Things were just great for Bramble, if one discounted the pillory she mostly required. It wasn't that she was unstable or a criminal, she just didn't have much self control over the Chaos Seed without the thing. The vampiric alien sighed as she looked up at the night sky on Freiza, a glint in her eyes that would make one think she was blind. A grin spread across her face as she laid back enough that the spike at the top of the pillory kept her a bit inclined as she closed her eyes. She was hungry, but the hunt in the real world could wait.
Bramble delved deep into her mind and drew sharply into the psychic world of the sparring realm. She drew back the curtain of reality and cracked it with a comically large mallet, and peeled back the layer into a world that she crafted with her mind. The world itself was not like the other she had made, where she recreated Namek to fight that robot. Instead, she felt nostoligic and recreated something discribed to her in the past. It was the large balcony of a castle. The building itself was new, a sheen of freshly finished morter and brick smelled fresh and natural.
The building was also imposing, as she had imagined the one that was a mix of fact and fiction from Earth, the usual mixture of the myth of Dracula. The fields below held people impaled on spikes, though the bodies were long dead. The death below had long passed, as though the land were old, and a table set aside for one to watch. It no longer held food or drink, but the bowls, cups, and utensils remained. At least as Bramble imagined them, so they turned out more elaborate than she thought they likely were. Who cared, though?
The castle balcony was wide enough for a fight, and she rocked on the balls of her feet, and did a little jig as she waited. Bramble still had the spikes through her ankles, though she had adapted to those long ago. She didn't have her pillory, never used it within the sparring realm. She preferred to feel free here, and that showed in her energetic movements. She fidgeted when it took a long time to find a new foe, after all. Her mouthful of fangs glinted as she grinned in anticipation. The interory that the balcony led to was that of a ball room, overly large and imposing. Deep reds and golds filled the walls, as cracked throne sat near the back, with tables that lined the walls themselves, likely for the guests that would no longer visit.
She didn't see the place as dreary or dour, because for her, this was a setting for combat. The doors that led to the once opulent castle were half off, the hinges on one of the two half doors cracked. Cliché, but she wasn't here for originality. Bramble was ready for a fight.

Seta drummed her fingers on the armrest of her chair in the command well of the Wargstooth. She really did sometimes miss calling it the Orizaba but needs must, eh? Ebony eyes closed, dropping her head until her chin almost touched her chest. Muscles flexed then relaxed. As if psyching herself up for a fight. But there was none to be found on the ship. No battle to rush into with all guns blazing. Positively... boring. A Saiyan needed to fight to feel alive. And so, sometimes, Seta managed to find her own fun in the Astral Realm. Fingers twitching, Seta allowed her mind to be yanked along the vortex that greeted her entrance into the dimension far different from the one her physical form occupied. Her arms folded across her chest as soon as she appeared. Her gaze flicked over her surroundings and her mouth set into a grim line. The architecture was easily recognized and she found herself again missing being back in her real universe, being the actual King of all Saiyans instead of an Overlord lackey. She wore just the black bodysuit she would wear under her Royal Armor along with a pair of white gloves and matching boots. What did it matter, really, what she wore in the Astral Realm? It wasn't real and nothing was permanent in the Realm outside of the physical. Tail flicking, her eyes narrowed in on Bramble. Seta kept her power level at a balmy half million. If only because Seta enjoyed the rush of actually being able to power up into something greater than she seemed to be. Her head tilted, pupils dilating for the darker setting. Inside her mind, as some might say. The thing was, she simply let her soul escape her body for a bit. Her crew had gotten used to it even back when she had to use a stupid little rock to let her do this. But she had learned, become proficient in both telepathic and telekinetic abilities. No one really expected that out of a Saiyan, which amused her. "Must we do the dark and dreary castle thing?" she asked, voice a careful neutral.

The girl blinked, and then smiled as the woman arrived on her castle. She wore a simple bodysuit, and the young woman guessed that she was either human, Saiyan, or maybe even Avalanian. She guessed Saiyan among those choices based on hair and eye color, but she'd never know until given the proper clues.
Bramble listened to the neutral tone given, and then cocked her head to the side and pondered. She had put quite a bit of thought into this building, though it seemed that her opponent this time didn't appreciate the efforts that she had put into it. As a former lab subject, she ability to create was fairly limited. She shrugged her shoulders a bit, before the girl replied apologetically, "Sorry, I only have a few settings I can use." That was likely not to make much sense to her foe, but it was honestly the best that she could reveal. Bramble wasn't exactly "out" in the public eye of Damaskia.
The girl rolled her shoulders then, as Bramble observed the chi levels that Seta gave off. It wasn't bad, as she had let herself sit at around a third of maximum, not much above the one that the Saiyan woman gave off. Bramble sniffed the air, as she grinned, her very pointy teeth glinted in the air. "I'm sure we can light the whole place up." The grin was quickly followed by an aura that gave off a pink aura, a rarity in the universe. But it was like a cave had been lit up as she didn't raise her combat strength, but decided to start them off as she jumped for Seta.
"Name's Chaparral," she said quickly before the nimble warrior swung her fist towards Seta's face. It was quick, but held a fair bit of power as a miss would have still left with the sound of a jet engine. The girl was not done, as she seemed to draw a pistol from thin air as she pointed it directly at Seta and fired at her chest with an eye for fairly accurate aiming. The spikes through her ankles crackled with a bit of charge, but that was about it as Bramble flipped the energy pistol in her hand and fired the weapon a second time, this time the bullet was created with her own ki and held much more of a punch than her first shot.
She paused long enough to readjust her footing as the warrior kept the grin on her face, "Let's have tons of fun."

A soft snort was given. In all honesty, Seta liked to play around with her settings. Almost Hyperbolic Time Chamber, the steppes of Vegeta, a cliche dojo, fields of Earth... she used them all. Sometimes, when she was feeling particularly artistic, she would play with the Astral Realm while waiting for an opponent and see exactly how truly alien and different she could make things. Maybe one day she'd even try an asteroid field... She had fought in some before in the real dimension. Would it be possible to mimic that atmosphere lacking area? Flying through an asteroid field without any gravity to speak of could be hard to replicate. When the aura flared around her new opponent, Seta did not actually respond in kind. Instead her body shifted a little to the left, so incremental it was as if the Saiyan had not moved at all. But it was enough that the first attack-- the fist aimed at her scarred face-- blew past her ear. The sonic boom would have been deafening if Seta were not used to loud noises and her body's natural protections against it given her biology as a Saiyan. "Overlord Seta of the Saiyan Empire," she said shortly. She had shed her Paukena alias for the time being. The gunshot slammed into the shield affixed to her wrist. In a blink, her sword appeared on her waist. Her tail wagged as if absolutely happy about a fun little row. She used her other hand to flick a basketball sized ball of ki towards her opponent, smashing into the follow-up attack. Her own body then blinked out of existence right after she sent a dual Big Bang Attack. For a good few seconds there was no trace of her ki signature. Almost as if she had already left the Astral Realm before things could get too hot. But then it appeared high above, standing on the parapets. Her eyebrow rose as she mused. And then she hopped down and shot towards the balcony she had left earlier. Her aura flared around her, her speed making her less than a blur. As she got close enough to slam into her opponent's body, the image of an Oozaru roaring erupted behind her and then as her fists went forward to plow into Bramble, a mirage of a dragon resembling Shenron twisted around her body then flew forwards. An audible roar left her own mouth as she slammed through the air.

The two were fairly evenly matched, Bramble thought, at least in the brief scuffle. It was a good way to judge Seta, as the vampiric alien grinned wildly as the jumped away from the second azure orb flung out after her gunshot. She had seen something of the sort in her vision, and it was good enough for her to trust. It usually was the opponent's opening move that she had seen that led her to trust the vision or feeling. She landed and continued until they got to the position of Seta in the high ground and Bramble on the balcony.
"Saiyan Empire, huh? Haven't seen me a real Saiyan before," Bramble commented with a grin. She even let out a little whistle of amusement. She had read about them, she had a lot of time to read about the other rac-
Whoops, she almost got too distracted. Her opponent jumped from her position above and drove down towards Bramble as she ignited a fistful of dragon, one of them that might have been from Earth's legends. The alien smirked then, all of her sharp teeth on full display as her right arm flowed with ki before she jumped towards Seta as she replied in kind, "Guess it's a dragon show down!" She punched forwards with her right arm as she unleashed her own draconic ki, but this was not the same as Seta's.
Instead, the dragon was skeletal in nature, an undead as visualized, and it roared out in challenge to the green life-filled dragon that it was set against. The challenge of life and death, as it soared for Seta's as Bramble aimed to have the dragons destroy one another, all so that she could use the smoke as her ki signature vanished. It was only momentary, however, as she streaked forward at blinding speeds and threw a left hook at Seta's jaw before she followed up with a quick flick her left heel towards Seta's chin in a quick combination.
She used her telepathic abilities to create a small hand rest as she spun her torso whilst upside down and swung her right leg powerfully towards Seta's kidney-area, as she aimed to fling Seta at the battlements of the castle. The balcony was already fairly damaged, so Bramble thought that they should change scenes. Who didn't love a change of scenery?
"What a lovely fight," Bramble cooed as she let the gun drop from her hand some time a go on the balcony. Who cared anyway, she had over a hundred of such weapons at her beck and call, in and out of the Astral Realm. "I hope this hasn't been too boring, Overlord Seta. Or would you prefer just Seta?" Her tone wasn't in mockery, Bramble was just not all that aware.

Dragon Dive completed, the Shenron lookalike flickered then disappeared. Seta righted herself in time to let the next attack slam into the spongier part of her arm. It hurt, but wasn't broken. Well, maybe a microfracture or two. Not that that mattered much in the Astral Realm. Likewise with the Dragon, Seta would have also disappeared again if she hadn't been far more interested in a kick frightening close to her tail. This meant that she could whip her tail around the offending appendage trying to attack her. She spun on her heel like a ballerina, sending the back of her palm at Bramble. A Saiyan's tail wasn't terribly strong but it did have minor prehensile action. She would never be able to actually hold an opponent with her tail (at least not without a lot of training that Saiyans did not tend to do). But it would at least be an exercise in surprise. If Seta's body was going to be going at max velocity, at the very least Seta should cause surprise. Her tail let go before she could get to the end of her rope, as it were. And then her hands slammed into the building and she sprang off of it. Just barely managing to control her myriad forms of power to not do any physical damage to the building with her own defense. "Too bad the Dive was never meant to be much more. I think Kakarot has a kind of... Dragon Fist move..." she said, chewing on her inner cheek in thought. But then she shrugged, which probably should have left her open to attack. But she had learned over decades to not allow herself to be too absorbed in thought or discussion. You do that, as a Saiyan? Hah. "Hard to say. Not seen a lot. But don't worry about it. You've more power than I want to try to expend my own trying to get closer to on something like this." Only when one had worked so hard, so long on their psychic abilities were they able to peel back the layers in the Astral Realm. "I'm here for one thing only, to keep my mind as agile as my physical form. To learn new things that I can apply later in my own battles." A smile then a shrug. Before she raised one hand then tucked the other behind it. With a sharp bark of a string of words, she released a giant blast of ki that would have been called Final Flash in the real world. One didn't really need to always give the game away in the Astral Realm.

Damn, she hadn't even answered her question. How rude, thought the vampiric being. Well, Bramble wasn't exactly all that bothered over the answer in any case! She'd just call her Seta and skip all the formal bullshit anyway. That brought a sharp tooth grin to her face, as she faced the Saiyan Overlord with and even more energetic stance as she hopped around on her toes for a moment as there was a slight lull in the battle. Just long enough for the Experiment to sense the change in Seta's battle chi, the sharp boost gave it away. Well, gave it away was-
The blast started and her eyes rose in surprise. She rose her own battle strength high, higher, and braced her arms in front of her as she used the bounces she had started to move off to the side, though the blast practically ripped the castle apart from Bramble's left side. She wasn't really all that damage in her own mind, though that certainly did hurt like hell. Her right arm had the clothes burned away, though, and she felt like it was heavily bruised. "Ouch, that was quite somethin'," she huffed, that stupid grin still on her face.
Bramble suddenly moved from her spot, and appeared in a swift knee sent towards Seta's chin, before the image turned into a mirage of blue, as her real body moved in from Seta's left as she slashed at Seta with her right leg, aimed the spike through her ankle at Seta's armpit. She wanted to try and pierce one of the vulnerable parts of most creatures, the joint under their arm. As the leg retreated from her handstand with her left palm, Bramble's other hand already had a weapon in it, this time she held a shotgun in her hand and fired it at close range.
Bramble launched herself once more at Seta, as she threw an uppercut at Seta's jaw once more, this time it was her real body as she swiftly moved in once more and threw and knee at her face, and followed up with a quick jab from her free hand as she wondered. "How long have ya been fightin' Seta? I can tell your experienced!" She had her guard up much more now as she nursed her bruised arm with the gun, using it like a makeshift turnicid without any of the bandages or straps.

Seta exhaled, her mind drifting for a second. But even as it drifted, she was moving without really having to activate a damn thing. Her body from decades of training she wished she could give the credit to but in this case it was thanks to her psychic power being able to tell her a multiple choice of what was going to happen and then choosing the most likely. The Saiyan dipped away from the blow meant for the chin and then her arm clamped down on the leg meant for her lymph node. Twisting her body into a sideways handspring, she released the arm at the apex of the roll. The scatter blast pinged against part of the bodysuit, shredding the material. But instead of a howl of pain, Seta just clenched her jaw. Eyes flashed-- but not the usual black to aquamarine. Instead the pupils disappeared entirely but then returned. The aura around her turned golden. But she didn't transform. No, she let the pain suffuse her entire form and let the ki trickle out of that box she kept it in. Went above and beyond what her maximum should have been. Using the half-step's power without actually fully transforming. It wasn't common, but she achieved it somewhat by dragging her hand through the God ki inside of her. The question made her hesitate for a fraction of a second, flicking balls of ki forward while dancing backward in an attempt to turn the physical attacks away. She probably could have just allowed the blows to at least hit the small amount of fat on her body-- she could withstand a number of physical blows even from an opponent that outstripped her. She always kept track of exactly how many she had in her when it came to the Astral Realm. Mainly because this dimension didn't wholly care about what your physical body could handle it cared how your mind was able to keep track of taking. "Mm. You don't make it to Overlord without having a modicum of experience, most commonly in full-out war," she admitted. Well, by all accounts, becoming a War Hero had happened after the Overlord ranking. At least... for the Seta she was pretending to be. "You'll forgive the slight distraction. Most bouts I do in this plane I try to overwhelm my own ability to multitask. To that end, my underlings in the real world try to split my attention in any number of ways. But, I do have a little bit of a truth to tell... I don't like the rank of Overlord. I'm meant for so much more. But, we all have our roles to play. I'm an Overlord who outpaces her King and has to pretend otherwise." And sometimes, because of her psychic ability her mind sometimes lost track of what was the present time and what was the future. Or the past. Ki erupted from the back of her palm and she shot forward, slicing towards first Bramble's front then teleporting behind her to slice at the back. "I've been an Ovelord for... hm. About a decade? But Saiyans, we train since birth almost. I've been fighting since I was a toddler. I'll leave you to guess how old I am since we also have the annoying quality of not aging until we're at the very end of our lifespan." Her other hand yanked around to fire off a double ki orb attack, one right after the other. Word Count: 580 Total Word Count: 1,792
