Broly stood in the middle of a field where he was supposed to meet up with Sola. He knew she had been in a very sour mood recently, and there was no better way to blow off some steam than to have a good fight. He was somewhat worried about her, given how she’d been acting and he hoped there was nothing seriously wrong.
He came equipped with his large sword, so they could properly fight, though he didn’t know if the woman would bring her own weapon. It was better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it. Sola had proven to be a competent fighter in the past, so there was no reason to assume she couldn’t handle herself without one.
He looked around and saw that she wasn’t in sight yet. Had she mistaken the time? Or maybe he had just gotten there a little too early. He hadn’t properly hung out with the woman in so much time he didn’t know if they even remembered each other’s habits. He let out a deep sigh and crossed his arms, wishing for time to pass by just a little more quickly.

With the setting of the sun, the only sound that was audible was a slight crackling sound of a campfire. Sola finally came out, from behind a treeline and into the field with the soft light of evening behind her. She walked slowly toward Broly, her black robe flowing behind her. Surprised to see him still here, her lips curved towards a smirk, “Well well, aren’t we just the sight for sore eyes, with a massive sword resting against your hip.”
“Broly,” she said sweetly but her tone was deadly, “I wanted to thank you for your patience. I… lost track of time.” Her smirk spread further across her face even her red eyes had malicious intentions in them. “I have been waiting for a good fight and it appears that my waiting has only made the wait even more enjoyable.” She approached him, standing about arm’s length from him and looked at him ravenously. “It’s been too long since I’ve sent someone to hell.”
“So, are you ready? I’ll let you make the first move and all, since I’m late. Just don’t bore me. You know I hate to be bored.” She stretched and held out her hands. She wasn’t scared of the sword like normal people might be.

Broly grinned when he saw Sola finally show up. She looked as demoic as ever. “Looks like you’re eager for a fight, eh?” he asked rhetorically as he wielded his massive two handed sword. “I don’t suppose you mind if I use this, do ya? It’s been a while and I could use the practice.” He focused ki into the blade and within moments a fire started dancing along the edges. He nodded to Sola then rushed forwards. Every step he took dug into the fertile soil and flung mud behind him. When he got close, he tried cleaving off one of Sola’s arms with a ki enhanced slash. After that he skidded to a halt and spun around to try slashing her across the back with yet another ki enhanced slash. Not losing momentum, he dug his sword into the ground and used it as leverage to try kicking Sola with both of his feet at once. He swung himself around on the sword to try whacking her to the side with his shins. Then, he withdrew his sword and tried smashing her with the pommel of his sword. “How’s that for a warm up?” he chided as he finally came to a stop to catch his breath. The proud smirk on Sola’s lips deepened at the eagerness in his eyes as he lunged forward, the flame ignited at the end of his sword. She blocked his first ki-enhanced slash and with a quick motion of her wrist she parried the heat of the energy. She moved aside and with a menacing look, a quick flash of black aura around her hand to parry the second slash.
However, Broly’s attack continued and did not stop. He swung his legs in a brutal kick and she turned to avoid them, her cloak flying behind her. But she failed to sustain this confidence for a long time. The next kick was delivered too quickly. She received it in her stomach area, and the pain shot through her side. She was still unable to catch her breath when he delivered the pommel strike, which sent her flying backward. She fell on the floor, stumbled and, though her movements were quite uncoordinated, she was able to get one knee up, balancing with her other hand.
She raised her gaze towards him and the red haze of anger was evident in her glowing scarlet irises. She gave a low eerie laugh. “Not bad, Broly. But you’ll regret that.” Not a moment later, Sola began to speak and two balls of dark ki appeared in her throat. She fired them in rapid succession, the explosions coming towards him with ferocity.
The field around them sparked as her energy flew through the air towards Broly. She stood up cautiously and wiped a small bit of mud from her face, her eyes steady. “Consider that my welcome,” she said sarcastically.

Broly was prepared for a little more banter but when Sola opened her mouth a couple blasts of ki came flying at him. He hardly had time to react as they were launched mid converseation. “Rude!” he shouted as the blasts shot towards him. He took them right to the chest and though he had been working on his physique, there was not much muscle could do against raw energy. His body was thrown from the ground and flew several dozen yards before coming to a rough stop by digging his heels into the ground. “Looks like you’re serious about this fight,” he said as spit to the side. “Looks like I’ll need to take this seriously too.” He held out two hands with his pointer fingers lifted. He fired a beam from each meant to distract Sola while he prepared his next move. He roared and his hair sparked. It turned from black to golden in an instant and an aura around him started to swirl as he raised himself to the strongest that he was capable of being. When he was finally done shouting, he would suddenly appear right above Sola. He let loose a blue ball of energy that shot down like a cannon. As he fell he brought his sword down, following the blast, so that he could cut into her back if she was still there. If she was still somehow there, he would try to kick her to the side for good measure. Sola prepared herself for the counter attack and could tell the two energy beams were coming. She braced herself and let the blasts hit her in the hands that she held out to greet them. As she felt the dust settling down around her she could see Broly was gone. Where was he? Oh, above her, charging up his energy. His hair had turned black to gold, not a good sign.
“Finally showing me what you’re capable of?” she asked, standing with her hands up to protect herself just in time before a Kamehameha from Broly hit the ground. She ground her teeth, feeling the pressure as she stood in front of the blast, her dark ki clashing against his energy, and sending sparks and shockwaves flying through the air.
When he was low enough he tried to get her with a cut that split open her back and then she was kicked to the side. With a burst of energy she ran at him and fired a ki charged punch straight into Broly’s abdomen, she then followed up with another punch that she aimed to shake his body. She was furious and the strikes sailed towards her target as quick as she could make them go.
But she wasn’t done yet.
She spiraled into a kick hard enough to break bones at his chest, and then repeated the motion for a second kick.
She took a few steps away from him, her breathing slow, and her gaze fixed on him. “You want more, golden boy?”

Broly panted from the excessive use of ki he just went through. He hadn’t made much progress either, judging by how much spirit Sola still had in her. She’d rushed at him and tried to hit him with some blast punches. He swung his sword around to connect the flat of his blade with them each time, allowing the metal in his weapon to absorb the brunt of the force. Her follow up attacks were a little more successful, smashing right into his chest twice and making him stagger backwards. “Yes, I want more,” he said through gritted teeth. He lunged forwards and tried to strike her three times with his sword, intending to skewer her through the stomach if he landed a good hit. When he was done with that, he leapt into the air and fired off three kamehamehas that would shoot at different angles and arc towards Sola, attempting to make a crater where she stood. Had he the energy he would have followed up with another sword slash, but he was getting exhausted. “I need to restore some ki,” he thought to himself. He was largely a ki based fighter, so running low was always something to worry about. Sola looked furious as Broly began his counter attack, his sword attacks coming straight for her at point blank range. Forcing her black ki into her hands, she stood her ground with great determination to parry any of his blows. The first sound was the sound of metal on metal as her ki-clad palm made contact with the flat of his blade and knocked the energy of the strike away. The second strike made her retreat a little, her hands wrapped tightly as she kept the sword away. With a growl she parried his third strike, she felt the blade slice close and she moved just out of reach.
When Broly jumped Sola watched him and felt the change in his ki as he prepared three Kamehameha at the same time. She took a deep breath, black aura covering her hands while she prepared for the attack to come. The first blast hit her block and the shock waves pressed against her body. She immediately used her arms again to block the second blast, the force of the explosion throwing down the grass in a circle around her. The third blast came and struck her; her ki barrier responded by surging as much energy as she could before she felt like backing down.
In a deep growl, Sola fired a mouth blast and sent a sphere of darkness straight at Broly as he came down. Immediately thereafter, she thrust a ki-infused punch towards his chest, then pooled her remaining ki into the punch she threw next.

“You survived, impressive,” Broly noted when Sola stood defiantly. “You know, if we keep going at it like this, one of us will end up dead. Although, I suppose as a demon it’ll be like returning home for the holidays.” He chuckled at his own joke. A ball of ki screamed towards him, but he swiped it aside with the back of his palm. The blast hit a tree in the distance and exploded.
He felt like he had the upper hand as Sola ran towards him for a follow up punch. He crossed his arms and took it in the forearms. This also exploded and he skidded in the mud like he’d done at least one time before this fight.
When he came to a stop, he started to flare his energy to restore his ki just a little. It would hopefully last him until the end of the fight. He needed to start conserving is ki, so he settled for wielding his sword again. He twirled it a few times then started to run towards Sola. When he got to her, he tried to swipe his sword at her stomach then again by swinging his sword down at her head.
