Redemption came with similar meanings. One was to save from evil, whilst other was to clear from debt. They were only similar, though, if someone thought debt to be evil. This woman, shrouded in mystery, thought on the meaning intensively while she cruised down the busy streets of East City on Earth.
It was miniscule but, just her small energy signature would bring familiar faces her way. When she would be found, she would be seen wearing a cloak over her body, and a cowl over her head. Covering her face was a mask, more like as if she was in dress for the Day of the Dead.
Not many looked her way too strangely, but they definitely moved out her way. Her eyes were set to go forward down the street with her destination seemingly unknown.
Anyone familiar with Tomoko's energy signature would find it pretty easy.

Yan was past the point of chasing Tomoko Kuroda. To say he chased her prior might have even been overstating. He definitely had attachment to her in the end, a magnetism to her that he could bot deny. Something pulled him back to her each time. There was always something, but if he thought on it, being pulled to her did not grant him any regrets. He regretted Ariel, but that was like happen stance. The girl was there but she was her own force even if she did not want to be. Tomoko herself had caused him little strain except when he gave her more attention than she sought. He couldn’t say that about a lot of people. He certainly couldn’t say that about Anna. He could no longer say it about Lilim.
So when he felt her ki signature, he paused. Just because she was there didn’t mean she wanted to be found. It was quite possible she still didn’t know how to suppress her ki even if she wanted to hide, a thought that made him snicker. Back when she was a world breaker, she had shoved him out of the way, and he took it more personally than he knew he should have. It wasn’t like he was mad, or something so trivial. It was a matter of trust and how he felt comfortable responding, which was always a delicate line for the seemingly together monkey. The slightest betrayal, the small slight, and he would throw all the distance he possessed between him and another person.
It wasn’t that strong against Tomoko, but there was hesitation, and in the end he chose inaction. He did not go to her, nor shy away, staying on the path that would place them in front of each other quite naturally. They both could keep walking if they liked, but he could see her a little ways ahead, masked and cloaked, just as she likely would not miss his striking red hair.

But she didn't keep walking. When they naturally came face to face, she stopped and all the same did she block his path to ensure his stop.
"Red."
Her eyes peered through the mask. It only covered down toward her nose, leaving her mouth exposed. Her mouth was not into a complete smile or smirk, but it seemed to want to do so.

When Tomoko went as far as to block his path, he was tempted to side step her, but the mere thought made him grin. Unlike the veteran commander—retired commander?—he didn’t bother trying to hold it back. For Yan however, a smile was just another mask and even if his mirth was sincere there was no saying some deeper more dangerous emotion lingered beneath it. Of course, the simplicity in how he easily let go of these emotions with her to focus on the mirth was probably one of the things that attracted her to him.
Lace,” he greeted in turn keeping his smile. “You weren’t looking for me were you?” he asked with feigned hope.
They had been bonded for awhile, but it broke apart in her absence, then was completely erased when her presence was completely replaced by Lilim. Now there was much more distance between them, and yet, it still felt quite small, like a single step could close it.

"Distance can bring strength to a relationship, they say"
Who were they? That didn't matter at the moment, for all Yan knew she was just bullshitting some philosophy to piggy back off what he said. She loved doing that. But it was interesting he said that, she gave him an honest answer.
"Yes I was. I wanted to say hello, saw you were in town. I miss you, sometimes. Didn't want to miss you this time, I guess. Emotions are weird, don't you think?"
YanLast Friday at 7:37 PM
”Or destroy it,” Yan countered simply to carry the dialog a step forward. People who said distance made the heart grow stronger were usually just speaking of enduring pain. If you truly wanted to be with someone, strength came just as well from being together. The longing and the pain was not needed, and sometimes it could be too much.
His eyes closed into a happy smile as she explained though. It was an answer he wanted, though a proper reason would have been acceptable as well. Even if she was just out to use him, that usually ended up quite fun.
”They are,” he agreed looking back to her. ”I always find it funny when an emotion goes from suffocating to merely a soft buzz you can easily ignore.”
TomokoLast Friday at 7:44 PM
"I'm sure that you do."
The people around them continued moving and not paying them any attention. The sounds of their mixing dialogue made it difficult to hear from time to time, but with the two focused on each other, it wasn't too hard.
"How many debts have you incurred, Red?"
YanLast Friday at 8:02 PM
”Debts,” Yan repeated as if he were trying to weigh the word. He thought about it for a moment, running through his many connections and relations.
”I owe a few that I’m sure some would prefer I didn’t pay back,” he offered smiling again. He didn’t think that was the kind of debt she meant. There were people he owed for unkindnesses. He wasn’t much for vengeance but he really liked spite. Returning the favor was a tiny bit pre, ide, and more for his own satisfaction.
”I owe one favor to a dealer of favors, and maybe a few other business transactions, debts I know the costs of, and am ready to pay when the time comes,” he continued, thoughtful again. ”But it’s rare I consider myself owing anyone something I might not want to give. I’m simply not that honorable.”
