him on his home planet. That said, the very prospect of outer space was still foreign to the boy, and his instinctive answer attributed to his origin specifically, and not in galactic terms. He could only assume other aliens would inquire about residence in that scope, unintuitive as it was to him.
That said, he'd never before met another 'human' from outer space. Everything from the outside just seemed so far out of his understanding, as things were. Upa wouldn't know at the time, how oblivious he was to state his home planet, while obviously hailing from it. "I live in West City right now, but. My family lives in the western forest." Again, secretive. He wouldn't name his home village, only alluding his general appearance in his skin tone and out-of-place choice of fashion, to the tribes around Korin Tower. It was a principle of his home not to overshare information; fact that he was outside as it is, was already exposing the villages to potentially unwanted visitors. Of course, the boy could warn others of not overstepping their boundaries, if it ever comes to that. If anything, his 'hint' would explain his choice of terminology.
The issue at hand was clear; a distrustful attitude, rooted both in a first-time meeting mixed with old cautious habits, as well as the leader's overwhelming power. His expression reflected the discomfort he felt, the Chief's general hint of sheepishness and his own uncertainty playing part. Yet, he'll see this to the end. He was, after all, enlisting officially.
Surely there was much to learn from an inter-galactic alliance Chief, right?
