So this is the price of ambition. This is the price of wanting to build something meaningful to me and potentially others. This is the price for pursuing a peaceful arrangement and resolution to a conflict. This is the price of trying to create, only for both sides of a conflict to demand a sacrificial pyre. Being stuck between wanting a peaceful arrangement and assisting my friend's foes. Being stuck in a position where I have to sacrifice in order to preserve what remains. The price of wanting to build something truly great, only for that rock and hard place to require that feat of writing and construction to be consumed, whether to feed the power or others or deny it to those same in an attempt to make the war harder for the opposition. That is what this contest is at this point, a continuous and constant feud that requires all to pick a side or be consumed in ravaging conflict in order to deny the opponent a possible asset or power boost. To have to pick between wanting to be left alone and fighting for the sake of a friend's position. What even is honor in a situation like this?
I'm done. I'm posting here in as more or less a courtesy, in case I end up wishing to return for whatever reason, as well as maintain planets that are being destroyed as we speak. A sign of good will, I suppose. I would not expect me to return any time soon, but I might as well leave the door unlocked just in case, even if it is shut. I hope everyone takes care during these times.
But I'm done.

A game is a game and we all play it differently and want different things. But if I find people especially staff are behind the scenes giving players shit for how they want to react to IC situations I will personally end their tenure here on ADBZ. We should not be in the business of driving people off or away from this game because they did not meet your level of expectation. It is not for anybody to decide how one plays this game. If you wish to ToM worlds, blow up worlds... offer sacrifices or go around and be a defender of the galaxy and ruin characters IC plans it’s not for anyone to critically judge you or sap your enthusiasm or drive. There are mechanics to the game that can not be avoided and probably will never go away but that is a risk you take. Lilim... Curtis, the door is never locked to you and sadly we will be less of a community without you around. I hope to see you again.
