Arlia was the first planet Azara took Puar when he had gathered control of her body. Now she was back but this time she was in control. Back then, Azara wanted to test the power he could tap into. Like any other body snatcher, he could never see the full extent of Puar’s power.
She returned here to meet Yan for a similar reason as Azara had for bringing her. Puar wanted to see the full extent of her power. Something was different about her now. She did not feel comfortable letting this kind of power out on anyone who she didn’t think could take it. Yan showed her a glimpse of his power much earlier and she wasn’t going to trust anyone else with it.
She wouldn’t endanger Oolong with this, knowing that going all out would change her and for the worse. She prayed that her faith in Yan was not unguided.
Her fluffy hair waved in the wind, and her natural green eyes stared ahead through the dust that kicked up. On another hand, there was also a brute force method to breaking her cursed ring as well. That was the main goal of the day, but in the end, these were two battle hungry maniacs. They could use any excuse to let loose and go crazy.
“So, you said that this Aria destroyed her ring by… blocking a high-powered attack huh. Well, let’s have some fun with it. I have to try something out anyway.”Puar was okay with being out in the bland desert over a crowded coliseum. She wasn’t like most heroes who would fight to protect the weak. A high-powered fight would put them in danger. At this point, if anyone too weak showed up they were begging to die, though. This was her way of protection. Her battle lust would make her tunnel visioned to only her opponent. Anyone outside of that lane was in danger. “Azara did something terrible to me when he took control. Well, I want to say it's terrible but I--” Her voice trailed off like her eyes did in guilt. Azara was a vampire, and he sired her. Puar wasn’t a full human anymore. When her eyes came back to look to Yan, they burned a beautiful shade of orange. Her level of power halted the wind completely in its pressure. It was such a simple power raise, that did not bring an explosive impact. It made those who could not bear it feel submerged in a deep sea and their limbs felt heavy.Anyone's senses would start to appreciate her presence like a taste of sweet candy. With no control of it, Puar was poking and scratching at their pleasure like a sensual predator. She meant to attract even the best and the worst of people.Energy filled her chest and got her more excited than she ever had been before. Why?Because her lust was in battle, and she had the need to punch Yan in the face and she did not hold it back one bit.“I can’t help but love it!”Her natural martial arts instincts kicked in. The hardened Baji Quan stance came to life before she ran at Yan. A trail of dust split in half as she closed the gap and ducked low. A palm strike that was capable of shattering his defenses went crashing into his chin. Puar repeated her motion with intent of adding more pain to his chin and sending him airborne. Her body swished away as if the wind had come back and stole her. She appeared above Yan with a swing of her closed fist to stop his momentum and direct him back toward the ground. “It feels so amazing. I always feel so good when I fight, but this is on another level!”Her battle blood itched and with every hit she put on Yan she felt a scratch throughout all her veins. That made her struggle keeping her breathing correct. She fell down to Yan, increasing her speed, and spun her body like a sideways top. Her leg dug into the ground, splitting it in half as she rose her leg up toward Yan’s body to send him right back up into the air.Not keen on giving him time to recover, Puar shot up like a rocket after him. She peeled her body back to lead with her knee toward his stomach. She rolled around him toward his back and brought her combined fists down onto his neck like a hammer to a nail. Puar followed him shortly after with her feet aimed to the ground and becoming a massive spear. When Yan’s body hit the ground, her feet would crash into his body to try and cement him there. She would jump off of where she landed and there was a giggle that came out of her lips. She could not contain her excitement. Puar wanted to do it again, and she wasn’t waiting on Yan to tell her he was okay. Her battle lust had her blinded and for all she knew he found a way to deal with her oppressive opening. She couldn’t let him get a chance to keep pace with her yet.Puar was back on the offensive with two heavy punches that swung at the Monkey’s chest like wrecking balls. With impressive footwork, she spun her body around him to deliver a palm strike into his spine. With another twirl, she danced in-front of him and brought her leg into a kick to his liver. Dropping that leg, the other one rose up with a knee that would try to penetrate his sternum. She paired that with a hammer blow right to the top of his headHer impressive momentum continued when she dropped lower to the ground. She used her arm for balance and jammed both of her feet into his chest. She placed the force of a speeding train into the kick to send him away from her again. Puar vanished making dust explode outward around where she used to be. She appeared higher in the air free falling with her limbs out like a star.Puar was enjoying how the wind rushed past her on her drop, and she sighed to herself.“This feels too right,” she mumbled to herself trying to figure out the words for the feeling she felt. Her vampire senses were heightening the dopamine shocks. It was a struggle to keep herself from exclaiming more than she usually did to add power to her attacks. This felt strangely erotic to her and there was no shame to it.It felt natural. The wind around her gently took a light white form and her drop accelerated. It was clear now that she timed her drop with Yan’s flailing body, if he allowed it so. She turned her body so that she was facing the ground and collided with his body to tackle him hard into the ground. An explosion of dust would plume, and a crater would form with either her alone or both of them at the center. She would be on top of him when the dust cleared and with the assumption her assault was too much for him in the end. She sat up, straddling him and started in a low chuckle that grew to a laughter. Puar ran her fingers through her hair and her mesmerizing orange eyes looked at him. “Your ki ley lines look so delicious, can I have a bite baby.”Her aura intensified, but not in a growing manner. Yan could feel as if the underwater feeling had become even more stronger pressure wise. It made it hard to produce ki without an extra strain. More importantly though, would be the obvious to point out.Puar was out of control. Yan strutted to the battle field with large steps and arm swings like he was marching to a gleeful parade in New Orleans, a rush in his step and a glee in his movements. When they reached their intended battlefield he lifted his hand over his eyes to block the sun and survey the area. There wasn’t much to look at. As far as he could see was dunes and dunes of sand, which surely suited them both just fine. Puar didn’t need any more death on her hands, and while Yan did love rubble to work with, the sand could be manipulated, probably. At the end of the day he didn’t care as long as he was getting to fight. The way Aria had broken her ring was exciting. It wasn’t just a high powered attack but her putting the dangerous member of the seven into submission. Yan wasn’t sure Puar could do that as well as Aria could, especially since her sense of self was so tied to Distora, but if she did, Yan would not miss the opportunity to strike. That’s what he was there for, not just to have a fun fight with an infamous master who was known to have extremely dangerous strength. When she said she had something to try out, he perked up and faced her properly. He’d walked away enough to put the appropriate distance between them, and waited to see what she meant. At first it was just pressure, power, and dangerous power at that, but then the pressure really settled on Yan, though pressure lost its meaning, at least to him. It was completely replaced in his senses by the vampiric power pressing against him in a much more intimate fashion. He had experience with Morrigan and Mazikeen to handle such things. Hell, he had plenty of experience with Lilim to handle such things, but for it to be unleashed in a battle meant he didn’t have to hold back the fundamental urge that always came to him under such a thrall. It was not a rise in his libido, god knows he didn’t need any more of that, but the push and pull of Chaos. Yan was coveted by even Chaos Lords for his ability to control his chaos seed. Like so many things he learned to compartmentalize it and had the ability to keep it sealed in all circumstances. One would think such a thing was irrelevant for someone like Yan who was happy to activate his chaos any chance he got, but there was a deeper reality to this. This ability was important because the pure atrocious size of the chaos that brewed inside him. It was always beckoning, pushing and pulling, trying to escape at any provocation, and Puar’s powers were enough to make it beg. But it didn’t have to, though still controlled he unleashed it as his own power fluctuated. He carefully molded it though, letting it feed into her already heightened senses, drawing into the ecstasy she was already finding in Azara’s power to push at her senses even further, slipping in and just when she thought to calm down--she wouldn’t be able to. The chaos affected him too however, as he felt a rise building, an anticipation. How many times had he said fuck all and took an attack to the face just to see what power was behind it? How many times had that been a mistake? He could see the strength in Puar’s stance, feel her power seething off her like Lilim’s raw physical might. She never wanted to fight seriously. They always got distracted too quickly anyway. This was a chance to feel a power he would not easily feel again--at least one he still felt he could withstand. Was it a mistake? He shifted his stance but not into a defensive position. He loosened it and relaxed his muscles ready to be thrown about like a ragdoll. There was a moment, as he realized where her first strike was going that he reconsidered. After all, it was one thing to take all of one's power into the body, it was another to let your brain be rocked around your skull. But in the heat of battle one didn’t have time to consider, and reconsidering did not mean choosing the other option. It was the process of thinking about choosing the other option. So, he jumped. That was the most he could in his split second decision making. Puar’s palm crashed up under his chin just as his legs pushed him into the air, lessening the full impact of her strike, but his brain still rattled, and her next attack tossed him further upwards as he could hear a sharp ringing in his ears and a vibration through his nervous system. A rag doll thrown up, a rag doll thrown down. Even if his limbs had stiffened, refusing to listen to his brain, his ki control had been trained on an entirely different level. It had actually been trained while the rest of Yan’s strength built battle after battle. It was so well practiced it moved him like an instinct, swirling his body in the air so she would hit the hardest point besides his skull, then buffered his landing in the soft sand. Well wasn’t that nice, and he pressed himself into its cool texture only for him to almost bounce up against Puar’s impact back into it. He squirmed a tiny bit, trying to hold onto the precious sand, only for her leg to rise up from it, barely slowed now by the loosened particles. ”Wheeee--” he let out in what anyone else would consider a groan only for it to be cut off as her next strike slammed into his diaphragm. That was one effective way to momentarily shut him up as many had found before her, but it never lasted long. The action caused him to naturally double over even in the air, curling into a more defensive position for her hammer blows to crash in between his shoulder blades and down, down, down… He spun around again in the air so her stabbing heels crashed into his curled up knees, causing him to let out an oof as the sand parted under his impact like water. She giggled, and he lowered his knees plopping down flat on his back. He closed his eyes and crossed his arms over his chest, not to block but to be prepared for his coffin. His half jest protected his chest somewhat in the end as the sand rippled out again and again like splashes made on a once serene lake. He didn’t get up, keeping his body flat to the sand so more impressive maneuvers would take more effort. The continued blows crashed on his barely guarded chest, side, and head, until finally she kicked him hard enough to the side that he went tumbling up through the sand and the hill they had created. He landed flat on his back again, gazing up at the sun that her silhouette blocked slightly, then more and more as she grew closer once more. Enjoying the air as she was, he took the moment to test his limbs. He still felt pins and needles at first, but the last head shot was cushioned into the sand, if you wanted to call that a cushion, which kept his brain from rattling about. With all the other strikes, his brain at least got to recover and he found he could still move everything and made the mistake of sitting up. Which gave her a better target to tackle, sending him right back into the sand. ”I have found my bed,” Yan mumbled to himself through her laughter, his eyes closed again like he was really knocked out already. When he felt his energy being tampered with however, he opened one eye to look up at her. ”Oh, darling,” he said. ”Never stop.”Despite her efforts, ki expanded in his fist while his energy pushed his body back in the air and around to give it a more momentous swing aimed to send her slamming into the sand in turn. The chaos energy began to ripple off him like he was on fire and it was the smoke sending an even wilder feeling through the air. Following her example, he did not let her rest. If she reached the ground he’d slam into it to bounce her as she had him, then send an uppercut from below her body to knock her up into the air again for easier access. Staying below her his right fist snapped out in a jab before his left, and into a series of strikes to pepper her into the air. Like a gatling gun he fired, trying to push her higher up into the sky and lifting himself into it to give chase. Twelve stabbing jabs in all, before he finished with a larger swing to propel her even further up, and up. He did not want to let her make a bed as he had so he wouldn’t do anything to bring her down to the ground. But that didn’t mean he had to keep sending her upwards. With his speed his next swing tried to crash into her side, hitting even harder now as a blue aura began to change his hands, and another rapid fire of jabs snapped out meant to keep her suspended indefinitely. Unlike Puar’s giggling build, Yan’s mania was already in full swing, his mouth pulled into a wide grin, his dark eyes wide in excitement and as the next strike came, it came with his hands completely changed now. His wild fire of jabs changed to open fist strikes, only his hands were now claws and the first two blows aimed to pierce deep into her body attempting to find purchase through her guard. Then he truly went wild. His compact jabs turned in the rapid swings of ten daggers trying to dance across her skin, to slice and maim and feed on her blood as if a vampiric desire fueled him instead of Puar. They weren’t actually strong enough to truly tear into her, but the slicing onslaught was meant to be overwhelming with slices coming from all directions, a tornado of vicious attacks scratching across her skin if it could not flat out filet it, though it tried, finding similar places to crisscross against to deepen a wound. On and on he went, a storm, a fury, a monster that would not be stopped or tamed--until he did. He slowed only for a moment. Just long enough to pull his arm back, and with Yan’s speed that moment was exceptionally short. His claw cut through this distance from below, twisting into an open palmed smash so it had the strength and angle to tear through any guard she might put up. The stab was meant to dig deep into her chest, only so his dominant hand could slash downward from shoulder to hip. He spun with the motion and lunged again, his claw the blade to pierce through. Immediately following this he free hand came from below again, aiming to slice up from her abdomen into her rib cage. This too was to create an opening as his other hand came swinging to slash at her neck. He pressed in, following his own advice and jammed his claw in one more time, but then, he was too giddy to and he pulled away in another happy spin as if dancing, before the smokey chaos energy expanded like an explosion, covering a wide field in a fog of energy and sand. ”Oh, this is fun,” he said. ”Come back at me,” he practically urged.

“I won’t,” Puar cooed. A soft crimson neon glow traced her body and he flung her arms open in acceptance. It was not fair that Yan got to feel the punishment and she did not. They propelled into the air slightly and she gasped in surprise. Yan spun them about, and the momentum went all into his fist to punch her down. Her groan was loud and unfiltered, just as the burning neon aura was when it licked his fist with an intense burning sensation in retaliation.
Hitting the ground, she cased herself in energy armor, just below the neon counter guard she spawned earlier. Yan smashed into the ground, the sands sinking in before popping up comically like a trampoline and Puar’s body popped into the air with enough space for his uppercut. His first pepper of strikes ate away at her shield, all while taking tiny scorpion sting from her red aura.
“Try harder, baby.”
After six of the strikes, she curled her body into a guard and could finally feel him breaking through her shield. The final six diminished her red aura, which gave him one last chomp to punish him for playing her game and she grinned. A much bigger swing pushed her further up and she moaned. It was a moan mixed with pain and pleasure.
“Good, Barkley’s father is such a menace.”
He wasn’t going to let her drop to her own coffin of comfort and happiness. He wanted her for himself in the air and that was fine. This was when she would retaliate, finally feeling him out. She was much quicker than most when it came to analyzing her opponent.
His swing to her side met her swinging arm that deflected it and she interrupted his next combination with a simple palm strike. She took a peek at his mania and he let out an ‘Oooo’. She was impressed. It was her own madness that found attraction in his manic expression. As Yan took on the form of a wildfire, spreading his pain through his punches, Puar became a torrential downpour to snuff out his jab.
She didn’t use her fist, sticking her two fingers out like needles. Every punch he threw she anticipated and poked at his arms with dagger-like jabs to throw off his aim and give him intense stabbing pains. His speed was beyond amazing, and only an amateur would have fallen into the trap of trying to match his speed. If the attack would land, he would feel his ki being toyed with once again.
Puar watched his body movements and struck out with pure anticipation. It took blocking or allowing hits to land to learn and she did that best in the heat of battle. “You are a wild monster. A terrifying one! You are such a boogeyman,” she said between blows.
Her red aura was stronger this time when it returned, and it had actual temperature to it. He had just a split second to avoid another counter, and knowing his speed now Puar knew he’d have an opening to pull back his planned assault. But if he didn’t he would crash into a painfully hot aura. And if he did, she would swing a full spear of fingers upward as if she was trying to penetrate his chest -- a page out of his book. Then came the small backhand to throw off his rhythm.
Of course, Puar didnt’ expect him to be finished. And that aura returned again to threaten him. He could hear her thoughts as if they were her own voice. “Let it kiss you,” she said, referencing the burning fires that wanted to touch him. Again, she tried to gut him with her spear-like hands and give him yet another back hand to his nose.
“No one has kept up with me like this,” she said right before the chaos smoke had spread around them and her eyes slammed shut thinking that some of it could get in her eyes. That would have been a great opening for him, even when she put her guard up in apprehension. Yan was dangerous when you could see him….
Just how terrifying was he when you couldn’t?
"In the dark? Oh, how terrifying. I like it with the lights on," she said in response to his call to her. Despite her confidence, she froze in the wake of his chaotic cloud of energy. Yan’s face lit up, physically and metaphorically when he felt not only the precious sting of his fist crashing against hardened flesh but also a destructive burn that rippled down his arm like an electrical charge. Puar’s groan was accented with his pleased hum, and of course it did nothing to slow his plans. Which worked to some degree. He felt the pain jump down both his arms now, and another pain in his fists as they collided with something less malleable than the softness they craved. But it got her in the air, and she was the ragdoll now, only more like the doll than Yan had been, because such a toy could often be jolted and flung about to no damage at all. But he took to her request, trying harder until he felt the cracks in that defense let him touch the beautiful block below, but if Puar could anticipate his wild onslaught--an impressive feat considering it meant purely reading his movements as his intentions spelled only one word with no other thought to how he moved: violence. Everything else, compact and skilled as they were, moved from him with reckless abandon--he could just as easily anticipate what she would do next. For Yan, it was not the skill of a martial artist, it was how he was already beginning to know Puar, and unlike him who took joy in the beating, her mania would not let her keep still. So don’t keep still, he thought, and let the chaos pour off him into her blocked strikes, feeding into the little world they had created in the sky where nothing had to make sense as long as they were enjoying it--and there was thrill in almost connecting. He was very easy, but oh did he know how to make someone give chase, though such a thing would become at least momentarily more difficult. Puar probably had experience with it in the library, where some rooms housed old forces such as chaos. Those forces were far more potent than even Yan, and they disrupted reality itself, taking every action and randomizing it, twisting it into something nonsensical. Chaos was a force that both created the universe and wished to dismantle it. Truly, in creating the universe, it was simply dismantling non-existence. Yan’s energy was a taste of that. While the library forces could shift reality in a far greater space, spaces in the library that felt almost infinite, Yan’s influence was pressing in on their closeness, as he pulled into her more with each strike, and when she went to strike him in turn, it wasn’t right. He wasn’t there, but her excitement wouldn’t quell such urges to confusion and her onslaught moved to match his, anticipation growing, but again, her anticipation was not quite correct. It wasn’t affecting just her, though there was a rush in it that was not normal. In fact it was infecting the host much more, because while she anticipated a logical strike, Yan’s attacks now went wildly off target, missing both her and her counter attack. Despite this every strike was read as it was once intended, the pressure still pressing down like killing intent--he would hit her this time. He would hit her this time. He would hit her this time. But he didn’t, and she didn’t either, but it didn’t feel like some peace offering, someone going easy on her, it felt as it should: random. Chance had been rolled, and they both failed, but there was a definite impression that randomness was Yan’s ally, and he would hit when it was best to hit. Her aura should have pushed out, stronger and more potent but it was as if it had been struck with a gust of wind, immediately blowing it backwards like she was a rocket shooting forwards, and Yan shifted his attack as she had planned on, narrowly avoiding the charging attack after that was very familiar to him. The gust ended, and like any flame, the wind only made it stronger now, its flames rumbling to drown her provocation out, which might have also been luck for Yan, because he probably would have dove into the flames like a moron if he heard. Instead the flames caused him to instinctively pull back once more. Even masochists had to resist the urge to recoil, even if that recoil was immediately followed by ecstasy once the attack landed. The cry of pain was not erased by the moan that followed, and the instinct to survive still claimed most--as it claimed Yan now and he moved to avoid her assault again, feeling it draw a cold sweat on his heated body. None of this dispelled the fun he was having, and his words left him as he expanded that chaos outward, weakening its effect but growing its area so that he might grab hold of it once more, from anywhere. ”But the first touch in the dark,” he said as the pressure from his actual power began to be felt. She couldn’t see it. The sand was already clouding the air, but now more of it was beginning to float, each tiny particle adding teeny tiny shadows that made it even darker. But their rise against gravity wasn’t his attempt to keep her blind. It was the natural effect, as the sand was pulled upward in slow anticipation, gathered by the slowly rising force. ”Is so much more exhilarating,” he finished before pressing the tips of his claws together. Just a touch, a tap, the actions of a lover specifically touching her with the very tips of their fingers, and just like that, the world changed. The ground below her was forced up from under her feet and then it was as if every single sand particle in the air decided to explode at once. Not a fire cracker explosion either, a bit of dynamite sending chain reactions to the sand still rising to his call to meet the rest. The once darkness was replaced with the blinding light of utter destruction as everything she once knew of their sandy arena, every area of influence Yan had spread out was completely changed. But she wouldn’t get to see that--not yet, because before anything cleared Yan was rushing towards her, his aura pouring down his arm and into that claw. No matter where she ran, he’d find her, a ki fueled bull on an unstoppable charge. It was like she was carrying a red flag however, and he moved past her. Unlike the bull though, his foot slammed down right behind her and moved him into a swift pivot as he drove into a lunge meant to send his claw right through her. Where did the ring reside? She could push it up her esophagus but not get it out, meaning it likely resided in her gut. That was where he was supposed to aim right? So he dove that claw in an attempt to pierce through her body into that gut where the ring might lie, forgetting her need for strength of will. He pushed all his aura, all that destructive power, down from his arm through his claw to the farthest point he could reach, aiming of course to be inside her, before it too erupted like a nuclear test site throwing them apart and rippling even more destruction across their would be arena. Now the ground they stepped on was hardened stone that looked like snow had fallen over it, only the snow was glass. So much glass created from the almost electrical charge of his attack touching the sand, and that too parted under his next explosion creating a chittering sound as it cascaded over itself even as the attack finished, keeping the world active.

Puar’s power spiked, the pressure of her energy intensifying. The pressure would drop the energy cloud and fight against the rising sands as her stance smoothly softened. Her eyes opened and she dashed at Yan, palm leading the way like the horn of a charging rhino. She would strike his chest with a massive force that would shut his ki channels off for a split second and had enough pressure to send him flailing if he didn’t guard at the last second.
His explosion halted, and it felt jarring. They could almost hear the explosion priming up and now it had stopped and left a dead silence that was soon filled with the soothing sounds of the sand’s downpour. If her palm strike had hit Yan, it would leave behind a burning sensation.
“If you say so,” she would say as by the time she interrupted his attack he would have finished his line, but right before his claws touched. After her palm strike counter, she would pull her palm back in and ball it into a fist. Her eyes flashed and a trail of orange light poured from the edges of her pupils. The trail snaked down her face and ran through her arm expanding her muscles as they passed. When they touched her fist her entire forearm and hand ignited into flame like orange power.
As Yan dashed at her she didn’t wait on him to reach her, and she dashed forward as well. She was going to force him to pull off his strike earlier with one of her own. She swung her fist to meet his claw at the meeting point, yelling ferociously as she did. The clash was a lightning strike, and the thunderclap sounded off immediately. A spherical aura surrounded both of them, supercharging the sands and glassing them over.
She gritted her teeth as the clashing attacks pushed against each other until an eventual explosion that had the force to push both fighters away from each other. Puar flung backwards, with her feet digging into the ground to stop her. The ground jagged and crumbled like glass now and tiny surges of electricity jumped between broken pieces of ground.
Puar had long since forgotten the point of this battle, and that was fine to her. As she recalled her more recent combats, none of them gave her the feeling that she was the underdog. She always felt like the dominator and the final boss to their story. Right before her was someone changing that narrative for her. The monkey made her stop holding back and she could do it comfortably. This meant she could do the skill she had been practicing without worrying about whether it would kill her opponent.
Puar started running forward and then suddenly vanished, cutting the space between her and Yan in the same second, she disappeared. She was already at Yan’s side, though it was pure speed she used to get there so Yan himself would be able to track her. She started to attack him with eight short bursts of jabs at his kidney, but as she did so her fists multiplied and came from dimensional rift portals. Her portal fists were shooting from different angles, two above his head, two at his back, two at his chest and a final two toward his face.

As Puar broke through the darkness, Yan’s hands were already beginning to rise to signal the attack's detonation. Instead of pressing them together, he turned them to face her so that her strike turned into a high five. A very over powered high five though that was loud enough to cause ringing in Yan’s ears again, and forced him to turn with the force so the rest of her charge would keep going beyond him. The strike still did as it intended, silencing what was supposed to be a grand caress, but it only made him smile wider, his own words proven true, at least to him. Puar’s rush from the darkness was exhiliarating. ”And here you said you were scared,” he said in a lazy way that was immediately tarnished by his speedy charge. Puar had gained some distance when he deflected her rush, and now she was just as keen as him to close it. The fear was gone, brought back by an undeniable wish to undo him, and she had been undoing him, quite beautifully. Another fighter might feel frustration, but Yan just felt an aching desire unmet. That could lead to frustration but it hadn’t quite reached that point yet. Instead he felt a longing desperation that he let flow through his body like electricity. He could feel the energy in Puar’s fist long before it clashed with his makeshift spear and was not surprised as the shoveled form of his hand felt like it might break under such a clash, but it held, and he could feel just the tiniest prick, blood finally reaching his hands, before the impact exploded and his arm was yanked back and he somersaulted through the air Managing to end fairly lightly, he brought a claw tip to his lips, not licking it or anything, but to feel the warmth. Then she was rushing him again, only to vanish. To him, she might have been slow, but when speed picked up unexpectedly, it was easy to lose sight of your prey, so he took a more rounded defensive measure. His aura exploded outward, a bright blue in the dust, aiming to disturb her first punch, and strengthen him against the next slew of them. He felt each strike however, heavy and crushing, when he also felt a shift in dimensional space. This he knew well, and his senses honed in on the openings she created, allowing him to avoid those strikes more easily and close in on her unprotected torso while her fists twisted out into the unknown. The aura he expelled once more traveled, this time to his knee as it rose with speed beyond most things, aiming to crash into her stomach to further disrupt her attack and hopefully send her keeling over. His claws glowed briefly, as if a new assault was to come from them, before his whole body exuded a soft blue glow. Attempting to catch her while she was still recovering he reached up to lightly hold on to both her arms, stepping forward to lean close to her. ”Keep going,” he said with a tone of seduction that came unheeded, but of course, it did not come alone and if they touched metaphorical spark would immediately turn into literal spark as electricity burst from him. Even if she fled however, the lightning bolts had dug into the ground from his feet only to be pulled up by a greater conductor than even ground: her. The area quickly became a sea of electricity that expanded into a storm in a flash, surrounding them in electric charge that would not only freeze the nervous system but feel like it set your insides on fire. The clouds above Arlia moved, drawn in by the force as if ready to drop their own bolts in singularity.

You're two are terminally horny. Bonks for both of you. I was looking forward to reading this and wasn't disappointed. The chemistry you two have is still as good as ever and you two do well bouncing off of each other. The RP is solid on both side and the dialogue exchanges are about what I'd expect from you two, the banter so far is simple but fun to read. Puar description of the setting of this was cromulent. A barren desert can seem prosaic on surface but it's just simple and more can be done with some creativity, the heat of the attacks turning the sand into glass was a nice touch, imaginary in general is strong on both sides. Both are did well to establish the motivations for this fight. These character's have an established rapport so its easy to get the fight started without it feeling contrived like many battle starts can fall into the trap of being. Overall, it been fun to read so far. Puar Wins the RP Award this round.
Going back to one of my earlier points Puar was better at getting to the point without too much interposed between her thoughts and the maneuvers being done. That's the one thing that gives Puar a lead in this so far, along with me enjoying his use of metaphor and simile. Mona and Yakumo are examples players who do well good at being concise and to the point and battle post by people like Ghast and Chaos have a number of examples of more detailed posts with the proceedings of the battle flowing well even with their internal monologues. You both have both read posts by these people to have an idea of what I'm saying but I can give specific posts as examples if asked.

It was a tiny yelp, but she felt his claw pierce her fist. It was a sudden strike of pain and she didn’t shrug it off. Puar embraced it. Her fist yanked back, and blood dribbled down her hand and onto her arm. Then it started to drip onto the glassy ground in small splats. If she didn’t clash with him he surely was going to gut her and that fact alone sent shivers throughout her entire body.
“My intent was to call you scary, not to say that I was scared.” She grinned. “And you proved my point.”
And to further prove her point, when she rushed him down with more blows she felt she was gaining the upper hand until he popped her in the stomach with a heavy knee. She lost her breath immediately and gasped. He finally halted her with an attack, making Puar bend over and hold her stomach coughing.
But that just proved to increase her manic need for battle. She was instantly energized, her eyes widening and a smile spreading on her face. It was such a beautiful and painful counter and almost left her mesmerized. As Yan reached to hold her, tempting the vampress to just let him console her, she had already channeled the energy into her body for a teleport. She broke into beads of dust, as if she was made of the same sand that used to be around them. The magical teleportation transported her several hundred feet up into the air where she had recovered from the knee strike finally.
She clapped her hands together and slowly pulled them apart, forming a neon black glowing ball at the center of her palm. The ball drained any light that was coming from the sky, darkening the entire area until lightning strikes zapped down specifically onto the growing ball of destruction. The sizzle and boom could be heard with each strike and the ball grew to the size of an over inflated basketball before she pulled her hands back, readying to throw it.
Energy was unlike the physical martial artist, but her excitement was overflowing. She needed an outlet to it all. When she swung her arms forward, she launched the ball towards Yan, wanting to show him just how high her power could get. The ball ripped through the air and the pressure was felt long before it would attempt to crash onto the top of Yan’s skull -- it pushed sand and glass out of the way like some kind of meteorite readying to clash with the ground.
An explosion would decimate everything for miles on contact with anything it hit, whether Yan defended it or not. That explosion would rock the entire world of Arlia and a plume of smoke and debris that could be seen from all angles of the planet. Once it was over with, Puar wasted no time dropping down from the sky with her aura surrounding her. She looked like a second meteor that was aimed at Yan, and she was aiming to tackle him into the ground with her fists aiming forward in a superman charge.
As she got closer her body split in two and the first one to try and hit him would just be an illusion, but the next one would be real. Contact with him or the ground would cause yet another boom and she would jump up and this time come crashing back down again with a hard hammer strike to try and crush him into the ground. Like before an illusion of her struck first to bait him to block only for the real her to come crashing down.

His hands moved slightly through the dust, making his smile broaden. He was hoping of course she might have jumped back, but she had not thrown caution to the wind despite her mania. She was still fighting very carefully all things considered. Puar was a master, and it was probably hard for her to break away from the things she had spent her life training herself to do. Her fighting style came to her as naturally as breathing, with her battle instinct propelling her escape. Good. He found her in the sky, drawn quicker by her clap and felt her energy begin to expand and contract, pulling itself into a ball as if it were draining everything around it dry. But Yan knew this attack. He knew this attack better than most. He knew the curves of it, the way it breathed in power, and he knew what would happen once it found sweet, sweet contact. It wasn’t an especially fast attack. It didn’t need to be. It was meant to be all encompassing, stealing anywhere he might think to run to as its destruction expanded into the atmosphere and as far as anyone could hope to flee. Lightning was pulled to it, so Yan gave it more. Her aura expanded from his own body, shifting its shape until it was like an electrical current, and it bounced off him and up to her, drawn into her attack by the magnetic pull she was creating. She let it go, a hard throw, and Yan extended his palm up to her, as if reaching for her to take it, to bring her back down to earth. When nothing grabbed hold, his aura left his palm creating a blast that danced off his hand with a long shimmering tail that seemed to stay connected to him, not quite ready to leave home. Then, just shortly before the two blasts met, the slow moving destruction adding anticipation, he flexed his fingers. One slow moving blast was suddenly out paced by dozens, no hundreds. The first ball made contact, half way between them, only for the next blasts to crash into the explosion with enough power to pierce holes right through it. Yan kept his palm upwards, and his blasts did not stop, creating a massive wall between him and Puar’s destruction. The destructive force tried to reach him. The shockwave tried to push past his barrage. It did everything it could to try and touch him, to try and ruin him, but the machine gun fire never seemed to end, and as one blast was seemingly over powered, it was replaced by another creating a complete and total stand still. This didn’t completely negate her attack though. He could have done that, but he felt a bit let down after she stopped his first epic explosion. Instead he just broke down the parts that would touch him. The power ripped open the sky and the explosion swept across Arlia even as it fought Yan’s onslaught, but he was still shooting when the force finally dissipated, leaving him standing on a single platform in the middle of a large crater. The hole was so large that it seemed like she had created a rocky plain instead that simply had mountains in the distance that were its edges. Yan’s palm was still outstretched when he could feel the wind move as the smoke was pushed back by Puar’s physical body shifting it out of the way. Despite the endless barrage that erupted from Yan’s aura, it remained completely intact like an endless source of destructive power. Small arcs of electricity still danced off him, an unending dance it seemed as he served as an overcharged battery, breaking down any resistor. He moved, deciding not to try and unravel the mystery of the illusion but just to avoid both Puars. He side stepped swiftly when she couldn’t avert her aim, then adjusted again as the second, and real Puar did, moving with speed to match her earlier anticipation. His pillar of safety immediately crumbled under her impact. What had been a plateau became a large hill, but still she wished for more contact, and this time he stayed still letting her crash down on him, his arms out as if to catch her, but all her force was absorbed by his aura, and all his aura wished was to engulf her in electric current. ”Don’t worry,” he said, holding her if he could. ”We’re not done.”From behind her came adorable ‘pew, pew’ sounds, but with them came pelting bolts of energy. They weren’t especially strong, but annoying, and if she looked to the cause she’d find herself definitely confused. They were round little balls with cute faces on them and little flower tops. They danced through the air provoking her as they shot their blasts. Trying to keep her close he reached again, his energy sliding off him as it tried to wrap around her completely now, still a burning fire of electrical current meant to over simulate her nervous system as if Yan himself were made of electricity. Through this a bolt seemed to spark more brightly, before the lightning itself seemed to take its quality more seriously, and exploded in a blinding flash.

Puar completely missed, slamming into the ground and shattering the dark obsidian that they created with their energy. When she came down again, sure this time she had him, she crashed into his electrifying field, and she screamed. Yan easily grabbed onto her when he reached, her body shivering with spasms. This fighting style was odd to Puar, usually her opponents kept their distance or were heavily on the defensive -- Yan found a way to still poke holes in her offense and reach his hands in to touch her.She thought that Joseph’s last battle was one of the better fights she had, even though she was not herself at the time. But this? This was on another level that Puar did not expect herself to reach, and the realization of this being a chance to level up her fighting prowess caused her to slowly pull a grin up onto her face. She hadn’t been holding back, and Yan was giving her reason to keep pushing forward. She started to laugh, her screams dying off as they were being replaced. A poof of smoke, a signal that she shapeshifted, filled the air around them. When the round balls with the adorable faces shot at her, they would blow the white smoke away and they would hear an almost metallic sound when their shots hit her back. Yan was holding a bare skinned dragon girl. Her skin was as hard as steel with a mixture of scales the same color as her natural skin and shades of gold that matched her horns and tusks. His energy wrapped around her like sentient vines and the shocks to her nervous system were more exhilarating than painful and her laughing had groans and moans weaved inbetween them. “You. Are. Amazing!” And Puar meant that from the bottom of her soul. Yan was awakening more than just Puar’s battle lust, but there was a glow deep inside of her that sparked. It wasn’t the ring. It wasn’t Distora. That small glow that Yan could now feel felt like a very pinch of the same pressure Saturn, the Angel, gave off when she appeared. Hell, far off in the universe even Ami stirred in her sleep even when that pinch was so very small. Those Angels were known as battle crazy freaks. Yan was waking one up slowly but surely. Red power began to leak out of her skin like a mist as her muscles expanded, putting her body into a Berserk like state. It wasn’t a state of rage, but a state of battle tunnel vision. All she could see was Yan. Nothing in the world mattered anymore. Not the sands. Not the bugs on the planet. Not even the planet itself. Everything around Yan was hazy and indistinguishable with Yan the sole focus of her vision. She flexed her muscles and extended her limb outward to break the electric vine from her and the source of its power, Yan. This prevented the flashing vine from popping off and blinding her. Her power reserves spiked a bit, to give her more access to her latent ki.From both hands, her index and middle finger pressed against her thumb to form lethal ice picks. Her Bagua stance was the most lethal one, with her dripping low and sliding her feet to perfect spacing. Her Neigong training quickly flooded her mind, and it all came down to one phrase she repeated at the beginning of practice to her fighting style:Heaven, Earth, and I are born of one, and I am at one with all that exists. When she internally recited the phrase the ground around both of them flashed a bright blue circle that shaped into the yin and yang symbol. When Yan looked her in the eyes, he could see the symbol mirroring off her eyes, and she had vision on his ki ley line points. Yan was in the range of her technique and there was going to be difficulty escaping. She took a step forward and stabbed repeatedly toward his chest. Each strike would feel like a puncture from a jagged blade, forcing pressure into his body to try and sever away his connection to ki. She glided to his side, continuing her piercing assault and this time she attacked his neck, arm, and his side. With that combination she put more emphasis on his kidney, looking to pop it like a pimple. Her feet continued seamlessly to dance around her, and she continued to stab him. This time her fingers poked into his back. Her breathing remained steady and rapid, placing the best power behind each strike. It was Puar’s goal to break him down with all of these smaller strikes that would build up into greater pain. Her feet pivoted around him, and she forced herself to his front again, but did not spare his untouched side without giveing it a few strikes. While in-front of him her combination ramped up.The speed and ferocity of her seemingly endless assault increased. Puar was done dancing around him now and stood in-front of him with intent to continue with a final and grand set, taking another needed breath to open her ki ley lines properly. She would more than double the amount of strikes she already put on him and the power behind it would start to cave in his body like tiny meteorites crashing into planets. Each strike, Yan could feel his body’s ability to bring forth ki be put at jeopardy. When Puar attacked him, she wasn’t aiming at his vital organs, she was aiming at something deeper and more intimate. Puar was aiming for his soul. Puar morphed, letting Yan see that power up close for perhaps the first time. It was intriguing to say the least and the shift in the feel of her beneath his hands, the shivering strength of a dragon was almost enough to make his hands tremble, but they merely strengthened their grip until she ultimately pulled away. More than her monstrous transformation however, what caught Yan’s attention was the something else. I was much smaller, just beginning to rise. It was something his senses were just as keen to as dimensional rifts. It was something he hated in the wrong hands, but this was something tarnished in hands that were once burned. It didn’t feel like Distora. Distora had a distinctive energy that still bled Kai. The rings all had a touch of Azara burned into them as many magical items did, and he felt no more of that than he had throughout the battle with Puar’s vampire powers. No, this was something else, and of course, Yan wanted to test it. That’s what they were here for wasn’t it? The ring was forgotten, and instead there was just Puar’s battle lust let free, finally able to try out anything and everything no one else before him had withstood. So let’s test it. He met her gaze, seeing that symbol, but his dark eyes fixed on hers with all the power they seemed to carry: that piercing, knowing stand still stare that saw all the way through her to her very core. Those dark eyes suddenly ignited. His normal eye color was a brown so dark it could look black, but now it was as if a blue flame had lit them up from inside. It wasn’t flame though, it was that same electricity, that same energy, deeper infused in Yan. And just as it ignited, his entire power level vanished. It might have given her pause, like her eyes were deceiving her, because while Yan didn’t move his energy signature was gone. He’d feel almost like an illusion, but the ki leylines were still brightly lit. His aura was still pulsing, and the pressure... Yan’s power had created a pressure before this. Even without a fancy transformation that turned the skies black and made the world tremble, his released power before was understandably heavy as one could only imagine beyond five million--but now, as Puar came close to reaching him, him seemingly like an illusion that felt like nothing at all, the pressure had increased. The pressure was immense. Her first strikes barreled through that pressure, stinging into his hardened flesh as he didn’t bother to move, wanting her to feel it--to touch them, those leylines, to see if that spark might further ignite. Yan’s energy signature hadn’t actually vanished after all. It had simply changed. His normal signature was one that many astute scholars in the academy stopped him over. It appeared normal to the average eye, but a more intense stare from someone familiar with ki theory could sense that it was fractured. His normal demonic ki had thousands of fractures throughout it, slivers that were just missing, and it felt like it could and should fall apart at any moment. Now, a more intense stare from someone capable of sensing God Ki knew the truth. These fractures were filled with an energy some scholars could almost sense, because it rippled off many the Lost artifact. It wasn’t actually God ki, but a power from a function of the universe, a force beyond that and equally as unsensible without the right abilities. When his eyes changed, those cracks had expanded, crumbling the rest of his meager mortal coil, and engulfing him in that energy from the inside out. It was a force created by the Finality, from the End, from where all things stopped, and it settled on him only when he had ended all of himself, becoming a new power just as the end so often brought new beginnings. Could Puar sense it? Was that spark enough to grant her new insight? Could the Grace threatening to leak out of her feel the touch of this power--the closest power to its own roots? This didn’t mean her berserk fury level of over powered strength did not harm him, and while he gave her a full touch at first, he quickly thought better of it as the stringing piercers bruised his wearing down body and made his organs shout in heavy protest. Such a vicious woman. He might already be in love. But once in the fray of her overwhelming attack, he couldn’t just escape it willy-nilly. Getting even a guard up was difficult as he felt like his limbs were being pinned down by each strike. All he could manage was to flare his aura up again, creating a makeshift shield that worked at first, but quickly began to crumble. It was enough of a guard however to get his bearings, and while his ki argued with him, refusing to be pulled into his hands, he took a page out of Puar’s book, upping his chaos to increase his luck--because he would need luck. She breathed, and he stepped back through a dimensional hole, vanishing from her sights, from this reality completely before her fists could reach him, letting them drive through the air with deafening swipes. He managed to come out the other side by luck and chance behind her. But he still couldn’t gather his ki… Which was fine. Raised on Kelioux, trained under only one master, ki use was Yan’s forte, but for all intents and purposes he was not Keliouxan anymore. He was Damaskian. When he stretched his palm out towards her back his hand lit up against reasoning, not with ki but in a more circuit-like pattern and energy exploded out from it. The energy expanded so rapidly it was almost immediately larger than her, its force so powerful it had a physical impact. The energy itself tried to engulf her and burn through her defenses deep into her skin like a chemical solvent imbedded into the already deeply damaging explosion of it. That was Damaskia. ”My turn!” he let out with glee as he could feel his hands begin to tingle as his leylines settled again and his ki control returned. So enthused by this he immediately let it grow from his hands, creating two glowing balls of energy that swirled destructively like her earlier bomb. It looked like he was about to blow Arlia skyhigh once more, but he didn’t. Instead, he closed his fists around the energy, compacting it. It understandably leaked out both sides, but he gripped it tight with his returned control until he was holding solid bars of sharpened plasma. The air around the two weapons distorted, like heat mirages creating fuzzy warped outlines. He held pure destruction in his hands, and he aimed to use it. Rushing forward he jumped into the air before dropping like a ton of bricks, bringing both blades down on her rocky shoulders. His lust for her was pouring off him as he tried to push all that energy down and through her as the air itself crackled and sizzled even before it made contact. He wanted to burn through her, to feel down into her muscles and through those as well. It was time he brought her ruin. Moving with a dancer’s grace, and likely brought up to that similar feeling of elation of dancing with the perfect partner, Yan swung again. He attempted to follow her movements, wanting to feel that warmth again--the warmth of her blood. The blade stretched to reach her, vibrating like a thousand chain saws as her tried to slice her in half. ”Oh, yeah,” he let out, ”the ring.” Upon remembering he adjusted his stance, moving to strike once more to where he imagined it would be, where Aria’s had been in the footage Juturna had taken against that strange fellow. With all the destructive power he could manage, with a power level expanding far past what that fellow could reach, he struck her, aimed at that energy, that seeping feeling of Kai and Azara’s heart that pressed into his life’s work.

Losing track of sensing Yan was just like a sudden loss of smell, but not from her nose. The instinctual sense and awareness of her opponent through ki had suddenly felt bland and ordorless and that gave her a slight pause. Puar felt a similar pressure like this before, a presence which she could not dissect. Even when Yan felt like he’d disappear forever when she closed her eyes she felt her strikes and movement as if she were swimming. That pressure…
Who in the world was Yan?
Instead of letting the unknown fill her with anxiety, there was a moment of relief instead. This pressure was stronger than what Azara forced out. She felt there was no one who could beat Azara. He had excluded the same effect when he had revealed himself to Puar and took control over her. The difference was what she could feel.
Mid combination, she smiled for a moment. She could honestly say that Barkley was right, her dad can give you hope in a lost place if he wanted to. There was a moment of relaxation in her mental state and at the moment she felt a tug from deep in her stomach -- like an expanion of her soul trying to fill her body -- her mental guard had fallen and she couldnt’ stop from letting the awakening from happening.
She felt this prick before, when Azara’s pressure hit her. Yan’s pressure touched it even further and a bright light could be seen at her stomach. It was like a glowing ball of energy was right underneath her skin and it was a warm light. Each strike seemed to increase the radius of the light and by the time he slipped away through a dimensional tear, her entire body had a faint golden glow. Yan would feel the grace of a fallen angel covering her.
When he popped out from behind her, Puar had already switched from the supernatural senses and to her natural ones. She spun around with her golden coated arm and clashed against the expanded energy, creating a massive spark on contact. With all of her impressive strength she slapped the energy bomb away from her and diverted it towards a giant sand dune where it detonated.
When Yan got a good look at her while forming his energy spheres, he could tell this was no longer just Puar. She had a similar power-hungry look that Saturn had displayed when he was soaking up Hell’s power. It was a lot less manic and sensual -- but those notes highlighted her expression. The golden aura’s light intensified around her body and so did the angel’s presence.
“Bring it!” She yelled back at him. He grabbed his energy and formed a solid blade of plasma. Puar balled her fists up and pulled them back. She brought both her hands up like an X, almost as if she was blocking. Instead of resting her arms there, however, she charged upward to clash with his blade yelling as she did so. At the clash, she would open the X to try and fling his blades to the side, creating plenty of sparks as she did so.
Puar couldn’t afford to take any steps back and felt the weight and strain the first strike put on her arms. She charged forward toward Yan’s next swing with her shoulder, the energy that surrounded her still intense. That clash made another strike of lightning and a boom of thunder. She stumbled back and took a breath -- the aura flickering away like a stubborn dying light. As just as quick as the spark appeared, it had been beaten away at the ferocity of the Monkey.
Puar took in deep breaths, showing her fatigue after defending against the two attacks. Yan was priming another attack and the mention of the ring brought Puar back to the original plan. She had realized something in that moment -- there was something else inside her that was stronger than Distora. Did it weaken the link between them?
Puar felt detached from the ring, more than she ever felt. When Yan struck out at her Puar spat out the ring and jumped back into a makeshift dimensional tear, leaving just the ring behind to take on Yan’s power. The tip of his plasma smashed into the make of the ring and immediately his surroundings faded into black.
Both Yan and the ring would be trapped in a frozen state, like fish in a solid frozen lake.
“Really? What have I done to you, anyway.”
The Kai, Distora, walked into the only light in the darkness. She was as snooty as ever with her arms crossed and a frown on her face as she walked toward his frozen body and looked down at the ring.
“Well, this is going to hurt you. Before I break, I want to thank you. I don’t want to be connected to this bitch anymore. Azara just wants her because she has Pluto’s Grace. I do not like playing second place with any of these Angel bitches.”
Distora unfolded her hands and placed them at the hilt of his plasma sword, gingerly and softly like she was grabbing onto something delicate. There was a sly and perverse grin that rose from a frown that looked impossible to flip.
“Destroy me. Don’t stop,” she whispered. “It's just a part of me. Azara has another piece of me and the others in his ring and uses that to control people who have matching rings. I’m a little special, however. You need…”
“Power…”
Her hands gently stroked his plasma blade, beckoning him to produce more and more power. It was like extracting a broth through a strainer, leaving all his most important bits behind but with each pull of her hand across his blade, she was trying to squeeze out power to feed into breaking the ring -- breaking her ring.
Breaking her. Her face showed the pain of death, the cringe and twist of intense pressure trying to force her apart from the inside. Her eyes were wide with derangement despite the pain and there was a sick and growing smile on her face as she continued to pull with more force.
“Put more power into it. Come on. Put all of it in,” she said in a hoarse whisper that felt like she was trying to scream it but could not. Many took on death differently. Maybe it was the fact Distora knew that she was only a piece of the original. Maybe she enjoyed this more than anyone thought she would. Taquin didn’t want to die, and she was pitiful in her display of death.
There was no acceptance to it and there was no fight. Distora was different. She accepted it. She wanted to accept it. And then there was a fight along with it. She wasn’t letting Yan destroy her without sucking him dry of energy. She didn’t care if it was trying to kill him or not, and why would she? He was trying to kill her right now.
She brought her lips over to his ear and whispered, “Be a good boy, and don’t fight it. Let it all out.”
After that whisper her body dropped lower and the darkness of the nightmare concealed everything else that came after -- every attempt to drain Yan dry of his energy.
After what felt like hours and hours of time, Distora’s body could no longer hold shape and she laughed before finally shattering into pieces, more than finished with the deed she performed. The ring cracked and the darkness that surrounded them vanished. Another crack appeared on the ring and a massive explosion would set off, being fueled by this piece of Distora and Yan’s power that he allowed to get absorbed.
It was that power that ultimately destroyed the ring and while time sped itself back up to match the outside world, Puar appeared from the dimensional tear rolling onto the ground and groaning. She looked up to see if Yan was able to take care of the ring, and to see what kind of repercussions occurred while trying to destroy it.

Once more Yan’s strikes were matched out by Puar’s and his destructive power was diminished in an epic clash. It seemed they both got their heads in gear by the third strike however, finally setting up the ring to take the brunt of it. Based on Aria’s experience, he did not think it would have the same physical resilience as Puar did, but that thought was countered as the world went dark.
Along with darkness, he felt the world seem to freeze up before a voice danced through it, and a single light appeared. It was a Distora, who he had not seen since that time in the library, though her haughtiness had not changed even on the cusp of destruction.
What had she done to him? Nothing. While he was very against stealing someone’s free will, Distora had done nothing to him, and that was the perfect thing to have done for Yan to murder her. He had forged a connection to Puar. He had not forged a connection to Distora, and without that connection, she might as well have not even been a person. In the moment he struck the ring, that was all she was, a ring, and her consciousness meant nothing. He was not a good man trying to save the day. He was a monster who saw the world so selfishly that life itself only mattered when it served him some purpose.
But seeing her now, she wasn’t quite nothing. He remembered her in the battle royale, and how she seethed malice against Saturn. He remembered the love sick way she looked over Azara. Seeing her now, with her power pinning him down, he saw the woman who was thanking him, who was accepting this ending, and he felt for her.
And then she touched him, making an expression he enjoyed perhaps the most in this world, and she wanted his energy. She wanted his power.
But, she was mistaken about it hurting him. Yan’s power could not hurt him, as it was forged to put him back together. Yan had already destroyed himself. He destroyed himself so completely it created an Ending, and this power was what had brought him back. This power had birthed him, and while it held in it the power to end so many things, it could not hurt him. Even as she drew out his energy, he could feel it healing the wounds Puar inflicted upon him, feel his stamina giving rise to new action. The more power he expended, the more flush it moved around him, the more it wanted to be used and manipulated. The chaos in him Distora had sparked rolled and trembled under her touch, her urging, and all that power wanted her.
Or maybe he just did.
His willpower broke through first, and he moved to her touch, and teased then, slowing the output before quickening it until this innuendo was going a little too far.
”Take it,” he breathed, with willingness but also demand. She wouldn’t get it completely for free, and if she had to go out, at least this piece of her, he would make it an exit worth remembering, and in the end he’d give it all, all that he could possibly give.
When the dust settled, Puar would find Yan on his back, his arms crossed over his chest back in his coffin position, the battle won. He honestly would have felt bad about leaving her high and dry for Distora after such a heated and worthwhile exchange, but knew well enough Oolong was a call away to meet any and all needs she still had.

Ragged breaths filled the air as Puar finally stood up and the first thing she felt was an emptiness that she had never experienced before. The air she took in felt like it was trying to fill an endless void and Puar swore that she could breathe in forever, but there was still a limit that she hit abruptly.
And so she let the air out hard as if she was on the verge of choking. There weren't any expectations of what feeling would be left once the ring was taken from her body. This void was probably the most adequate feeling, since Puar could not think of a time without the ring. Matter of fact, since a lot of her young life was manipulated she really didn’t know how long she had this ring inside of her.
She walked over toward Yan, with a bit of limp as adrenaline had long since lowered and she could feel the pain anchoring her down. She stopped to look down at him in his coffin state. “Are you trying to be funny or something,” she said while giving him a kick on the side -- no strength behind the actual kick.
Puar fell over after that, as fatigue grabbed her easily. She hit the ground, sand fluffing up into the air. That is when she felt the void start to fill with something hot. It was the same feeling she felt earlier but it was a gentle glow as the power of an angel’s grace began its second spark into life but this time there was going to be nothing to stop it from growing stronger.
