Lord Beerus scoffed a little at the comment, "Maybe you don't need a reason to be nice, but in general people are nice to someone or something because they want something from them. Even if it is friendship they want something."

"I'm sure there's an argument to be made, given that sort of philosophy," Juch grinned, "That even people who commit selfless acts do so because it makes them feel good--hence there are no such thing as selfless actions."

"I suppose so," Juch tilted his head, "Given a strict definition, it's possible to label all interactions with some sort of hidden agenda to it. But by that logic, not all agendas are weighted the same, hm?"
