Krillin, combat, human 1336 Vlad 1652
Krillin packed the last of his belongings in the small pack, getting ready for another trip around the universe. There were so many more things he needed to do, and there was never enough time. At least now that he could teleport anywhere in the universe, packing became a bit of a novelty. If he forgot something he could just always come back for it.
As he put the last of his belongings into his bag, the ruby gem slipped free, falling to the cot in front of him. He picked it up, giving it a light toss and wondered who was out there on the astral plane tonight.
He ran his fingers over the gem, letting the slightest amount of ki flow into it as he felt the familiar woosh fill his ears, finding himself in unfamiliar dark forest. Three moons hung in the sky, providing plenty of light to see, and a million, million stars filled the heavens as Krillin looked up in wonder.
It was then that he felt a power level nearby. He turned in the direction, noticing now the dim fire light in the distance. He approached cautiously, silently making his way through the brush. Though the spiritual power was much higher than his own, he felt nothing ominous or foreboding about it, usually a good sign, and besides, his acute ability to sense other people's aura's had never steered him wrong yet. He came to the clearing, noticing a blue android sitting in the fire light. There was a familiarity about him, though Krillin was sure that he had never met the man before.
Ever cautious, Krillin stepped out of the underbrush and cleared his throat, "Hello there? Mind if I join you?"

Vlad chaotically fought his way to a point to weigh his strategies. He agreed with Juturna if it could be a threat neutralized without being extinct neutralized such would be advantageous to learning this force, but that was inconclusive how at this time, it had to be at the core of the infestation in the lower chambers in the ship. In the catacombs of the maintenance crew long weaved into the grave of overgrowth on the machinery made one with it,
Vlad found his mind being pulled away he fired a thick wall of ice around him for the duration of the visits, he allowed himself to be whisked away when the ineffectual body tossing of the walking weed zombies would clearly not breach the ice.
He woke up from going from extreme cold to palpable heat. He awoke next to a campfire it was being produced, however, by methods, artificial a propane set up as there was a clear high tech camp set up for the technological being. His optics dotted with data as he looked at the human and smiled "sure, feel free to join me, you must be the kind individual my student Lilian to, pleased to make your acquaintance, I am Vlad."
The synthetic human clad in a frame like a knight armor coating all but his face, which was smooth and clearly soft, one who could have an eye for such could likely conclude it to be a silicon-based artificial base. His eyes a changeable deep piercing, but a warm selection of colors, currently set in an electric green as vibrant as the forest that surrounded them.
One would be forgiven to ask why an entity as Vlad would use a campfire if they did not know the mind of its own tendency of the realm to a range object and blend themes. They could easily conclude his eyes could adjust to dark to see just fine, even in pitch black, or failing that, his glowing eyes likely could utilize flashlight like modes to illuminate the area.
He eased over a cooler offering its contents to the monk needing sustenance of that manner far less than the human. Water had its uses to the machine but hydration of carbon-based life was essential.
He gave a friendly smile, a well-attuned reader of deeper micro expressions could see a weight to the smile of one who had experienced war and trials of all sorts some marking him internally despite being a flawless skinned AI processing android. An old scarred soul could be felt to those who had honed sense and did think an android could have one.
"So..." he looked around. "This seems like a pleasant enough night for friendly interacting from those that heard of each other via a mutual friend. Got any stories comfortable sharing or questions?" He was trying, but perhaps small talk did not come as naturally to an AI like him as it did to others.

Krillin immediately relaxed as the android introduced himself. Ep-3, Lilian, had showed him an image of Vlad while they had journeyed on earth together and now that Krillin had heard the name, everything clicked into place in his memory of the individual. "Ah, Lil speaks very highly of you. Its nice to finally meet you. I am Krillin, a simple monk with a not so simple need for adventure it seems," said Krillin with a chuckled he kept to himself.
"I have never been to Kanassa before, though it does seem like some place I'd like to visit, the moons are beautiful," said Krillin as he moved to sit on a rock within reasonable proximity to the android. "The night seems peaceful here, though perhaps a bit too quite," he contemplated as he listened to the eerie silence that surrounded them. Not a single cricket chirping, or even the sound of wind through the trees. He warmed his hands by the fire, finding it odd that he could feel the warmth in the astral realm. "This must be the forest of illusion," said the monk as he stared distractedly into the campfire before them, "It gives a bit of an uneasy feeling, doesn't it?"
Krillin felt a cold chill run down his spine, though he shrugged it off. He hadn't ever heard quiet this profound, perhaps save for the deep tunnels on Kelioux. He decided he would talk to keep his mind off the uneasiness. He was in the astral realm after all, he should be safe from any immediate threats that prevented themselves.
"How's Lilian been lately? I haven't seen her around west city, I hope she's adjusting okay," Krillin expressed changing the subject casually, though not wanting Vlad to get the wrong idea about his interest in his student. "Her repairs seem to have gone well the last time that we spoke, I can't imagine what it must be like to be partially digested," Krillin gave himself shudders that time, remembering the giant sand worms and their horrible mouths.

He smiled, offering his new monk a comfortable padded seat at his side. My legend is rather storied in trial and error with a never surrendering spirit, guess that drew her to me. It is nice to encounter such free spirited adventure sorts, such as yourself in a human, it is an interesting and admirable trait in entities that can get sick and vulnerable to exhaustion."
He offered a light hearted smile. He nodded "it faces a danger now but... The natural beauty of the land is hard to deny as are the accomplished functional agricultural and technological standing of its native higher sentient civilization Vast vistas of beauty and unknown danger, carnivorous predatory creatures generally avoid me as I am a robotic being of identifiable little to no nutritional aid to their bio functions. It is wise not to get captivated by its beauty or you may fall to an angler creature. The captivating lours to a fate you rather avoid."
"Predators pressure perceptions. Be aware of your surroundings when you visit, far more than me nefarious intents may seek to make you another lost." he spoke with genuine concern for him.
He cast his awareness to the skies "But the drifting forces in the grim unknown reaches of space has its own perils.
"She has been largely kept to a formula according to her reports, she is brave and tough with a good tool at her side, I don not doubt she is fine. He tightened his fist "if not and I find out and I can make them regret these conditions not met, they will. I will do all i can to make sure of that.any lasting damage she is subjected to I will double."
He coldly reassured that.
He sighed "But I have my own devouring abomination to contest with, but that tale did fill me with an inexplicable urge to polish my casing repeatedly."

Krillin nodded, agreeing with the assessment of the android's urge to bathe after hearing of the encounter. "What brings you to Kanassa? I know the forest is supposed to have mystical powers that aid in expansion of the mind. Is it really true? If so, I should definitely add it to my list of destinations with my next trip around the universe. I don't like being gone from home for too long but I think such an endeavor would be worth my time."
Krillin sensed several powers in the forest around him, though his eyes betrayed him, showing nothing but the blackness of night and the shadows of the tall trees flickering back and forth with the fire light. "I'll have to keep in mind your warnings when I come here in person, the swarms that live in this forest may not be anything to contend with one on one, but I could see them overwhelming someone unprepared for them," said the monk, a little relieved that the android was safe from their attacks. Though he had not met the man before, he was a friend of a friend and that was good enough for the monk.
"How did you meet Lil? She seems a bit..different than most adventuring types I've encountered, and perhaps if I'm out this way soon I could be of assistance with that devouring abomination you spoke of," Krillin said as a gentle breeze blew, flickering the fire light to the side for the first time since his arrival.

He nodded whirring. "Affirmative, my branching out AI attained the capacity to link mental systems akin to a telepathic link without a conduit to the mental world outside my own mind, such as I exist in at this moment." Vlad smiled "Skilled masters in the mind exist here to, helpful to unlock your potential."
The robot brought a team of pebbles to his hand hovering them in circles as if being juggled by one hand sending them circling perfectly controlled.
"I have unfinished business on the planet, I rather resolve it sooner over later. And return to my student side more capable than before. Some powerful dangers exist on this world capable of testing mind and body."
He called back memories, "She looked for me, she stowed away on a cargo ship as luggage to aid me in an orkish invasion. She was inspired by my courage and tenacity in spite of my.... less than stellar performances. She is strong, passionate sort, scooting her form into an uncomfortable state for days to get to me."
Vlad looked uncomfortable as the flame flickered to the side as he thought of a kind way to put it.
"This.... thing....grows on organics.... it then liquifies unneeded parts of them and.... Utilizes what is left. Your offer is nice and appreciated... but may not be the best for your well being, friend."
Vlad did not wish to sound like he was downplaying the monks capabilities.... But there was a difference between a lion that can be conquered and a plant that drinks a person dehydrated as it latches onto and into them.
not to mention the fact it was an extremophile that could take atmospheric re-entry heat and the heat of unsheilded sunlight exposure

"I'll take your word for it," said Krillin looking around at shadows made by the dancing firelight. "Though hopefully by the time it's relevant I'll be able to defend myself properly. The smaller the universe seems to me, the more I realize that there are beings out there that far surpass my own strength. I'll be content to stop the evils that I can when the time comes, and have the wisdom to realize those that I do not possess the power to deal with."
Krillin walked over to the android, offering his ethereal hand in a friendly gesture even as he felt the tug of the gem weighing on his senses, his body and mind always struggling a bit to be two places at once.
"Well then, if Kanassa is still a bit too dangerous for the likes of me, then I hope that our fate brings us together when it deems the venture more appropriate," said Krillin in his youthful if a bit overzealous excitement. New people were always the best part of traveling the universe, whether it be in person or the astral realm. You could learn much by studying books, and you could learn more by doing, but interacting with another sentient being always gave him the most to contemplate, and the interactions never ceased to fill the mind of the ever curious pupil of life.

Vlad nodded "tho the nightmare I speak hopefully I can bring down the nightmare efficiently, it is quite dangerous to organic beings" Vlad pointed up and what hovered above them was a massive space ship version of the Flying Dutchman or otherwise Davy Jones bottom of the sea vessel made to resurface now taken to space as seaweed like extremophile plants trailed off. This monster's hulk of a ship was quite a sight to behold above the planet like a gradually expanding hand to grab at the world pods landing and organic material rapidly being converted to more of this alien plant matter.
"Hopefully I can make this not happen and make it a great plant for challenge not a death zone for organics still predators capable of predating people with precognition can be plain signs of probable peril."
The android chuckled "Guess I felt in the mood for seeing how many coherent words I could string together with p. But Avalon is very earthling friendly and a good point to set up the adventures to come. Namek is a good zone to prepare your body for the challenges to come.
He offered a box of deluxe field rations to the young man who needed cooked food (or really, food of any description) then the machine and tho it was only the mind realm he has sampled the flavors of chocolate in the realm before so this could still be pleasant, it was a purely plant-based box but still generous with a diverse delicious daily dish.
he sensed a fair bit of light in the monk he sensed no determinably ill intent thus the synthetic person smiled friendly his space in the presence of the man seemed quite laid back and friendly.
his plating moved independently of each other expanding and contracting subtly as the flames picked up as his frame picked up its cooling measures.

Krillin took note of the androids words, Namek had indeed been one of the places he wished to travel, as well as Avalon. Namek had Guru, a mystical teacher of the martial arts, and Avalonian protectorate was said to be one of the finest forces for good in the universe. Still, he had always been more adventurous than cautious.
Krillin politely declined the food offered him, he was on a fast as part of his monk training, and while he was unsure if the astral realm applied to his beliefs, he was unsure. It did give him something new to contemplate though.
"I'll keep that in mind," said Krillin still ever vigilante to the threats around them, sure that his new friends advice was sound.
"So you have been to Namek and Avalon? What are they like?," asked the monk, not sure which of the two would be a better fit for himself. He knew that Earth would always be his home, though he did feel at ease during his time on Kelioux, the academy offering the promise of vast, untold oceans of knowledge.
"I have found Kelioux and Yadriat to be both rather enjoyable, and while my thirst for adventure usually points me down less safe paths, it is not always smart to go into danger unprepared."

He smiled happily and pushed his hand gem into his palm "also I apologize for not handshaking you buddy, but had I done so with the mode my hands were in.... it may have drained your ki. In a rapid way at that. a defensive system I have taken up, a type of drain bit to subdue a foe. "He spoke calmly and offered his hand to him.
"Avalon is a great point to technological and some spiritual mentors but noteworthy weapons masters galactically recognized. Caution however in the badlands... if you seen mad max you have a base idea of that sort of spot or post-apocalyptic desert filled with bandits and sandworms the size of 3 conjoined busses the size of 2-floor houses at least. Avalon is a beautiful technological utopia often but, utopia is often taken advantage of by opportunists."
"Namek? a peaceful and serene place, also hidden dangers in unknown angles, some namekians wish to reshape the status quote like many humans, some ready to go to extreme ends, but from my experience, they are powerful warriors I would feel bad for any egotist that think they can conquer them militarily."
He nodded agreeing to whir of machine neck. "I recall joining that planet point, it is a nice bit to build up to, I been around the galaxy quite a large measurement. The galaxy has so very many worlds worth exploring but with a sense of caution, beauty and danger usually end up as close to one another on a planet as B and D are alphabetical. 'Calm' is a fragile thing to."
