"That was great.." He murmured, only to let out a quiet noise as he was lifted into those arms once again in order to be moved towards the nursery. Yamato hadn't really noticed Rufus' hurry in the matter, but if he knew about it, he'd understand completely for the hurry that they were in.
As they entered, he was greeted with the sight of their twins playing together in a crib, laughing and pulling a stuffed animal between each other. Then, beside them was another crib, there the newborn child was sprawled out, lightly cooing as its tiny limbs flailed about. A gentle smile found him then as he was placed onto his feet, where he started to move forward, with Rufus still helping him like a crutch as they neared. Golden irises stared up at them, causing the demon to blink in surprise and then a gentle smile to grace over his lips as he gazed down at the newborn who was looking back at them.
"You still want me to pick a name?" With Rufus telling him that he did, he nodded. Rufus didn't seem to mind how Yamato went with the traditional Japanese names, so he went with it again. "How about Koichi?" He offered, moving to press the tip of his nose against his husband's.

Rufus began to let Yamato down onto his feet, still keeping himself close as a makeshift crutch while they approached the third child that they had. Rufus offered a wide smile to his husband, and upon being asked if Rufus still wanted the demon to pick a name, he nodded. "Of course. I was never one to adopt the Saiyan naming traditions, obviously.. so I feel a lot better with you." Then Yamato seemed to be right on the dot with it, naming the child 'Koichi'. Koichi. "That sounds absolutely perfect, red." He pressed the tip of his nose against his husband's, the two of them rubbing against one another.
Then the child began to coo, gazing up at his tanned father in that moment. Rufus let out a laugh. "I think he wants to be held. C'mon." Rufus let Yamato lean on him for a moment as he grabbed at the newborn, lifting him up. "Don't worry, I will keep you steady." He helped his husband carefully cradle Koichi in his arms, giving ever so slight energy so he didn't try to push Yamato too hard. And now the two of them were working together to hold their new addition to the family.

The demon gently rubbed closer into his husband just enjoying the warmth of their closeness. It was the sound of cooing that grabbed his attention, however, blinking his crimsons open and lowering them towards the child that was reaching out. A gentle smile found his lips at the sight, only to nod as Rufus stated that Koichi wanted attention and that he'd help keep him steady. Their newborn was lifted and settled into his arms, letting them coil around the baby as he gazed down into those golden irises that watched him. "I'm so glad he made it.." Came a soft murmur, his lips shifting into a gentle smile as he leaned down to press a kiss to the top of their son's head.
He felt energy starting to enter him, causing his gaze to lift towards Rufus, but instead of telling him to stop or fussing... his smile widened as he gazed into violet-reds. His body shifted to lean into his husband's arms, snuggling into him while he held their son close between them. "While Cheria looks like you and Keita like me... Koichi looks like a mixture of us both." He commented with an amused expression, bringing his index finger down for their son to grip onto. As they sat together, the sounds of the twins would grow a bit louder as they clung onto Rufus' shirt, tugging at it as he stared at him in wonder.
They hadn't seen him in so long.

Rufus was just in the middle of enjoying the moment with Yamato, even laughing a little bit about how Koichi seemed to look like a mixture of them both. "He sure does, doesn't he?" But in the middle of his wonder, the twins grew slightly rowdy, beginning to grab onto Rufus as they looked up at him in wonder. That was when Rufus realized.. just how long he had been gone. It was months he was without his family, the kids had gotten so damn big in his stead. A few tears began to pool in his eyes as he let out another laugh, beginning to bend down.
He grabbed the two kids around their waists, hoisting them up to eye level with the rest of them. Everyone was together.. the picture of a happy family. "I swear.." He began to speak, even though Yamato was the only one that was going to understand him right now. "I am never going to leave any of you behind again. I'm going to fight for you, bleed for you.. I'll do everything in my power to keep my family safe." His determined gaze found his husband as they leaned upon one another.
"I swear it."

Yamato slowly glanced back towards the twins that were clinging to their father, only to be lifted up and hoisted in his arms. They smiled with glee, Cheria playing with some of Rufus' hair, while Keita moved in to burrow into his neck. Without seeing their father in so long, they still recognized him and gave him a great deal of affection, seemingly happy to have him back again. Rufus spoke up then, causing the demon's gaze to find him as he swore to never leave them behind again. That he'd fight for them tooth and nail.. Tears slowly filled the demon's irises, but he felt his lips forming into a warm smile as he squinted his eyes slightly in order to hold back the tears from flowing.
As he finished swearing this to his family, Yamato leaned in then, pressing a deep kiss into his husband's lips as their children continued to burrow close to their bodies. The kiss was gentle and slow, but passionate and fueled by emotion. Their lips caressed together softly before slowly pulling back, those crimsons gazing into violet-reds, their children having closed their eyes as they snuggled in close to both of their chests. "I love you, Rufus.. You're the best thing to have ever happened to me." It came out of nowhere, but he felt that his emotions had gotten high during such a sensitive moment that he couldn't help but speak what was in his heart.

Rufus couldn't help but be lost in his own emotions, at least up until Yamato leaned in and pressed a deep kiss into his lips. The two of them shared in that sudden burst of passion for a moment before their children fell to a resting state, the two men smiling at one of another. Then Yamato confessed that Rufus was the best thing that ever happened to him. Rufus couldn't help but smile, grinning from ear to ear as he gazed so lovingly at his husband. "And you're the best thing that has ever happened to me, Yamato.."
It wasn't often that he had ever dropped his husband's real name like that, but this was enough of an emotional moment to warrant it. "I love you too, with all my heart." Rufus had leaned in closer, letting their children come to a better rest against their chests. They really were becoming a great family, weren't they? Perhaps.. Ma would be proud of him, knowing the kind of man he had grown up into. For so long, he had thought that the sea was going to be his only love. But now he had a full grown family with him.
It was a great feeling.
